Had a great first visit with technician Christina and Dr. Tony Lam. I knew this was a good place when I was greeted at the door and offered a clean mask (everyone is given a fresh mask, considering the close proximity to staff during eye exams). The costs and insurance coverage were discussed upfront, and I walked out with a trial pair of a Total 30s lenses by Alcon and a sample of contact solution. Everyone is friendly.Pros: friendly, professional staff, addresses concerns, easy parkingCons: not all frames are labeled with prices. Wish it were possible to browse by price range
Super friendly staff makes you feel at ease and doctor Tony did a really good job - hes not trying to rush one patient after another, he takes time to make sure youre well informed. Definitely recommend. The team has been super efficient preparing my visit upfront to make my visit super smooth and comfortable. Also appreciate the sanitary measures taken by this place. Thanks for the good service!
Everyone in the facility was so warm and competent. The optometrist himself was so accommodating and addressed all my concerns thoroughly. Also the receptionists were welcoming and very professional. I’m glad I chose this location. They even fit me in last minute. The facility also felt very clean and COVID-conscious.
It was my first time visit this office. The staff and doctor were nice. I don’t like the finished products. One of my lenses got damaged during the manufacturing process. I informed an associate about the issue and never received a call back or follow up. My orders were a set of lenses for my old frame and a new pair of glasses. All the lenses are made out of plastic polycarbonate I believe, they don’t perform well as my old glass lenses. It seems like this office making more money selling plastic over the real glass. But whatever! Total bill was $800 and still not happy. Can’t trust people these days so I write bad reviews based on my experience with this business. Be aware and do research before visiting this office.
Absolutely incredible service and experience!Everyone was so kind and helpful, and they took COVID precautions very seriously. I waited maybe 20 minutes for the optometrist to see me, but that was just enough time to pick out a few pairs and chat with the staff about frame options. The wait was not bad at all considering how they sanitize equipment and frames between each use.Justin was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful! I’m very very picky when it comes to glasses and he helped me decide on the perfect pair.I would 100% recommend this location to folks who are in need of an eye exam or new frames!
I will don’t back. They ignored me.I was late for 10 mins. And they make me wait for 1:15 and I left. They should tell me “we will move my appointment to the end of the day” or “we will reschedule” instead to hold me there waiting. They said because they didn’t find my insurance my the lady did a great work she found my insurance very after 10 min I arrived there (I know because I was calling to my insurance and I have the time saved on the calls) . I’m not sure why they ignore me and pass another patient who just arrived.
Absolutely the best experience I have ever had at an eye doctors. Staff was incredible, COVID safety was top notch and everything was spelled out for me. So professional. So friendly. Highly recommend.
From visit to delivery of glasses, Im impressed and will be returning. The doctor took the time to answer questions, hear my concerns, and help me decide the right option for both work and leisure.
Dr. Lam and the entire staff were super nice and helpful. Very pleasant experience!
My whole experience was so great. It was my first time at this location. Every single staff member was friendly and explained the questions i had in a patient manner. Dr lam walked through my concerns in a caring manner and i felt very assured about the whole process. Id highly recommend this location to my friends and family.
Everyone was so friendly and very knowledgeable. My eye doctor was extremely insightful when discussing strength of lenses. The staff was patient and generous even over the phone ordering contacts!
MyEyeDr. has beautiful frames. However, they are not very good with getting the actual prescription right. I took a prescription, from my primary, to them because I really liked their frames. After 8 months and already having the glasses being sent back to their labs once, I had almost given up the hope that I would ever be able to use the glasses...I still could not see out of the lenses and wearing them made me dizzy. Recently, I took the glasses to my primary dr. for evaluation. I finally was told why I had never been able to see out of the glasses. MyEyeDr placed the prescription written for the right eye in the left side of the frames and prescription written for the left eye was placed in the right side of the frame. This experience has been horrible. I dont trust ever using them again.
I was really skeptical because of the reviews, but let me tell you. They are amazing here!!!! I was beyond happy with the service and the attention they paid to me especially as a first time person. The frame selection was awesome, and they are just beyond sweet. I know they will continue to get my business and recommendations in the near future.
I am going to be honest I am not a fan of glasses, I always wear my contact lenses. I came in because I needed a backup pair of glasses for when I dont have my contacts in. The selection of frames was amazing and it was so easy to get something ordered even with a prescription from another doctors office. The staff is amazing and I will be back next year for my actual exam!
Two stars because I’ve been a patron of Optique Atlanta ( now my eye doctor) since 2011. Since the switch to my eye doctor the service has gone straight down the tube. The wait times are terrible, the contacts take 5+ weeks to order, and the doctor I use to see splits her time between sites and is never available. Optique was the first place I ever had 20/20 vision with contacts, and that’s why they’re not receiving a one star. This is my last time coming, and it will be a process to find a new eye doctor.
