The line has not moved for an hour. I get out to ask the employee what is going on, he tells me to get back in line. This place is absolutely horrible.*Kevin Hampton called to follow up with me, he was incredibly helpful and he corrected the situation. Thank you for your help.

Rude, inefficient, long wait times for no reason, and they don’t explain how to do ANY of the removal process. They should be shut down here because this is an extremely poorly run business. I’m so thankful to never be coming back here again.

Very rude and not helpful at all. I call to ask a simple question and the gentlemen huffs and puffs like it is so inconvenient. This is not a one time thing but every single time I have had to go there. They seem miserable and act like its the hardest thing in the world to do their job. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Pretty sure they are not the ones in trouble and stressed but they sure act like it. Anyways they are just very rude and unpleasant but Im the one who made the mistake so I have to deal with the repercussions.

Slow slow slow! If theres more than 3 cars ahead of you, expect to wait an hour. Theyre not obligated to customer satisfaction convicted of driving offences, and its obvious.*Amazing, no line at 10:30 9/8/20

This place is very unprofessional the guy with the curly hair was very rude and didn’t offer any assistance and seem like he didn’t even want to be there! He was very rude. It through me off! The garage is very small also! I truly recommend you going to another place.

This is the ONLY location I WILL GO to. Employees are very knowledgeable, customer friendly, and covid safety practiced. I had to use them 6 years ago and again today STILL THE BEST!!!! thank you guys!!! came with an issue and they stopped what they were dong to help me. I left feeling assured that I understood the issue I was having with my IID.

Out of all the smart start locations in austin, I always have the worst experiences at this specific location.1. Horrible customer service. Horrible is an understatement. These guys act like were their slaves.2. They take their sweet time talking amongst one another even though there is a line of 6 or 7 cars outside. There is no sense of urgency.I have been to other smart start locations and received way better service. For some reason, it always takes the longest at this location even if there isnt a line on certain days. There have been three different times I had to leave instead of staying for the service because it took 35+ minutes per car.I have been to the one on braker and it goes by very fast even if there is a line. Those guys are there to work, not these south congress guys. Save yourself the time.I waited an hour and a half today and there were still three cars in front of me. I couldnt take it anymore.

If you have a PAM they will make you wait in line behind people who actually need IID devices uninstalled and removed from their vehicle just to hand them your PAM. Absolutely zero logic to that. Its like they enjoy inconveniencing their customers. If youre in a situation where you need a PAM or IID go spend your money anywhere but Smart Start.

Received a rolling lockout violation without any tests missed and no info. from the Company about how the violation occurred. I blew in the machine every time it beeped and never missed a test, so still in the dark about what caused the issue (clearly a system error on the part of the Company). The customer service on this has been terrible. I was told my incident would be reviewed within 5-7 business days and didnt hear anything back until I called a second time! Its been a month since I first reported the issue! How am I being charged for this? I also dont want this documented for court purposes. How is it even possible to miss that many rolling tests within a 3 day period? Shaking my head at this terrible excuse for human interaction. HUGE SCAM!

The guy doing the calibration isnt even wearing a mask. This place needs serious help. I miss the gentleman that used to work here that calibrated two vehicles at a time.

Worst wait times ever. Came here 8/13/19 @ 4 pm. There was only one car ahead of me. I waited an hour until they finally opened the 2nd window and came out to motion for me to pull up. I get it, it’s my fault and I shouldn’t have this thing but an hour wait? If there are computer issues or whatever just come out and say so. It’s just common courtesy man. Some people don’t have an hour and 20 minutes extra in the day to sit at smart start. I will never ever come to this location again.

These are hardworking guys who don’t get a lot of respect from their customers. Sure, no one loves going here (I didnt) but these guys were always respectful and kind towards me - even if they are a little rough around the edges.A while back, I stopped by to get my vehicle serviced but the power was out so I had to come back at a later time. That was pretty inconvenient since I left work early but I didn’t complain. They waived my fee when I came back later that day. I didn’t even ask for them to do that.So, like I said, they don’t get a lot love from their customers but they do make a point to treat their customers right. 10/10 would not want to come back here again but if I had to, I’d know I’m in good hands.

These people are rude and lack any customer service skills. I had an appointment this morning 4/28/2014 @ 8am to have a light upgrade installed. I am hearing impaired and needed a better way of knowing when i needed to do a rolling retest. The guy who did the work on my vehicle installed the light and wire tied the light to my phone cradle which made it impossible for me to use. When I told him this needed to be routed into a better position, he said that he had other things to do. The work he preformed was sloppy, no attempt to route the wire to where it looked neat. Im sure if he was installing the light on his vehicle he would of done a better job.
