The exam was good. But the optition didnt bother to explain what the costs were incurred.

Do not use this business. They do not honor their warranty. Been a customer for over 20+years. My husband glasses broke and they still were under warranty. Since they changed their name to Mr eye dr. they do not carry their old frames. We have been loyal customers buying glasses every year. Went to Costco and received excellent service and prices are unbelievable. We will never come back. Very rude on the phone also.
I tried to place on the referral of a friend. Everything was great until I started to have very bad headaches. I decided to go else where six months later ....the new optometrists informed me my script was way too strong for my eyes hence the bad headaches. My vision is terrible I cant even read my phone with out my glasses. Before i went there I had no problems reading my phone without glasses. I really hope I will regain better vision. I had the wrong script for 6 months. If you are a member of costco they will do PD for free.
A regular customer, and have had no issues with the staff and doctor; everyone is courteous and professional. Also, greatsanitation doing this COVID- 19 pandemic. Was concerned, but the staff and doctor took all the necessary precautions...greatly appreciated.

Usually this place is very customer friendly but today I called and a man named Robert answered the phone, he was very rude and short and also hung the phone up on me when I questioned why he couldn’t provide me with my PD, first he lied and said the doctor doesn’t do it not knowing I’m a previous customer and has gotten it over the phone before he never said explained that the company is under new management with new policies he just hangs up the phone .. he need to be in the back where he isn’t dealing with customers. Very rude.
This team is amazing! I come here as a civilian but I am sent here as a Soldier for exams and eyeglass fittings as well. The main optometrist listens to my concerns and explains things to me in great detail; yet at a level that I can understand. My most recent visit puts him above all others because I made the appointment with less than 48 hours notice and he didnt have an opening but he called me back and let me know that he made space on the schedule. Well; I no-call no-showed for that appointment. I called late in the day to see if I could still make it in and would you believe that the optometrist stayed late to complete my visit. As I was being fitted for my frames, I was speaking with his staff about how patient the doctor was with me. I found out that he gave me the one thing that he has the least of -- his time. He works so many hours at multiple commitments and he had time off that day for the first time in quite a while. He mentioned nothing about it to me and he smiled the entire time he attended to my needs.I will always recommend him to my fellow Soldiers, my family and my friends.I wish the best to him and his awesome staff.
I had an eye exam & bought glasses there 1 year ago. Wanted to get a second pair of sun glasses. The gentleman there talked me in to getting these shades that snap on with magnets to my glasses. I do not recommend them at all! The magnet had fallen out 2 different times. Went back. Replaced with no problem. The third time of the magnet falling out they said they had to keep my glasses & it would take a week. I can’t go without my glasses that I wear everyday. I said they had replaced them before with no problem. The lady said there is no was that could have happened. I was never so upset. We have moved over 3 hours away. I was in Toledo for the weekend. Thought I could get my glasses fixed. I will never use Westgate or recommend them.
They conveniently leave off PD measurements from your prescription paperwork, disallowing you to purchase glasses elsewhere without an opticians measurement. Theyll give you the measurement--that they have already taken-- as long as you pay an extra $20. I love my eye doctor, Mr. Hohenberger, and I don’t hold him responsible for the off-putting opticians. They are hardly ever friendly and make it seem like you are inconveniencing them. I have been a customer for years and have even brought my daughter as a new customer. Im considering taking my familys business elsewhere.

