Definitely would not recommend Joe Cooper Ford of Shawnee. My son purchased a 2017 truck and first time on the highway his entire wheel and tire fell off, causing other damage to the truck. We had to tow it back home. Then they supposedly fixed it and that same day we took it to get it checked to make sure all was good. The alignment was still off and so we had to pay for an alignment. Then my son was in Norman the next day and the tire sensor was showing a default and the entire truck was shaking. Talked to the manger Brian who sent me to Chance McCoy about what to do and if needed to be towed back. So it needed to be towed back and now they are refusing to call me back and pay for the tow bill or the alignment. I have spoken with Brian who tells me Paul the service manager will call me back and yet to have received a call back from him and Brian also stated that Patrick Venable the GM would call me back and I still have not received that call either. It’s been over 2 weeks since I was told that. Called last Saturday and they said I would receive a call back that day and didn’t. Called Brian Wednesday of this week and he said I would be a call back Thursday and still have not. Juan Martinez in the service department told me he would pay for the alignment and tow bill minus some mileage.

Wasn’t the best deal I’ve ever scored but I understand the inventory issues going on right now and I was in a hurry to get back into a truck and felt like it was fair. Tara was our auto dealer who tried her best to give us facts of Odyssey we were interested in. Tara gave us plenty of financing options. After, test drive we noticed some mechanical issues that needed to be fixed before considering financing. Tara’s manager offered a diagnostic test, and it turns out the vehicle had more problems. We appreciate the honesty to not go forward with the sale.

Tara was very friendly, polite, patient and professional. She helped us throughout the process with no BS or games. When the shop failed to clean the car before we took it home, Tara took it on herself to clean it up as best as she could.This brings me to the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars; I’ve never purchased from a dealer before that didn’t detail the car while we were doing the paperwork, and the car was quite dirty from sitting outside on the lot.Otherwise this was a very good experience, we love the car and believe we got a great price!

I can’t say I have ever enjoyed buying a car at a dealership. In this time of little inventory and paying MSRP because if you haggle the price someone else will purchase the vehicle later that day. With that all said my experience with Joe Cooper Ford of Shawnee was excellent. Started with a phone call and ended with a purchased Expedition about 8 hours later and I live about 2 hours away. Did I get the best deal of a lifetime probably not. But the customer experience and service was top notch. Received multiple texts and emails after purchase to see if I was in need of anything, I did not. I forgot a personal item in my trade in and they mailed it me the day I called and I got it with in 48hrs. All in all the best dealership I have been to be honest. I enjoy new cars and don’t mind paying steep depreciation to have them. So with that said I have been to more than a few dealerships over the past 15 years and purchased over 8 cars. Well worth the drive from Tulsa or OKC metro.

WARNING: Bait and switch. If my review was based solely on the help and interaction with Cody I would be raving about how wonderful our experience was. But when it came to finalize we were shocked that the car price had jumped $3000 above both the sticker and quoted internet price which we received that day. Had we known this price would change we would have never made the trip to Shawnee. Think well stick with Cooper in Edmond.

Long story short . I went online looking for a truck in Oklahoma because trucks in Kansas are way more expensive than most places (I live in Kansas) . I saw a 2009 Chevy truck that I wanted pretty badly, so I contacted Joe Cooper dealership and asked about it and my trade in . They went right to work, come to find out the banks didn’t want to loan money on a truck with high mileage like that . So I just gave up because I couldn’t afford a newer truck. Mr. Bishob from the Chevy side called me and told me to let him do some work, for three days he texted me and called me and not just about getting a truck . He would text asking how me and my family were doing and him and I became friends. After it was all said and done he got me way more money for my trade I. Than any other dealership would have!!!! To top it off he got me into a newer Ford truck with very low miles . This man isn’t just blowing smoke, he is one of the good ones !!!! I can tell you honestly that, he WILL DROP EVERYTHING to help someone out !!! I’m glad I went there, not only did I get a truck I never thought I’d be able to get but I made a friend . So if you’re reading this just give them a call ask for Mr.Bishob or even Blain because those guys are golden and down to earth men that will definitely help you out without any of the sale men BS.

After verifying the sale price with our salesman, we drove an hour last weekend to purchase a new truck that was advertised for a specific price on the website and on the window sticker, once there we were told that even though the vehicle had a specific advertised price, that was not what they were going to honor, they upped the price price by $5000– seems like FALSE ADVERTISING…. We left there, drove to a different truck lot where they honored the price that Joe Coooer Shawnee wouldn’t, bought a nicer truck at a lower price! Beware before you buy here, they are not honoring what they advertise!

