I have only tried the breakfast taco so keep that in mind.I was meeting some friends that were interested in lining up for a coffee you know where and I decided to come here instead as I, unlike them, didn’t have breakfast.I have to admit I am surprised. It’s a very small operation with a limited menu but what they do they do really well. Saw a couple of bad reviews focused on what they are not - not sure that’s fair.I sure hope this place is super successful. Great location and I for one appreciate what they are trying to do.My breakfast taco was really good and, quite massive. I ordered two and one would have been more than enough but not going to lie, glad I did so I could try both red and green sauces. It’s a 4/5 for me only because when it comes to Mexican food, my mom spoiled me and this is not up there with mom quality but it’s certainly good. And super good value for your money too. Great!
I got the most delicious burrito here. The rice, beans, guacamole, and salsa were fresh and homemade. About the same size as a Chipotle burrito, but way better. The price was also unbeatable. If I lived in Seattle, I would eat here all the time. I cant adequately describe how amazing the salsa is, you just have to try it.
Get pass the line for the first Starbucks to get to this delightful shop. The chicken, beef tamales were very savory. The corn flavor can be really tasted and are mild in spice. Theres a combo option for rice, beans, tortilla chips and salsa. Beans are thicker and mashed like and pair very well with the chips. The gordita is also a good option, fragrant cheese on top of tomatoes and beans, all over a fluffy flat bread. All the food was super filling and freshly warm. Definitely must try!
Forget Starbucks come here instead. The store has everything you need for being so small. The lady in charge was such a wonderful person. The conchas were very soft, sweet, warm and delicious.
Grest place for Latino food, made the drive for some conchas (Mexican sweet bread) and its by far the best in seattle.
Amazing tamales, great price, and great music.
Amazing tamales (and rice/beans), great price, and dope music.
Home made foods. Good food. Friendly staff. Clean Store. Quick place to shop at.
Small shop with great tamales and other Mexican food. No long lines, reasonable prices, and good service.I recommend this place!
Love their tamales and salads here. I used to come here to pick up quality tortillas and lunch here. Plus the owners are sweet!
Sadness as the grocery has been gentrfied..gone are the shelves of dry goods..now tables and chairs in the window..the meat counter with goods displayed also gone along with the cash table at the door..I asked for chorizo...the counter girl didnt know? She asked and a guy said yes..it is frozen!!! What!!! Who uses frozen chorizo!!! Another market landmark gentrified for the tourist trade...
Delicious food, but there can be kind of a wait while they make your tacos and burritos
Really great tamales at a screaming good deal. 3 tamale combo with rice, beans, chips and salsa for $8?! Oh my. My new go to lunch spot.
Love this little spot for an amazing burrito and break from the crowds. the chorizo breakfast burrito is prime! big, filling, tasty and cheap! it was only 4 bucks! The store is such a haven away from the hustle and bustle of the market and Starbucks next door. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by a lady that made me feel like i was walking into my mothers kitchen. This is my go to spot for breakfast or lunch in the pike place market area as a local. im glad all the tourists are in line for starbucks next door and not my favorite burrito shop!
Absolutely adore Mexican Grocery, their product, and the staff! Can’t recommend their burritos and nachos enough.
Good food & good people
Never a wait. Good prepared food at a good price.
Great, hard to find ingredients. Try their super nachos.
