Truly the best wine and cheese store in the area! Their cheese and meat selection is out of this world, and they always have the best recommendations and nicest staff.

Pretty darn good selection of cured meats and cheese along with some and beer. Its an easy shop to navigate with parking in the back. It feels like a locals wine and cheese shop.

Cheese experts! Wonderful staff. Great baguettes, olives, and specially items including small-batch ice creams and fresh pasta. Huge selection of cheeses from around the world; if you dont like the typical grocery/deli Swiss cheese because its weirdly bitter and plasticky, go to Arrowine to taste cheeses that are actually crafted in Switzerland. That fabulous cheese selection along with the customer service -- which is top-notch -- is the reason Arrowine gets five stars in spite of its abysmally tiny Australian wine section. (Seriously, with typically less than a quarter of a shelf of Australian wines, Arrowine could definitely stand to up its Aussie-wine game.)

This is an amazing place for charcuterie, fromage, and vino. Legendary selection of everything, exceptionally knowledgeable staff, and a very relaxed atmosphere with no one really pushing you to buy anything. Trust their staff, let them know what you are feeling, and let them guide you to some of your best decisions. Absolutely worthy of 5 stars and certainly worthy of a special trip just to go there.

I like the friendly service at this well-stocked wine shop, which has a very good assortment of beers and a deli. The store was a Godsend during the depths of the Pandemic, filling my special orders with quick curbside service.

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Their complimentary tastings every Friday night and Saturday afternoon (of at least 5 wines each time) have greatly increased my knowledge and appreciation for wine...and anything being poured during tastings is 10% off! We bought our wedding wines here, about 10 cases, and they gave us a generous bulk discount. Also, their cheese team did our wedding cake - see the picture - and we couldnt have been happier. Any cheese that exists they can find and order for you (if in season)...any wine from any region they can find and order for you (even if they already stock something better, which you should try instead!). Honestly there is no reason to buy wine or cheese from anywhere else in DC or Northern VA, unless youre buying a case of Robert Mondavi Bourbon Barrel Cabernet for a sorority party....in which case, go to Costco.

This review is way overdue -- i called arrowine around the holidays to help with a gift for a friend. They asked me about my friend -- what she likes/dislikes, where shes from, etc and helped me curate a custom gift basket full of things special to her for xmas (like cheese from her home state, cheese from her husbands home country). For around ~$100 i got a beautiful basket (and shrinkwrapped!) filled with different kinds of fresh gourmet cheeses, meats, olives, pickles, gluten-free crackers, honey, jam, nuts, and even a chocolate bar! the person who helped me on the phone was so kind (even during crazy holiday times!) and so patient and this basket was so kick-butt and thoughtful, i felt like i gave a custom, thoughtful rockstar gift. I loved the curbside pickup, although based on pics on their site i could wander their store for several hours if allowed. I didnt even get started on the wine... I would recommend anyone go there, customer service is excellent!

If you just wanted the best wine store in NoVa, Arrowwine would be it. They have very knowledgeable wine experts available, and they will learn your tastes and preferences over time. Thats not all, though: it is also the very best cheese store in the DC Metro area, bar none. Super beer selection, too. And the charcuterie is excellent.

Has a great selection of wines, beers, cheeses. Lots of local places have a great selection. What makes Arrowine so good is the staff. They are knowledgeable and helpful. They know their stock very well and are really helpful at making a selection. They are happy to share their knowledge whether you want to send $15 or $50 on a bottle of wine.

First time there and dont know to much about cheese besides for it tasting good but the guy behind the counter was amazing we told him what we usually like and he gave us excellent choices ! The best cheeses and wines in the area. The guys maning the cheese section are very helpful and knowledgeable about different types of cheese and you get to taste to see which one you want. There are also crackers and other condiments that accompany the cheese and wine. They do wine tasting events every now and then which is nice. And to top it all off they have some exquisite ice cream from a mom and pop shop that are really tasty and come in all sorts of Novel flavors. I didnt give it a five star review because it tends to be pretty pricey.

