Needed to find a place to wax to use here and there. Decided to try out this place.Booking is easy. You can do it online or call.When walking in, it does feel sterile but clean for sure. Each time you visit, you have to fill out paperwork that you are not sick. Staff is very friendly.But they do push for their packages and bundle deals.Next up you are taken into a room, not much to it but it is clean. The wax they use is specific to EWC. It is not as painful as some that I have had. I have gone twice and both times they literally are done in 15 min. No more. The reason I mention this is because I have been waxing for years and never in those years have I felt rushed out in 15 min.Huge patches are left + Long hairs are left = HUGE waste of money and time.This place is more concerned about quantity than quality. Most places will take tweezers to make sure everything is clean where they waxed. This place will maybe pull one hair and say you are good. Wrong, not all hairs come out. The last time I went, was the most hair I have had left after a waxing.I dont plan on coming back as I prefer quality and have someone spend a little more time on me than to be rushed out.The reason for 2 stars and not 1 is the staff and cleanliness.

Friendly staff and great at communication. My treatment was cancelled because of my skin sensitivity, but the staff was great throughout the process.

I got a Brazilian wax from Alexis here and it went great. I was nervous to get a full Brazilian, but it was not very painful. She was super efficient and professional. I will definitely be coming back!

Staff is super nice! They are friendly and make great conversation. BUT, I’ve had the WORST eyebrow waxing experience ever here. I have naturally thick eyebrows and asked for a cleanup. I came out with VERY thin brows. They looked like two sperms on my face. I have two lines for a brow. NOT what I asked, definitely WAY over waxed, and I cried in the parking lot for thirty minutes after. My phone does not even recognize my face anymore through face recognition. Just SUPER pricey for the quality you receive. Back home, I get my eyebrows waxed at a Supercuts and the ladies do a MUCH better job then what was done during my service here. Maybe I just had a ‘once in a blue moon’ bad experience, but I needed to share. Would recommend exploring other options because your eyebrows are definitely an important facial feature!

My eyebrows looked nice enough after and the wax the use is super nice feeling but the lady who did my brows insulted me multiple times during my visit and was not Professional, even to the point of calling me DIRTY, she also spoke badly about other customers (multiple) to me while I was there which makes me feel like she would have no problem speaking about me that way to the next person. I was wearing clean clothes Was NOT dirty and I’m a mom🤷🏻‍♀️. It was my first time there and I still gave her a tip since the first time is complimentary but I’d never pay the price the charge for just brows alone with insults included.

Went in for quick eyebrow wax, first time. Staff was great I even forgot my sunglasses. They called and left a voicmeial. When I came back my $200 sunglasses were gone, so they grew legs? Manager said she was sorry but didnt help at all. As a new customer its hard to reconcile.

I went to the SLO spot by Ross. This was my first time here and the ladies at the front desk were very sweet and as a first time costumer I was able to have my eyebrows done for free and a discount on a full bikini 👙 wax. Alexis was great kind, friendly and professional. Definitely will be coming back to SLO. Thank you gals so much.

DON’T GO THERE! NO PROFESSIONALISM! SO RIDICULOUS! Saturday afternoon I’ve been there at 4:35 it says it’s closed at 6pm on the site AND ON THEIR DOOR! The woman at the front said everybody is leaving at 5pm.Probably because it’s a Saturday night and they wants to leave early because it was empty!Such a shame!!!

The woman who did my eyebrows was really nice and lovely but I asked to just shape them and she made them really thin. I dont think Im coming back here.

I drove 30 mins and they did not get me in.

Both times I have been there have been awesome. They kept good communication with me about my appt. Staff is pleasant and friendly.

Old review that I posted on Yelp 7 months ago, but saw people are using google reviews:I am so disappointed with the European wax center. They claim to be the least painful wax. I used to get sugared very often, every three to four weeks, when I lived in the bay. But after moving to slo, I had to find a new waxing artist. I read the reviews about the European wax center and how its the least painful, even compared to sugaring. So I tried it. Those reviews and claims? Wrong! I decided to not wax for a while.More recent, I wanted to wax again and I scheduled my appointment online. The next day I received a call saying that I had to reschedule because the online system messed up and double scheduled the appointment time I booked for. I reacted like a horrible customer and yelled at them. I stated that they shouldnt be advertising online booking if it doesnt even work. They tried to reschedule me but I was too mad to even go. I ended up apologizing because it wasnt their fault the website doesnt work properly but instead the poor engineers behind the website.I just booked again yesterday, thinking I will call this time so my appointment wouldnt get messed up. I scheduled it for 5:30pm because I had plans for later in the day for dinner with a friend. I arrive at 5:30 and they say I was actually scheduled for 6!? I told them no I was scheduled for 5:30 and even called again to see if I could book earlier (left a message and they didnt pick up). The lady said they will try to get me in by 5:45. So I just stuck around. I was seen by 5:42 and the lady that helped me seemed pretty rude. But I didnt let that bother me. I tried to make friendly conversation. She was having a hard time waxing some areas. When she was waxing, she wasnt letting the wax cool enough, so it was coming apart when she pulled it (that was SOOOO painful). Then on top of that, because she wasnt allowing it to cool long enough, she missed a lot of hairs. So she went over the same area over 3 times minimum!!!! My mom and sister are both cosmetologists.... and they both tell me that when I wax my own face I shouldnt wax over 2 times max. I look at the area today and there are so many red bumps still. My area is painful to the touch. I do not recommend going to the SLO European wax center. The girl did not deserve my tip. She rushed everything and should get sued. I hope I dont get an infection from her over exfoliating my skin.

I love that I never have to shave. Also, my legs aren’t prickly a few days after like like shaving!! My skin is exfoliated and always silky smooth. I do a lot services in my apt... eyebrows, lip, armpits, lower legs, and Brazilian. I buy my wax passes when they have the semi annual sale. This is my 3rd year going and I haven’t ever had a bad waxer.Fawn is amazing and my favorite!! Fawn is fast and efficient; which is exactly what I want in a brazilian wax! At the Arroyo Grande location, Brittany is excellent. Brittany is also a speed waxer and I drove all the way to AG until I found Fawn in slo.If you have low pain tolerance like me, take a little bit of Tylenol or Ibuprofen before your appointment to be %100 pain free!!

The first time I went there and had been months of me having my underarms waxed the girl was super nice and I explained why my underarms were so out ground and she was so awesome. I have a new official waxing place to go to thank you European Wax Center
