The facility and the service is excellent. Its clean, well lit, secure, and right in the heart of Ballard. The continuity of having the same manager, Kirk, for the past 4 years is reassuring. Hes extremely helpful, knows what hes doing, a pleasure to work with.

The facility on Leary Way in Ballard was always clean, spotless. The staff was always polite and helpful. There were always carts available for moving my stuff and I appreciated the security of the building. The facility I was using before moving to CubeSmart was scary and dirty. Im glad I found CubeSmart!

I found myself in a situation where I needed to be out of one apartment immediately, before I’d even considered a new place. I was able to quickly secure a storage unit and received simple, but thorough welcome instructions. The facility is clean, well lit, my interactions with staff were pleasant, and I was able to access my unit at reasonable hours of the day. It was such a relief to have this space available while I figured out my next move.

Very nice front desk man. I was having a rough time after a difficult break up and he was super cool about the fact that we were a couple minutes late leaving after 7pm when they close. Very clean facility. My unit was nice and well lit.

I have been keeping my small camper there for the past few months. What I have found is that the facilities are very clean, have easy access and the people there are super helpful. Would recommend it to anyone!

Kirk is a friendly and amazing manager, super helpful, even remembered my name for a previous rental there. We switched back to CubeSmart from another storage company and the difference is obvious.

Wouldnt recommend using this service due to the fact that they wont pro-rate anything past 6 days. Therefore I paid almost $400 for 1 week of storage. Not the employees fault there but just the overall company policies. Bad way to treat a customer of 4 years.

I never thought Id ever say I love my storage place, but I absolutely do! From signing up to moving my things in; this was the most seamless, easy transaction. The facility is fantastic! Easy in and out, as well as enough carts for ease of moving stuff from your car to your unit or vice versa.Clean, and enclosed, this facility is in a great location, with easy access. They also offer a mail and package service which is extremely helpful with ensuring your packages are safe from porch pirates as well as a common location to receive things when youre in-between addresses and dont want to have a disruption in service.Pricing is extremely reasonable for all the amenities and peace of mind that your things are very well secured, safe, and protected from the inclement weather.

Ive had a storage unit here for a while.This is one of thee best places Ive ever had storage at. Period. Its very modern and clean, the guys working here are very helpful and nice. Very clean facility, well-lit, organized (e.g. every cart has a number taped on it; the garage and elevator code is my phone number; red tape on the lock shows you have checked on my storage locker). The facility is easy to access, convenient and secure. Friendly competent, consistent staff. The move-in truck is an added bonus. Not more expensive than other storage spaces and way better in every way. Great value.

This was the best storage facility Ive ever rented from, and sets a new standard for renting in the future. The staff were friendly and professional, the facility was well-lit, clean, and easy to access. I had no idea how much Id appreciate the drive-in setup, but that was a huge plus. I will absolutely be renting from CubeSmart if I need a storage unit in the future.

Had my items in storage for a month before the place got broken into. Thankfully, nothing was taken but the door to my unit was smashed in from the attempt. Did not feel like proper safety measures were in place, and the break in was not uncovered until 2 full days AFTER it occurred. Moved to another unit in town which had a more cameras and a better security system.

I really lime this place! Its easy to get into and out of. Environment controlled and no hassle also the level of security and floor planing is second too none.

The facility is spotless. From the moment I made my reservation online, every communication with the manager was professional, proactive, and personable. Were in the middle of a pandemic, and the safety requirements onsite made me feel safe. I was super impressed with the manager Kirks willingness to spend plenty of time going over space and location options with me while also being super friendly and incredibly thorough. I immediately told multiple friends about my experience (and one of them quickly rented an adjacent unit).

The facility was clean, the carts are in good order. On the few occasions I interacted with the staff, they were helpful and friendly. Just a no-nonsense, straight-up safe place to store your stuff. Love it!

When this first opened I was very happy with my experience. Since then they continue to raise the rates of my small unit and have cut back substantially on the hours with no notice. I have moved my storage to another nearby facility where the hours are more accessible. I now have twice the space at 1/2 the price.

Great experience. Called up the service number, reserved a unit, was able to move in the following morning. Storage space is secure and clean. Dollys available for moving boxes to the unit. I like the fact that the garage requires a keypad to entry, and there is a second keypad to move the elevator too.

The staff was totally awesome! Made us feel very welcomed to the neighborhood. Also the lead manager looks like jack white or Elvis. Definitely light hearted employees!

It is a very clean and well-lit facility, the team in the office is always cheery and positive, the access to the facility and units is straightforward and well secured with punch codes. The units are clean and well maintained and easy accessible.

Super fast sign up and sign out. We just needed the storage for a week but was to find and reserve a spot easily through their online system. The actual storage unit are super clean and easy to get to. I love the climate control though its pretty chilly already when we needed to use the storage unit. Its nice to know that the place has A/C. Its super well maintained that its actually the preferred bottle storage spot for a few local breweries. You can drive in some trunks inside the building but our movers truck was too high. The dock was still pretty convenient for the movers and they were able to get everything out under 2 hours. Highly recommend!

Like most people who have reviewed after being here for 6mo have said, these folks jack up the rent after 6 months, and online rates are about 40% from where theyll be. Absolutely no transparency over this process.Aside from the bait and switching regarding rates, the facility is nice and never have had a problem with the staff. Only downsides are that equipment repairs can take months (main entry gate was once broken for 3+ mo).

