I had to purchase new wheels due to excessive corrosion and I received excellent help with all questions, a great price and outstanding service from all staff.

Unfortunately, my 20+ years of patronizing discount tire has come to an end. What was once the go to place for the best prices and fast service, it has now become the place for average prices (same as everywhere else) and looooonnnnggggggg waits. I have 2 days and 4 hours invested in a new set of tires (both times WITH an appointment). Their reputation is so good, it’s become a detriment. If they could figure out a way to properly follow a schedule, I’d consider going back. Until then, I can no longer waste hours and days on something that takes everyone else less than 30 minutes. To be fair, it’s not this location that has this problem; I’ve gone to discount tires across the Midwest and they’re all the same. Way too busy. I emailed corporate my fair critique, that the issue lies in the system they give the stores, to which they replied they forward it to the store manager whom hasn’t replied at all. For me, it’s Costco for tires now!

Made my purchase online along with the scheduling appointment. Once I was there social distancing what appropriate, once signed in return to my vehicle and awaited instructions to enter service Bay. Service was performed while in the vehicle. Staff was courteous and professional. Done within an hour and on the road. Satisfied once again with discount tire.

Didnt feel like they were trying to trick me into paying more for services than I needed to. The wait was about 2 and a half hours. Lots of other customers in there complaining about the wait but also its an auto repair shop so that sort of thing is just part of it I think.

Discount Tire has been a go to for tires in the last 12 years on my vehicles, and the service has been consistently very good. The warranty service for my tires helped replace a tire today after a screw had punctured the sidewall over the weekend. They replaced the damaged tire free of charge. I did purchase a new warranty for the replacement tire for $18, which is still worth the money. I recommend getting the tire warranty. They can be very busy, especially when they are having tire sales around three day weekend holidays. Allow them a little time or schedule online for new tires. When I had the punctured tire, I brought my car in at 8:00 AM and they were able to replace it a couple of hours later, they were very busy, and I had the expectation it would take a while. 12 years ago I had a punctured tire and took it to their founding store on Stadium Blvd. (closed and relocated to Jackson Ave.) late in the afternoon on a Friday, and they repaired the puncture within a half an hour just before leaving on a road trip that evening. Their staff have always gone above and beyond. Their service staff has always been very polite, knowledgable, and communicative.

These guys are trying to work with limited help best I can say I would give them five stars except they missed the bent rim on my car and I had to convince them that the front tires were not balanced properly because of the steering wheel shaking actually just had to be somewhat demanding that they rebalance balance the two front tires after a little way they did balance them at which time it was proven to be true that one of the rims was bent at which time I had them switched the bent rim with the spare tire rim ...everythings fine I feel good that I was right but I wasted about 3**(including drive time back and forth)*** hours of my day returning after having to leave the car the day before all in all these guys are hard-working and I believe thats the reason they missed the bent rim probably moving a little fast trying to please the customers again waiting a day for a car and then having to go back and wait another hour or so after picking the car up and expecting it to be properly serviced and inspected was a bit much ...

Theyre busy for a reason. Got my tire repaired for free and it was done quickly since I scheduled a time to drop off my car. Thanks guys

Great service, courteous employees. Had a nail in my tire that was just leaking very slowly and they patched it up and sent me on my way. They are asking you to make appointments ahead of time for routine maintenance, I was able to get an appointment next day!

I have been trying to get my tire pressure checked at my local discount tire for almost two weeks now and they keep saying they’re not doing that at the moment for various reasons. I really need this done as I’ve been having consistent issues so I’m trying to figure out if there’s certain hours I can come when the service is offered or what. The store never gives me information they just say they’re too busy at the time. I tried calling a couple times and just waited, no one ever came to the phone. I also tried the chat option and just received a notification that there are no available employees to talk to. At this point I’m going to unfortunately have to take my loyalty elsewhere because I really need this done! I’ve never had these issues with the other locations...

These people have the promptness and sense of urgency almost like a pit crew. Good vibes all around here, I am a repeat customer! Gonna probably come back for a full set of snow tires soon.

