One of my favorite stores. They have many goods, wines, and fresh produce that are very inexpensive. This is a great place to get your clean and healthy eating ingredients. This location is always busy, but you never stand in line for long. Staff are friendly and know their store well. Highly recommended!

The staff truly makes the difference. There are a couple of people there that have been there for 20 years. I always love shopping there. Produce, poultry and meat are always top-notch and the deli counter is a well-oiled machine. The wine and spirits section is always manned by a knowledgeable and attentive staff member. Its one of the reasons why I love living in West Seattle. The only problem is, Ive never gotten out of the place for under $150.

This market is the just the best in the area. Superior quality of goods, very well organized, clean and fairly priced. I absolutely love their deli, the soups, the bakery, EVERYTHING.Beautiful flower section, great variety. The kitchen/ household goods are super nice. And just for the record. I just went to the PCC nearby and in my opinion the Met market has equal or better quality and I find it to be less expensive.Happy shopping everyone!

I love this store. I always enjoy shopping here but today I had the loveliest experience. I stopped to get a gift for a friend and also bought a gift bag. After completing my transaction, Terry asked if I would like her to set up the gift bag for me. She washed the glasses, chose pretty tissue paper, and set up the gift bag for me. It was SO nice! Also, looked alot better than if I had done it, lol. The store is extraordinary, and so are the people.

Usually could not be more pleased with the staff plus the store always has such great items in their deli. Today, however, was not the exceptional experience I normally have. I checked out and then decided to buy a small floral arrangement for a gift. The floral counter was closed so I went back into the store to make my purchase. I was then asked if the purchases I was carrying, in a Met Market paper bag, were made there and asked for a receipt. 9 times out of 10 I dont take a receipt luckily I did today. I was then told it was not directed at me....well, whether or not it was the intent it sure felt very uncomfortable. I have been shopping there well before it was Met Market (over 30 years) but it will be a while before I go back. Not a good feeling.

Huge shift in local product focus to becoming a mini clone store touting its own label like Kroger & Safeway. I used to shop Market 3× a week. Since the Korean investment company bought it out & many other boutique markets, its sterile. All my favorite speciality, organic & food exploring is gone. The produce is no longer the tasty jewels. 😥 the marketplace & boutique experience GONE

This is an excellent place to dine with a large group and everybody can find something to their liking. Chinese, seafood, Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, and many other cuisines are available. It was quite busy, but we had no trouble finding a table, despite the fact that some of the vendor lines were very long due to the fact that it was a Saturday night. Food was delicious, and the experience was enjoyable!

Met Market is the top notch swankety swank grocery on Seattles West side. Super hot case, deli, desert counter, amazing service! Dont fret Safeway is across the street if you need the cheap stuff. Mets produce is the best anywhere. Many of the cars in the parking lot are expensive so be careful with your cart and mindful of door dings. The cornerstone of the Admiral market. Get a bite here and see a movie at the Admiral Theater. This store is chock full of the good stuff.

Okay in a previous review of the junction Safeway I proclaimed it to be my preferred West Seattle grocery store and it is. I do most of my shopping there however I went to the Metropolitan Market tonight and remembered why I love it. I used to shop here frequently but havent been here since before the pandemic began. Its further from home in an area that is a little less convenient and much more expensive. Since I have a limited income and dont own a car I dont make it here often but highly recommend you check it out if you have never been here. An amazing microbrew selection, delicious and diverse food from the deli and tonight I tried my first cookie. OMG! A Chocolate chip gooey piece of perfection that will leave you in a state of sugar coma bliss. I dont want to think about how many calories it was but I really dont care. I will be back for another sometime soon. Customer service was great, lines were short and while it may not be the West Seattle grocery store I normally shop at I now remember why Metropolitan Market is the best grocery store in West Seattle.

We dont call it metropolitan markup for no reason but that being said I like the place. It has a wide variety of stuff that your average safeway doesnt carry. I will say that the inconsiderate people are exactly the same no matter what store you go to except here they smell better.

