Dr. Shaw and his staff were quick, courteous and professional. I was able to get an appointment for the next day when I accidentally broke my glasses, and was in and out with ease the day of. I felt as though Dr. Shaw addressed all of my questions and concerns regarding my vision and the contacts I was given. Overall it was a good experience and I can see better than I have in a very long time.

Dr. Shaw and Rachel are the best, better than the rest. I been going to him since he open at Walmart since I think 2012.

The staff is friendly and efficient, the selection and pricing of frames is nice, and Ive never had an issue. I even had my puppy eat my glasses, and while they dont insure the lenses, they replaced my frames, free of charge. My whole family goes there and they are all very pleased...

I’m giving one star because the staff is very nice. However, I went to a new optometrist this year and found out I have astigmatism in both eyes. I decided to compare my new prescription with my old one from Walmart Vision Center, and it turns out I have had astigmatism in my left eye for a year. But Dr. Shaw did not tell me. I had no idea. No one told me nor suggest I get new lenses. Didn’t say a thing about it. I didn’t know how to read and understand my prescription but now I do and my astigmatism has gotten worse now because I didn’t know it was there because Dr Shaw neglected to tell me. Will not be returning.

I had an eye exam and was told I was at the start of needing bifocals. I wear contacts and the Doctor gave me one regular and one bifocal contact to try (that way the eyes work together). a week later I went back and told him that I couldnt get used to them so I needed the same contacts in both eyes. The Doctor told me that he would write down both prescriptions and if I needed to go back to regular lenses then I would just need to wear reader glasses when needed. I have tried to go to theWal-Mart in Holland which is closer to me and they told me I had to go back to the store I originally was at so them called the central store to get an order of the regular lenses and was told I had to come in. When I went in the Doctor was on vacation and without him changing it in the file I couldnt get any. So then after another trip to the store I had just missed the Doctor and so then tried calling today to be told that the eye doctor I saw no longer is there and he unfortunately did not put any notes in my file so I would have to pay for another exam. How is this my fault that the doctor didnt do his job and how should I have to pay for another exam? They have lost my business from now on and I will tell everyone I know. Terrible customer service!

The doctor was very friendly and the exam (actually, the whole process) was really quick. The optical technician who helped me was very informative and the prices were great! I have terrible vision with an astigmatism, so my lenses are usually very expensive, but the price was pretty reasonable, and many of the $9 frames were insanely cute (thats what I ended up going with!)... BUT when I went to pick up my glasses, I couldnt see out of them and they insisted I was crazy and that I wear them for 24 hours. 24 hours and a HUGE migraine later, turns out they didnt set the lenses right. My glasses were my bday present, and now I wont even have them to show off on my birthday. Severely disappointed. Isnt the customer always right?

The optometrist here essentially forced me to try two brands of lenses that I hadnt used before. Ive been using Acuvue 2 for a decade and they have never given me an issue. The new lenses were very uncomfortable - I could not make it through a week wearing them. He wrote the prescription for them anyway. I paid for them, but ultimately I never bothered picking them up. Waste of $100 for the exam and ~$40 for the contacts. I tried calling them to issue a refund or write the script for the Acuvue 2s, but they never followed up, and I didnt feel like dealing with them anymore. Moral of the story, just tell the guy what you want and if he says otherwise, you should just cut your losses and leave.

Dont bother. Your just a number here. They only want your money. Took me multiple visits until they finally got my eye glass prescription right. The employees were kind but the Dr doesnt care. Youre just a number to him. Wish Id have never gone there.
