My car decided to act up on my way to work at 3am and shut off. Unable to move it, I was forced to have it towed. Reading all the nice reviews I chose to tow it to Hoesly. When the shop opened the employees were extremely outgoing and squeezed me into their very busy day (especially with the holiday weekend approaching). The staff started on my vehicle right away, finally got it started and did a full inspection/diagnosis of each issue. Determining that the main issue was the air filter and not being from the area, I had their mechanic replace the filter so I could take my car to a mechanic closer to home. Although the diagnosis/inspection was more thorough than anticipated, the service and professionalism by everyone at Hoesly was beyond my expectations. I would recommend Hoesly to anyone in the Vancouver area. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I am so grateful they squeezed me in, because I drive for a living and needed my car right away, plus they certainly didnt have to. Thank you Hoesly!

Truly, you get what you paid for, and cant begin to say how thankful I am to Hoesly Automotive and how great their service was.I came to get a catalytic converter shield for my Prius, but was having second thoughts. Installing one of these shields requires holes being drilled into the frame of some models to attach rivets and screws, and because this is my first car that sounded scary. But the manager, took the time to answer all my questions (there was a lot).Eventually I decided Id rather have someone I trusted install it for a little bit more money, than chance it and get it installed somewhere else.Hoesly far exceeded my expectations.I got a perfectly installed catalytic converter shield, a 3 year 36,000 Mile Free waranty (comes with all their parts and repairs), and directions to the pier to go spend the day with my friend I really care about. They also sent me a link to my inspection, which they did no charge to me. It showed that I had a huge crack going all the way down to the wires in my back left tire! When I got back to the shop the manager explained everything they found and gave really good sincere advice.With a 3 hour drive that night with heavy rains and wind scheduled, I am very thankful to have ran into a company like them. I eventually got my tires replaced at wallmart, and made it home safely.Thank you Hoesly and staff for makeing sure I got home safely, and with such a well put together car.

Disappointed to leave this review because I used to always have such good experiences with Hoesly. They have friendly staff, they provide a convenient text showing the condition of my vehicle with pictures, and offer to give you rides back, but the quality has changed.Recently I got a new car and was having an issue with the alternator but wasnt exactly sure what the issue was. I talked to Tyson on the phone and he said it costs $150 just to inspect the problem. I asked how much it would cost to replace the alternator itself and no joke, he quoted me $1,000 on the phone and said it was over $300 alone for a new alternator! A quick Google search can tell you it costs about $400 for the entire service on a Gen 1 Ford Focus. I wondered how much it would cost with a cheaper alternator and he argued with me and said it wouldnt change anything. Eventually I declined any service because it was a rip off. Thankfully they fixed it for free because it was such an easy fix, but the dishonesty in pricing and lack of transparency is frustrating.Not only that, but I took my car in for an oil change at 8am and said I needed a ride back to pick up my car. They got back to me at almost 4pm saying it was done but all their drivers left and couldnt offer me a ride. Disappointed in my last experiences and havent returned since.

Hoesly Automotive was friendly, professional, and did repairs as promised. They have this document they text/ email to you while the car is in the shop so you can see what needs attention urgently (red) and what can wait a bit (yellow) and what is no problem (green). We will definitely take our car back to Hoesly!

Went in cause my car was having trouble starting. Was told it was just the car computer not being properly attached but there were several other issues that needed fixing. I was told it should just be a little bit - 6 days later and $1680 I got my car back. That evening the car had trouble starting, AGAIN. I called and left a voicemail about it and never heard back. So yeah, not happy - expensive repairs but didn’t ACTUALLY fix the issue I came in with even after multiple days to test.UPDATE - after I wrote my review (which I did several days after I’d called) they reached out to me and got me back in and checked out. They did figure what was going on with my car and showed me how to deal with it. Everyone was very nice about it and I appreciate that. I’m still a bit skeptical at the delay and the response calling only after I posted a negative review, but I get places get busy and it seemed like they might’ve been short staffed.

Our minivan was shaking badly after a long road trip. After an alignment at another mechanic, we found out the brake rotors were warped (which was causing the shaking). Hoesly had installed new rotors only a few months before they warped. I called Hoesly and asked them to check out the brakes. They confirmed that the brakes had indeed warped and replaced the rotors at no cost to us. Biil, Tyson and the Hoesly team are honest and friendly. Highly recommended.

I will start by saying I have not actually had a car serviced here. However, I requested a quote over the phone to replace a timing belt for preventative care and they would not give me a quote because I wasnt part of the Hoesly family. I have called a other places and they were able to quote over the phone as this is a standard service. I realize they might do good work, but it screams inexperience if they arent able to quote a standard services over the phone like their competitors.

They get 1 star for how friendly they are. Very nice man at the front counter. A second star for getting me in so quick (next day). They missed out on the other 3 stars because they did not fix the two major problems (metal on metal sound from the front suspension and loose steering) and charged $750 after saying they fixed the problems. I am happy to change my review if they are willing to fix the problems they said they had fixed.

The staff were polite and professional. My car drove great after they worked on it. I would definitely go there again if I need any service done on my car.