Ive been going there for 10 years now and Ive never had a problem with any of the staff. Theyre always fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have always been quick to fix any issues Ive had with my glasses as well.
I went in to buy contacts and glasses. I have a free eye exam yearly and decided to try this place. I made a mistake. They treated me like trash. They kept saying this is EXTRA. You know this is EXTRa right?? I told them whatever it was is fine. They kept treating me like i was an idiot. I told them i have plenty of money and i understand. They said this no less than 5 times. The doctor gave me a 90 second eye exam and then gave me a trial pair of contacts the right one did not fit well and i told her. She acted like i was causing a problem. She got me a new right contact and the fit wasnt perfect but it was wearable. She said the prescription of contacts that she ordered me would be the exact fit. I trusted her. My mistake. My right contact is blurry and not the right prescription and now i have a years worth. Terrible Dr. terrible service. Ill never go to another “vision center”.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to get us in within a few days of calling and worked with us to figure out our insurance. When we arrived we were seen by the doctor within 10 minutes. The doctor was friendly but it did seem like we were rushed a bit since it was towards the end of the day. My only major complaint is that the kids selection for frames was very limited but the staff went out of their way to try and find more frames that may work for a smaller face and in the end were able to find an adult pair that runs small enough to fit a 9 year old. If the doctor was as friendly as the staff this place would be perfect.
Friendly staff and I was able to get an appointment the next day! Dr. H is very knowledgeable and personable. I would give them a 5 if I wasnt for the technician who wouldnt give me my PD on the glasses script.
My Husband and I have been going to this vision center for over 10 years. My daughter was having headaches so when scheduling my check up I made her an appointment also. In the past, I have purchased glasses from them but we both decided not to at this visit. When we asked for our PD (pupillary distance) and bridge information we were told that it would be an additional $25.00 even though the information was obtained while doing our checkup. I just want our recorded information. I have checked with other Eye doctors and have been told that they have no problem supplying that information but an exam would be necessary which my daughter and I have already had. I look forward to this issue being resolved. I will not be scheduling or recommending this location anymore.
Kaitlin is an exceptional receptionist who has always provided me with excellent customer service. She truly goes over and beyond to make it the best experience for every customer. She does a great job!!
9/26/18wish I could give more than 5 stars!Dr Hohenberger, Janice & All office staff are friendly, patient, kind, courteous, efficient, compassionate, understanding & accommodating.I called for left eye pain inflammation and I felt very nervous, stressed. They got me in the Next day and my experience was wonderful.Dr. Hohenberger is very knowledgeable professional and I felt instantly relieved from my pain & my stress.My family will definitely be back.Thank you all !!!!!Amy M.
I am writing after seeing all these negative reviews...Our family of five have been patients/customers here since they opened this office. all three doctors and everyone on the staff is extremely efficient and professional.Diane, the contact lens fitter, was especially helpful with our teenager, who was about to give up on contacts.We have made repeated re-visits over the years for fittings, repairs and adjustments to our eyeglasses and the staff has never made us wait long.I definitely recommend them. In fat, I am calling them right now for two of our annual appointments.
Ive been a customer of Westgate Vision Center for well over 16 years. Ill never go anywhere else. The staff is always friendly and courteous, very low pressure sales, no hassle transaction, every time I walk away happy and plan to return. Every time.

I went in to fill my prescription. I wanted to try transition lenses and I specifically said to the person selling them that I mainly wanted them for driving. She did not mention the fact they dont work while driving so I ended up with expensive glasses that dont do what I wanted them too. I asked another place and they warned me right away.

Whoever the guy receptionist is who answers the phones, is a complete jerk. Based on that first impression, along with all the negative reviews, I wouldnt recommend or use them. There are plenty of providers in the area, who are pleasant and helpful.
If I could give them no stars, I would. Ive gone here three times so far and this will be my last visit. I wait atleast 45 minutes just to be seen. Once, it was 1 hour and 7 minutes before I saw the doctor. One of the doctors were extremely rude to me because I accidentally missed one of my appointments. I absolutely hate this place.

Crappy cheap lenses and bad service. I wore my glasses for 5 weeks and they somehow got scratched and they said I had to pay to get new lenses. When I ordered, they would not give me the kind I wanted and only let me get the cheap ones that they use. Waste of money because I cannot even wear them and have to go somewhere else and get another new pair of glasses. Why would I pay to get another pair of crappy lenses that will only last a month?? My last pair is 3 years old, and I never put them in a case.... no scratches, but I also did not get them here!
Wow I was late my fault but they talked to me like Im a child. I been using them for 6 years. Im will not use them again. Racist and ignorant.