Ive been to Arrowine many times, but after my experience yesterday I felt the need to leave a review. As youd expect, this store has a great selection of wine and a decent selection of beer, but what I love most is their array of excellent cheeses.Yesterday my friend and I were on a mission to make the best grilled sandwich ever, so we decided to head to Arrowine to get the good stuff. Now, as much as I love cheese, I still am somewhat of a novice when it comes to selecting it myself. We walked up to the cheese counter and asked the guy what 2 cheeses he suggested combining to make the most epic grilled cheese sandwich ever made. His face lit up, he thought about it for a moment, asked us a few questions about our cheese preferences, then went to work picking some out. He sliced off a couple samples for us to try, and we were sold. We asked for a bread pairing as well (Arrowine sells incredible fresh baked bread), and of course, a wine pairing. We received an excellent white wine recommendation to go with our grilled cheese sandwiches (to really class it up).If you are looking for wine, beer, and cheese, Im sure there are many stores around here that can give you just that. But if you want great wine, beer, and cheese AND excellent customer service, go to Arrowine. Yeah, sometimes you may have to wait to be helped on the weekends at the cheese counter, but its worth it (and you get to sample what you are interested in buying).And in case you were wondering, our grilled cheese sandwiches turned out to be the best Ive ever made.

The best wine and cheese shop in the area. I generally come here for the cheese. I walk right to the back of the store and start looking for a new cheese to try. They have so many options. I am able to get specialty cheeses from around the world here. I come out of my way to this store to get some of my favorite Swiss cheeses. After I get my cheese than I go look for the right wine to serve with it. There is a wide selection of wines here. The staff is great with making recommendations. There is also a great selection of olives next to the cheeses which is also another main reason I come here. The olives are fresh and there is a wide variety of different olive types. I love this place as it has everything a person needs for a nice party or for specialty ingredients.

I have been here a few times to get some specialty items. Ive ordered black truffles from here before without incident. Today I called to order them and I was informed they had some in shop.I went to the shop to buy an ounce and one of the employees presented not one but two moldy truffles. I mentioned I would be willing to buy one of them if they brought down the price. He was not inclined to do so. So I bought the larger ones. But it was clear they did not know how to properly store black truffles and had not problem wasting such an awesome product.

They always have great wines available at all prices points. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. If you like cheese there is no better place to go.

The Arrowine folks are a fantastic resource for wine and cheese. We regularly attend the weekly wine tastings (Fri eve and Sat afternoons). I’ve learned a lot about wine from the owner and I am constantly enjoying something new. It’s my go-to source for European specialty foods - especially when entertaining.

They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I dont have the budget for $30 bottles of wine, but they do have a range of prices. Everything is well curated, so it takes the guess work out of making a selection.

I would actually rate this place a 4.5. They have a great wine selection and a knowledgable staff from whom I have received some very solid recommendations. If you can explain to them the types of thing that you like in a wine they will offer you some great suggestions for things to try. For me thats one of the best parts of this place. They also have a great cheese selection.

This is my go-to spot to pick up wine and cheese. There selection is vast and the employees are all knowledgeable. They are the type of aficionados that can describes the nuances in the cheese, meats and wine that leave me looking like a deer in headlights because the subtleties are a bit over my head. My palate is definitely not as refined, but I love seeing their passion for their products.

While I’m sure the wine and cheeses are fantastic, their beer selection is exceptional, and I’d go so far as to call it “Premier Beer”. They sell cans and bottles of just about every local brewery in the area (when will Aslin distribute?), as well as some of the heavy hitters in VA such as Commonwealth, Vasen, and Hardywood; you can’t find this stuff at Total Wine. If you’re looking for top notch regional beer, Arrowine has it.

We come here pretty regularly for builiding a charcuterie plate at home. The best find has been the bread and the olive oil. Our kids love tasting the cheese (and expanding their palates). The folks behind the counter are a wealth of knowledge.

Beer selection is not huge but its the most unique in Arlington and not over priced (looking at you west over market). Staff is fantastically knowledgeable and friendly, meats and cheeses are delicious, Im not qualified to comment on the wine selection but it looks great.

I understand why they have such a policy but I was the only customer in the shop, needless to say I was slightly baffled when I left empty handed.