Im surprised I got invited to do a review. Id like to give them 5 stars for Danny being an amazing person to talk to and his great customer service but unfortunately its not all about having a good personality..its about being honest and not potentially ruining someones life by overcharging them 1000s of dollars..my Ford escape had an issue with the battery and was not starting unless jumped..I took it in to leave over the 4th of July weekend and sure enough it didnt start...Tuesday morning I got a message with my inspection report and it had 6 red flags..I was called by Danny to go over the issues and go over the cost. We went over cost initially for the battery issue..it wasnt the alternator and the battery was less then a year old..he said they needed to change the battery to then run diagnostics on the vehicle to see if there was a power draw. The battery was quoted at 200 dollars,the inspection was 160 and the labor was 150..total was 650. I was alarmed at that cost as Id replaced the battery a year ago for less then 300 dollars. So I called precision auto care on 4th plain and they were also a but skeptical...Danny had also quoted me on the other issues of the vehicle. The quote was for all fluids done and the battery and wiper blades and new filter for 4600$! I immediately cancelled my services at hoesly and took it to precision auto care and gsve them hoeslys quote for the services and asked them what they would charge. I got a quote of 562 dollars....no joke! I asked if there was a mistake in that quote and Sara said nope..I asked her if maybe the struts and shocks were apart of that quote Danny had given me but my spouse remembered me asking Danny to only quote the red flags and those two items were in the yellow so Id like to think he quoted me for those in the quote even though I didnt ask for the yellow flags to be quoted...but thats just because I liked that guy a lot. He was super friendly but the quote was literally more than the worth of car and for things that I found out werent necessary at all! Precision auto did a diagnostic for free! Then told me an oil change and wiper blades is all that was needed...the batter was just loosely connected and they fixed thst for free..I will never go to hoesly again..I believe they up their cost specifically to gouge insurance companies probably to help keep them in business. Precision auto will be where I go for life!

My Subaru Forester AWD warning light turned on and the car began to drive terribly and slip on wet pavement. Normally, the car grips really well. They diagnosed and fixed the problem that day. Turns out, it was only in front wheel drive because of a fuse issue. The service was fast and the price was fair. I will definitely bring my car in for future services.

Great service on my older 1999 infiniti. I live alone and dont make much money so when I have car troubles I really get nervous. Im used to getting more of a bill than what was discussed on the phone. I was nervous to go pick up my car after they quoted me somewhere around 900$ for the repairs. To my joy when I came in it was about 60$ less than the quote so I was impressed just on that note. Customer service with Tyson was great. Always answered the phone and had great info to my questions. I left hoeslys very happy thinking I spent money in the right place. Thanks guys!

I was recently driving my BMW 328i when I suddenly lost all power to my engine, couldn’t move forward or reverse. I feared the worst (blown head gasket or cracked block) so I had my car towed to Hoesly automotive and asked them to please diagnose the issue for me. They gave me a quote for the diagnosis and had my car for the weekend, on Monday they called and said my car was ready to pick up. They had done a full inspection of the entire car, given me a detailed report with photos of every issue they found. And the best part is they completely fixed the main problem that was disabling the engine, all for the original diagnosis price. Had a flat Friday morning. Pete said to bring it on in. Within 10 mins confirmed tire was shot, needed 4 new( Subaru Outback, factory tires from 12/16 with 48k on them). Included maintenance review detailing a few items needing future attention but no rush and no pressure. Will definitely return.

I always have a great experience. The mechanics are well-trained and their equipment is up-to-date. If I want to limit the bill to a certain budget amount, they can accommodate. Nice friendly atmosphere!

No pressure maintenance items dealt with. The maintenance list along with pictures of potential items of concern is quite helpful for making decisions on what to get taken care of.There was one item that did not have any information with the picture shown in my inspection. It was referenced in my bill as an item to keep an eye on. Due to it being a tire issue, I will go to my tire vendor for any repairs needed.

Definitely the best mechanic in town! Friendly and professional. Inspection of my car was done earlier than I expected. I received a text with a link to detailed report. The report listed every problem with pictures. At the end, I got recommendation what should be worked on first.He worked on my Toyota Highlander Hybrid but I heard he gets a lot of Subarus as well.This is the mechanic we will be taking our cars to from now on 😊

We have been taking our cars to Hoesly for years. They are always so helpful and trustworthy! I recently had to take my car in for a new battery. Because of the stay at home rule I hadn’t been driving much at all, and my old battery gave up the ghost. Their price was great, the turn around time was amazing (and they were BUSY that day!), and my car had a lot of extra protections to keep everything sanitary: steering wheel cover, floor mats, etc. I know they sanitized everything too. If you need anything done on your car, these guys always go the extra mile for a great price, and are stellar members of the community as well. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Ive been taking my vehicles to Hoesly for the past eight years. These folks are absolutely the best !!! Competent and honest.....you cant ask for more in auto services. If you have a hybrid or electric vehicle, Hoesly is the go to service center. This is their specialty. Ive owned a Toyota Hybrid that Hoesly has serviced and maintained perfectly. In fact Hoesly has kept my hybrid in such excellent condition, Ive owned this vehicle twice as long as Ive ever had a vehicle. I will always be a Hoesly customer.

Hi Bill,I thank you for your service but I will not be using you again. When I first took my truck to you in October, I was quoted $2400 for the total service which I could not afford at that time, it being so close to Christmas. So I elected to have the work finished in Jan. My son Kyle recommended you so I was confident that I would not be taken advantage of.I ended up paying $3068, a little more then your first quote. Plus changing my oil was also recommended and it was just done in Oct. and I don’t feel that was necessary. It should have been in the notes on my account. Also Pete mentioned my spark plugs were changed but there is nothing about spark plugs in my print out of work done.Because I am old, a female, and know NOTHING about cars let alone trucks, I felt your company took advantage of me. So I will not be back and I hope you have a nice day.

I have been and continue to be a very happy customer. I bring in my vehicle. They figure out what is wrong with it. Then they tell me how much its going to cost me. And how much time they need to have my vehicle to do the job the right way the first time. They have bent over backwards to save me money. They are also very price competitive. Everyone has a positive can do attitude. I like them a lot. And I recommend this locally owned small business to all of my friends and co-workers.
