The guy who went over the estimate with me said my transmission was going out and that my car wouldnt make it from Temple TX to Oklahoma City because the needed repairs were so extensive. The car drove 5 hours without a problem after zero repairs and a $100 labor charge. I kept asking what diagnostic tests were done to indicate that the transmission needed repair and he gave me vague, not even qualitative answers, just telling me that my car was basically inoperable. Was the fluid examined? Was the color off? Why wasnt I shown anything? I asked if my car was test drove and I got the feeling that the man was lying me. My questions were dismissed, I was presented with no evidence or substantiation as to why the transmission needed to be replaced. It would have been better if I spoke to a mechanic or someone who actually looked at my car. I felt like this guy was lying to me, telling me I needed $5K in repairs if I wanted to get home. I felt like he was taking advantage of the fact that I was a single woman traveling alone. The repairs felt pushed with no justification and the repair suggestion was presented from an individual who had no idea what was actually done to my car.
Had a great experience with salesman Frank Kalista!! He is a all around team player and had no problem helping me and my dad. He answered all of our questions and took time to fully explain things to us. He was the best salesman I encountered on Saturday when I was making my rounds at multiple dealerships. He got me a solid deal on my trade in and was patient through my indecisiveness. Would recommend him to any of my friends or family!! I love my new car, thank you Frank!

I moved here from KY where I used to get my oil changed at a Nissan there. Oil changes were less than 40 dollars for my Nissan sentra. It was only more if added things like rotations. I come here and they charge 75 dollars because they automatically add tire rotation, even though, I requested not to get it done. They said they did not do it but still charged for it, even when asked if they charged they said no, though it is clearly on the reciept. They also tried to tell me I have to get them rotated everytime when everywhere else tells me every other oil change.
The sales representative that was assigned to help me was just wonderful. He explained things out to me that was so easy to understand.He work with me and helped me leave with exactly what I wanted. I had a great experience and when the time comes again I‘ll be back again.
My wife and I visited Garlyn Shelton Nissan to look at a vehicle for her, however ended up purchasing a Nissan Titan with four-wheel-drive for me. Our salesman was Frank Kalista who basically worked out a deal that I just couldn’t say no to. I have dealt with more than 50 car sales people in my life, and Frank is definitely in the top three. He will do everything in his power to get the best deal possible for the customer. He is very knowledgeable about the vehicles as well as all of the possible financial details for buying and leasing. Everybody that I worked with demonstrated excellent customer service. Brandon, the manager was very knowledgeable and helpful, as well as easy to talk to.

Taylor in the service department went above and beyond today to assist my husband and I. We got a flat and needed a run flat replacement. Nissan was unable to help but Taylor called thier sister dealership, BMW, and they had a replacement tire for us. So thankful for the honest and superb service!!!

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I found the car I wanted on the internet and printed a confirmation showing the total price of the car, including tax title and license. Met with Vincent Tolbert, salesman, and looked the car over and informed him I was ready to buy. Went over the details with Landon Slaughter, general sales manager. Let him know I was ready to buy, if we could expedite the deal. He filled out the proper paperwork and had the deal finalized in less than 10 minutes. I then met with Michael Henderson, finance manager. I signed all the paperwork to purchase the car. Total time there, from start to finish,was under one hour!! I told him I would be back to pick up the car later that afternoon. Went back a few hours later and picked the car up. Walked in, they gave me the keys and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. Best car buying experience I have ever had, and I have bought a lot of cars over the last 45 years.
The whole facility was awesome. My salesperson Vince Tolbert really went out of his way to find me the right truck. The finance department bent over backwards to get me a great rate and meet the payment they promised.