I have never been dissatisfied with this place. The staff are courteous and professional ALL the time. I wish customers could be given this type of service at all establishments! I bought tires from them once, two vehicles ago, and they still give me complimentary tire service and are always happy to help me with any little tire leak, TPMS issue, etc.I currently lease my vehicles so I do not have need of new tires that frequently. But when I do this is the place to buy tires!!!

My daughter dropped off her car to have tires swapped. They removed the winter tires, then said that they could not put on the summer tires because one was too worn. They also refused to put the winter tires back on because one was too worn. Would not put one type on front and the other type on the back as a temporary solution. They required her to buy a new tire and then would not let her pay over the phone or online. I had to drive there to use my credit card. This reminds me of why I havent gone to Discount Tire with my cars in many years.

Took care of emergency tire issue just as they were closing up shop.

So i made an appointment for just before Christmas so i could drive more safely across the state. I told the person i needed a steel rim and two back tires for an 03 Ford. Oh, ya we got that, they said. So the day comes of my appointment. I go up to the counter. Sorry, we dont have that rim, they say. Well have to order it. Remember, i made an appointment for a week in advance. Then the man at the front desk proceeds to try to sell me a mag chrome rim for 120 dollars that would fit my car. My car is an 03 crown victoria. Its also winter. Also, all the other rims on my car are steel like most cars on the road. This place is a joke. I didnt know every other car on the road had chrome rims in winter because thats all any of these places keep in stock. And now, should i drive across the state needing tires in the winter when I specifically made an appointment for them to have a very average steel rim? I guess cars only have chrome rims in winter, now. News to me. Ill never go to one of these BS chain stores again. Chrome rims? A week in advance and still couldnt figure it out. This place is the worst. Never again.

Billy is very polite and courteous. I was waiting for over an hour to get my service done and while heading back home, the TPMS sensor warning popped up, so I had to get back and fix it. Even though there was a slight issue with the sensor, he is being just amazing to everyone and I have to give him a credit of how he can keep in that characteristics with being a mechanic. I would definitely recommend this place.

I buy all my tires here for my own vehicle and my kids vehicles for the last 15 years at least, they would get a 5 star rating but they never give a discount for loyal and returning customers.

Been going to Discount since 1972, will never go again.Previously took a tire in and replaced, bought and paid in advance. Went home, mounted spare brought truck to store to swap spare for new tire. They refused to do it unless I bought 3 more new tires. A shouting match ensued, nearly coming to blows. Another employee intervened, installed the new tire.Later trips the customer service got worse. If you are not buying a new set, you are last in line. Didnt install spare when they acknowledged the tire would not hold air. We can order a new tire, it might take a week. It took 4 days,....4 days for tire replacement they sold just over a year ago. Give these clowns minus 10.

Friendly staff and quality service. It took some time to get my car back but they were kind enough to waive the repair cost because of the delay.

Arrived at 3PM Staff was friendly & nice. Purchase 4 new tires.Was told it would be ready by 5PM. I waited and waited and waited.Saw a few non-appointment others come in and leave before me.Continued to wait - patiently.Asked at 5:30 and was told just a few minutes - we close at 6 he said..I left at 6:15 with no tires, but had refund for my purchase and a hatred for Discount Tire like no other business.Why? Because this is the second time this has happened to me at this store in the last two years.Been coming for my families three cars for a long time. NEVER AGAIN!

Showed up for my appointment. They got my car in on time. Were finished in about 45 mins. Easy peasy.

They are a knowledgeable store polite and curtious but they are too busy and don’t tell the truth about how long it will take. Came in and bought one tire. They told me 1 1/2 hours. It TOOK 4 hours. Not acceptable. Still better than BT.

Ive known this place for 10+ years serving 4 cars for my family. They never disappointed me even once. Recently I bought 4 Michelins for my X5. I was not happy with the ride and thought to exchange them. Went to Bryan Storey (manager), he drove it as second opinion. At the end I heard a sentence that Ill never forget, whatever you decide Ash, Ill do anything to keep you coming here, dont worry about the 30 days period, Ill take care of everything. The kindest person Ive ever dealt with in my life. This is the real customer service. His crew are like him: Billy, Isaac, Michael, others; great people.

Horrible Service. I Set An Appointment Yesterday At 3:30 Have Received No Call Or Update about My Car. I’ve Been Calling Since Yesterday. Called About 48 Times At This Point And Waited On Hold Every Single Time And Still Have No Clue About My Car!!!!!!!! NEVER GO HERE EVER!!!!!!!

