Yesterday I went to this location to get a replacement battery. The store assistant insisted after “testing” my battery that it was in tip top shape and didn’t need to be replaced. I know that it was in fact 4 years old and definitely needed to be replaced. Sure enough the battery is dead and needs to be replaced. If you offer battery install but don’t want the sale then just don’t bother. Very unhappy with this service.

AutoZone has the worst customer service at the Riverside location. I quit going there and have been going to advanced auto. A couple days ago since advanced auto didnt have a part I was looking for, I went ahead and stoped at the AutoZone at 7th/S. Pleasant Valley location. No way in hell you will see me at riverside one. Anyways, I could not have been more pleased with the way the lady helped. Very kind, respectful and knowledgeable.Due to my previous experience with this autozone location, I decided to go there again this morning, and it is official. I am going to support AutoZone again over other places. The gentleman that helped me today was terrific. He wasnt as knowledgeable as the lady was but his willingness to try and help is priority to me. Respect is #1 and knowledge is #2. As long as you are trying and dont just do what Riverside location does (and my God do I have stories) then I will leave a happy customer. Even if I leave without the part. I will still at least order online and continue on the grind with u. Thanks to the Two great helpers. Wish I was better with names but Ill be back there and will be certain to get those names and address to their superiors how if it wasnt for them I would still be giving my money to advanced auto parts. NEVER GO TO RIVERSIDE! 7th street is only couple minutes away and you will have a much better experience. Its like chosing if you want a steak for dinner...or a can of Vienna sausage. Your choice.

I had a problem with the radiator liquid (anti freezer i think). I went there for help and Jose (the manager) and his team were very friendly and provided the complete service. They poured the liquid into the container (because I didn’t know how) and Jose made sure that that was the problem. He waited couple of minutes and run a test to be sure.

Excellent service! After my car sat for 3.5 weeks without being driven it would not turn over. I charged the battery overnight and it still seemed dead, so we took it out and brought it here to replace it. The associate who helped me on the phone and when we came in, I believe his name is Juan, took my old battery then tested it before selling me a new one, and told me my old one was 100% fine. He just saved me $165. I found out from the dealership that the issue was something else entirely, and now the car is fine and I didnt spend a dime. Thank you! Ill be back in the future.

My Battery died at a bank 5 blocks away from this location. I walked down to the autozone and asked to buy a new battery. They told me I was still under warranty with the battery and it would be free to swap it out, I just needed to bring the old one in first. I told them I would walk back to the car remove the battery and carry it back. The employee offered to give me a ride to my car with the new battery and install it, and he would take the old one back. This saved me from carrying a heavy battery 5 blocks in 90 degree weather. We found out that I needed a 13mm socket to undo my battery bracket, the employee went back to the store, got one and came back to my location at the bank to install the battery for me. This was by far the best customer service I have received anywhere. I will now go out of my way to get to this specific location, knowing how much they went out of their way to get me back on the road again. I really appreciate all the effort they put in for me!

Six Stars.... I want to start by saying how grateful I am to Izrael! As a traveler and a musician I am on the road a lot and with all the COVID stuff going on do jot get the opportunity to perform as much as I like. I was traveling through Austin on my way to A Halloween Show, after picking up a friend and as we are driving down 35 my serpentine belt breaks. Breaking down in the middle of Downtown Austin on A Saturday night when you are from out of town can be a very scary experience. My friend and I were able to make it to Auto Zone store #1390 with no tools. Paul and Izrael were more than happy to help us with figuring out what belt and pulley we needed in order to fix the Suburban. We were able to rent the tools that were necessary to the repair of the vehicle. Izrael went above and beyond the expectations that I had and was instrumental in helping me be able to fix the repair in time for me to make it to my show!! This was a big deal for me and I can not express enough how much that it meant to me that I was able to play the event that I was booked. The Suburban is happier than ever and is running like a dream! Thank you again for everything you did to help facilitate and I would recommend a promotion and a raise for that young man! How do these guys keep getting away with closing before their stated closing hours? I guess its more insulting this time as another AutoZone sold the parts I ordered online to some other customer and I hear the kid over the phone say he will stay open until 10 p.m. for me. At 9:58 the lights are off and hes counting down the last till, door locked. There was a time when a mans word meant something, that probably ended around the time AutoZone quit hiring good help to work behind the counter.

Ordered my parts at 10:30am. It was not in stock but can be delivered. The cashier said it will be here at 12:00pm. I called several times and was told it was on the way.Good customer service says it should be here when they said it would be. Close to 5pm and still not here.

