After ridding my old Cannondale Delta V 700 with street tires for many years I decided to look into something new that was more dedicated to road riding instead of my converted mountain bike. I stopped by Kinetic Cycles to take a look at what was available. I was looking for something with flat bars instead of drop bars but still wanted something with great road bike capabilities. The sales person which later I found out was the owner of the shop Bruce answered all my questions and luckily for me had a Specialized Sirrus 6.0 that looked very good to me. I was ready to buy it but Bruce suggested I take it for a ride first. He checked the bikes fit for me and I took it for a short ride. It was actually more than I was looking for - fast and comfortable, great brakes - very nice. I made the purchase and have been ridding it just over a week now.Im very happy to have this bike and I highly recommend this bike shop!Eric

This reviewed is more tailored towards fittings and adjustments, however all of the staff seem very knowledgeable and experienced. These guys are top notch! Id been having some severe issues when biking over 2 hours with hand placement and saddle issues. The tech nailed down the issues and set us up for proper adjustment. But there was something more......the work he put in was seemless and he definitely knew his profession well. Price are fair and the quality of the parts we purchased (fitting service, new saddle, stems, etc.) Were well discussed and it didnt feel like we were getting pushed to buy things we didnt need.

Bruce and Cody really went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Even when they didnt have a part in stock that I needed quickly, Cody told me where and how to get it so that I could get my build done when I had hoped. Great customer service, that you dont get at every bike shop. Now Im rolling on exactly the bike and build I wanted.

As a new cyclist, I read a lot of reviews before choosing a local bike shop to make sure it would be a place where I was welcome and could get the advice I needed to get started. It can be intimidating to be a woman entering a very male dominated sport, but the guys at Kinetic Cycles have always been kind and receptive to my novice questions. I’ve come here multiple times to buy new gear, get a professional bike fit (highly recommend, worth every penny!), and ask all my “dumb” questions. I have since recommended Kinetic to other women I know in the cycling community and will continue to come here myself for value advice and top notch gear.

First visit to Kinetics Cycles from a friends strong recommendation. Rolled out with an Aethos bike. Bruce, the owner, and his staff were so meticulous setting up the bike for my initial test ride. Cannot recommend Kinetic strongly enough. Im not a bicycle pro and Im a woman, so shopping for bikes and parts almost always means dealing with condescending and exasperated salespeople. After experiencing that kind of treatment at another major bicycle retailer in town, I went to Kinetic and was so impressed with their friendliness, patience and knowledge. Unfortunately, due to COVID, they were quite backordered but let me test out comparable bikes in the meantime, then put me on a waitlist for the one I wanted. Bruce followed up with me several times to check in and let me know I was a priority. Great guy. Finally bought my Specialized Sirrus X 3.0 today and I love her! Worth the wait.

10/10 - This shop is friendly, focused and staffed by experts - It doesnt matter if you race or just enjoy the ride - everyone there shares a love for cycling and you can tell the second they welcome you in the door. Also - especially now, the place is safe - everyone with masks and socially distanced - no one pulling a mask up as you make eye contact- I appreciate that.

Got my bike set up at the first shop but he couldnt get the shifting right, went to the second shop they almost got it but there is still little minor problem. and i bring my bike to this shop today get fixed all the problem perfectly and i had them put my big pulley cage on everything runs smooth like butter. and great comstmer service.

Over rated. Dont recommend the shop bike service. Sloppy. Had a back flat tire. asked for service. The answer was in the15 min will be ready. Called in after 1 hour to find out that the bike wasnt ready. The answer was in 15 min will be ready. 30 min later I was in the shop to pick up my bike. To my surprise the bake wasnt even started on. Waited at the shop for about 25+ min before I can get my bike done. Two day later decided to bike. The bike didnt feel Ok. Found out the back wheel they worked on was not tighten to the frame properly. This was a safety hazard.

True stories: when I was looking at getting a new bike, Bruce let me test ride a Tarmac and a Venge and even went to the trouble of putting on the correct pedals for me.When I needed a longer stem and the one I wanted wasn’t in stock, Bruce and Cody took one off of Cody’s brand new bikes on the spot.Great customer service. Friendly mechanics, especially Trent and Richard. Always nice when the owner greets you by name. Top notch shop.

I had a great experience buying my bike at Kinetic. I was referred by a friend, and went in last year to take a look. Bruce took the time to get me on the trainer, and was really patient with my nervousness as Id recently had a bad fall. I decided to wait until spring, and then Covid hit and everyone wanted bikes! I thought Id have to wait out the summer on my old bike but Bruce immediately responded when I contacted him, and offered me several options. I think that Bruces patience, low pressure style and knowledge about his products all contributed to my decision to buy at Kinetic. Ive frequented several of the other local bike shops, including buying products as well as trying their tuneup and repair services. My experience has been very mixed. I often feel like other places only care about the elite riders but didnt have this feeling at Kinetic. I am looking forward to lots of rides this summer on my new Roubaix!

This place does an incredible job. I needed to get my $4000 mountain bike from California to Utah, and I was skeptical about the whole process, since the bike would be passing through multiple hands who didnt care about it as much as I did. However, they were able to box it up and ship it very quickly, and I received it even sooner than expected. When my shipped bike arrived, I instantly realized just how professional of a job thy had done. Nothing was damaged, everything was carefully packaged, and they even went as far as to mark the position on my seatpost and handlebars so that after reassembly the bike fit me just like it did in California.

Bruce of Kinetic Cycles is great! He is patient and works hard to make sure his clients needs are being met. I have tried almost every bike shop in Sacramento and the surrounding areas, and this is by far the best.

Bought a pair of shoes here a few months ago. The salesman was one of the most helpful individuals I have ever met! I must have made him bring out six pairs of shoes to make sure I had the right fit and color. He was more concerned about me being happy than I was and he had some great tips for setting them up when I got home. Great store and I love my new shoes!

My experiences in both buying products and getting service are first rate. I was not over-sold nor had to return after a service because something was missed. Not sure why this shop gets 5 star reviews across the board. I went in there looking for an entry level bike, and all the guy could tell me was what a superior product specialized was and that I needed to spend 3 times as much from other competitors brands to get an entry level specialized.I explained to him that I was looking for an entry level road bike, and that I was not so dedicated into it like the people that wear the spandex pants and shirts. That I just needed a quick road bike to get to work, so I couldnt justify paying $3,000 plus to get that accomplished. He continued to knock other brands and try to tell me that what I needed was at their store.

Best bike shop in Sac!I recently went to Kinetic Cycles to get info on upgrading the brakes on my wifes bike. I explained that I was hoping to do the work myself, but was looking for advice. Nick was very knowledgeable and helped me figure out which brakes were the best fit for us and ordered them for us. He even told me to feel free to bring it by after doing the work if I needed any tips on fine tuning the brakes.
