The mechanic botched the clutch kit, he did not replaced the bearings, when originally comes with the kit clutch.He gave me car back and not once but twice the transmission would not shift.The first time he try to say there was an issue with needing a new clutch, they made me pay for the towing, when he should test drive to make sure it was working.The second time i drove it no more than 1/2 block. The break was high and it keep locking.Mechanic try to blame it on the ABS .When i decided to cut my loses I took it to another shop where they :The booster was locking the breaks, when removing the master cylinder they noticed it was not center properly and damage the booster break.The tech notice when releasing the clutch a noise was made and they are 100% sure the bearing was either not replaced ( even if i paid for it) or installed wrong.After a month 1/2 the transmission locked up and its not working.The manager has not bother to contact or fix the situation

This place went above and beyond the call of duty! They fixed my moms transmission very quick, and had it done the day before Thanksgiving! They even washed the tree sap off the roof of the truck and the carpets in the front of the cab! They were extremely nice. Definitely will be doing business with them in the future and definitely recommend!

Breanne had very excellent service. Always kept me updated throughout the repair. I needed to get a clutch replacement, fly wheel resurface, and slave cylinder replaced. Paco their mechanic was also great, did the job well done and a quick turn around with my car. Definitely coming back and would recommend!

Was told by AAMCO that I would need a new transmission, a $3000 fix. Took it to Scott and his team for a second opinion and I’m so glad I did! Turns out my transmission had a faulty seal, causing a leak. Texas Auto & Transmissions diagnosed it for me and had it fixed up all within a few hours. Very professional and great customer service! I was traveling to Austin, Tx from Washington State. In Albuquerque, New Mexico, the 5th gear went out on my vehicle at 7:00am on the busy interstate during morning to work traffic on a Wednesday. I was instantly in panic mood I attempted to locate a local repair place, with no luck. I called Firestone in Austin that I had used prior for services. Firestone indicated that Firestone didn’t do transmission work. Cameron with Firestone did highly recommend Texas Auto & Transmission services in Austin. He was very helpful and text me the name of the owner and their phone number. I was still in Albuquerque and called Texas Auto & Transmission. Instantly I felt confident that I was dealing with a professional and honest individual. I ask if driving in 4th gear would be ok till I arrived in Austin. Mr. Harrison indicated it should be ok as long as the RPM’s didn’t pass 2.2, keeping the speed at about 50 MPH and the temperature didn’t rise. I proceeded to Austin with Texas Auto & Transmission keeping in contact with me along the way to see if I was ok. I arrived in Austin at 8:30 pm after Texas Auto & Transmission had closed, but they opened up for me to drop my vehicle off. They were prepared to take me to my motel at that hour also. I indicated I had to return to Washington State ASAP. They indicated they would check my vehicle the next day and inform me as to what was needed. They also said they wouldn’t rush the job because they wanted it done correctly. I was pleased to hear this. My vehicle was repaired and ready for me Saturday mid-morning. I drove back to Washington State and had no problems. Actually my vehicle shifted better than prior to the 5th gear going out. Texas Auto & Transmission was a life saver for me. I would highly recommend you contact Texas Auto & Transmission for any transmission needs or problems you might be having with your vehicle, they do more than transmission repairs. They are pet friendly, honest, professional and go out of their way to help you in time of need. In my book, they are the best. Highly recommend this shop to everyone. everything on my vehicle has been upgraded for high performance. So I was nervous to find a shop to rebuild my transmission that wasnt going cost me an arm and a leg. Building my trans. For the highest performance stage at a reasonable cost was the other factor as well. I Talked with Scott and their builder for a good while just cutting it up. Talking about cars, racing, transmissions and mods. Very cool people and they know their stuff. Learned a lot from these two. They knew exactly what I wanted and I got my quote. I was expecting the national average cost of a performance rebuild. It was exceptionally lower. The big named transmission shops like ammco couldnt even come close of what they offered. I went with the a mid level performance build. They had my transmission ready in 2 days. Called me up and said they put in the highest performance rebuild in at no extra cost. It also has a 2 year warranty. Sent pics of all my new parts and went through it all. Even checked out all my old parts that were replaced and checked out damages. I will never feel skeptical about needing a transmissions shop, knowing that TX auto and transmission got me covered. Thanks again Scott.
