I did some research online and had then ordered a bike here on June 21 during the pandemic and was told that Id only receive the order on Nov 21. I was like ughh.. thats a long wait but I went and ordered it anyway. Two days later I ended recieving a call from these guys saying my bike is ready.... Turns out the guy before me cancelled his order! I got super lucked out. Asides from that, Im a beginner, and I gotta say Bryce did an amazing job catering me by explaining the basics of riding, giving a test ride, and providing all the really useful info I needed for riding. His communication is very clear and precise. The other guys seem to be in the back most of the time working on servicing bikes, but they seem all dedicated to their work. The store will also deliver bikes to your home if your local to the area. I highly recommend you check out the store. The service is great here and Trek is a reputed brand.

Carlos was friendly and professional and listened to my ten year old and addressed all questions to her to help her decide on the right bike. He knew her size right away, which reassured my daughter that her choices were valid. He let her take the time to ride three bikes and asked her opinion and offered suggestions. I know the bikes are great and there is a lifetime guarantee on the frames, but the main selling point for me is the respect and professionalism in ensuring my daughter received the best experience in buying her first brand new bike.

I rode my motorcycle to Midtown Sacramento for a lunch meeting. On my way back to the office, I passed by Trek Bicycle Sacramento Midtown and I needed to look for a cycling jersey. I found great deals in the clearance section. Since I didnt have a bag, Larry, one of the associates stepped for the challenge of creating a sling bag for me so that I can bring my newly bought stuff and ride my motorcycle. I had an awesome experience with the super helpful service department. I was expecting to have to replace my rear derailleur and they found that it was covered under warranty so I got a new one at no charge! I didnt buy the bike from them and it was a brand they dont sell but they treated me like a loyal customer anyway. Will definitely look at them for future bike purchases.

I replaced both tubes in my wifes bike and had no problem with the first, but when I tried to pump up the rear it blew at 30psi. I found the spoke ?gasket? was not covering the spoke heads, causing the blow out! As I had several errands to run and a wife who did not want to wait till the next day, I decided to take the back wheel and all to Trek midtown and have them do it while I ran my errands.I talked to ?Lucian? I think (sorry guy, Im terrible at remembering names), who was super nice and friendly. I asked him to replace the gasket and the tube and sell me a gasket for the front, and I didnt even ask for an estimate. I expected it to be much more than it turned out to be.After my errands, I got back to Trek and picked up the finished wheel and found that they had not only fixed it, but cleaned it up nicely (the bike had sat outside for a while and was not clean). I had told my wife that it would probably be expensive, but when he gave me the bill I was shocked. It was a ridiculously low amount. I was not only pleased, but was able to pick on my wife with a great eventual reveal!Top notch guys, thanks!

I was coming from out of town (more than an hour away) to pick up some cleats for my shoes and got lost on my way there. The store was about to close so I called and spoke with Carlos. He said hed stay open for a few minutes until I got there. It would have been a real bummer if I had to come back the next day and waste another quarter tank of gas! Carlos even took a few minutes to tell me where a local park was where there was a local running group doing a run! Thanks Carlos!

What can I say that hasnt been said already? They are incredibly knowledgeable, patient and friendly. We have now purchased two bikes here and will come back for any new bikes or services needs we may have. Why go anywhere else? We wont.

I came into The Midtown Trek shop earlier today when I had derailleur issues while out on a ride. I met with Ben and Carlos who were quick to offer a number of options/solutions and got me back on my bike to finish my ride within no time. It has been an amazing TREK eMTB purchasing experience for us to work with Ben and Lucien from the Sacramento Bike store. Due to Covid19, demand for bikes anything is beyond and we are very happy to have found this store, which helped us tremendously to get a couple of bikes from their store and source a bike from another store after all of our bikes were stolen in Olympic Valley prior. Trek Bicycle Sacramento Midtown assisted us from afar with numerous phone calls and worked diligently with us to obtain the three bikes we were in love with and made sure we were completely satisfied.

UPDATE: Trek replied to this review that they would contact me. Never happened. It is one thing to not admit your side of the mistake and try to come to a reasonable compromise, but saying you will contact the customer and then not doing that...One star review confirmed. If you can, imagine just one point of one star.I bought a replacement bike rim from them as the old one was bent. I wasnt able to get the tire back on and I assumed that was because the tires were too old. Really, they sold me the wrong size rim. My fault, I sat on this for two years (one Covid). I understand it was way too long for a return. Three trips times they huddled only to come back with no offering. After pushing a bit they offered 20% off. They had the purchase in their system. Their tech made the mistake. I expected a little more than $8 off since they obviously screwed up. My fault for not immediately returning. I now wonder if my old rim could have been straightened. They told me the rim had been used. If so, then they sold it to me that way. Lost a customer. Rather buy from local shop than corporate Trek store. Before Trek came in, they were better at taking care of you.

Trek put together a Blix packa for me (not purchased from them) and they did a great job. Not only was my bike all set but they also installed the accessories AND spent time learning my bike so they could teach me how to use it! I thought that was really stellar above and beyond service. The Trek team did a great job! I was looking for a bike for my daughter and in the current times there was nothing in stock in her size because of the supply chain problem. Bryce reached out to us when they received one of the bikes we were looking at in the correct size. They have co-vid guide lines in place only 7 clients allowed in store at a time .Yet they come outside to greet u & see how they can help My bike was purchased out of town but they treated me as I had made the purchase from them .I had this clicking every time I pedaled . After two flats from thorns, I asked another bike shop for thorn-resistant inner tubes and was told to purchase better tires. Checked out Trek Bicycle online and found that they had them in stock. Picked up a pair of thorn-resistant tubes and saved $100. Thanks Trek.

