I walked in with a flat tire, stranded 5 miles from home.The two employees said that they could not change the tube because they had to build a single bike before the next day, even though only one employee was working on the bike and the other employee was just standing around.One of the employees actually said that their priority is not to help me, but to sell bikes to customers, even though there were no customers in the store.I had to leave the store without my tube fixed, and walk all 5 miles home since it was the only shop in the area.This was definitely not the level of service that I expected from a local bike shop.Definitely frustrating.

Go-to bike shop in East Sac. Shop local and stop by for a tune-up, a new set of panniers, or even a new bike. The staff is friendly and helpful, and if they dont have what youre looking for, theyll gladly order it for you! Stop by if youre in the area - you wont be disappointed!

Extremely rude and very unfriendly staff. They clearly do not welcome local business. My brother and I came in with our kids and the staff was very rude and unfriendly. We immediately left and I would not recommend this place to anybody

Brought my bike in for repairs they caused other damages to it and refused to give me a refund or cover the cost of the damages! No one should ever bring their bike here !!

I couldnt be happier with the staff, service and prices. I am just returning to riding my 25 year old mountain bike and really didnt know what I needed to get it ready to ride again. Staff did a quick overview, identifying a few things and we started with those. Was told it would be a few days, but was called the same day I took it in and relayed they had been able to service it and it was ready to go. No up sell, no surprises, just like we initially identified to be serviced. Very, very pleased with them. Like it is local as well. I will be back.

Fixed my gf’s bike. Mine, well apparently the bike is good enough to sell but not good enough to fix. Befuddled as I may be, I’m now attempting to fix on my own. It was outside and rusted for less than a year, I don’t believe the advice they gave me as their answers were always “you could just get a new bike” or “someone will buy this thing and fix it up” jeez good effort guys. Very nice group of folks just don’t think they have the repair staff that is needed for certain bikes or issues.

I came to buy a bicycle and the staff was really unhelpful like they werent even trying to sell me one. Lazily answering questions and just seeming like they didnt want us there.

The moment I walked in looking for a new bike, the staff was super friendly and really awesome. I found the bike I wanted at a different site, but every time I go in to the H street location, its like Im walking into another home. The staff is incredibly friendly and each time theyre able to tell me every single thing about what I need done with my bike. Its impressive to say the least. Really great shop and really great people.

How much of a commission does this place need?? Also found the $6.95 price tag on REI, Planet cycle, and college cyclery. I can only imagine if they marked up grease, what the bikes, helmets, accessories, and service are marked up to compared to other bike shops nearby.

I really wanted to like East Sac Bike Shop and support a local business however due to their lack of organization and poor customer service, I have to give them a one-star.

Went there the other day to buy some missing bolts on my bike and the guy gave them to me for free! Staff was quite friendly and helpful even though I wasnt making a big purchase. Definitely earned my business next time I need something.

I have gone to this shop for service and questions. Was recently in there with my son and they fixed a derailleur problem on the spot. They explained the problem and how to fix it. As a lifelong bike hobbyist, bike commuter, and recreational mountain biker, I have seen my share good, bad, ugly local bike shops (LBS). East Sac Bike Shop provide excellent customer service and understands that not all customers are the same. Customers should note be made to feel indifferent just because one cant describe the component, the mechanism, or the problem. This LBS is a great example of how a bike shop should assist customers. Keep it up!
