My boyfriend has been coming to Ann Arbor Auto Care for about 10 years, and while in the past the owner has helped us out in a pinch, the last couple of visits have not been great. I had an emergencywhere my tailpipe fell off my car and in order to have it fixed I needed to have Ann Arbor Auto care fix a gas leak in my car first. My boyfriend made an appointment to get the gas leak fixed (which the owner fixed on a different car of mine in the past, no problem). He explained the situation to the owner and scheduled the appointment a day ahead. The owner promised to have us in and out for $450, which was fine, and my boyfriend even offered to pay an extra $50 if he did have it done. He also told my boyfriend that he wouldnt have any other appointments in the morning. But when we got there around 9:30, he said he had to take care of another customer who needed an oil and tire change. So we waited (since we were a late), for nearly an hour for the owner to come out and tell us that would we have to wait three more hours for him to get to it or leave the car there. Again, he promised to have us in and out. This isnt the first time we got the run around with this place and the owner said one thing and then changes his tune when it was time to fix repairs. And when my boyfriend confronted him about it, he ultimately decided he wasnt interested in repairing my car. Would not recommend this place.

Brought my 08 accord here after I installed an alternator and it was not starting. Turned out I shorted it these guys figured it out and had me in and out in a day. Would recommend worth every bit of 5 stars

This was a great experience. I came in on a Monday and had electrical issues with my car and was not able to drive it. They called me back Tuesday morning and said they were able to get me my car by that afternoon fixed and ready to go with my electrical issues fixed and my oil change and tire rotation done as well. It was a great price, and super quick service! I hope to have found a mechanic that I can go to for tire rotations and oil changes from now on!

My calibers locked while I was on the freeway after theyve been fixed by another Machanich in Detroit, God led me of the freeway and into Sams driveway at ann Arbor Auto care🙏 He corrected the last machanichs mistakes and shed light on truth about my car. He fixed more then one issue and with care to... HES all I trust with my jaguar🤞🙏

Very caring and friendly they went out of there way to take care of us. We were traveling from Georgia to Michigan for an important surgery and on our way home ourcar shut off on hwy 23 I had it towed to the closest mechanic and it just happened to be Ann arbor auto care they worked so hard and were very concerned to make sure our car was trip worthy to get us home safely. They did a great job we have been able to make a return trip since then with no worries............. Thank you so much for the blessings we received from yall.

Would not recommend.i had an gas leak so I made an appointment for the next day which was July,27,2021 at 9:00am and was told that he the OWNER had to cars work on other cars, and that it will be 3hours to get me in.when I was told that it would only take 1and half hour.so ended up going somewhere else waste of my time.....

Sam has become my go to mechanic for my Lincoln MKX. He takes amazing care of his customers. He takes the time to show me exactly what and where the problem is, explaining everything thoroughly and he gets my repair needs taken care of right away. His prices are very reasonable. Bottom line—Sam is a hard working and honest mechanic. A guy that I like to know, personally. Highly recommend 👌🏼

Sam is an AWESOME certified mechanic. He has ALWAYS done great by me when fixing my vehicles. He allows me to bring my own parts and charges me labor only. He always let me name my labor price and cash gets you a cheaper price.

We had an unexpected misfire of our vehicle while an hour and a half away from home. We just happened to be right near Ann Arbor Auto Care and Sam was very helpful- explained everything very well. He fixed the problem and we were on our way back home within an hour.

My experience 5 stars. I was from out of town, and needed a emergency service. It was on Friday around noon, after calling few places it looked like I had to wait until Monday. But was lucky to find this place. Not only they took care of the problem, I was back on the road with in 4 hours.Thanks Sam.

This mechanic shop is great we had a track breakdown take it to the Dodge dealership they said they would have it done within 3 days they hadnt even touched it in 3 days had a record take it from the Dodge dealership to this guy they had it done the next morning great work and they gave me a warranty

Always fast and friendly service. It is so nice going in and explaining what is going on with my car. They quickly pin point the problem and fix it at a very fair price. Even when you can tell they are busy they take the time to explain everything to you and answer all your questions.

They did the wrong work on my vehicle. I told the mechanic i need front END tire rotors work ETC. HE installed a muffler FOR $400. I took it to the Ford repair dealership in my hometown. TO be FIXED correctly.!

This guy is a true CON ARTIST!! Dont waste your money he will screw you over. I trusted this chump with fixing my brake pads and to this day I STILL hear scrubbing noises. Took it back to him for him to say it will scrub like in the morning because its suppose to do that at first, yet I still hear it. Lawsuit is in order and I really hope he is shut down because all he is doing is stealing money. DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY!!!!