Very friendly staff. Was able to take me for same day appointment. In and out in 30 minutes with eye exam. Pricing was reasonable and staff did not try to upsell any more than other stores. Good overall experience.
Fairly satisfied. The staff were welcoming and nice. Doctor was professional an seemed extremely knowledgeable. HOWEVER, it was not clear AT ALL how much the entire visit would cost. My insurance benefits were laid out for me. I agreed on that price. There was nothing else mentioned about addition cost for the services....Ended up being over a $200 visit. I was also told I would receive a rebate on my contact, which I did, but it was NOT clear that this rebate would come in the form of a prepaid debit card. It seemed as if this rebate could be deposited directly into my account. Very misleading. I would work on being more transparent of ALL services and charges prior to completing and DETAILED on rebates, etc. Probably will be visiting somewhere else for my next visit.
I brought my mother in to shop for glasses at the very end of the year. Even though the office was packed with “last-minuters” like ourselves, the staff was patient and attentive to everyone. Vast selection of attractive designer options such as Tom Ford, Chanel, and Tiffany. In fact, We were able to take advantage of a fantastic second pair promotional option, and my Mom ended up with two pairs as she couldn’t decide on just one. We were given an ETA of 10-14 business days, but have already received a notification stating that one pair is ready for pick up- BONUS!*Take Note* Even though the physical address reads “Piedmont Rd”, it’s actually on Sidney Marcus. This created a bit of a challenge finding the place, but, it was all worth it!
Love it, one staff member was having a off day when he helped but I understand those things happen and people are people
I went for a medical visit due to an eye infection and a floater. I have no vision problems so I am probably different than many other customers who are needing glasses or contacts. My experience was great. The booking of the appointment was smooth and the person on the phone was incredibly nice and helpful. The doctor was helpful and knowledgeable. Could not be happier with my visit and even with a high deductible health plan, my visit was reasonable.
This place used to be amazing, but they sold it to a myeyedr franchise. The new ownership is terrible. They have lost my business. I called up because I was close by, an existing patient, and dealing with a bad contact that was giving me a migraine from eye strain. I live an hour away and needed to get a new pair of contacts before I drove home. They refused to give or sell me a trial pair. I said I would come in later that week for an eye exam because they didnt have any available appointments, I just needed a fix for the day. They still refused after I (nicely) begged and pleaded with them. I ended up having to drive home with no contacts, which was really dangerous because I have terrible vision. Fortunately I made it home alive, and am now searching for a new optometrist. They clearly dont care about their patients.
Stellar service. I did not have to wait too long to be seen by the O.D. (a huge pet peeve of mine.) The entire staff was prompt, organized and courteous. Kendra, however, is exceptional and a hard act to follow. She meticulously explained the entire process (down to naming the equipment used to test my vision.) After looking up my insruance info, she laid out my options, calculator in hand, in order to maximize my benefits. She patiently assisted me in selecting a pair of sunglasses that will fit my big head. Although my appointment was near the closing time, I did not feel rushed. I cant think of any negatives to point out. Kendra is a class act. Thanks for making this visit an unexpectedly enjoyable experience.
I think Ive never had a better experience in an optical office. From the greeting as I walked in to check out everyone was exceptional. I saw some of the reviews and understand sometimes people have a bad experience. But I think it tends to fall more on the person and how they treat the associates. Mistakes happen we all should understand that, life is life. But from the way I was talked to and treated I know even if a mistake is made they will go above and beyond to help.
I wasn’t sure about coming in at first due to low ratings online but decided to give it a try as they were able to squeeze me in last minute before the end of the year. And I’m glad I did! Everyone I met was so helpful and friendly, and signing up for the annual supply gave me a fantastic discount (and free sunglasses!). Very glad I came in, and thanks to everyone at this location!
Came in for contacts, left with a smile. The staff is amazing, and even though I came in last minute at the end of the year they took their time to help me and get things ordered as I needed.
Walked in with a friend, and one of the associates there suggested that I get my very first eye exam. Hesitant at first, because I’ve never had to wear glasses before, but I did it since my insurance covered it, and I was able to be seen right away. The experience from beginning to end was nothing short of phenomenal. It turns out that I actually do need a little help seeing things at a distance, and the staff was extremely helpful with helping me select a pair of glasses. They ALL chipped in. Doctor included. The turnaround time was way sooner than expected, and I am extremely pleased with my new gift of sight. Knowledgeable staff, Impeccable customer service, EXCELLENT promos! So excellent, that I was also able to get an additional pair of prescription sunglasses, with enough left over to splurge at Target, which is nearby. The doctor explained the importance of getting an eye exam yearly, and she will most certainly see me, AND my friends and family, for years to come.
