Just because you cant afford to shop here, doesnt mean you should rate this store poorly. Its like having the budget for a used Honda Civic, going to the Maserati dealership, and then complaining that everything is too expensive.The experience we had was great. Kelly, our sales associate, showed us a couple of options (that didnt work) and then let us run loose. She was available whenever we needed help again.This store is HUGE, with tons to offer. Yes, this store is VERY pricy, but when I say there is a lot to look at, I mean it, and it could be worth it to look around on your own. My S/O and I were shocked to find something in our budget. I joked with him that we probably found the cheapest couch they carried (which was still around $1800 with taxes). Its stylish and exceptional quality.If youre not willing to spend around $2k at minimum, youre welcome to go to Mega Furniture and buy a $600 couch that will fall apart within a year or two.

Horrible customer service. We made our furniture purchase with salesperson Eva Heinrich and sad to say the experience has been less than desired. My wife and I considered asking for a different Sales person but decided to stay with her. Bad idea. When you see that she doesn’t know her product and looks confused when writing up the order that was an indication that it would be an overall bad experience. Nearly seven months later we have not received our furniture and it’s been a month past the delivery date. They can’t even call to tell you that they can’t make the delivery and when you ask they have no idea when delivery will take place. Naturally we’re upset and when inquiring on status over the phone she would rather hang up. Unbelievable! Stowers Furniture needs to do a better job of training their employees. If I conducted business like this I would starve.

Loved everything about this store...the staff, the selection, the ability to customize. It can be a little overwhelming at first with all the options, but Don (Lehr) was a lifesaver. If you want quality pieces and great selection, shop here. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want.

I have often bought furniture from big box stores, but wanted to purchase something locally from a family owned business and am disappointed that I chose Stowers. This company does not stand behind their products. They are in for the sale and after they achieve that goal, the relationship is over. I purchased an expensive sofa from Stowers in Jan. 2020. It is a beautiful, modern sofa by McCreary Modern. Buttons are on both the seat and back cushions. Within only one month of owning the sofa, the fabric on the face of the buttons on the seat cushions began separating to reveal sporadic silver uncovered buttons throughout the sofa. I immediately thought that this would be an ongoing problem and was right; it’s still happening. About once a month, another button comes off one of the seat cushions. I contacted the store several times, spoke to Tina, and even expressed interest in trading the sofa in for a different one at the very early onset of this issue. I said that I didn’t want a sofa that had continuous buttons popping off throughout the lifetime of the sofa. Tina insisted that my problem wasn’t the store’s problem and for me to contact Guardsman, so that is what I did. I filed the first claim with Guardsman in March 2020, and a repair person from the store came out and replaced all of the damaged buttons within a few months. He said that he would order 30 additional buttons from the manufacturer, so they would be on hand to repair as needed. He also said that if the problem continued to occur that they might consider replacing the seat cushions with buttonless cushions. I liked that idea. After the first repair, more buttons separated as expected, so I contacted the store and spoke to Tina again. I told her that more buttons were separating and explained that buttons were set aside for me for future use. Tina told me that she didn’t know anything about any buttons. She reminded me that the store was removed from the situation and instructed me to contact Guardsman. I filed a second claim with Guardsman in November 2020, and it took two months for the claim to process and a new repair person to come out in January 2021. The new repair person was from a third party repair shop. He contacted Guardsman and requested the ordering of 12 additional buttons. It is now March 2021, one year post the first claim, and still no buttons. I contacted Guardsman and they said that the button shipment was delayed because they were waiting on a document from Stowers, but that I should expect the shipment sometime in April 2021. I briefly discussed the situation with the Guardsman rep and they concurred that since this was a repetitive issue that it is a manufacturers defect, and claims should not be processed going forward. I contacted Stowers the same day to speak to a manager, and spoke to a person named Charlotte. She was very kind on the phone, said that she hated to learn that I was having such a bad experience, took down my contact information, and ensured me that a manager would be contacting me. Fast forward three days, and I have yet to hear from anyone from Stowers; they clearly do not care. Throughout this process, I have never asked for a refund, nor have I been rude to anyone at Stowers. On the contrary, I have been kind, communicative, and compliant, and it has gotten me nowhere. I am sick over this! I spent $5000 on a defective sofa, and no one wants to take responsibility for it. This is not an issue of fabric being damaged by the consumer; this is a defective merchandise issue. While I can afford to shop at this store, there is no way that I would ever purchase from this company again. Do not purchase from this store! It may be tempting, but you will be disappointed and will be wasting your money.