The rental process was smooth when I was in town for a conference and I had an awesome ride on a new Domane up to Folsom Lake and back! Staff were friendly, speedy, and super accommodating, and had me rolling out the door in no time.

Ben (the manager) provided the best service I’ve ever received at a bike shop, by a large margin. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and clearly loves cycling! He was not snobby, did not try to rush me despite a long line outside, and helped me select a road bike that met my needs perfectly.I also inadvertently had the chance to see how he treats and trains his new employees, and it is rare to find a manager like him. Happy employees provide good service and I would not hesitate to give his techs my bike. I don’t know if they use a franchise system or what their organizational hierarchy looks like, but I hope Trek sees this and promotes this guy to a regional position.This was an absolutely ideal experience and I would gladly purchase here again. I will be coming here for services and future purchases even though several other shops are closer to home.Experiences like this win brand loyalty for life.

Every time I bring my (pretty old, kinda janky) bike into this place, the staff are SO friendly and always do everything they can to make sure my GT is in prime condition! Carlos was extremely helpful, patient and enthusiastic while interacting with our 13 year old son who was graduating to a grown-up bike. The experience was enjoyable.

I had been researching road bikes, mountain bikes and hybrids and once I decided I wanted an American made road friendly and off road friendly bike that had a stable platform and room for aftermarket improvements as technology comes available I came prepared to view their selection. I already knew what I wanted and was told immediately if their availability. Due to COVID-19 they practiced enhanced customer service and safety and requested the use of mask for folks waiting in line and in the shop. I spoke with the sales manager who promptly gave me information on what I was specifically looking for. I compared two bikes and was allowed to take a test ride. The bike is pretty not masculine pretty but pleasing to the eye and unique, the mechanics and geometry made sense for my frame, as I returned I was able to offer feed back and give questions as well as make after market alterations. I left with a brand new bike of my liking and will utilize it for health and exercise as well as being able to be outdoors while we all cope with social distancing. I was impressed, however seeing more women present would actually make trek more appealing to all riders.

Not having been in a bicycle shop in a long time I was unsure how much I would need to do my self to get the basic things I needed to work on a newly acquired bike. The associate at Trek that helped me took care of everything I needed, even going online to double check info to make sure I had the right parts and making sure my questions were answered before I left. Great store with very knowledgeable employees, clean and comfortable and centrally located downtown Sacramento. I was very impressed and will be back and also recommend to my friends.

Im a fan of the Trek Sacramento Bike Shop run by Ben and Im a frequent customer. Ben has employed some of the most welcoming and bike inclined people in Midtown. Ive been to other bike shops around Sacramento, but I bought my first Trek bike from this shop because I felt very comfortable and welcomed here.I have become very fond of Ples, Carly and the bike mechanics too (Sorry I dont remember their names).They have so much knowledge and experience when it comes to bikes and they like to take their time to educate people before making a purchase decision.

These guys are great. I came in semi-grumpy because I couldn’t get a new tire on and popped a new tube in the process. Ben helped me out with some upgraded tires and threw them on for me. Felt really good walking out of there. High recommendations for Ben.

Service- brought my bike to have the front /right derailleur looked at. Person at the rear tent put it up on the rack, said it was shot, would need a new derailleur/brakes system and since what I had is over 30 years old, might as well get both front /rear replaced. Would be about $150 to replace. BUT problem is all supplies are on backorder (2 months out) due to lack of shipments because of COVID. Sent away with only options: wait for months for replacement parts, try to get the part at the Bike Kitchen or buy a new bike.So I went to a bike shop near our house at Arden and Fair Oaks and the person sprayed a cleaner in the derailleur, messed with it for 2-3 minutes, all fixed, good to go. The other worker in the shop said 99% of the time a good cleaning is all it needs. Road the bike around and it’s working fine. Why did the Trek Bicycle Works shop not even try that??Disappointing part is I have gone to City Bicycle Works (now Trek Bicycle Works Sacramento) for probably 20 years or more. Never again. There are too many honest shops to mess with that.

Its great shop, with obviously a great brand. Only thing is the phone system does not call this location. Need to fix that for more remote customers.

I recently (5-6 months ago) purchased my second ever road bike. The last one was purchased in 1991. I did a bunch of research on line and even shopped on line. I ultimately wanted to be able to ride the bike before purchasing so I opted for a bike shop purchase. not surprisingly I narrowed my search to Trek, Specialized Cannondale, and Giant. I visited stores that sold these brands. After visiting these shops I firmly decided on Trek. The service, knowledge, and friendliness of every single staff member at the Sacramento Mid-town location sold the brand. I recently took my bike in for its complimentary tune-up. The service, friendliness and expertise was once again stellar. I live 35 miles from this shop and pass probably 10-20 shops to get there. Thank you very much for your continued focus on service. In a time when most of my purchases have shifted to on-line because of COVID, I am very very happy I did not go that route with this purchase!