I recently visited and let me tell you my experience was amazing. The staff, doctor, facility, and even parking were amazing. I understand people have bad experiences at times but mine was nothing but amazing.
Very courteous and professional! Dr. Seay is thorough and direct. the staff is polite and not pushy when selecting frames. They were able to save me $400 plus.
I wont even waste my time explaining how bad they are there. Dont waste your time or money. New management is awful. Went from classy to trashy in less than a year. Worst customer service ever. Incompetent staff! I chose to somewhere else to get services.
I made a mistake of not reading online reviews. The only reason I went here was because my stupid UHC app recommended it. But again who thinks that an eye place can have terrible service? If you can, please stay away from this place. Read other reviews, even the ones where someone from the business promised to do better, all a sham. The place is setup from top to bottom to only sell you new frames. I am a sales and customer service professional and trust me when I say the folks that work here are simply terrible and do not know how to do their jobs.
Walked in and was greeted only as I walked past the sales person, she didnt get up to great me and was talking to my back as I started to look at glasses. I could not browse freely and try on anything because all the frames were under lock and key. So after requesting to see a certain frame I was then left alone to have to stand there waiting for someone to come over and unlock another after another frame. Finally I was left to stand there for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to come over, I got tired of waiting and left. I was willing to pay CASH for progressive drill mounts with anti-reflective lenses and a frame. Well over a thousand dollar purchase. There are a lot of different vendors in the area, one right across the street, literally. Drove from Midtown specifically to shop at this business today. Thats a half an hour I wont get back, oh well.
My experience when I went in for my eye appointment and ordered contacts in June 2016 was fine - the people were professional and there were no issues. Last month I was out of town, ripped a contact, and hadnt packed my glasses so I called to have a prescription faxed to a local eye doctor. During the course of one day, I called 4 times and explained my situation, gave my name and phone number - each time I was told that I would receive a call back from the eye doctor within 30-60 minutes but never did. On the 4th call, I was told that the eye doctor was no longer there and therefore I was out of luck. When I repeated my request for a faxed prescription I was told that I wasnt a patient there and there was no information for me in the system; meanwhile, I was logged into the patient portal and could see the information myself. My experience with unresponsive and disorganized staff was very frustrating and I will be finding a new eye doctor.
Love the staff and Dr
I’ve been going to this location since before it was acquired by MyEyeDr. and when it was still Optique.Once it was taken over, I dread making appointments. The online system can make things more difficult than convenient. One year, I had ended up having to call in and have it rescheduled over the phone. In addition to that, I get duplicate reminders to schedule appointments. It also seems like their systems are not all the same. I tried to schedule an appointment for the location closer to me in Brookhaven, but was told that they don’t take my insurance while the other location does. Very confusing and inconvenient.I do have a hard time getting them to release a my prescription to me so I could get glasses/contacts from somewhere else. I eventually began to ask for them immediately after exams.I’m conflicted on service reviews here. On the one hand, I’ve always liked the optometrists. However, the staff members can be hit or miss. I’ve had to sit and wait for over half an hour just to pick up contacts because a staff member cut me off, told me to wait before asking me what I needed. Another staff member eventually went up to me and asked then said, “Oh, I could’ve done that for you while she took care of the others.”My most recent visit was pleasant. The lady at the desk (a different one) was patient and took out a considerable amount of time to verify insurance information for me. So hit or miss, I say.
Lack of professionalism and outright misrepresentation by the staff (Balan?). Following the completion of the eye exam, I wanted to purchase a pair of eyeglasses. The transaction was processed smoothly until I requested a receipt. Unknowingly to me, I was charged a fee for a warranty for the glasses. I asked about the fee and was told that it is mandatory to purchase my glasses. I disagreed, but the representative told me he could not sell the glasses to me unless I paid for the warranty. At no point of this interaction did the representative volunteer any information regarding the warranty itself.Turns out that the warranty was not mandatory and was provided by the facility. Both my insurance provider and I contacted MyEyeDr to request a refund. The person who fraudulently added the warranty fee to my transaction processed the request for a refund, while acting in a rude manner as if it were my fault that he had to deal with this. Will not make any purchases here again.Dr. Seay is great and very responsive to questions. She is the reason that the review is not a 1-star rating.
Absolutely awful customer service. I was in there for three hours trying to get my payment sorted out. The employee ringing me up had no idea what he was doing, charged me twice on my credit card the incorrect amount, and then I finally chose to get my insurance company involved. Once my insurance company sorted it out for the employee, he told me he refunded my card and gave me a receipt. He actually didnt refund my card, the receipt he gave me was actually not a receipt. I had to go back a week later to get a refund and prove with my statement that I had been incorrectly charged several hundred dollars. The manager was no help in this process even though he was sitting at his desk witnessing it all.
