I had a great experience at The Brew Shop this Thursday. I stopped in for a last minute gift basket, and while I had a super tight turnaround, they went above and beyond to help me out. I was lucky that they had the gift basket supplies on hand (the actual box and filler material). Great service and a fantastic end result! Such a great assortment and at a perfect price point!

Ive been here several times now, and the staff is always friendly, and offer to help you find a great tasting beer based on the kinds you like! If you order ahead to pick-up they are quick to fulfill the order, and speedy at pick-up! I highly recommend signing up for their newsletter to get the details on their constantly updating stock of independent and local brews. I couldnt be more happy with the selection!

10/10 Experience, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. One of the few places to sell home brew supplies and close at 7 which seems to be the latest a shop like that will be open for as most will be closed by 6. I had gone there from out of state and parked in the 2 hour max street parking, which for most people who visit from out of state this will likely be the main method of parking. Pay stations are by telephone poles which 2 hours costing 3.75 and 1 hour costing 1.75, which it takes coins, 1$ bills, and credit cards, and dispenses a ticket to be placed in the dash. I have no brewing experience and had only gotten interested on a whim after watching a YouTube video and the staff was able to explain every aspect and process of it, what to do and not do, some of the terminology, and what would be best for what Im looking for in regards to yeast, food, additives, extracts, etc. Its a half hour drive but I still intend on visiting them for what I can. While this did not involve me I noticed they had premade alcohol for sale as well as grains for making alcohol.

Great folks here and a good selection - and if they dont have it, just ask! I shop here weekly.

The spot if you’re a beer or wine lover. Plain and simple. I’ve seen several beers here from various places in the country that I’d only ever been able to find at the brewery where they’re made. While I miss going into the shop (no customers because COVID), their online ordering system is unbelievable: accurate inventory with pictures, and every time I’ve ordered it’s been ready for pick-up within 30 minutes. I cannot sing the praises of the entire team enough!!

Visiting from WI, this place has an amazing selection of beer from all over the place! They parse out and label their beers by type, so it’s super easy to find what you want. I also recommend buying some brew supplies because brewing is fun!Buy some Family Times, they brewed it with chocolate!!

Cute little place with great service! Went in looking for some bottles of wine for gifts. They didnt have the major brands like other retailers, but that was fine. The bottles I landed on were pretty unique and the guy at the register seemed excited about the purchase. He knew exactly what to recommend as a food pairing and he took his time to chat with us about it. He even offered a wine tasting of some stuff they had on tap! Seriously awesome service and a very unique, quaint little shop. Great job folks!

This place is awesome! Everyone here is so nice. They always have new beers both bottled and on tap. Their weekly newsletter keeps me up to date on what theyll be adding. They have tastings on Fridays. My next step will be trying home brewing and Ill definitely be picking up my equipment here.

This is a cute little place with awesome customer service and beer! I didnt even look around the store (I wish I would have...) because I got caught up with beer sampling, and Im so excited about the two beers I took home. However, the next time I visit The Brew Shop, I will definitely look around the store.

A beer oasis lives here. Its on the smaller size, but sells mainly beer by six pack, growler, and singles. In addition, for those that brew their own, they have kits and raw ingredients. Its the only place short of Seven Corners that has it. You can also get wine... But the focus is beer in all forms.

I happened up this little shop on my walk to a doctors appointment. I had recently inherited a kegerator from a roommate and needed some co2 and some guidance on connectors. The woman was very nice and explained where I should go online for additional supplies and I was able to get a 5 lb tank of Co2 right there which saved me a long drive to a welding supply shop. So glad to have this little spot in Arlington!!

