This place is fabulous. The work they do is amazing. When my wife was hit from behind (twice in 2 years) the collision damage to my new Ram truck was repaired without any delays.The work was perfect, as good as or better than new. I am so very disappointed and angry with LaFontaine Collision. I had an interior car fire due to a battery defect on December 20, 2019. Although we told the tow company we wanted it taken to LaFontaine Jeep in Saline it was taken to the collision center in Ypsilanti. (Although, at this point, Im not sure it would have made a difference.) The insurance company approved repairs on the 24th and we received a call from Mike on the 26th saying that they had received the go-ahead from the insurance company, the parts were on order and we were second in line for repairs and should be repaired by January 3.Since then we have received various excuses and outright lies as to why the vehicle has not been repaired. It is now January 17 and we still do not have the vehicle back. We are now being told that it will be ready on January 23, but we are not holding out much hope. I had a negative experience with LaFontaine in the past and swore I would never go back, but they had the vehicle I wanted so we went ahead and gave them another chance. The sale was very smooth; they are obviously very happy to take your money. However, when it comes to service they are proving, again, to be incompetent and dishonest.Unfortunately, trying to contact someone at the corporate level is no less frustrating, which explains the TOTAL LACK OF INTEGRITY at the lower levels. If you are considering #LaFontaine# for any sales or service I would advise you to run, not walk, in the opposite direction.

After an accident, my car was sent here because it was a preferred repair shop. The accident happened on a Thursday. I called the body shop on Monday to find out the status and was told by someone there that it was totaled and that I should contact them when I hear from my insurance agency so I can set up a time to come collect my items from the car. I heard from the insurance agency on Tuesday and called LaFontaine on Tuesday to tell them I would be there Wednesday evening to collect my items.After about an hour drive (because of traffic), I found out that my car had been given over to a 3rd party and towed about 45 minutes away from my home. I did not give permission to have the car removed. I had, according to my insurance company, until Friday to claim my items.The manager, George, who gave permission to take my car, has not expressed any regret for making this mistake.I now have to either a) drive 45 minutes to the new location of my car to get my belongings, or b) get my insurance company to tell the company who has my car to remove my belongings and mail them to me. Since this was the car my son drove, I will not know if we actually get everything that was in the car.Do not trust LaFontaine Collision. This was a huge mistake on their part and they are doing very little to make it right. All of the burden is falling on my shoulders when the mistake was clearly on their part.
I have had the unfortunate circumstances of needing their services twice. Each time, their staff has been exceptional. They are kind, professional and willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. They have continued to exceed my expectations and I am grateful for their wonderful care and attention to detail. Adam, the manager, and his staff have made the difficult process after an accident, as easy as they could. They took time to throughly answer all of my questions and explained every part of the process. If you find yourself needing collision/repair services, you won’t be unsatisfied here!
**Update**. Unfortunately, my car was hit by another driver and I was in need of a collision shop. I return to La Fontaine without hesitation and they took great care of me again.Top notch!! I will be referring LaFontaine Collision Ypsi to my friends and family. They’ve earned my business.
I went here to get a quote on a simple headlight repair and they refused to prepare an estimate until I filed a claim with my insurance. They refused to even look at the vehicle. Im not a an expert but this process seemed a little backwards to me. Overall, I was very disappointed how quickly they turned me away after I walked in the door and how rude their staff was in the little interaction we had. I brought my vehicle to another body shop on other side of town where I was treated much more respectfully and actually got a repair estimate, no questions asked! I would not recommend this place to anyone.
So far this division of LaFontaine is far superior to the service crew in Ann Arbor. The team here is kind and courteous and have followed up with what they have said to us. Will update again once their work is completed.
Please go elsewhere for service.

My husband had an accident with his pontiac solstice. Unfortunately it is 11years old already, and it was hard to get new parts, since they discontinued building it.So after 3 weeks, they finally got a new hood to replace the damaged one.All together the car was 4 weeks in the shop, but they tried to fix it as good as possible
Awesome place, amazing customer service. Had multiple problems with another local collision place (had to return my car 7 times to them) LaFontaine got me fixed up the first time and car came back better than before the accident. Couldnt recommend them enough.