Edit: To remove any doubt, this is Ann Arbor Auto Care at 3170 W Michigan Ave. Its a small building right in front of a Shell gas station.I asked to have a flat fixed. Instead of fixing my flat Ann Arbor Auto Care stole my tire and switched it with a worn out old tire that could have hurt or killed me. See the picture on this review? Thats not dry desert soil, thats the ruined dry rotted sidewall on the tire they gave me.My car has 25,000 miles on it and is well taken care of. The tires were still very good. Unfortunately I got a flat. It was a hole in the tread, not in the sidewall so I knew it could be fixed. Regretfully I brought it to Ann Arbor Auto Care. I had to get to an appointment so I didnt check very closely when the job was done. About a week later I was driving to work and my car was shuddering horribly at high speeds. I pulled over to see what was going on and saw to my surprise I now had three tires in good condition and the tire that was fixed was a completely different brand from the other three, had all of the tread worn off the edges and had a bulge in it. I took it off to put on the spare.As soon as I pulled it off I saw that the sidewall I hadnt been able to see on the inside was flaking to pieces. I could see the mesh inside the tire there was so much rubber missing. Its like the tire had been sitting in the sun for several years with that side up. Ann Arbor Auto Care just bolted the tire on with that side facing towards the inside and hoped I wouldnt notice.Bad tires are no joke. If I had been in traffic when it blew out I could have been hurt. Whats more, I had to buy completely new replacement tires for the rear of my vehicle. Thankfully Im all right and I learned two important lessons.1. Always check the work the mechanic does so if they do scam you, you can catch them on the spot, otherwise theyll deny they had anything to do with it to their last breath2. No matter how convenient it seems, NEVER on Gods green Earth will there be a good enough reason for any potential customer to let Ann Arbor Auto Care lay their hands on your vehicle.Risk to my safety aside, because I had to buy new tires I literally would have saved money getting my car towed to the next town over and getting the flat fixed there.

Absolutely great service...i had a flat tire down the street from ann arbor car care. i pulled in without a appt.on a monday. the guys pulled my truck in wright away put my spare on and i was on my way within 15 mins.Thank you.

Had the pleasure to have these guys fix me car!My wheel well liner popped off and the replace everything it would have been +$300. Luckily these guys could reattcked eveything, took about an hour and $55. These guy look out for you and speak in simple terms so a non-auto savvy person can understand.

I dont write reviews often, but this place deserves it. Like everyone else, I had to get new tires (that I already had) installed the day before this years first big snowfall. Belle Tire, Discount, etc. were all booked for days. So I called here (on a Saturday afternoon) and I was told they could have it done that day. I brought the car in, came back a couple hours later, paid $80, and drove away with 4 new tires installed and balanced. They also fixed a grinding sound that was coming from one of my wheels when braking at low speeds. To top it off, Sam gave my brother mechanical advice when he could have easily made money off of it. Professional, honest, and accommodating are the words that come to mind when I think of AA Auto Care.

Tried to scam me out of my car title and ripped up my original copy. I have filled a police report with the Washtenaw County Sheriff Department.WORST REPAIR EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE.NEVER COMING BACK HERE. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Im very upset but Im returning today! I needed 2 tires for my 2005 Ford Escape! I asked Sam how much was the 2 used tires he found and he told me $52! Wierd price so I asked was that for new tires, he said no, used! I still thought that was high and an odd number so I figured maybe its 49+ tax, rounded to 52! I asked him about balancing my tires in front and it was $4 a tire! I saw a nail in 1 tire, the other was still on the shelf, so I didnt get to check that 1! I knew he wouldnt sale me the tire without checkups it and making repairs, but I asked if he was going to repair the nail damage just in case he missed it and he responded yes! I felt stupid for asking a Professional if he would do the professional thing to do! A few people came through and he took care if their bills and such! I then reminded him about the nail as I heard him taking my tires off. He stated he would remove it! I looked around his office and saw many BBB recognitions and once again felt stupid that I asked! When he finished and thanked him and apologized for asking about the nail so much! I began to think this man thought I was crazy for asking a dumb question, but I explained that not everyone has great customer service! As I drove on the freeway, I thought that my truck was driving like the wheels were not balanced and it even felt like a nail was in the tire! Upon stopping it was too dark to see, so I saw nothing! The next day I tried to see again, but couldnt really tell the way my tires were parked! The next morning, I looked at my tires again and waalaa, there was that same brown-headed looking nail! I was furious and hurt! I found my receipt and called Sam! I got an answering service that made me think no one will ever hear my message I ended up leaving! I called back just to see if anyone would answer, and nothing! Im still waiting on a call back! On my message I stated that I would not be back in the area until Saturday! Im on my way up there in a couple of hours and I pray all goes well! My bill was $118 and I did not receive the services I requested and paid for!-----------------Sam and I texted many times since this review even while he was out of town! I finally met to speak on person on November 24! He accused me of lying while watching his video tape, but eventually stated that he was confused with my vehicles tires and another! He apologized to me and agreed upon reimbursing me $55 to cover my expenses for Martins Tires handling the tire issues and a lil extra for my transporting back and forth! Im appreciative of his efforts to right his wrong and wish him all the best in his business! The tires were very great (Michelin)with the exception of the nail!

Sam sold me a car that he said was in good condition for $3000. I have been his customer for a little over a year and was in a tight situation (single mom with no family where I live ) and I decided to trust him. I was driving the car,within the week I noticed some sounds and issues with the way it was driving. I took it to him and he said nothing was wrong. The next day, the car stalled on the freeway. The ac compressor was messed up and in turn the serpentine belt snapped. I towed it up to his shop,after calling and verifying it was ok. I expressed my frustration about the issues with the car. He got upset.and tried to charge me double the price then said he wouldnt work on the car when I said his price was ridiculous. He was unprofessional and unempathetic to the situation. Definitely took advantage of my unfortunate situation and sold me a car that needed work even though he said it didnt. Will NEVER be going back there,even if I break down right in front of his shop. SHAME ON ME FOR TRUSTING HIM.

NEVER TRUST THIS PLACE AND NEVER KEEP ANYTHING VALUABLE BEHIND YOU IN YOUR CAR. I DROPPED OFF MY CAR FOR BRAKE REPAIR I HAD RAY BAN GLASSES AND $50 in my glove department when i picked up the car it was gone. Very unprofessional.