I was seen in May of 2016. I went in for a basic lens exam, and while there, was pushed into a toric lens fitting for astigmatism. My long standing prescription of both eyes being the same strength changed. Instead of my typical $20 copay, it went up to $100, and one box of the lenses used up my entire allowance- and I had to purchase 2 since the strengths were different now.I was upset and felt as though they had bilked my insurance and bilked me, so I never returned after my fitting, and relied on my glasses for a year. When I went to my current optometrist, she told me that my astigmatisms were very mild and didnt require toric correction, and my prescription went back to same strength per eye! I explained my experience with this location, and shed heard the stories and told me that my gut was right. They overbill patients because of their own overhead. If they would have just left me alone, I wouldnt even have reviewed them. They text me, email me, and as of today, even call me to pester me to come back to their overpriced, make money off of you in every way, location. They need to stop. Their pushy behavior smacks of desperation, not competent service.Edited to update that as of today (August 2, 2018) they are STILL calling, texting, and emailing even though Ive sent in requests to stop.
On November 25, 2017 I visited My Eye Dr located in Lindbergh Plaza 2549 Piedmont Rd NE Atlanta, Georgia. There were three staff members excluding the optometrist who were absolutely fantastic however the optometrist Lindsey Eisenberg was less than desirable.Ms. Eisenberg was very insensitive, I was rushed during my eye exam and made to feel as if my eye care and concerns were an insignificant matter.
Customer service has drastically declined since MyEyeDr took over. It takes forever to get an appointment, the people who answer the phones are not customer-service friendly. They have an attitude of Well, this is the way it is - take it or leave it instead of wanting to work with you. Dr. Moresi and his staff were stellar and Ive been a patient for over 10 years. Now that Dr. Moresi doesnt practice there - theres no reason to return.
I went to this location on August 8th to do an eye exam. Quick summary: Unprofessional and useless staff. The doctor I saw was the only useful person. Eye glasses are WAY overpriced. If you have a problem its best to call their corporate office to have it solved(somewhat). I had to call the corporate office twice to have a claim removed from my insurance and my money refunded back to my card. When I called the Lindbergh office the lady told me to hold on and then hang the phone up on me after I told her my name. I called again and got a BS excuse about their phone not working. I was told my order was cancelled but when I called the corporate office I was told that they did not do the cancellation properly which is why I did not get a refund (Im currently filing a dispute against them with my bank). The same thing happen for my claim. They told me that they did not file a claim for my eyeglasses but when I called the insurance company they told me that MyEyeDr did file a claim. I will not be going back to this store again. I received WAY better service when I went to target optical and you can find the same eyeglasses at a lower price. MyEyeDr should change their staff because the current people working there are incompetent.
I started visiting this location prior to it becoming MyEyeDr. I have purchased several pairs of glasses and numerous boxes of contacts even referred friends and family. Customer service has drastically declined under the new ownership. I called in today to order more contacts and potentially purchase new glasses 4th pair in less than a year and was hostially disregarded. Rather than retaining loyal longtime customers the priority is to now charge for additional services and make unecisarry appointments when an existing prescription is still valid. 5 stars for previous ownership/management and 1 star for new staff and lack of customer service. I am truly disappointed.
Wait time is a problem but the optometrist is super pleasant.
Jan.2017..I literally left from seeing an eye specialist and given my prescription.I wanted new frames so I went here. This will be my 4th time going back because my glasses were like bifocals. Then a staff member told me that it was the frame I chose, so he said choose another one.Did that; got the frames back again, the same issue. Then I was told by their senior staff; it has nothing to do with the frame choice, but the prescription.Go back to your doctor, the satff said. For what,I asked? To get onother prescription and then come back to us.I said, what does my specialist have to do with any of this; when your optometrist did her own exam? My specialists prescription and hers; she cut it and guessed a proper script. They couldnt explain that! I had to leave for work and now waiting on glasses that I do not want!! I felt soooo pressured by all of them; I just wanted to leave! The frame I wanted; still on the shelf! Im calling corporate. Its their fault that she cant get the script right or sell proper frames per customer needs. If you buy a frame and they give you what they think, it might not be a right fit.No refund.. REFICULOUS! That alone speaks volume.
Since the office is under new management, service has been terrible. Ive tried on multiple occasions to make an appointment and each time I am placed on hold for more than 10 minutes.
Amazing staff
The staff were very helpful, especially Ms. Kendra who went out of her way to try and help me locate a pair of glasses I was trying to order.
Appreciate the quality service.Worth every penny!
The absolute WORST customer service. Go somewhere else.
Great customer service!
Optometrist is great, customer service is horrible. Will update this after I get my glasses.
Wonderful doctor interaction