Came in on a Monday the week before 4th of July, I did not have an appointment and the parking lot was full of cars waiting. My tire wasn’t able to be repaired and nothing was in stock for my wheel size. I worked with Rich who did a great job helping me when I came to pick up my car, he got me in and out the next morning in 30 minutes and on my way to work! I’ve been using Discount Tire for 10 years and I would highly suggest them to anybody in need of tires. Great customer service!

I’ve been coming to the Carpenter Road location for several years now, and have purchased several tires. They are always reasonably priced and prompt in their service. Today, I stopped in because I had a large nail in one of my tires. It was a very busy day for them, but they had me out the door and 90 minutes without paying a penny. I appreciate the discount tire continues to work tirelessly to build a rapport with their customers, it will keep me coming back .

Bought a set of tires. They didnt have the Cooper tires I wanted but sold me comparable tires, Falken. I had looked online but was surprised that with installation the price almost doubled. Online price is for tires only. Dropped car off and they had it done before closing time.

I had a great experience as always, everyone here is helpful and nice. Rich gave a great customer experience, explaining things in a way that was understandable and offering options fitting my wants. This is my go to spot for tire help!

I made an appointment online which is the way to go. I did my tire research online. When I went in today Isaac was awesome he said it would be about an hour hi. I went elsewhere to do shopping and got a text within 45 minutes my car was done more. This was an awesome experience as I was a first-time tire buyer.

Ive gotten tires for 4 vehicles here over the past several years. Bryan, the manager, and his team are corteous and professional. They offer good advice about tires and try to get vehicles serviced quickly, even for the free air tire service. Nice area to sit in if you plan to wait while your vehicle is serviced. The restroom is tidy and clean.

BEWARE of Discount Tire on Carpenter Rd in Ypsilanti, MI, esp if youre a female college student. They totally took advantage of my god-daughter last week by charging her extra services and telling her that the charges were included with the tire price. She informed the employees that shes a college student on very tight budget and definitely can not go over. She initially wanted to purchase 4 tires (even though her vehicle is front wheel drive) because all tires were worn and needed to be replaced. Before going to the tire store she researched the price on their website and calculated her costs. After getting to them, of course they told her the tire she wanted was out of stock and then offered her another tire of the same brand that cost a little over $10 more. That price was doable because it was still within her budget. Well when it was all said and done, she paid for her tires and was about to leave but she discovered she paid for two tires and not four. They told her that the price they quoted her was for two tires and they placed them on the rear, leaving her to STILL have to obtain more money for tires that should have been included with the price she was quoted. With her not knowing how to handle this type of situation, she became a victim of Discount Tire instead of a satisfied customer. Again, BEWARE of Discount Tire! They want to be given 5 stars but doesnt give 5 star service. I definitely can not give them 5 stars not even 1 star but I couldnt post review if not! So know that the one star thats shaded means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because THEYRE NOT WORTHY!!!!

The service at this discount tire is top notch. I am happy to call myself a repeat customer. The prices are very competitive and the salesman are very well informed and easy to talk to.

Was told over the phone that my flat could be fixed within two and a half hours upon arrival...what actually happened was we waited an hour in the heat to get to pay for our tire to be fixed then another two hours for the service to get started with nothing but excuses about only one more car ahead of you, then when they finally get to working on our car we were put up on three jacks for the work to be done, we heard our car Creek and felt extremely wobbly up in the air, the only good thing about the whole experience was the mechanic who was polite, apologetic, and professional

Great, polite, friendly, professional. They actually bring the tire to you and show you what is wrong with the tire. I was amazed, never in the 45 year of driving did a mechanic show me the inside of my tire. He explained what the black stuff coming off my tire and the thread inside wire. Great service.

I would like to take the time to thank you guys for top notch service. My husband came in today with a tire for a flat repair. He was there when you opened, with no appointment . Not only were you guys very professional, you took the tire right away, repaired it and had him on his way within 30 minutes. You didn’t even charge him for the repair. Kudos to all of you on your kind and professional service. Way to be an example of excellence in the automotive/tire industry. We will be back for our tire needs when the time comes.
