After moving into a new modern style home, I knew I’d need help decorating and furnishing. After shopping around, we could tell No other stores compared to Ethan Allen style and quality. Marnie came out to our house, took measurements, and created a beautiful design for our home. The EA experience has been incredible, from first impression walking in (not being followed around and harassed) all the way to Marnie coming out for delivery. We can’t wait to continue decorating and working with EA and Marnie in the future :)

I wasnt aware they only do custom furniture when I walked in. I told them Im looking for a square or rectangular dining table and all the lady did was take me to the back to look at a binder for the price. She pointed in a general direction and said they came in either maple or something other kind of wood. Definitely did not seem like they want my business at all. I guess Ill spend my money elsewhere.

Ethan Allen isn’t what it used to be. I went back in 2020 to furnish my formal living room after a great experience in 2016; however, this time the design was incomplete and not what i wanted when I received my items. I did receive my items months later. Communication was not great with the designer. They didn’t come to my house like the prior time to set up my furniture when it was delivered. I had to return my leather couch because it was made poorly(a lot of wrinkles in the leather). They don’t let your return anything if it just doesn’t have the look expected. It’s common to return and try different options when furnishing a room. Just super disappointed. Won’t go back.

Marianne provided excellent service to correct a problem I had with a carpet I purchased through Ethan Allen, but it wasn’t their brand. I’m very pleased with the process and highly recommend their products. I purchased a sectional and console table that I can’t brag enough about!

The gallery is beautiful! Had someone help to find what you night buy. Alot of furniture and accessories...need to take time to enjoy all in store.

Ethan Allen is giving my living room a makeover. The furniture is slowly coming in with all the COViD delays but its exciting to see the transformation. The delivery guys are always so professional, courteous and careful when brining in the furniture. Its always carefully wrapped and never a ding or scratch. My designer always follows up on each delivery day with a personal text to make sure the delivery went well and Im happy with how the room is looking. It has been an amazing experience!

Have never stopped at EA, so I ventured in to see what they offered. Now I know why I have never bought anything and I probably never will. Customer service was good, but some items are way overpriced for the quality. Found what I was looking for at another stpre.

Ordered table and chairs in October 2020 with a promise date of 12/20. Every month we were told it will be here at the end of the month. The table arrived in March without the chairs. Here we are in April with not chairs and no date. And if you finance you will start paying regardless if you have received the furniture or not. At the premium they charge I expected a lot more.

Custom sofa was delivered in much shorter time than was estimated and delivery was very professional. I love my perfect new sofa!

My wife and I went in to look for dining room set in September. Found one we liked but were told we had to make a decision that day because the 25% off sale was ending the next day. Very High PRESSURE TACTICS!! We place the down payment to purchase the set we liked only to find out the 25 % off sale is still going on today (7 months later). In addition, we were told I we would have the furniture by Thanksgiving. After absolutely no updates from our salesperson, we finally emailed in early December only to be told that the delivery would be delayed. We finally received our furniture on March 4th, 2021; 7 months after placing order!! Worst furniture experience ever, worst communication ever!! Never stepping foot inside an Ethan Allen store again. Much better furniture at much better prices at several other furniture stores!!

I love Ethan Allen design and quality. They never fail to please. They are the only ones I trust after 20 years of purchases.

I searched for months trying to find the perfect furnishings for my new home. I found the perfect chairs at Ethan Allen in San Antoino. Waiting for 3 months to have them built was not an issue, but when I received my chairs there were some cosmetic issues. I contacted Ethan Allen after unpacking them with my concerns. They were very dismissive of my concerns and tried to blame it on my transport.

We love our new sofa. It came in early and the delivery guys were wonderful.

I had the best experience working with Rachel. So came to my home while it was under construction to get a feel for the space and helped design the perfect pieces with my style in mind. She helped me avoid design mistakes and looked for pieces that I not only loved but the right scale for the room as well. I would highly recommend her to all my friends.

My designer Rachel is the best in the business! She has designed several rooms in my home and each one is more beautiful than the last. Rachel is truly a gifted designer and I can’t wait for the next project with her! 6/5 stars every time.

Recently purchased LR items. The person who helped me pick out items was helpful and had some good ideas. This person said they were going to be in my area in the next couple of days and would come by my house to help determine room set up and make sure size of pieces would be good, but I never heard from them. Took eight weeks for items to arrive. Delivery went well. Leather items purchased seem well made and only one minor flaw which they said someone would call me the next day and no one has called, so Ill be calling them. I would have thought that after the delivery the sales person would call just to make sure I was happy with the pieces and to say thank you for shopping with us, but no. To me thats just good customer service. So while Im happy with my new furniture, so far, I felt the sales person could be better on follow through.

