Cory did a fantastic job on my Subaru head gasket repair! He even followed up a few months after the repair to see how it was holding up. Amazing service like that is rare these days. Also the place was very busy, which is always a good sign. 11/10 would recommend!

I was first introduced to NW Import & Domestic Specialists 5-years ago when my daughters car had developed a transmission related problem. First, we took it to a different “highly rated” Vancouver shop who told us it needed a complete transmission rebuild for $3,200. A friend suggested I check out NW Import and I’m so glad I did. In two hours-time, they had found a broken electrical connection and repaired it for less than $100.We have been going there ever since with our three cars. My daughter was very impressed, because unlike so many other shops, the NW Import team never “talked down” to her or intimidated her. They spoke to her about her car in an intelligent, respectful and understandable manner. We both feel she can take her car there by herself and be treated fairly without fear of unnecessary repairs or charges.This is a quality shop with professional personnel. Prompt, complete and expert repairs are their product. The shop itself is state-of-the-art, but they manage to maintain the hometown family business feel that it has had for generations.

They have replaced a battery, done the 60,000 mi service and replaced a wheel bearing on my 2015 Outback. Every time they are excellent about informing me of alternatives and estimated cost, then perform great work, finish the work when they say and charge a fair price. I trust them to tell me the truth. Cory follows up a few days later to make sure I am happy with the work they have done. I definitely recommend these folks!

Three words describe NW Import Specialist, Honest, Competent, and Fair. The most important thing to me for a mechanic is to be honest. Corey and Julie are extremely honest. No jerking you around about unneeded repairs. Once they accidently broke an expensive part. They claimed responsibility (without me even having to ask) and repaired it for free. A mechanic friend of mine was surprised they did it, because they easily could have claimed it had just gone bad.I have worked with NW Import Specialist through 4 cars over almost 20 years. All repairs have been well done. In the rare case of a complication, they fixed is quickly. I trust their work.Best part, their prices are fair. Recently had a 60k service done on an Outback. Their price was 30% less than the dealer. Dont know if they are the cheapest in town, but given they are honest and competent I feel the price is fair.Overall, they are a great group of people who will treat you right.

Cory is great to work with. He’s been servicing my car for 4 years now. I have a Prius, so there is never any thing but routine maintenance. My boyfriend also takes his car there (another Toyota), and we are both happy customers!

Definitely have gotten to know the owners over the last year and a half by taking my 2004 infinity G 35 in for servicing. There is no doubt that this car is a performer runs hot and needs maintained. Corey recommended a bottom engine rebuild and mentioned that it would need done it seemed financials were out of the question so I waited it took two days for the car to be back in the shop not only did he know what it needed He did all that he could to get me in swiftly and do a Fantabulous job the car was making a sound after, I brought it back in and it was remedied. There is nothing I wouldn’t trust Corey with and his team I really do believe honesty is all over that shop! I tell everyone I know to take their car there!

I have taken my car into this shop a few times now, once for a coolant flush, once for an alternator replacement, and once for a coil pack. Everytime Ive gone there they were upfront with the repairs. They really helped me out when I needed the alternator replace as I was about go on a trip. All the repairs were made in a timely manner. Great service and seems like they have a great team of mechanics. I always reccomend this shop when anyone I know needs some work done.

During an unsolicited follow up text from the owner, I mentioned the problem and she said to bring it by anytime. They ended up replacing the axles under warranty and fixed a battery draw for no-charge.Five stars and two thumbs up!

Ive been waiting to write this review and the headache they caused is finally coming to an end. Its been over 7 months.They destroyed my CVT transmission in a new Subaru. How you ask? Well, I went in for a simple differential (gear oil) fluid change. It was so simple.Well a couple trips later and Im stuck on the side of I-5 for about 2 hours. My transmission had seized up because they had drained the gear oil and put gear oil into my CVT transmission. It was scary stuff. I was livid. The car didnt even have 40,000 miles on it.Had to have my car towed. Called the owner the next day and he wanted me to have them do the repairs on the transmission. (which you cant repair by the way - the whole thing has to be replaced). Hilarious to me that he thought I would ever allow them to even change a headlight bulb there again.So I got to deal with their insurance. Which was beyond annoying and frustrating. Ive spent countless hours making phone calls, visiting the dealership, emailing documents, rental cars.... you name it. Even having to talk with my insurance company.After all of this, I finally got my car back and its basically the same car as it was before.Youd think if you messed up so badly that you would insure that the person you just royally screwed over you would be thoughtful enough to be nice to them? No, every phone call was met with more rudeness. His wife called me one day in the morning and left a voicemail. That was it. No offer to help me out with the headache they caused.Get this, I had to call them back again to get them to refund me for the work they did. That was a perfect opportunity to mail me more than just a check with my name on it. For all the hours I spent dealing with this, you would think that a gift card or even an apology card would have been nice? Maybe a free car wash or an oil change? Maybe a dinner out? Nope.Even if it wasnt the owner doing repairs - he oversees the work in the shop. He also dealt with me terribly. Made me feel like crap for wanting to get my car fixed properly.The only thing I was left with was time to boil. Time to make sure that my family never goes there. All my friends. My wife and I had been taking our cars there for years. My wifes family too.You will never see my business again. If my transmission fails because of the recent repairs that had to be done because of your negligence - you will absolutely be hearing from me in court.

Brought my car here at the end of May for faulty ignition coils. They changed plugs and coils, then also diagnosed a faulty water pump and insisted I needed new tires (refused) and my transmission serviced. My husband approved the services not knowing I had just serviced my transmission WITH THEM. The bill was over $1200.First: my Camry clearly states synthetic oil only. They filled with regular oil and I had to drive right back and have them drain it. They had added Power Punch at a cost of $50 which was drained. And then charged me additional for the synthetic oil.Second: they had flushed my transmission not even 6 months previously.Third: water pump had been replaced over the winter and wasnt even a year old. I hadnt lost a drop of water and wasnt experiencing overheating issues whatsoever.Last and most disturbingly: my car started shaking and shuddering while on the freeway and the check engine light came on. Diagnositic sensor showed the exact thing they were supposed to have fixed: low coil ignition. I live 1 mile from work and havent driven even 500 miles since they fixed my car. While repairing, my mechanic discovered 2 out of the 4 spark plugs were cross threaded and EVERY SINGLE CLIP HAD BEEN BROKEN ON THE COIL HARNESS.Beyond negligent.

I wouldnt let these guys work on my lawn mower. Took it in for A/C service, they overfilled my unit until it made a clattering noise & said the compressor is bad, a real mechanic told me thats the problem was its over filled. I spent 240.00 on a new compressor for nothing! I replaced it and made a appointment to have it recharged. When I showed up they knew nothing about it! I left and told them never again & lost my coolant, had to buy new refridgerant & have it charged at jiffy lube. I think they are more qualified than these idiots. Dont go there!

While theyre nice and competent, I stopped going there for 2 main reasons - they dont seem to actually care about having/getting my business and not being open at all on the weekends. Since switching to another place, Ive realized that they are a bit overpriced.