This was my first experience with a self storage company and have to say that the bar has been set really, really high if I ever use one again. The entire staff was amazing to work with, the facility itself was clean and easy to navigate, and my overall experience was fantastic. We used CubeSmart while we were moving houses, and it was a tremendous help as we worked getting our stuff out of the old place but before our new home was ready. I especially want to thank Kirk, Alisha and Bryce for always providing me with excellent service. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs this kind of storage.

Terrific staff that went out of their way to be of assistance on a regular basis.You can drive right into the storage area to load and unload in the rain without getting wet.I love Bolt Modern Storage!!

Ease of access, communication and security/cleanliness of site.

I LOVE this storage facility. Its clean, they have moving truck or van you can reserve for a refundable deposit. Alisha and Bryce were amazing and honest and easy to work with. The ceiling is an actual ceiling and not chicken wire like a lot of the facilities we toured. I just wish it was open earlier and closed later.

Absolutely no complaints about this place. Decent prices, safe place. I had a payment issue when exiting my unit which they totally took care of. Good peeps.

After I reserved a unit online, I got a prompt and friendly call from an employee who walked me through the process and answered my questions. I had been certain that the free move-in truck was a gimmick and wouldnt pan out, but I was able to reserve a truck for our move-in date no problem. When we arrived on our move-in date, we were helped by Alisha, who was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and kind.Everything was exactly as had been described over the phone, and Alisha offered to show us the storage unit before we finalized things. It was as expected -- clean and empy -- and it was sure nice to see that and find our way to the unit before starting to move things in.Alisha was still on shift when we came back with a full truck a few hours later, and she was pleasant and friendly and even helped entertain our son while we were unloading the truck. I couldnt be more impressed with the level of service we received!

I just finished renting a storage unit at Bolt Storage in Ballard, also known as CubeSmart I think. Or at least they manage it. My wife and I moved to a condo a couple years back and we had our storage unit for the last two years as we slowly made our way through things we didnt need any longer. Maybe not the cheapest storage facility around but certainly the best. Access is easy, nice indoor parking area and the building/units are CLEAN! We didnt need to use it but I think they offer free use of a truck when you rent. Great staff who are always responsive if you have any questions. Highly recommended.

Very secure, great location, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I put everything I owned in BOLT Modern Storage before moving to West Virginia for six months with AmeriCorps and I havent spent a day worrying about it. Now that Im moving to Virginia, the staff provided excellent customer service in providing information on moving out. I recommend them to all my friends and would use their services again in a heartbeat. Thank you, BOLT staff!

The prices for storage were comparable to many other places and a little less expensive, the site is clean, and security is top notch. You can only get in when the office is open, so theres no chance of anybody getting into your storage locker without being noticed because there are alarms on every door. the staff is polite and very helpful.

This review is specifically for Bryce. I don’t like being stressed out, and typically live life stress free. However, this last move almost broke me 2 different times. Bryce could see it in my eyes, and did every single thing in his power to make things easier for me. Gave recommendations that would work and made sense as opposed to just being worried about a sale. He made sure I was happy. Thanks Bryce! You’re the man!

Bolt storage on Leary was convenient, really clean, and hands off. I felt like I was in control of my own unit and was able to place my own security on the door. We just closed our account after 1.5 years because it served its purpose and allow me to move on. Thank you!

Very safe and secure place to store your belongings. The staff there provide exceptional customer service. Building is kept very clean. They let you use their cargo van for free. Ive stored my stuff at many different facilities and this one is the best.

My wife and I rented a storage unit at the Ballard location of Bolt Modern Storage for just over a year. During that time we had our unit broken into and our property stolen numerous times. Among the things stolen were my wifes wedding dress, my mothers ashes, inventory for our business, and many other personal possessions. Bolt was of little help when it came to helping us resolve these issues. Im confident in saying that our family will NOT be using BOLT Modern Storage for any of our future storage needs.

Ok the staff there was very nice and helpful. The storage units and facility was clean as well. But upon moving out I found they dont have a dumpster available to customers. I feel for the price of the units here we should at least be able to throw away small items. I only had a shoebox full of stuff I had to throw away and they wouldnt even open the dumpster they did have for me.

Storage facilities are intrinsically the same. Your staff is not; they are extraordinary !!!!!Thank you for everything.

The place is clean, the staff are friendly & helpful, but You should expect for your monthly rent to increase significantly & continuously after about six months. Wouldn’t do it again. Moving my stuff out this month.

Beware of the bait and switch scam. I reserved a unit online for the stated price of $150/mos with 50% off the first month. When I signed the lease in the Ballard office the salesman said that I had to pay the second month in advance BEFORE I could get the first month at 50%. The email I received said nothing about this and I checked the email three times for a disclaimer. Then, after he charges me for $226 for the first two months, he prints out a sheet showing that the price of my unit will increase to $179 after the second month. ?? I called him out and said that this should have been disclosedBEFORE he asked me to sign the Lease, and he needs to either honor the rate that I had in writing per the email or refund my money. He got nervous and said sure, Ill just tell my kids that their dad is going to lose his job tomorrow. I kid you not!! The guy was trying to make me feel guilty about his scheme to raise my monthly payment after just two months into the lease! He said that the rate I received in my reservation email was the Push Rate. In other words, its the rate to get you in the door and sign a lease. After that they try to screw you. Dont let these guys pull this on you. I was floored by how unprofessional this company is. The building is brand new and looks nice inside, but the same scoundrels are still running the show. If this is the crap they pull when I first walk in the door, I cant wait to see what else they have up their sleeves. I would pass on this joke of a company and save yourself the trouble. Its the closest place to my local, so Ill deal with them until they try to raise my rate again. 😡