Great place to do business. I am actually a dealer in Louisiana and was looking for a suburban for my wife. They posted one for sale and I sent a message to them. Most dealerships blow us off when they find out it’s another dealer. These guys did not. Process was easy and professional. I paid the price they were asking and figured it would just come to me dirty and not serviced. Well IT WAS PERFECT! Vehicle was clean, serviced and full of fuel when it was delivered to Louisiana. If you are in OK or wherever I highly recommend this dealership.

Not a terrible experience...I ended up leaving with a car I really like. Lynse was very helpful. My only negative thoughts...the first 2 cars I drove were really dirty and smelled horrible. She explained that some cars are only spot cleaned. I probably would have bought the second car I drove if it hadnt been so disgusting. Second, after the sale was completed I followed Lynse to the gas station for a free tank of gas (thanks for that). While there, I noticed one windshield wiper blade was missing (yes, I know I should have checked those...just forgot). I expected her to offer for me to drive back to the dealership to have it replaced. Instead, she said there was an auto parts store nearby (lucky me!). I ended up just getting one and putting it on myself. Again, I got a nice car, but those few things kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

I bought a 2011 Ford escape it was used for 5445.00. Everything upfront as is on the 17th. The next day Sunday the brakes started sticking I had to miss work to go back up there Monday morning. Morgan told me they would look at it for 178.00 after I paid the whole price for it. I left found out there was a crack on the brake caliper replaced it myself. I cant fully blame Morgan the sales guy. This is probably a service thing. But in the end he sold me an unsafe vehicle, with a flat spare, after I told him I drive 170 miles to work every week. just for the record Morgan is the guy in the picture up there

The only downside is that I was continuously offered a vehicle outside my budget that I did not want at all, despite saying several times that I do not want that vehicle. Service mechanic is just about worthless. Third time I have had my truck here for service. They have messed it up all three times. First time they broke windshield wiper and bent the arm. didnt reset oil reminder or place updated sticker in window.second time came in for recall and replaced rear camera, which now doesnt zoom in and the centering lines are gone.third time did service the didnt put the glove box together completely when changing cabin filter . Did oil change and fuel filter changes and a tire balance which they did the second time because they were wrong and now my ac isnt working because of the service they have done and broke windshield wiper agin ..iam still in waiting room going on 4 and a half hours.

Broke down Saturday 17th. Finally today 22nd, my truck was ready. Left shop after 6:30pm. Customer service ok. BUT now Im 96 miles away and stuck on side of road as of 8:30pm. Part that was fixed wasnt done right. DPF filter removed, cleaned and put back. Now Ive got an exhaust leak that left me stranded. Welding not done right. Not my fault and someone needs to get a wrecker and tow it back. Am i supposed to sleep in my truck? No more $$$ out my pocket. Just dont have it. Called service guy that had help me all week. Gave me # for towing but nobody answered and I dont have the $$ to pay.

Kept my car for 2 days. I asked for a loaner car.. They just ignored that request. I had to borrow and beg rides.They said they drove it and couldnt find the problem. Odometer only had 0.4 miles on it more than when I left it there.How can u diagnose a car without doing anything.Now, they say my car has to leave me stranded on side of the road again for them to know anything.

I have bought from Joe Cooper in the past, but probably never again. I took my car in for repairs over a year ago. I had had surgery just a couple of weeks prior so did not attempt to move the 4 weighted blankets from the back of the car. When I was called a week later to pick my car up, all 4 blankets were gone. Since they were presents for my kids, I replaced them. I was told to provide receipts for original costs and the replacement cost, which I did. I never received any reimbursement for any of them. They told Me I would be hearing from them, that NEVER happened. Funny too that two weeks later when I returned, the mechanic and the supervisor were no longer working there. Kind of fishy. I admit I should have removed the blankets. However I can post No Trespassing all over my property, but that does not remove my liability if someone gets hurt on my land. That 200$ reimbursement was worth this post and loosing my business and that of friends and family? I doubt it was worth it!

We waited inside the building a few minutes before anyone came out to greet us. A young saleswoman met us and asked us what we were looking for. She took notes and then went back to see what she could find. She worked very hard trying to find what we wanted or something similar. She did find something that we were seriously considering but wanted a little more time to think about it so told her we would contact her in 2 days. She said the manager would like to greet us so she went back to the office area. She returned, looking somewhere embarrassed, to tell us he wanted her to tell us thanks. Well, I guess if the store manager cant bother stepping to the door of his office cubicle and greeting us or thanking us for stopping in, he doesnt really want to sell vehicles very bad. So we left, went down the road to Dodge dealer, and bought a truck. The 4 stars were for the saleswoman.

Daughter-in-law just purchased a used car in cash and the very next day started having issues. The salesman did not disclose this car having anything wrong with it besides the awd button being stuck. The car dies in the middle of her driving it. She has had it looked at 4 times by mechanics. Has had several sensors and things replaced and the issue is just getting worse. It’s now having to be taken to yet another mechanic. An 18 year old kid paid $6500 for a car that cannot be used and is out hundred more and still can’t drive it. I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership!!

