I love love my new (used) car its so cool and fun to drive but she was sold a little dirty on the inside. Its disappointing to get something soo expensive and it doesnt look like its been cleaned up. I didnt see it at the time (evening purchase) but I hope this review is read by anyone at the dealership & it gets folks cleaning the used cars especially the Mazdas to be sold. You can see in the pictures it needs a good wiping, even the windshield is dirty but that couldnt be seen in a picture for reference.
Tracey was great. They worked on my car asked to keep it that night to ensure the tire was good. Found it still lost some air figured out the issue and fixed. Very happy with the service and gracious approach to service.
I have been a customer at Whitten since 2005. Their service department is second to none. Their service reps are always courteous, professional and accommodating. The techs do a great job as well. My car is always returned without any need to clean up after its serviced. I trust my car with Whitten.
I purchased my CX9 from Whitten Mazda a couple of weeks ago. The staff at Whitten made this the best car buying experience I have ever had. My salesperson, Melvin was awesome. He showed me a couple of different vehicles and their features. He walked me through the process, making my decision easy. The finance person, Jay was great. He showed me all of the financial and vehicle protection options available to me. This was a seamless process, allowing me to make the best option for myself. Service department has very poor customer service skills. Each time I’ve visited (twice now, different employees) I’ve been treated poorly. Will not return for service, or to purchase another vehicle. Would recommend you take your service elsewhere.
Needed to write a deserved review. After a couple weeks of driving my new Mazda I am still as in love as the first day I test drove it. Solid experience. I was able to work things out over the phone and just drive in and sign a couple papers. Salesman (Bill Edward) didn’t rush when going over all of the vehicles features. He gave us his card and asked us to call if he can go back over anything if questions came up. Good work
All staff were wearing masks which was very comforting. They had low inventory at the time but didn’t treat me like a jerk as another local dealership did.The process was also relatively quick.
We had a terrific experience purchasing a used Mazda from Whitten. Harold Toast had our car waiting for a test drive, was thoughtful in answering our questions, patient with our various requests, and never once made us feel pressured in our decision-making process. Ron was an engaged, down-to-earth, and creative sales manager who negotiated fairly and found local financing that surpassed the already low rates offered by our larger bank. And today, Hope, the finance manager called to let us know that a better rate had been offered from the same bank and we simply needed to re-sign some paperwork. Very pleased with the whole experience and level of customer care in the process.
Adam was very friendly and helpful. He suggested I get my inspection done, which saved me time from having to go elsewhere. I was able to pick my car up after work and was pleased with how much smoother it ran and being able to have CarPlay.
Tracey Boone has always made sure that our experience was the best! We were checked in right away, and our Mazda 3 was ready much sooner than we expected. She let us know as soon as it was ready, and we were able to go pick it up while we were still out running errands. I highly recommend Whitten service.
In a nutshell, five stars is not enough! Not the typical dealership I was used to. The relaxed atmosphere and calm staff I’m sure would make for a great car buying experience for everyone. Not in one instance felt pressured to take uninformed decisions, something so common in other dealerships. My guy was Bill Edwards. I swear, I’d buy vehicles from this guy anytime, and that’s because he was able to make me trust him! Never did he ask me if he could earn my business or BS me with junk info. Instead he had already pulled out the vehicle I intended to purchase prior to my arrival. Once there, I test drove it and then sat down to talk business. I was bringing my own financing from the bank, but they made me an even better offer. He asked a few times whether I was familiar with the vehicle I was purchasing and its technology and insisted to go over some stuff. I appreciated that. We ended up concluding the deal and I truly consider my car buying experience with them, very satisfying! I will recommend them to anyone I know looking to buy a car, and I’m sure they won’t be disappointed! To Bill Edwards: I didn’t know you before and you certainly didn’t knew me, however you earned my respect! Thank you for making this an unforgettable positive experience!
Set up appointment on their web site, easy to use. Took advantage of their eve-before drop off service. Then they just call me to pick it up. The rep was very nice.
I just took my new car to Mazda for a fix from a hit and run. I took it in on Aug 3rd and received it September 3rd (a full month). I was told that because the car is new, the parts would take a long time to come in, which they did, but I was told to wait to bring it in for nearly 2 weeks so they could order the necessary parts. Unfortunately, they didnt order all of the correct parts because they based the order off of the insurance companys estimate. Im not sure why they would have me wait to bring in a car if they werent going to be sure what parts they actually needed. Waiting to bring the car in only dragged on the process more since they actually had to look at the car to figure out what was needed. Additionally, I felt that there was a lack of communication as to what was going on with my car for weeks. The original estimate was 5 days and I would receive email updates that the car was still in the bodyshop and they would update me later. I had to call many times and beg them to give me a date as to when I could expect my car. I called at least 10 times for updates because the information I received in the email was either no update or inaccurate information. The experience was frustrating.
I am not giving a full five stars like I normally would. They did fine as far as performing my state inspection. Although I had some Air Conditioning issues that I asked to be checked. And it turned into one of those situations that they could not duplicate the problem. Ironically, I have not noticed the problem since the car was there, so maybe it was just a fluke. I will give at least 3 stars because they indicated that they did try for multiple days, and they did get the car back to me in a reasonable time. They just were not able to get my car to have the problem that I noted, so no repairs were performed, and the labor costs are something to get used to being they are much higher these days than I remember them being last time I paid for work at any shop. Still a decent shop just the same. Thanks for trying.
I had a oil change and tire rotation. Everything went well. My service guy worked extra hard to get me through quickly since I was waiting. I really appreciate their service.
Hands down best customer service experience I have ever had. My car broke down during a move to Massachusetts and the employees here at Whitten Mazda were all so helpful and nice. There was a mix up on the parts being available for the work on my car so I had to reschedule. I think it was my mistake but when I came in and had the work done the service writer had my car washed and cleaned inside and gave me a full tank of gas. Totally unexpected. I was very happy!
So theres a gentleman named Jason who helped me fix an issue that I was having, and I truly felt like he cared. Jason help me find a solution to my problem and it was very helpful. When I do want to get a new car I will be going back. THANKS ALOT!
Everyone there was just wonderful. I was going to drop my car off and not wait for it thinking it would take a few days to get inspection oil change and tire rotation. To my surprise it was done in an hour! I was thrilled.

