Pros: They keep you updated frequently and are relatively fast with repairs.Cons: Terrible quality control and dishonest customer service.Someone crashed into our brand new car when it was parked in June 2021. The responsible driver’s insurance (Allstate) sent us to this location of Service King. The repairs were not extremely extensive, but both driver’s side doors would need to be replaced.They called every day with an update about the car. About two weeks later, on July 2, it was ready and I went to go pick it up. I immediately noticed a large flaw (about 3 inches by 2 inches) in the paint on one of the new doors. I pointed this out to the customer service person who was checking the car out, and she told me that they hadn’t done any painting. This was obviously false — that whole door was brand new, and they had told me when the car was sent to the paint department. I insisted that in fact they had, and it was on the receipt. She then told me it would buff out and wasn’t a flaw. I asked her to buff it out then. She got a rag, and when she rubbed the spot nothing happened (not surprising — the flaw was under the new clear coat). She finally then said it would have to go back to the paint department.I also checked the inside of the door that was replaced. (Our door was open when our car was hit, so there was damage to the inside as well.) The damage was still there. Again, the customer service rep tried to convince me that this wasn’t their problem. She said it wasn’t on the estimate and they weren’t supposed to repair it. When I pointed out that actually their job was to fix all the damage from the accident, she asked if I had pointed that out when I brought the car in originally. I said that the car was actually towed in, so she finally agreed to have them fix it. But she still tried to get me to take my car then and return with it later, saying I couldn’t leave with my rental car because she had already “clicked it in.” It wasn’t until I called Allstate and got approval from them to keep the rental that she finally caved.Two more weeks later, they called me to say that they had fixed those two issues (along with re-replacing two pieces of molding that were scratched — these were noticed by their quality assurance, though). There was also a scratch to another piece of trim, but that part would take a while to come in, and they would send someone to my house to replace it when it did.Again, when I picked up the car, there were more problems. This time, the handle above the door in the backseat was missing. Also, the inside of the car (which was brand new!) was dirty, dusty, and stained. This time, I spoke directly with the manager, Dustin, who said he couldn’t think of any reason the handle would have been removed and said they would replace it and detail the car fully.The next day, I went to go pick up the car. They had detailed it and it looked much better. The following day, though, I realized that their detailer had taken a few of the all-weather mats out and failed to put them back in. I ended up just calling the detailing company directly and getting the mats back from them.I really cannot describe how frustrating it was that it took this company three attempts to make a relatively simple repair. Having car repairs done right is a matter of safety, and I still have no way of knowing if there are latent defects with my car that I can’t see.I was particularly surprised that the customer service rep would try to convince me that serious problems with the repair were in fact not problems at all, or that I couldn’t leave with my rental car. It was really stressful to deal with this, and I would strongly recommend against this location particularly and Service King as a whole.

I came to Service King with some minor repairs to my vehicle. I walked in and the ladies at the front were so nice and friendly. I worked with Dustin for my estimate and to get the parts ordered.. they came in the very next morning. I brought my car in, waited in the lobby worked on my laptop and just like that my car was done. I pretty much paid what I was quoted so I had no surprises. This all happened in less than 24 hours. Obviously depending on your cars needs this time frame will vary but the fact that they were so professional and willing help me get on my way was amazing. I will be returning if I ever need anything in the future.

THANK YOU !!! is not enough on how professional all had been during the time my vehicle was in service. they text me EVERY DAY to let me no the status of my car and what they were doing. Our 2016 Ford Explorer was brought here after someone hit it while it was parked. This location was nothing but courteous and professional the whole time. I dealt with Gilbert, Amber, and Ben specifically and I could not be happier with the service they provided. All 3 of them kept me updated with the status of my vehicle and even worked with me to have it delivered to my house when I was unable to get it upon completion. Absolutely would recommend this place to anyway, I am super appreciative of their help.

