Wow like just wow! I was worried about leaving my car for someone else to work on due to the fact that no one touches my baby but me. But these guys sure do know how to take car of a car and its customers! Not only was the service fast but the customer service was phenomenal and they were so kind! I purchased 4 new tires at an excellent price. For a slightly higher price, competitors wouldve sold me inferior tires. I even received a free lifetime alignment by applying for the 0% interest plan. This team was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Pep Boys.
Had them replace my hose and flush the system. I am from Houston visiting I generally do my own work because I am a mechanic by trade but I didnt have a lift and couldnt do it in apartment complex parking lot. They fixed it they were kind and professional and was done in a timely manner thanks guys

I pulled in off the road and asked them if they could help take a look at my tires because one was dropping below a 17 psi. The guys were great and took time to look at my car right away and were extremely informative and helpful. I will definitely be coming back for services in the future!!
SCAM AND LIES: I Arrived way before close to have a tire replaced. There was a line in front of me. When it was my turn it happened to be little before 7. The 2 workers told me my lug nuts were siezed and they were gona have to charge me 40 bucks extra and replace the stems. So i just bought the tire and went to another shop to have it placed on the rim. The next shop took off the lug nuts no problem and placed the tire on the rim no problem. This showed me that the 2 workers at pepboys lied about the lug nuts and were willing to make up fake charges and charge me extra to discourage me from continuing to get my tire replaced since it was near close time. This is unethical and considered a scam if they are willing to make up problems to charge a customer extra. Corporate needs to look into this as im sure im not the only one they are trying to pocket money from. I have the receipt to verify purchase to legitimize this claim.
Had an appointment to purchase and install new tires for my vehicle. They called and said it was going to be busy at that time and I should come in earlier. It states that a tire rotation should 45 minutes online but man on phone said it would take 2 hours. Came in earlier and man I spoke to was rude and made me wait 30 minutes while he talked to people that came in after me. Then once he finally was going to accept my keys to to put on the tires I was told that they didnt have the tires I purchased in stock.Went to a different Pep Boys that same day and they had the tires in stock and installed in less than 45 minutes. This Pep Boys seems poorly run. Would not recommend to anyone.
I cannot thank Charles, Jeff, and Ryan enough for their outstanding service! Charles & Jeff quickly helped me resolve an issue I had with my vehicle and they literally saved me from having to cancel a road trip. To my knowledge, Ryan didnt work on my car but the interactions I had with him showed he took pride in making a customer feel welcomed. My stress level was pretty high before I went into this store, and I left with such a sense of relief. I attribute this to not only the excellent service to my car, but also the communication & positive attitude of all three employees there. I truly appreciate the work these three men did for me today, and I will gladly be back for a future visit.

Wow. Unbelievable gem 💎 Charles (and son & co.) Are some of the most personable mechanics Ive ever worked with. They told us exactly what was wrong, and the manager (Charles) walked us through exactly how the damage occurred and what options we had to repair it. I went in for rotation and was quoted the wait time looked to be about 4 hours. I told him that’s fine I would just have to sit there and wait. My vehicle was able to be squeezed in and I was out of there in about an hr and half. I also like that he walked me out there to show me what exactly was going on with my vehicle’s front end that I needed to be aware of. (It is an older truck) The customer service was absolutely a10 out of 10. Definitely will continue to go back
I ordered tires yesterday online and was able to get them installed here today. The workers were so kind and they got my two tires installed quickly. I had my one year old with me and one worker gave him a balloon while we were waiting to finish everything up. Overall a great experience.
They were going to charge me and I quote from $700-$1000 for two front rotors, brake pads and one sensor that never came up when I had the car.So I told the guy never mind I’ll go pick up the car and I asked him if you could give me the part numbers that were needed for the car and he said oh I don’t know not until Monday, I went to O’Reillys and he gave me the parts right there in then, everything cost me under at most 300 bucks at most
I had initially scheduled my appointment with the South Lamar location and was then told that an oil change with tire rotation will take at least 3 hours or more in they really couldnt tell me a time frame. I cancel that appointment and scheduled with this location At 600 East William Cannon and Im really glad I did! Not only was the service fast and efficient but the staff was polite and courteous and explained items as they came up For my attention. I will definitely be returning to this location for a future service on my Vehicle.😃😃
Seriously the best service ever. I have a brand new car, got a puncture in one of my tires and the dealership said they could do nothing for me until Saturday. Today is Tuesday. Obviously I couldnt wait that long, and I went to pepboys because it was the closest tire shop to dealer. I walked in and they were crazy busy. The manager was nice and said he could work me in but it would take about 2 hours. His son stepped out from the service center while I was talking and said he was waiting on a part to be delivered and could do it now! I was incredibly grateful and he got back on the road quickly. You just dont see service like this, he was nice, we chatted while he was working on my tire and extremely careful with.my new car. I really cant explain how great these guys are. I didnt get the gentlemans name who worked on my car, but he is the son of the manager. Seriously the type of guy you meet and instantly like. A++++!

