Delicious and smooth coffee served with great latte art, significantly better than your average coffee shop. Service was friendly too Im not a fan of the interior style that has a lounge or diner vibe, but sitting outside was great, the street is pretty quiet and I did some reading after my morning latte. They also have some baked goods (some are from sea wolf!).
Full transparency; make our own coffee at home 340+ days a year.Bearing that to mind I do treat myself and this coffee house was quite a treat indeed. The expresso, just kidding!! The espresso was fantastic and without even asking they asked if Id like some tonic water, which I happily said yes to. As many of you know, having a shot or two of espresso is always a highlighted moment when one takes a few sips, then takes a few sips of the tonic water. They really know what they are doing and it shows. The location is awesome, I went to shop at REI for some camping gear and then hit this place up for two shots of espresso and a plant based treat. I bought some gift cards for some amazing people I have had the pleasure of working with since living in Seattle. They asked me to walk over to a different register so I could purchase them without waiting in line for espresso. They are extremely attentive and have exceptional anticipatory skills. This is what I observed on my handful of visits.
Obsessed with this place. First had it 3 or 4 years ago and became instantly hooked to their Nico drinks, which is vanilla, orange, and espresso. When it’s warm out, I love the espresso soda. When it’s cool out, I love the cafe nico! Pastries are also always good.
Cafe Nico is probably the best coffee Ive ever had. Im someone who hates bitter + burnt tasting espresso. But espresso vivace had the best ever espresso Ive had. Absolutely smooth, good crema on the top. No bitter or burnt after tastes. Theyve raised my expectation from other coffee places in the area.
Some of the best coffee in Seattle! Can’t go wrong with espresso, mocha, latte, or whatever it is you like to drink. Drinks here are very consistent and I’ve never been disappointed. I always come here before or after trips to the REI Flagship store.
When I lived in Seattle, Vivace was my favorite coffee. The place that taught me what good coffee was supposed to taste like. I rarely get back to town, but when I do, I make it a priority to stop by and have an espresso drink. This time, I ordered a Nico, and found my way to an outside table — theres still no indoor seating as we emerge from pandemic days. I cant over-stress how much I enjoyed this little cup of coffee. Id forgotten just how good it tastes. It was delicious. I exclaimed over it. I even tried to get my non-coffee-drinking husband to sample it. He wouldnt — his loss! Its literally the best coffee I have ever had. Smooth, balanced, perfectly roasted and aromatic and wonderful, prepared by highly skilled baristas. It deserves ten stars. Go here.
Best espresso in the world. Hands down. I have their decaf espresso shipped to me every month and its so worth it. Best part of my day.
I like to order an espresso whenever I try a place for the first time. They did not disappoint. Good lounge vibe as well.
Great coffee and customer service. I love the way how they handle the pandemic.
Cute place, loved the squash bread!!! ice caffe caramel also great. friendly staff and nice vibes
The barista at Espresso Vivace is very friendly and helpful. Thank you!
A relaxing calm place where I was able to sit down and enjoy my coffee and a cookie. The decor is what you would expect and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was even posters on the wall showing you different activities they had in the area. Very pleased and will go back again the next time I am in town.
Shout out to Teal and the rest of the staff here for hooking it up with the best customer service!!!!! They really go above and beyond for the customers. Also - the Nico drink - amazing!!! Highly recommend.Everyone is always super cheery and down to have a conversation with you when you come in. This is my favorite coffee shop and their beans are out of this world.I have visited other coffee shops here in Seattle, but this is my main joint because its so good.
Straightforward, friendly, efficient coffee shop. my pet peeve is coffee shops that dont open early enough when im traveling- this one does! they pull a good shot, and their covid modifications dont detract from their good service. thank you all!
Great service and the coffee is amazing. Only downside is they dont accept cash.
Macchiato was delish, cold brew was okay. Vibes were excellent.
Great coffee, lovely seating area, very friendly staff.
This was my go-to coffee shop for two years straight. It’s also the place I got dumped for the first time.A wonderful shop to work on homework or break up with someone, accompanied with a robust selection of delicious espresso and tea drinks. It’s busy on the weekends, but what coffee shop on cap hill isn’t?
Excellent baristas, excellent coffee, excellent croissant. Restrooms and wifi available for customers + they let me charge my laptop by running the cable through the window from the socket inside which was awesome.
Love their coffee. They were out of almond milk in the morning so I tried a hemp milk latte for the first time, and I have to say I kinda liked it! Love the mocha as well.