Let me tell you about the fabulous service I got from Ethan Allen. I contacted Rachel who came highly recommended by a friend in the Washington DC area where I moved to coming from NYC. I had seen a fabulous rug in the showroom, but was not ready to purchase at the time. By the time I was settled and ready to buy, the rug had been discontinued and I was devastated. Rachel went above and beyond and managed to track down the very last rug available in the stores. She understood this was the centerpiece of the whole design concept for a new master and we had to find it! She also helped me coordinate a fabulous grasscloth wallpaper to breakout the office nook in the new bedroom and everything arrived much earlier than expected in light of what we have to navigate with Covid 19. So grateful for the fabulous customer service and so excited for what it will all look like when the renovation is complete. Thank you Rachel!!!

I now have Ethan Allen in every room! My new bedroom furniture is absolutely beautiful and I still love my pieces that are almost 40 years old. Timeless design!

Last June, my 74 year old father and his ANCIENT little 10lb dog were driving down the hwy when his car stalled right in front of this store. This was the heat of the day, over 100 degrees outside. My father went in and asked to use the restroom, they told him paying customers only. He understood. So he asked them to fill his water bowl for his little dog while they waited for the tow truck. They REFUSED to even fill his water bowl with tap water!!! Heartless... Now I’m selling my house of 12yrs and want to replace everything. I’m looking for ENTIRE new furniture for the new one. They could have been my first stop! They had an opportunity to make a lifelong customer. Unfortunately, they may be able to capture the feel of a room, or provide wonderful designs but they aren’t capable of being decent human beings. Compassion should be more important than a profit...

While we love the EA furniture, we are very disappointed with our consultant Rhonda whom we have worked with about a year. We have spent over $20k in furniture (should not matter) and recently asked her to provide design ideas for our other rooms. She is not willing to provide those ideas ie. 3D renderings unless she knows she’s going to make a sale, very unprofessional and laziness.We asked she send us ideas via email due to COVID19 and she has the audacity to say we need to come into the store during a pandemic. We explained we want see ideas first before purchasing. Her idea is to put pressure on someone while they are in the store, a shameful tactic.Complimentary design services are not really being adhered too unless it’s just her. I hope the store manager reaches out because we are disappointed. Part of being a sales consultant is to provide ideas whether or not a sale is going to be made. Especially since we have bought different pieces throughout the year!!!

Ethan Allen was wonderful in every way. I was very impressed with their complimentary design service as well as the high quality fabrics and furniture. Everyone I worked with was very professional and I was happy with the delivery process. Very well managed!!

I had a great experience. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The setup is interior design show room with tons of fabric and framing options. Sarah was especially helpful in picking up the color scheme and customizing the bedroom Suite. If you are looking for furniture that is custom to your liking, this is the place.

When ever I have a vision of what color theme I want for my place, when it comes to furniture custom made I always love to go to Ethan Allen and work with my favorite designer Shae Ivery.

We recently redecorated our living room with the help of our designer, Rachel. She was a delight to work with and did a fabulous job with a room that was not easy to arrange ! She designed everything from the couch to the draperies! Even threw in some fancy pillows !We are loyal Ethan Allen shoppers.Thank you, Rachel !

Buyer beware!!! Read the fine print. We are moving into a new home and have lots to furnish. We purchased a bed and 2 crystal lamps to be delivered when the house is finished. We intended to go back to Ethan Allen to furnish several more rooms but wanted to get in the house first. Nothing has been delivered yet, but realized that the crystal lamps would not be a good match after all. We went in today to cancel DELIVERY of the lamps (they were pretty costly) and we really have no place for them. We were refused a refund or even a credit towards an item we could use. The manager came out telling us that we only had 72 hours for a return....this was NOT a return as we never had possession. This is an odd policy as most times the furniture isn’t even delivered within the 3 days of purchase...so if you buy something there and you get it to your house and don’t like it or it doesn’t look as you expected you are stuck with it...very poor customer service, very poor policy. We will not be purchasing anything else from Ethan Allen, I prefer to spend my money at places that service their customer and not hold them hostage if you decide you do not want something BEFORE it is even delivered.

The staff at Ethan Allen, San Antonio, were nothing short of professional. The overall experience from just dropping in and browsing to selection of furniture was absolutely fantastic. Although we kept shopping around we couldnt help but come back to the store. The interior designer, Chelsea Byers, was equally fantastic. With a few conversations she made light work of the huge range of possibilities to drilling down to almost exactly what we wanted. Or should I say what my wife wanted. She drew up floor plans and sent us lots of visual imagery so we can imagine what all the pieces together would look like. She worked within our budget and provided a range of equally nice options that still matched the overall theme. She showed great flexibility and creativity in striking that balance between style and budget. Weve couldnt have asked for a better experience and the furniture was simply top notch.