Quite a bit more expensive than average, but a careful shopper can shop here without going too crazy.Or, you can go hog wild and pay through the nose for some rather gourmet items. The neighborhoods this chain occupies are generally fairly upscale. This is gonna be a weird review because I wanna give a shout out to a different business first. Flower Lab was able to fill my order within a couple hours of placing it but because of my poor planning, that was not going to work. So huge shout out to them for being speedy and amazing. Now to get to the review of MetMarket and their flower shop, Rachel was able to fill my order within minutes. I’d say twenty of them. It looked amazing. I was able to put it in the fridge to set while we ran another couple errands and everything went perfectly. This was a last minute wedding corsage I got for my step mother, I found out the morning of that she got a corsage for my mother and mother in law and I didnt want her to feel left out. Thanks again! This is a great high-end grocery store that will break the bank in a hurry. They have well-vetted products, and a solid selection of prepared food that will make even the laziest healthy Millennial happy. I recommend their Turmeric Califlower from the deli, as well as their Sliced Turkey by the pound (back by the prepared foods, not the sandwich meat station). Their Poke Bar is expensive, and fresh - and their shelved Sushi options are always right-after-made, and offer a Brown Rice alternative as well. This place gets 5 Stars, but know that youre going walking into spending some cheese.

I just called to ask if they had halvah because my mother was in the store looking for it and was unable to find anyone who knew where it was. I was switched around and put on hold three times, and in the amount of time it took for the person on the other line to tell me that not only do they not have it, and no one in grocery could help me because they were too busy, I had driven to the store and found the item myself. I provided better customer service than they did and I dont even work there.

Great selection of fresh produce, meats and baked goods as well as wine and cheese. We always enjoy their sushi as well. This isnt a criticism, but rather an observation. Ive eaten Poke in Hawaii and it usually isnt as salty as it is here. Ive had it a few times at the Metropolitan Market, but can only eat a very small amount (probably a good thing) at a time because its overwhelmingly salty. Perhaps this is normal and if so, its still good. All in all, this is a great market and we always enjoy shopping here. Forgot to mention the deli section. Its Excellent!

Good layout of the store. Produce generally fresh and items are priced well against the competition (i.e. QFC, PCC). Cashiers, stock personnel, and floor managers are generally pretty decent. I do not like the people who clean the carts because they do it too quickly and half-way. One guy in particular with white hair and glasses -- is super sloppy and refuses now three times to respond to my greetings. Also, if you are going to build a shields, you should encase the cashiers on three sides not one, they and the store patrons are still susceptible to viral exchange. Also, the baggers do a decent job, but some of them are rude and selective in who they greet.

$15 Pint of Fruit ContainersFirst, the good: Metropolitan Market has a great production kitchen, a nice sweets section, theyre 24 hours, and the fried chicken isnt absurdly expensive (its hard to find passable grocery store fried chicken). The employers have mostly been great. They have a huge cheese selection, a decent meat department, and probably most things youd need, aside from ethnic foods ingredients (miserable selection for cooking ingredients outside of American dishes). But $15 for a prepared pint of fruit? Imagine going to Safeway and paying $15 for half of a pineapple, and a handful of berries. Because thats what youre doing, really.Imagine, now, how much seafood costs. Or anything else.If Whole Foods is Whole Paycheck, then Metropolitan Market is Refinance Your Mortgage. Conventional produce here costs as much as organic at the big chains unless its on sale.Completely and utterly ridiculous with their prices. Occasionally, a sale brings some items to more reasonable levels; but the basics are almost always laughably expensive. If you have a money printer in your basement, I suppose Metropolitan Market is the best grocer in the area. I prefer Trader Joes, QFC, and Town and Country Markets, personally.

Prices are much higher than PCC and Whole Foods and the employees aren’t friendly at all, I really don’t see the point. Besides MM has tons of non organic products mixed into the bunch, I think their having an identity crisis as a company. Such a great place, and Definitely serving up the BEST Chai Tea Lattes in all of Seattle, especially West Seattle. Options include spicy, vanilla, and sugar free. I usually mix the spicy and sugar free with a milk alternative. It is served Perfect every time. I used to enjoy Uptown Espresso, but Fonte purchased them, cut hours, and started using a Masalla Chai with Turmeric which is orange and awful. PCC has a coffee stand, but you have to wait in line to order it, wait for it to be made, then wait in another long line to pay for it separately -- and it was awful. Have also tried every other coffee shop in West Seattle (several times), many of which use liquid chai mix. Met Market does not use liquid chai. No one else compares. It is also a Great place for individual desserts, poke bar, hot food bar, salad bar, sushi, pizza, meats, cheeses, soups, and I especially like their fish counter (they are always Super helpful) and their Cioppino to go.