I highly recommend having the Nico, at least once in a lifetime 😜
Awesome coffee drinks. Love their roasted beans. Good as a gift
Staff was a bit rude and rushed me from counter as I doctored my coffee with sugar.
The staff is always freindly. Drinks are well made. They have in my opinion the best mocha drinks around. Not too much chocolate, not too hot, and real chocolate and not a strange powdered mix. The cakes and cookies are a but expensive but very good. You can only get drinks to go for now but they do have outside seating until the weather turns cold.
Its my home away frome jome. Good times and coffe and all they need now is a snobbish big cup of coffee to last the day.
Some of the better espresso in the city. The heart and sole the former owner David Schomer put into getting a consistent and delicious ristretto shot still comes through with every pull. They have been at the foundation of Seattles espresso scene and still remain a very good place to get shot or two.
Good coffee, Seattle vibe. one of the best.
Visited here in February 2020, I was vacationing in Seattle seeing friends and this lovely cafe is next to their apartment building. I was here every morning of my trip. The cold brew is excellent and the pastries were wonderful!! I live in Florida and would love to have coffee shops like this here!
Love the coffee atmospher
Love coming here for their incredibly tasty coffee that is not only delicious but flavorful! The staff here is always welcoming and friendly. Plenty of seating in this huge cafe and street parking is available along with an REI parking garage right across from the street that validates for free 1-2hrs I believe.
Some of the best espresso in Seattle. The Vita beans are amazing for making lattes at home!
My husband and I visit Vivace almost every weekend usually enjoying two rounds of espresso before while we share The New York Times. Im particularly fond of their macchiato (a real treat for the most devoted coffee connoisseur - its perfection) and Café Nico which is a beautiful blend of espresso, milk, cinnamon and citrus zest! The vibe is very relaxed and laid back and the staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
Great EspressoFriendly workersRelaxing area outsideto drink my drinkand just chill. Thanks guys forgreat service. It really startedmy day off right.
Good coffee and I absolutely LOVE that this place is open late. Seattle has so few late night coffee shops, I am so thankful that I found a new place to go burn the midnight oil to work. It’s not too crowded, lots of outlets this place is everything you would want in a coffee shop. Also have good coffee shop music... all wins 5 stars.
Seattle is best known for its coffee but Ive always felt a bit disappointed in the scene. Vivace is definitely one of the good ones along with slate! My go to if I want to show visitors. I really enjoy the caffe nico here. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Seating is plentiful during the weekends - maybe not during afternoons though.
Really nice place. Limited seating outside but with the windows open there is a nice cool breeze on these hot summer days. B I like the expresso.
One of my favorite places to visit when i want some me time. Before quarantine time they had nice ambience with great coffee collection
AMAZING!! I love this place. You have to try the cafe Nico. Such a great unexpected blend of orange, cinnamon, smooth espresso, and milk. 😍😍😍 I also got their straight shots of espresso and was equally amazed. Best of all it was not overly priced. The customer service was great (greeted with nothing but smiles) and I got recommended all kinds of drinks. Will definitely return :)
Very friendly, great line control for social distancing. A few outside seats to enjoy your coffee at before moving on. Great coffee, too.
Great quality coffee, always fresh and delicious. The snacks are also very tasty and the prices are fair. The staff is friendly and the service is quick.
Amazing coffee, ambience and baristas!! :)
Regular iced latte was so good! Cold brew wasn’t our favorite though.Update: definitely get something with espresso, iced latte with honey is so good.
This coffee shop has great coffee and great service....... 👍😷
I ♥️ this place. Its super chill, and they have delicious bakery items. The real draw is the coffee though. Its the bomb! An Americano is like $3.50, and you cant beat that(for the quality). On Sundays they do a special single origin blend that rotates for the same price. The normal blend is amazing, but the single origin is next level. Cheers......
Awesome espressobar with the best italian style coffee in Seattle! The houseblend „Vita“ is traditionally dark roasted and has a very rich caramell and chocolate flavour. David Schomer, the owner, is a barista legend. He mainly invented latte art. Besides good coffee you get a lot of nice little delights. The staff is fast, kind, and helpful. For all coffee lovers and Seattle visitors: it‘s a must to come here at least once!!!
Friendly staff and good joe.
They make their own in house white sauce. The ambiance is what struck my eye. Husband treated date night tonight. I had a 3shot white velvet and husband got a mocha late tasted delicious