This Service King, De Zavala, San Antonio TX did amazing work on my Impala. It was damaged on the hood, the window, and the roof. The car looks like it was not even damaged. They called my rental car company and let them know I was ready after we checked my Impala in. Then when the car was done I left the rental car with them. Service King called me many many times and updated me on the status of my car thru every step. Being a woman, the men gave me great respect and answered all of my questions. I wish I could give them a Perfect 10 because that is the service I received. Believe me I’m a hard person to please so getting a perfect 10 you gotta know they deserved it. Give them a chance, you’ll be so glad that you did.

USAA sent me there to get estimate. Already had an appointment. When I arrived I was told I had to make another appointment because it was hail damage.Next available was following week. Left and called USAA they told me all they needed was to give an estimate so we called and a gentleman tod us to come back. I did and he was really rude. He told me to wait inside. I wanted to show him damage and he told me he knew what to look for to just wait. Came back in 5 minutes and said you can leave. He gave usaa an estimate without looking at hood damage or anything. I have over 250 dings, broke lights, door handles etc. This guy was upset about something. All I wanted was my car repaired. Now I have to go somewhere else to get a real bid and get it fixed. Terrible!! If this does not get looked into I will file a formal complaint withUSAA. This is unacceptable. I have name of gentleman if anyone cares.

I was recommended to bring my car to Service King because my car being wrecked in an accident. When I was suppose to get my personal items out the car, I discovered all of my personal items (like clothes, coats, personal care/ beauty products, and shoes) were missing out of my car. The employees act like my items were never in my car.

Dropped my car of a little over 2 weeks ago and was given a completion date that has been moved back 3 times now. Had plans which have been completely ruined and on top of that once I receive my car it wont be fully finished. Am being told a part that is broken was not available in the US and will have to be ordered from out of country. Have no clue why this part was not ordered originally upon drop off as they have had over 2 weeks to figure this out. Heavily disappointed in this company and Allstate for recommending.

Wow I was so impressed with the customer service that I received from Service King! Derrick helped me and stayed in-contact with me while my car was getting repaired and kept me up-to-date with everything! I picked up my car today and it looked brand new again!!! I can be vocally critical and stubborn about bad services or work people do for me that I pay for with my hard earned money, but I also have to give praise to those who do their job well. customer service is a skill..an art..the first 5 seconds in contact with a stranger always sets the pace for good communication..with good customer service, good quality work follows, or it should..Jason Lee and Mark Colon have a skill with customers that should be a standard for every business in our town..on my SUV..which had previous paint and body work done 8-9 years ago from a different company Service KIng bought out. the paint was cracking and fading off, I took it to them for life time warranty work,,they checked all my receipts and the truck,,without hesitation they had the work done and my truck looks like new again,, its 14 years old..kudos to Jason and Mark..diplomacy, courteous and work well done ..I was expecting a battle..but it never came....thanks guys..now I can sleep well again.

I brought my car in on September 3rd for repairs due to an accident with a deer. Jessica was so helpful. She kept in contact with me via text and gave me excellent updates on the progress of my vehicle. The estimated repair finish date was September 18th. They finished my car by September 11th. When I got it back it had been washed and detailed. My car looks awesome! Thank you to Jessica and everyone at Service King!!!!❤️

They did a great job fixing my Honda CRV. Took a little longer than they estimated and missed a pin stripe, but they fixed it and my car looked good as new. Additionally, I had asked Edward (my service rep) about the headlights because they were dingy, said they would take care of them for me. They not only buffed out scratches that were NOT a part of my accident but they also buffed the headlights for free. This is the 3rd vehicle we have taken to Service King & these details are the reason why we do. Thanks for the great service.

My mom had recently gotten into a car accident.It took weeks to finally get it in the shop due to the insurance process but as soon as they took the car in it was ready within a week without any set backs and great customer service from everyone in the shop.Jessica was the biggest help throughout this whole process she not only was up to date on the vehicle but also helped us out with our insurance company due to this being this first accident we were unsure of a lot of things but with her help it was all figured out.I recommend if you want your vehicle fixed well on time with great customer service I recommend service king on de zavala 🙂👍🏽

Ive been here twice now for two different reasons, and both times the staff were great and east to work with.They had an easy connection with my insurance, so they were able to take care of everything very quickly and very efficiently, so I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.The staff was friendly and easy to get along with, plus the repairs were done very quickly and very well, so Id definitely recommend this place.