Honestly floored by the unhelpfulness and clear lack of caring I experienced this morning. Been using pep boys consistently for years but that may need to chage.Took my car to get a flat tire fixed a few weeks ago. This morning the same tire is flat. Requested a tow to this location, but after seeing their google page showing they were closed, and calling to be immediately told they were closed - I called the south lamar location to see if it could be sent there instead.Dave at the south lamar location assured me this one was in fact open, and he had just spoken to the manager Charles. Confused already, but he urged me to call them back. 3 more calls, all met with automatic message saying theyre closed. I called Dave back at the south lamar location to explain and he offered to communicate my info over to charles since i had no way to get in touch.Charles did call me back rather quickly, but very quickly showed that he really didnt care. When i told him the phones hadnt been turned back on and went straight to voicemail - which is concerning for someone who just sent a tow there- he simply said yea we opened up a few days ago. No apology for the inconvenience or anything remotely like that. I explained the issue i was dealing with and he emphasized that since they just opened back up they have reduced staff. After all the hassle already I really just did not want my car in their care, so I asked if i was able to change the destination of the tow. (Normally I would have tried to see if that option was available in a confirmation email/message. I received none to review). He said sure, just call that store and tell them you want it there.Called Dave back at the south lamar location and he explained that he had no way of editing the tow request at all, and that i would have to call another number. I find it hard to believe that Charles wouldnt know that. So it feels like he was just shooing me away. No way I can tell as theyre phones still do not accept incoming calls. This process has really been beyond belief, Im so disappointed.
These guys were awesome. I drove in close to closing time and they took the time to remove a nail out of my rear tire. And the best part they didnt charge me. I highly recommend them for being fair an honest!
With the new change over to a Pep Boys know that the mechanics are on point. Charles and Matt from Precision Auto Care have now moved over to this location. These mechanics Ive trusted for the last 3 years and I wouldnt have it any other way. Theyve also got a great new staff. Know that if you come to this shop you will be treated with the utmost care. Im a DIY guy but I needed my brakes repaired ASAP. Charles hooked me up with Premium new rotors and pads on rear, fine tuned the fronts and good to go! Also made a complete inspection of suspension and showed me what needs attention for next visit. Excellent service!
This place is pretty much as unhelpful as you can get. The guy pretty much told me not to get my service here because they don’t do oil changes typically only full service auto service. service is service no matter how small or large the job.
Came in early in the morning as they opened and were able to help me out with my wheel alignment. Staff was friendly and Charles was able to help me out and attend to me early so I wouldn’t have to be there all day. From my experience there I got great service.
Showed up with a used Yukon from a dealership to be inspected before I bought it. Mark came out and saw it and told me to drive it into the garage. He and a mechanic put it on a lift and showed me over a thousand dollars in repairs the Yukon needed. Spent between 10-15 minutes helping me. When I asked Mark how much I owed him he said don’t worry about. Mark and the mechanic: Good people - and knowledgeable.
I set an appointment through the website only to be called 30 minutes before the appointment for them to tell me I didnt actually have an appointment and no one would be available to do the work. The solution was for me to come in at 8AM on Monday which would be awesome if I wasnt working at that time like everyone else. They should problem change the wording on the website too make it clear that the appointment your setting is just a suggestion and doesnt actually mean anything.
If I could give them zero stars I would! I had break pads installed a little over a year ago and they sound terrible. John Paul talked me into getting the premium pads, which he said would never make any noise. After about 6 months they starting making a grinding noise. The noise hes gotten progressively worse over the last 6 months. I finally couldnt take it anymore and brought it back for them to check it out. John Paul said the pads were fine and there was nothing they could do for me. I should have gone to Toyota to begin with. Never get brakes here, they use inferior parts. I guess you get what you pay for! Honestly, I didnt believe my pads were bad to begin with, as my car only had 30,000 miles on it, but that is completely different issue... Then when they bring the car back to me it has grease all over the interior!Update 10/30/17: I took my vehicle to Toyota and paid to have new brake pads installed again, all of the terrible noises are now gone. If Pep Boys truly cared about their customers they would have reached out to me. They have my name, the associates name who helped my, and the location where I had the work done. Could not have been hard to find my contact info. I will never shop here again, and I advise you not to either!