If I could give 0 I would. Typical bait and switch dealership. Called ahead to make sure the truck in question was available. Gave them both the VIN number & stock number.Said it was available, drove just over 100 miles to buy the truck. Called the morning of when I was on the way ahead of time to confirm it was still available and was told it is. Got there and the truck was sold last night. Later I was told the truck sold about an hour ago, and once more to less than an hour ago.The sales manager is a dirt bag and the rest of the sales floor plays the same typical tricks the dealership I used to work at play. “Oh who did you speak with?” Because no matter the name you give them they will tell you that person doesn’t work there and it’s part of an external team. Very typical practice to get people through the door.Don’t waste your time with this establishment.
The service technician and female at front desk that wrote up the work order were very nice. Im upset that the heated seats feel more like seat warmers and only go up to a high of 80 degrees per the service tech. You can feel the heat for about the first 3 minutes and after that it doesnt feel like anything or that its even turned on. Im comparing the amount of heat to other vehicles that Ive owned and to my VW that I currently own that goes up to about 110 degrees. The service tech explained to me that the heated seats meet specs. I wish I wouldve tested them out prior to purchasing but didnt think necessary at the time since it was a new vehicle. I have 2 replacement hips and need the heat and would not have purchased this vehicle had I known they were actually SEAT WARMERS. I know that Garlyn Shelton Nissan doesnt manufacture the vehicle but should maybe advise customers to test that out prior to buying.

Lack of communication amongst team as well as a sense of carelessness in ensuring all paperwork/vehicle service is completed correctly even when informed of incorrect figures on paperwork. When they finally came back and acknowledged the error, I recommended they eat the loss as I mentioned it several times before but they asured it didnt matter and paperwork was correct. The response I got was, we cant do that.. Then when trying to contact, it is nearly impossible. Seemed to have always just stepped out of office or at a staff meeting. Total disappointment. Recommend going elsewhere.

Ok. $240 in labor to replace fuel filters is ridiculous. Service manager did well explaining the situation. I do not like the up selling part of this process.

Overall experience at Garlyn Shelton Nissan, Temple was excellent. The wait time for pickup of new Nissan Sentra SV was too long. Hence, I only awarded met my expectations for the sales experience. The finance/document representative was outstanding and explained everything to my wife and me. Again, overall experience EXCELLENT!

I went to Garlyn Shelton Nissan looking for a car after my vehicle got totaled for the 2nd time in a time frame of 4 months. To say I was stressed was an understatement. However, after meeting with Frank Kalista, my stress ceased. With every car we viewed, Frank made sure he went through all the features that came with the vehicle; something most salesmen don’t do. Frank really made me feel like he was determined to find the best for me. After looking at the cars I said I was interested in, I was worried I was not going to get into a car that day Iike I wanted. Not because of Frank, but because what I thought I wanted really wasnt what I wanted. I was almost out of hope. However, Frank went above and beyond to find me the vehicle that best fit me. He really was the silver highlight in this car hunting nightmare. He’s a great salesman and I had the best experience with him and would recommend him 100 times!

I was dealing with another rep from a different part of Garlyn Shelton but then one day Alison from the Nissan store called my father asking if he wanted to see the truck but my father wasnt sure why he was receiving this call and gave me the number. I called and talked with Alison and told her that I was interested in buying a truck but at that time it was a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 but no banks wanted to approve me and if they did they wanted 6k down. I thought that was it and I wasnt going to get a truck but then she called me back and told me that I wouldnt be able to get the Ram but instead was offered a new 2021 Nissan Titan. I pinched, slapped and punched myself cause it must be a dream but in fact it wasnt. Alison, the GM and the financial rep went above and beyond my expectations and I still sometimes thing I am dreaming cause there is a new truck in my driveway. I cannot thank Garlyn Shelton Nissan enough and you all will forever be in my thoughts and gracious praise for everything youve done for me and my family.

Went for an oil change, they took me to work. Shuttle lady is super nice. They picked me up at noon but when I got there my car wasnt even ready. Sat there forever & was running out of time (1 hr lunch break) and turns out my car had been done for some time, but instead of bringing to me they put my key in a box on the counter and no one knew it. I would have sat there for God knows how long if I hadnt spoken up. They didnt even realize that I was still there! If I didnt have a prepaid service contract I wouldnt take my car there.

Everyone that handled our case that day was AMAZING. This was our first time purchasing a vehicle without family having to co-sign for us. We were scared and nervous but needed a reliable vehicle for our 11 month old. I was surprised to find out that I had a service plan, my service technician took the extra time to find my service plan and explain what it covered. This was probably the easiest car experience I have ever had. First of all my salesman, Steve Hinds, could not have been more accomodating. I had a broken foot and could not even get out of my trade-in. My fiance had to do the majority of the check over. Steve could not have been more hospitable. Then, Michael Henderson the Business Manager along with the Finance Manager worked extremely hard to get my payment where I needed it which was not an easy task. If you think it cant be done, give these guys a chance.