Tried to make appointment and she told me didnt need appointment on Saturday morning.When I walk-in on Saturday, someone told me need appointment because 2 customers are waiting. If she make an appointment first, I wont waste my time. Current service advisor not even try to resolve situation. They dont care customer. I called other auto body shop company, she told me need to wait 45 minutes at least you have option to wait or not.

I was given updates as the work was done and when I got my car back they even washed it and gave me a little bottle of touch-up paint:) Theyve made this whole experience with having to deal with the aftermath of a car wreck SO much easier and Im so happy to have my car back and looking so great. Being involved in a collision is terrible but then having to deal with Service King adds insult to injury. Upon first bringing my vehicle to be serviced the staff was very pleasant and easy to work with but went down hill from there.On the first day they told me they were going to need to take my car in for further inspection and to see if there were going to be any additional cost for repairs. After a few days my insurance company contacted me to tell me that the estimate they gave was well over the value of the vehicle so they were going to deem it as a total loss. I decided to keep the vehicle since it was still drive-able and had no mechanical issues.I called on a Thursday to let them know what the insurance company had told me and that I would be in to pick the vehicle up the following day (Friday) and that they should contact the insurance company so that they may receive compensation for the work they have done up until that point. When I got there they were completely oblivious on what was going on and told me that they could not release the vehicle until they received payment. I decided to call my claim specialist and allowed them to speak with Service King yet still did not allow me to take my vehicle; despite the fact that the insurance agent told them they would be compensated for their work.Fast forward to Monday I go in to pick up my vehicle and am not greeted with the same friendly smiles I was initially shown. They had told me that they were unable to place the parts back on the vehicle due to liability reasons, which is completely understandable. I have worked in the automotive industry for a few years and have ASE certifications and would consider myself to be pretty savvy when it comes to cars yet another employee told me that I would need to tow the vehicle out in a very hostile and demeaning way. They offered to install my door as a courtesy and it took them about 45 minutes to do a very poor job.The service adviser then proceeded to tell me that all the parts that they had taken off the vehicle were placed inside of the vehicle. I drove across the street to parking lot and noticed that a large lower trim piece was missing, I then went to ask them about the missing piece and they refused to be held accountable for their poor workmanship.I tend to not write reviews but I do this as a courtesy to anyone thinking of taking their vehicle to Service King on De Zavala. If I could give them less than one star I would. I can guarantee that you can get better service and at a more reasonable price ANYWHERE else here in San Antonio.

Paul was taking care of me and said he could have my car ready by Wednesday. I needed it that night for work and he didn’t have it ready nor called me about the estimated finish time so I was automatically very disappointed in the service. I called everyday after Wednesday morning and for some reason Paul was always out on break. I only kept it at Service King because he specifically said he could have my car repaired by that day. When i kept calling about my vehicle status, someone else would answer and couldn’t tell me the status so I was stuck waiting around for Paul to call me back, which he didn’t except for one time. When he finally did call me back he said the same thing, that it would be ready by the end of Wednesday, which it was not of course. I told him I drive a far way to get to the shop and by Thursday he still was “on break” and did not give me any updates. I had to get a rental car and when I went by the shop on Thursday, I asked if it was anywhere close to being done and he said “oh yeah it’s finished” like it’s been done and its no big deal that i have been waiting. Very disappointed with not only Paul’s customer service but with everyone who I was taking on the phone with about updates on my vehicle status.

I had a repair at this location back in March 2019.Service King was contracted to fix my vehicle after it was hit. I was not at fault in the accident, yet the service manager said I would not receive OEM parts. Upon review, the invoice for the repair calls for OEM parts.At first, the repair was delayed by a week as the technician stated the paint quality was subpar. When I received the car, I found many issues. There were huge panel gaps and the aftermarket parts were highly inferior to the OEM parts.On top of these issues, they replaced the windshield with an aftermarket windshield even though it wasnt damaged in the accident. They admitted to replacing the windshield after I caught it at home, stating it was damaged during the repair and the aftermarket item was of comparable quality.It wasnt until I contacted my insurance agent and their corporate hq that this location agreed to fully repair the body damage with OEM parts. I had to come back 3 times over 3 months in order to address issues with the repair. Even now, there are still lingering issues with the repair.If I had to do it all over again, I would not have my car repaired at this location. Their services are subpar, and I had to to argue with them in order to use OEM parts for repair. They were also very shady with trying to pass off aftermarket windshield replacement, and only agreed to use the OEM panel after I found the issue personally.