Made an appointment for a simple tire rotation and Honda scheduled maintenance check only for them to tell me it most likely wouldnt be done until the following two days. I mentioned I had an appointment and they said it was just to drop off the car and there was 10 other cars ahead of mine. Couldnt I have dropped the car off as a walk in? Whats the point of making appointments if they wont prefer you over walk ins? The guy said it was kind of stupid to expect that. I dont mind the language really, but to me its looking like its stupid to not honor appointments.
Walked in and got help right away from Manny. Walked me through my options and took the time educate me on the different levels of rubber used in tires. This was helpful in my decision, the installation went well and the service was great. Great experience!
Liked it better when it was Just Brakes. Scheduled an appointment online and was running a couple of minutes late so I called to let them know Id be there shortly. Guy that answered said he had nobody there. I asked why if I had an appointment scheduled. His response was Well because you werent here on time, I sent my guys home. My appointment was at 4 pm, I was calling him at 4:03 pm. Really?! I understand that I was late, but had the guy been less rude I might have just rescheduled my appointment. Ive been coming here since before it was pep boys, when it was Just Brakes and the manager there was super kind. Since they changed, they also changed management and the last time I went they were also rude. Safe to say I will not be coming back.
I called in early in the morning before they opened and a man named Mark answered the phone. I was explaining to him that my front passenger tire was making a horrible grinding noise and when I checked there were metal shavings in the tire well. Mark was very honest about what he thought it was and gave me an estimate about the cost. He made me an appointment on the spot and said if I needed to come in earlier I could. When I came in he was very polite. Upon inspection he and the Mechanic (I can’t remember his name) brought me out to show me the issue with my car. Apparently the Pep Boys in Killeen left out some bolts in the caliber of my tire and it was just, at that point, sitting in the tire well. They replaced the bolts for free and apologized for the other shop’s horrible service. I asked if the bolts usually come out of calibers easily, they said it’s a rare occurrence and a bolt missing usually is a mechanic error. I’m glad they were open when they were, friendly and morally competent. Best service at a repair shop, hands down!!!!
I’ve never taken my car to this location. But every time I call to try to get to where I can come out and get serviced I had to get put on hold without being told I am and or they don’t listen to what I’m saying.
I came in to Pep Boys because I had a slow leak in my tire. Ryan the service tech checked all my tires and discovered nails in my other tires (which my dealership did not catch) I had a warranty on them but Matt the store manager had to submit all the paperwork and photos to get it approved for me. Ryan and Matt were so friendly and accomodating as I waited for the approval and was able to swap out my damaged tires. Their service really made my day. I definately recommend this location.
I realized my tire was flat at 7:30pm. Every place was either closed or the technicians were already home, except this pep boys! They were so friendly and helpful at the end of their evening. Thank you to Ryan the mechanic who helped us. I really appreciate it

They have most of things Im looking for. And if they dont have them, they try to get them for me. Which is nice.Most places simply say they dont have them, and thats it.
Was quoted almost $600 for front breaks and rotors. Not even the top of line ones. Went next door....top of the line breaks and rotors were $205. Thats some hefty markup. Bring you car here if you want that type of thing.

The pep boys on E. William cannon was my third pepboys stop this morning for a 4-wheel alignment. I didnt know what to expect before I walked through the door because I had made an appointment last night at the pepboys on S.lamar and upon arrival for my 1130 slot I was informed I did NOT have an appointment and that maybe it was at the sister location also on s.lamar? So I drove down there and they also informed me I didnt have an appointment!?!?! So I tried one last stop to the E.William cannon location And was greeted by the Service mgr. Charles Williams who not only made me feel like an appreciated and valued customer also honored the coupon with an appointment online! And was very apologetic about the first two stops at the s. Lamar locations for the missed opportunity to earn a life long PAYING customer!!!! THANK YOU PEPBOYS FOR EMPLOYING PEOPLE LIKE MR. WILLIAMS. He and his crew are truely a God sent today!!!!! And I will not hesitate to take my vehicles back to, and ONLY TO THE E. William location!!!!
Horrible service...I have taken my truck back to them 3x and issue still isnt fixed. The only reason I continued, is due to it was under warranty. I recommend this location to no one!!

Deceptive or incompetent did not do free tire rotation with oil change and we pull a travel trailer so important to us and thought worth a 2hr wait with appt. Tire reading completely different between 2 Pep Boy locations and to top it off was lied to both in person and on paper work! Was told no regional manager when we tried to bring it to someone attention. Sad as we went there for years! No more!

I disslike Charles. He’s kinda rude and didn’t know what he was talking about or doing when it came to researching my warranty information . Otherwise this is MY PepBoys. I’ve gone here for all 4 of my definity tires! Have worked with them for a year now ! Besides them being a little busy all the times I’ve came in, even when scheduling an appt online, they are cool. Matt is great. Great Customer service is what i look for and he definitely provides that!!
Was told i needed over $800 worth of parts to be replaced. They kept urgently insisting it was critical to the life of my vehicle. Took it to another mechanic and they physically showed me the parts were in near new condition and did NOT need to be replaced. It is a shame that this location has dishonest employees working.

I came in right before closing as my car had died 3 businesses down. With it being late Saturday afternoon, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get it fixed On a Sunday and back home in time for work Monday!! Charles came down, checked out my car, helped me get it to the shop, and replaced the battery after regular shop hours. I cannot thank him enough! He went above and beyond to help me today!!

I had every intention of getting my car done here. But after being turned away because they can’t simply run a test for me and told me to go next-door to the auto parts store.