The salesman Blaine was very helpful and flexible. He didn’t try to put us into something new and he stayed focused on the particular vehicle we had went to see. He made us feel comfortable and not rushed. Matt in the finance department was great as well, he didn’t stress at all about us not having cash on hand even though it was a cash deal. The banks were closed and we couldn’t get the full amount so he took lower than partial payment and let us take the vehicle home trusting he would have rest of payment Monday. I would shop there again!

IWent in for airbag recall, my bug guard was broken couldnt get over 50 mph without it flapping . Also I had a perfect dash no cracks when I noticed the crack I called and the mechanic said it was already broke, that was a lie then the service mgr said they werent responsible anyway ! I was pretty defeated feeling when we came to joe cooper Ford cause other car lots kept not listening and trying to put me in something that was way out of my price range. But Tara my car salesperson really listened to what I was saying and she got me into a car that I am really happy with and it met all my needs.

I had an issue with my DEF system. on my 15 Ford F450....I made an appointment the next day. Upon my arrival to drop off my truck I was greeted by a very friendly, knowledgeable Service Advisot named Robert Tibbs. I explained to him I had a 5th wheel, was from out of town..So getting fixed quickly was of upmost importance. Robert stayed in touch with me, keeping me informed about the progress of my truck. He then told me it would be ready the day after I dropped it off..and it was. In the future I will drive an extra 30 miles to get my truck serviced at Joe Cooper Ford. Robert by far made my experience with Joe Cooper Ford in Shawnee the best visit Ive had to any dealership in my life. He kept me informed, was very knowledgeable about my truck, and Im sure went above and beyond gettig it serviced quickly because of the situation I was in..Thanks again and much appreciation Robert for your help!

I bought my 2016 Ford Fusion here brand new. Then we came back and bought another brand new car less than 6 months later. Thats about as far as the good experience goes. The maintenance department has repeatedly been substantially less than stellar. The last visit to this dealer was because my car was making noises so I took it to my personal mechanic who said it was an emissions problem and to take it to the dealer because it would be covered under the emissions warranty. I took it in and they told me it was the fuel filler neck and line and it was not covered. So I took it back to my personal mechanic and, within the space of 5 minutes he told me they had completely misdiagnosed it. So i called the dealer back and told them about this. Left the manager a message and then spoke to the guy that id seen previously who told me well we dont cover that part under the emissions warranty either. It was a fuel sensor. I never got a call back from that manager. Its been a month. In short, we have had nothing but problem after problem with these cars, and the maintenance crew just doesnt care. I feel like they completely dropped the ball here. Instead of this place, I HIGHLY recommend Pro Express for autocare. Herman and Bill really know what theyre doing and will fix the problem for half the cost and they dont charge a fee to diagnose it.

We should have known not to come back to joe cooper. Weve had another car that had an issue. But wanted to give them another try. Well we decide to drive to shawnee because thats where we found a vehicle we liked. So we made the 45 min drive once we found out the vehicle was still there and available. Once we got there someone had just bought the vehicle. Ok, fine, whatever so we are asked what are you looking for? We told them we have a family of 6 plus each kid has friends. We would like a tahoe like suv to fit our family in. And we LOVED the idea of staying at the 9,000$ mark since this is our 2nd car we dont want anything crazy expensive. Well they come out with a 2017 escape for about 5000$ more than I was asking the price to be. Then Im told.I cannot finance a 10,000$ car because its a liability. Back the escape, I mean its nice and all bit definitely not what I was looking for. We was there for 3 hours I kept walking out because I didnt want it, they kept making the deal better and better. OK great will take the car. Itll be a nice car for my daughter in a couple months when she turns 16. OK well 7 days after buying it it seems like the transmission is jumping day 9 the service engine light comes on and it takes a couple times to start. When we test drive the car the salesman said do you like it? Is there any lights on the dash? Weird but again whatever. We havent had this car but almost a week and already issues. So when we ask about taking it into service told its going to be 100$ .... Whatever. Well we get to service and now we are told 200$ what the actual.... What? Seriously with all the car dealerships out there, trust me, find any other one to go to. Almost the same exact issue with our first car we got through them.All Im saying is read the reviews and read the reviews on the BBB site.I really hope they take care of us with this car being in service. We did get someone else to look at it and a diagnostic test ran as well so will see whats said is wrong.

Bought a car for my daughter at Joe Cooper Ford on 9/10/12. They worked hard and succeeded at getting financing that fit a payment we could afford. Salesman Talon, came in on his day off to show us cars he had communicated about with my daughter the previous day. We then checked other lots just to be sure. We returned to Joe Cooper and salesman Bryce finished up our transaction. We were never pressured. Treated with respect by all involved. Will do business there in the future.