Started liking this place, but then with little explanation the product was over a month late.Then it was assembled wrong. One of my drawers wasnt on the tracks and wouldnt open. Had to fix myself. For this kind of money, truly not ok.The delivery guys scuffed my floor and driveway, no apology, just a shrug. They did however complain we didnt warn them the driveway was steep. My wife countered that she in fact had, and they told her well you didnt say it was this steep.Honestly I feel embarrassed we paid these people what we did for how they handled us. I wont be feeling a need to return.

Lindsay Wallace, she was so helpful And gave me a catalog. So my fiancée. And I can pick and choose. To our liking of new furniture for our new home.... We remodeled the bottom floor of our house. We needed new furniture for 3 rooms (living room, dining room, and breakfast room). Chelsea came out to our house to check out what we had at the time. We met a week later to go over the ideas she had for our house. Chelsea picked out everything...furniture, paint, lighting, and curtains. We loved all her ideas! Once the furniture came in, Chelsea came over to stage all our furniture for us and added some last decorative touches. We felt like we were on a HGTV show. The end results were awesome! While I like Ethan Allen furniture because I originally thought it was a cut above the average, I was surprised by the terrible service we received at this location. We noticed some flaws in our couch and loveseat after they were delivered that we were then required to prove to Ethan Allen with photographs and multiple phone calls. When they were finally convinced to send a technician, the technician told us that the production of the back panels of both pieces was completely wrong and poor. Ethan Allen thought the right approach was then to take our couches for 2-4 weeks to repair, leaving us with nothing to sit on in our main room. I convinced them to send replacement couches while ours were being repaired. Terrible customer service for couches that cost thousands more than other places. There are better options out there for your money. Keep looking.

Ethan Allen, youve thoroughly disappointed me and have done a great job of ensuring I never buy from your store again. For the general public reading this post I strongly recommend you shop somewhere other than Ethan Allen, unless you want to wait centuries for your damaged furniture to be delivered to you, then wait another half century for it to be repaired, oh and not to mention having to spend your own time getting in contact with them because the entire time will feel like youre flying in the dark due to spotty communication.For context, my fiancé and I were looking to upgrade our furniture and after window shopping and getting to speak to several sales people we landed on EA. Our sales associate was actually really good, but it all went down hill after agreeing to buy a sectional, leather bench, media cabinet, and sofa table. For one the furniture took forever to be made, but Im willing to concede to having been made aware upfront. However, the bench took considerably longer and wasnt delivered until a month or two after the rest of our furniture had been received. While we were waiting for our bench we were also waiting for our couch to be picked up and repaired because when it was finally delivered one of the corners had been damaged during transport thanks to a dresser it had been positioned up against. All that time just to receive damaged furniture! Well when we received the bench we still had a damaged sectional and it wasnt until about a month later that the sectional was picked up. EA will be kind enough to help you choose a delivery/pick-up date that works with your schedule but good luck knowing what time of the day that delivery/pick-up will occur. EA has serious communication issues, please do yourself a favor and dont put yourself through that horrendous experience. Btw, we bought this furniture at the very beginning of summer and now were well into fall and our damaged sectional is still in the shop...Im told itll be delivered one week from today. SMHI cant speak to every other furniture stores customer service, quality, and overall experience...but I can certainly speak to Ethan Allens - Dont do it, just not worth it!

I was really disappointed with my recent experience at Ethan Allen. The rep C. D., was somewhat rude and condescending. It felt like she profiled me and my boyfriend and suggested that we do our research next time. Next, she suggested a store she assumed suitable for us while walking us out. It was a very awkward experience and opposite of how either one of us are used to being treated, especially here in Texas. We had the mindset to buy but after the abrupt way she started speaking to us we decided to end our search with Ethan Allen.

Very overpriced furniture, even smaller selection (only 1 executive desk in the whole store?!?) And salespeople who werent that friendly made for a not so good experience.

Terrible. Dealt with Don ordered a table and four months later still hadnt heard anything from him. He referred us to a painter who seemed nice but took our money and never completed the job. His name was Reubin. Terrible Terrible Terrible!!!!

We had the worst experience ever with this saleswoman, Marnie and store. We trusted her/store and ordered our drapes for the whole house and made the worst mistake ever. Since we placed the order and paid back in July, 2017 until now, we are still sitting with our torn temporary paper shades in our formal living and dining rooms waiting for the darpes to come! The worst experience ever!
