Ive gone to this bicycle shop consistently for a few years now because they have done business right and fairly every single time. honestly, every other bicycle shop Ive ever purchased something from in this city has tried to milk me, but this shop is consistent in their fair pricing and treatment of their customers. I just bought a lock there, and it had issues opening consistently, they replaced it on the spot when I brought it to them. if there were more stars theyd get all of them. highly recommended

My partner and I went here over the weekend to see what we could do about our two bikes. We had some nicer bikes that I had from childhood that were great classics but didnt suit our needs. On recommendation from my friend, we went here. We traded in our bikes for credit on two new bikes. The people were nice, the service was great, and the prices were even better! I would definitely recommend this place.I also appreciated how seriously they took COVID safety.

Super friendly crew. Bought a new bike with them, traded an old bike in and left one for a tune up all in one visit. They worked with me and gave me package deals. I’m a frequent customer of the Bicycle Business, Trek, Mikes Bikes, and Kinetic cycles, spent more than $15k at them, and the first time dropping by here in an emergency is the worst customer service I’ve received at a local bike shop by far.Walked in here for parts to help repair my gfs e-bike, and the owner Jeff immediately exclaimed that they don’t work on ebikes.... I was taken aback by his curtness, and reiterated that I was looking for parts and tools. He hesitantly sold me tubes and loaned me wrench so I can fix it in the sun... he literally turned the unused bike repair stand around so I wouldn’t use it. First and last time coming here, and telling my riding group the same.

Great service! This shop has adjusted well to the pandemic environment. We needed a commuter bike quickly and were having trouble finding anything in stock. We brought an old bike to maybe have fixed if we couldnt find a suitable one to buy. Fortunately, several suitable bikes greeted us outdoors, and they brought out the accessories we wanted, making the experience easy and safe. We even left the old broken bike to be fixed. Great experience!

Super cool shop, cool and very knowledgeable staff, and affordable bikes if you’re just looking for a bike to get around. Every other shop I looked at the cheapest they had was 800, which for someone that is just looking for reliable transportation that is a little ridiculous. I haven’t being in a bike shop for many years, but took my brother and his bike in for a new tire. What a great experience, I called in the morning to see how much it would cost to get a new tire. We received awesome service and great selection of tires. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good customer service and a good selection of bike accessories.

Went to Sutterville bike shop to look at some parts for my bikes. They have a lot of used parts so this helps me on a budget. I waited a whole day from Monday because they aren’t open till Tuesday at noon. I got there and waited with a bunch of people to get in because they only allow 2 people at a time. Ok cool. So I waited in the hot sun with no shade. When it was my turn they wouldn’t let me in to look, instead they wanted to bring me things. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted because I wanted to look. I always find something else I didn’t even know I wanted. I’m not sitting in the hot sun to buy things from any business, even when there’s no other customers in the business and they allow two people. Sutterville bike shop will lose my money now until this COVID-19 is over. I will just order things I need from eBay.

Earlier this year I bought a bike online and couldnt assemble it properly. I called Sutterville Bicycle Company to see if they would assemble my bike for me; they gave me a 2 week lead time. I took my bike in on June 15th and was able to pick it up a week later. Great service! Great attitudes! Friendly but professional.After my fiance and I picked up the bike and went to our apartment, I noticed I didnt have my engagement ring. I couldnt find it anywhere in our apartment. The last place we went to was the bike shop. We drove back to the shop and search the parking lot and still couldnt find it. I went into the shop and asked one of the staff. Sure enough, the owner found the ring out in the parking lot, and after I identified the special detail of my engagement ring, he gave it to me. I was in tears!I am truly blessed to have lost my ring in a business with kindhearted and honest people. I recently bought a new bike here. Jeff the owner is a expert on everything bike. He took about a. Hour or more to go over differences road bike vs. Commuter bike and had me ride a handful of bikes. Interestingly this was my 3rd or 4th visit a d I never got any pressure to buy a bike. I was just given straight honest information and left to make a decision. After much debate, I decided to buy a bike and was given a nice deal on a bike that Jeff special ordered for me. He even gave me solid trade-in value on my old bike. The owner has a horrible attitude. Just wanted to get a quote from him for something that I wanted to do for the company I work at, and before I could explain that, he just said there pretty busy and to send something by mail. What? If you dont want to talk to customers via phone, dont have a phone number.

Best bike shop Ive been to. No overpriced clothes, just bikes ( new and used), bike parts, and very friendly mechanics. Ive had two bike tune ups done there, both with excellent results. They even have used parts to keep costs down, if you want.

The place is crammed tight with bikes and bike paraphernalia and display cases, so if youre claustrophobic...beware. Its about as wide as 1 1/2 city buses. And the atmosphere is like dive bar-ish--really dimly lit and so below the radar in terms of location, recognition and who is staffed there. Speaking of which, the proprietor of said place has a really snarky attitude. Every time I was there (which was about a handful of times) i got some degree of it. The one time that it wasnt on blatant display, i could feel it just teeming below the surface. It is very unsettling, but if you can ignore the condescending and misanthropic-like personality, you will get pretty good service. That guy is pretty accommodating, albeit whatever it is that is asked of him is done begrudgingly and with an air of reluctance in his demeanor. Dock one star for his attitude. And personally, Ive had enough with the attitude or personality or whatever it is so Im through with the place.

Ok. The guy who runs this shop loves bikes! Old, new, funky, weird, broken, or just a parter. He collects and sells. The best shops are owned by passionate people. Hes a passionate bike guy!

I bought a kickstand for my walmart bike because the one it came with didnt work any more. The one I bought from here is holding up great. Then I bought a front rim for the same bike because the old one was bent and rode more like a circus ride than a bike. Now it rides really smooth. I will be back to get the other rim soon. Hopefully I wont have to replace anything else. This place has new and used parts. I give it 5 stars because I have visited other bike shops 6 to be exact and the customer service at Sutterville is by far the best. I support this business and recomend it to anyone who likes sales and good customer service. Thank you! See you soon.

I had a flat tire so went there to buy a tube so that I may install it. I was instructed to install said tube on the far side of the parking lot. Almost as if the sight of a man changing an inner tube directly outside of a bicycle shop was unseemly.

I had a punctured tyre. I visited it because an acquaintance told me he has his bike repaired here. I was the only customer when I visited so I got immediate attention. Dough and Greg (I think tose are their names) are friendly and kindly and informedly answered some questions I asked about the best choice economically between a new tube or having it patched. Although I think $10 is exspensive for the repair, (they told me on the phone theyd charge half if you take just the tube) I didnt mind because I was in a rush and it took te man less than 5 mintes to reepair it. I also bought a lock for the bike, and they installed it for me no extra charge. The place is big and sundrey in terms of bikes pieces and items usual to equip a bike. the lightrain station is just about a 4 minutes walk so its easy to get there, even if like me, you carry the actual bike with you.Im considering going back to etiher get a flat tyre repaired (again) or just to buy pathces and glue to do the job myself.Ill recommend it as long as I dont find a place that charges less.