Brought my car in for a minor collision repair on Tuesday and got it back on Thursday as promised. Everyone in the office was very courteous and McKenzie and the receptionist greeted me. Oshai helped me from start to end and did a great job of keeping me updated through text and email. He notified me of any changes to my original estimate and why, including answering all of my questions. The paint on the vehicle was a perfect factory match; its like having a new car. Thanks Oshai and Service King - De Zavala. Great job!

My car was sent here on Tuesday Dec 13, 2016. I spoke to the receptionist and sent her authorization paperwork that same day so they could start working on my car immediately. She verified that she received my signed paperwork and told me they would contact me by Friday Dec 16 to give me an update. I never heard from them and so I called back on Tuesday Dec 20. I was told by my technician that I never sent my paperwork. When he finally found it in his email he said Oh we cant work on your car anyway because its a Porsche and we dont have the technicians to handle this. Why waste a week of my time waiting for my paperwork (that Id sent!) and then tell me you cant work on Porsches anyway. I was extremely upset and asked for a call from the manager but never received this either. What a waste of my time.

Don’t ever take your car there they charged the insurance 6,000 and my car still broke, I call the 1800 number no one cares in there, the manager name mark colon and the other one his name is Jose they never fix my car, is sad cuz I’m a woman, I went and ask for the manger I was told he was out, and he was sitting in his office, how unprofessional is that, my car looks horrible

Service king collision is a great place to take your vehicle . I have a 2018 Subaru STI and I hit a deer on the 9th of November. They got my car in started ordering parts . Today is the November 20th. Derrick and the guys at service king took care my baby. Match up the paint well. And when I called to speak to Derrick about my car he was there to answer ever question I had with professional knowledge. Granted found a little piece missing from the grill . And I contacted him. And he will have it next week . Great service from derick and the guys that took care my baby. If you want your car to be fix right after a collision I would definitely recommend service king on dezavala. Derrick is the go to man.

I got into an accident on June 29th, 2018. Heard this place was good and does the job right the first time. I was wrong. It is now January 4th, 2019 and I still am missing my 18 GTIs fog light covers and reimbursement check for paying out of pocket for front emblem ($72.64). Now at this time, I have to give the service advisors the entire story on why the job wasnt done right the first time. The timing is ridiculous and the customer service is terrible. I do not recommend this service company or location. I am still out - $72.64 and a 2018 GTI without fog light housing/covers. If you dont know what I am talking about, please google 2018 GTI and look at the fog lights on front bumper. I already made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you Service King De Zavala.

This is the second chance that we gave to this location. Last time it took them 8 weeks to finish my car and not quality job at. All so in the future I will probly never go to service king agin. Very unhappy with this place. My advisor (Mike) was nice enough. Took my car in on Dec. 27th for a damaged bumper and was told it would be ready by Jan. 2nd. Fast forward to Jan. 15th and I still didnt have my car. The courtesy calls to update me on my car had dried up and I had to keep calling them for updates. Even their website said my car was ready whilst they told me it was still under work. When they finally called me in, there were gaps between the bumper and the vehicle, VERY POOR workmanship. After telling them and letting them try to fix it again, the job was still bad!! I gave up on this location. I ended up taking my car to a different Service King on Jan.24th to get the job fixed but it seems as though they also have a problem with FIXING cars. Just ridiculous. Avoid Service King at all costs.

I took my 2015 subaru wrx here for front bumper repair. Andy was my representative and he was very friendly and got things done quickly. The receptionist is very nice also. Took about 15 min to get my appraisal. I took my car in July 28th for repair and was told that worst case prepare for 3 days repair but they finished it the next day! I took it in 9:30am on tuesday and got the call that it was done wednesday at 3pm! Would definitely come back here for body work!