Ive been going to this place since I read about it first in Arlington Magazine and I am so glad I did. I come here/order beer on average about 2 times a month, some months 3. I love beer and drink a lot of it and will probably end up taking homebrewing up.The beauty of this place is they have an amazing selection of beer, homebrew kit supplies, growler fills/refills, crowlers and you can get select wines and nitro coffee in a growler as well!They also have snacks that pair well with different types of beer. You cant go wrong here. Owners are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Best beer store in Northern, VA. While there are other places to get craft beer, you wont find a place the has the whole package like Brew Shop. Good taps, growler fills, great prices, awesome selection (for beer, wine, and cider), party foods, and GREAT attitudes. This place is doing it right, and its about damned time Arlington got something like it. Ill probably buy beer almost exclusively from them from now on.

Amazing spot, went there to get some home brew ingredients, they had most all of what I needed, called ahead to confirm just in case, a few of their hops had been picked through pretty heavily but still a good selection. Great selection of bottles/cans to take home to enjoy while you brew as well. Unfortunately I didnt check the canned on date of the local IPA I picked up and it was a bit past its prime, but I will certainly be back to peruse their offerings with a closer eye. Growler fill lineup was good, local selections and a variety of styles, had to get 2.

This store doesnt have as varied selection of beers as some of the larger stores, but it makes up for it with an offering of beers that I havent seen at any other retailer. I believe there are about a dozen beers on tap, with growers of 16, 32 and 64 ounces. They also offer some ciders and meads. The people working there are super attentive and claim to have tried most of the beers. Prices seem a bit high.

Being a metro-bound DC resident, Ive been either schlepping my supplies from Three Stars or ordering online when I couldnt find the time to get up there for a long while. Three Stars is great, but the location is far from convenient, and the hours are weird. This place solves all of my problems. Walking distance from a central metro station, they have everything I need at reasonable prices. Add to that a nice atmosphere, friendly service, and a fantastic selection of rotating taps for growlers and craft six-packs. Ill still go to Three Stars when I have a free Saturday, but I have a feeling the Brew Shop will become my more regular stop for all things homebrewing.

Great selection of local and out of state beers, carries all the big names and even offers kegs for order. Has a good tap list for growler fills and a sizeable cold beer section at very reasonable prices. Definitely worth the stop. Parking can be difficult during the week, but the garage around the corner is adequate for smaller cars, and if youre quick usually free.

Well, I guess The Brew Shop has officially been around long enough that they stopped caring. We went in Sunday to fill a growler, and the staff was not friendly at all. They did not properly close the growler (much less seal it), and it spilled in my car soon after we left. By the time we got home, the beer was flat. While The Brew Shop used to be really good, Im disinclined to ever spend money here again.

This may be an excellent source for craft beer, but do not be deceived, this is not a full selection brew shop. If you are a brewer this is not your store. If you are a +5 gallon brewer you will not find your needs met here. More concentrated on the stop in beer selection than the byodb group.

Even gas stations and convenience stores usually have some decent beer these days, but The Brew Shops selection is MUCH wider. As others mentioned, theres also a great selection of wine, a create-your-own-six-pack, growlers with beer options that are rotated frequently, and homebrew stuff. Im so glad a place like this opened within walking distance of home. Its about a five minute walk from the Courthouse Metro station, and theres a parking garage right nearby on N Troy St that should be free after 6 pm.

Excellent shop walking distance from the Court House and Rosslyn metro stations. Quality selection with a great rotation. Staff is extremely friendly and know all about their products. Beer in cans, bottles, and taps (even nitro coffee and wine!) Great supporters of local breweries and owned by two awesome women! Few craft beer shops can stack up against this one.

Decent selection. Not as good as mlhbs in Falls Church. Staff is interestingly clueless when it comes to actually making beer, which is ironic in that this is supposed to be a brew shop. I asked them how to make all grain lager, and they told me to read this white binder that has recipes for extract ales and that they didnt know about lagers.

This place has it all: an amazing selection of beers (including singles, 6-packs and large bottles - both your favorites and hard-to-find rarities), wine and homebrew supplies. Prices on the beer are what youd expect - not exorbitant, but on par for the location. The homebrew supplies, while only a portion of the store, stock a selection of popular items. The price of grain is the same as larger suburban stores and they had all the types I wanted.Overall this is a great addition to north Arlington and not a place you want to miss.