Awful experience. I went in for some fix a flat for my tire. The sales associate asked me if I wanted help. I said sure that would be great. He proceeded outside with me to my car and let even more air out of my tire. He then told me I purchased the wrong tire repair item. We went back in the store and I refunded the previous item and purchased this green slime stuff. Back outside we go. He has a little air machine to fill my 45 PSI tire. Well then as he screw on this bottle of slime and looks up and sees Im wearing a wedding band and comments Oh your married I see your band. I said why yes I am. He pulls the slime bottle off and adds no air. Gets up and walks back inside the store. I had 22 psi in my tire and had to drive to an air station. Oh did I forget to mention that the slime bottle was still 3/4 full. Bye Bye AutoZone. Poor customer service. Women dont come in looking for a life partner. Totally Not Cool.

Went in for a check engine diagnostic on my car. The employee was very attentive, to my husband. Employee avoided all eye contact with me and spoke mostly to my husband while seeming to ignore me. Diagnostic test was done and he offered a good explanation of the code results. Bottom line, he was helpful to us, but it was strange and uncomfortable that he was ignoring a female customer.

William was phenomenal. They were busy, and you wouldn’t have known it from the service I received. From finding my part over the phone and then holding the last one they had in stock so I had time to call an Uber to get to the store and then having me in and out so I still had daylight to install the new radiator T and hose assembly on the side of the road . He was a true blessing in orange and black. Thanks again my Jeep runs without overheating once again.

I went to get my battery tested and the guy warned me that since it smelled like rotten eggs it was definitely bad and dangerous to drive on. I was fully prepared to pay the full price and change it myself but the manager instead gave me a discount and changed it for me! Honestly, even before this visit, every time I’ve gone to this store it has been an amazing experience. Thank you!

This AutoZone is fantastic the staff is always great. This location is not as busy as some of the main ones so I like to use it more often than not. The only thing I wish they would change is the rewards program, I put down $900 for a bunch of parts and only got one reward credit. If I would have spaced it out over 2 weeks I could have gotten several $20 off credits.

I visited this store a few weeks ago as one of my headlights was dead. I had no idea how to replace the bulb myself and the store manager was kind enough to replace it for me despite being extremely busy in the store. Yes I waited 20 minutes in line but those were not 20 boring minutes but 20 minutes spent observing the incredibly busy life of a neighborhood store and I thought it was pretty entertaining. Junior, the store manager, clearly cares about his customers and tries hard to help as many customers as he can. At one point, I heard him say we are doing community service here and I believe it is true, they are doing the community a service, they are going far beyond just selling auto parts. I will be back and will recommend the place to my neighbors.

Very friendly employees. They were so very helpful and gave me information i needed to know. I didnt ask any questions but luckily they choose to tell me really good information that i really needed to know in order to fix my car. They were patient with me figuring out the make of my car. Car says DHS but there isnt a listing for that, its actually listed as a DeVille. They helped me find the parts i needed and tried to help me find the best price. I was helped right away. Given all the info and parts I needed and was out in no time. Yall are so great. Thank you

I had one of my brake lights that needed replacing, and after reading the other review (thanks sunfish!), I decided to go to this Autozone for help. As a young female, Ill admit Im absolutely clueless when it comes to car-anything and felt a little out of my comfort zone going to Autozone. However, they were pretty friendly and got the right bulb for my car and installed it for me without me even having to ask! I was pretty nervous about having to do it myself or getting the wrong bulb or something, but they made it super simple! Thanks so much!

They rip people off! My car had an issue starting up, I called first then went there and met this guy he sent this other guy outside to my car asked me to pop my hood and plugged in his device on to the battery and he had no clue where the battery was, I pointed it out for him he tested the battery saying the battery’s totally fine. He said I’ll have to replace my alternator with a used one or a new depending on me. This other guy comes with the same device saying it’s not your alternator, he plugs the device again saying you’re battery is a 100% fine but what wrong is your starter, you’ll have to get a new one. I called a friend’s mechanic and I went to him and he said my car’s starter fine and he checked the battery and the terminals were loose. Autozone actually sucks! They rip people off! I’d recommend people get their car’s check from somewhere else before getting their work done from autozone.

Great, friendly staff. Feurnard (sp?), was extremely helpful in replacing my battery, as well as cleaning up the completely corroded battery terminals. I feel he went above and beyond, and saved me a ton of hassle and money, saving me while I was alone and in Austin from out of town. I couldnt say enough great things about this location! thank you!

Unfortunately, I still had to give this place 1 star. I went in here to see if they had antifreeze for my Jeep SRT. After standing and waiting while the 1 guy in the store came in from helping the previous customer, I explained what I was looking for. He walked over to where the antifreeze was looked at the chart and pointed to the generic all other vehicle antifreeze.I tried to explain my engine, but he kept insisting that was the right antifreeze because the chart said so. Another worker had passed by and he asked hey do you know what antifreeze she needs for Jeep SRT...other employees response oh you mean the Ford SRT 😕My recommendation, if you have to go in here make sure you know what your looking for and if you have to do your own research. If I would have ran that antifreeze he tried to sell me it would have killed my engine!