Went into the store and was greeted rudely by Mary Lott. Very unprofessional and quickly to express that she has been doing this for 16 years. Save your money and purchase elsewhere. I ended up going to Mega Furniture in Live Oak and was very very happy. The sales associates and manager are very professional and caring. Not to mention the office staff were very helpful

There funny. The front window has several signs stating reducing prices. They have sky high prices. We bought a sofa across the street at Dillards at about halve the price very similar quality and style.Our sales lady said she was their decorator at Stowers. I felt like she was talking down to my wife and myself. She was telling us what we want and what we didnt want. My wife and I know what we want to buy, with our money.

This is the place to purchase old world quality furniture. From contemporary, mid-century modern, western and elegant Stowers has it on hand or on order as well as the design team to bring it all together for you. Our designer, Don Lehr, evaluated our space and really brought it together. Our living room has gone from a pass through to now, the center of attention.

I called about ordering several display cabinets and gave them the information on the pieces I wished to purchase. The items were sold about 500.00 dollars cheaper at Star furniture. They offered to price match and I wanted to support local businesses so I drove in from New Braunfels to purchase the items. Even after two separate phone calls and proof that Star had the exact items cheaper, they refused to honor their word and price match. I even showed them several other retailer had the exact same items at lower prices and they refused to sell me the cabinets at the agreed upon price. Very disappointed that they wasted my time. I ordered the cabinets online before I left their store. The other company was happy to take my 5,000 dollars!

This place is just so aesthetically pleasing. If I could just buy all their furniture and keep the store as my home I would. They have an elevator! I really love their indoor pond fountain thing. Theres just so much inspiration in this place, and it gives me #InteriorDesignGoals !

Enormous. So enormous. Its like theres no way to tell how huge this place is from the outside. They bend time and space to bring you the best selection of leather furniture you will find. Lots of other stuff, too, but if you are shopping for leather in San Antonio, this is a must-see.

About half of what we ordered was good & half was damaged. They gave us an immediate credit for the damaged goods for which we refused delivery.On the other hand, a special ordered item hasn’t come in in the time frame promised. I’ve called and called and they say they will call me back with information.Overall, I don’t think I’ll shop there again.

I havent purchased anything from them yet, which is too bad for them because I was doing a complete remodel. I sent in an inquiry thru their website on several pieces of furniture wanting more information on those pieces. I never received a response from them. I called a little over a week later to inquire about the email and several more pieces I found on their website. The sales women acted very condescending and said she would call me back. It has now been over 5 hours and I havent heard back from her. Very poor customer service in my opinion and I will move on to another furniture company.

Over the last year we have purchased several items from Stowers and have been very happy until the last purchase. 2 weeks ago we purchased several items and all went well until we noticed one of the items (chair) had an issue with the cushion. We called back to let them know and to see what could be done about returning the item. We were told to email pictures to Mrs. Rios and that she would give us a call. To this day we haven’t received a call yet from Stowers, I have called and left messages but no call back. BAD AFTER THE SALE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Stowers has some of the most AMAZING furniture, ever. Yes, some items can give you sticker shock, but they have great sales. We just purchased a sectional sofa. You wont find anything like it at discount stores, especially the customization and quality. We got a great deal, and they did negotiate with us on price. $11,000 is a bit much for a sofa, but go see the $16,000 (sale price) Marge Carson sectional sofa at John William Interiors. Its all relative... If you want cheap, go to Rooms to Go, Ashley Furniture, etc. You get what you pay for...

Nice furniture. Nice sales lady from Ireland. Hugeeee facility. I was lost in that place. Doesn’t look that big from the outside but it is massive. This stuff is fancy, but not my kind of fancy. And priceyyyy.Many of the couches we didn’t find comfy, but that’s personal preference.

I came here one day looking for a last minute gift for the mother of my then girlfriend. it was her birthday and up until the day of I didnt have the expendable cash to really buy anything prior to that. So I rolled the dice and was hoping I could find something that she might like and will fit her very specific Palm and Fern interior decorating motif. After about an hour and a half of getting lost (Willingly). I found a nice ceramic palm leaf centerpiece or table accent. It was right within my price range leaving money to spare for our evening late at Kona across the street in the North Star Mall. This store came in clutch like the third pedal and gave me a gift I couldnt have found anywhere else on time time crush I had. And the customer service beyond any realistic expectation. This is a great store with great pieces.