Took my 2018 cx 9 to have my touch screen replaced. It was delaminating from the inside. They verified it was covered under warranty and I also asked them to put in the android auto feature. They installed it, car look immaculate, you would never know they had to take the dash apart. Got a courtesy car for the day until mine was ready. All in all, great service and I am loving my android auto.

We had a great sales person (Geraldine Chisholm), but due to no fault of hers, it ended up taking 3 hours to fill out the paperwork and leave with our car. The main problem was that it wasnt cleaned up well and gassed before we arrived, so the cleaning had to be done (redone) after we arrived. Then, since it was nearly an hour past closing time, I drove Geraldine to get tank filled while she explained the main features of the car. When we returned to the dealership, everyone had left, so we waited for Geraldine to finish up and go to her car since we were uncomfortable leaving her by herself at 9:00 at night. I could tell she was embarrassed by this, but she remained personable and pleasant. Bottom line, though, is we really like the car and are very pleased that we purchased it.
Whitten Brothers was able to secure the vehicle and color choice that we wanted and were very helpful in explaining all the features of the new car. After some negotiation, I received what I considered to be a good deal, based on my research. Overall, a good buying experience.

Terrible customer service, I would leave zero stars if that was an option. I called to make an appointment for a test drive for a particular, brand new vehicle, which they assured me was still available. I let them know that I was driving over 2 hours to see that one vehicle and was very interested, to please call me if anything changed with the availability. I arrived for my appointment and they informed me that it was sold. They never even called to let me know that it was no longer available, even though they were aware of how far I was coming to see it. They did not apologize or even offer to show me any other vehicle, just stood there and stared at me after they said the vehicle that I came to see was gone. I was extremely disappointed in their lack of professionalism and care for their customers. It all worked out, because while driving through a neighboring car lot, upset at how I was treated, I met an extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, professional salesman and ended up buying a fully loaded SUV from him on the spot, that cost over $10,000 more than the Mazda that I was going to purchase. Just a tip, being kind and professional is always a good idea, especially if you work in Customer Service.

Bill Edwards was great. After research online I scheduled a time to come in and test drive the Mazda CX-5. He had the Carfax printed and gave me some more background on the vehicle and let me ride. He wasnt pushy, he told me about putting a deposit on it if I wanted but I could do it at any time. I ended up coming back and buying the car. The entire time they were nothing but professional and made my car buying experience easy. We bought our used CX 9 GT over the Memorial weekend and with the friendly staff, from Harold who took the time to introducing us to the brand and the vehicle, to Ron who helped with extra info needed to make the decision easy and to Mike who didnt mind taking the time to explain everything with the final process and then some. The price was the best we could find on the web. Imagine the Mazda dealer nearby did not have a better price, so we drove 1.5 hrs to pick up this vehicle. Even Ryan sends you a friendly video to contact you. Everyone there was friendly!! For us it was the best decision and Im glad we went to Whitten!!!

My repair for CX9 is just replace Front bumper.However, It took more 3 weeks for my car to get repaired. The complete date is behind schedule.I had to use a loaner car for a long time.I do not understand the reason why the repair date is so behind . One of the reasons is to make some calibration for BSM which is the function for Rear bumper, though.
Dropped off my vehicle at 7:30am to have diagnostics run and brakes checked while I waited on-site. After a couple hours i was advised of the cost for 2 options regarding the navigation system and i declined both. Next i was advised that the brakes were fine as is. Then i was informed that the battery needed to be replaced and i told the service rep to go ahead and do that. Around noon i was told my car is ready. I paid the bill and drove off. The battery was not replaced (i was not charged for it either). I live in South Carolina and was visiting family and friends in Virginia. Now i have to get the battery replaced locally and spend more time getting that done.
Could not have been a better experience! Chris quoted a price that I paid less than 2 hours later. Everything was done as I needed it, and I feel good about my daughter continuing to drive her car.

The whole process of booking my Mazda for its 175 K mile check up & getting it serviced was easy. Good communication during & explanation of needs was great by the service advisor.
I am speaking to the shopping experience at this specific location, during a pandemic, from a public health and safety standpoint.There was nothing wrong with the car shopping aspect in the typical fasion regarding trying a car out and discussing it after. However, one building was so crowded, social distancing of 6 ft was not always achievable (people wore masks there), and the second building that we shopped in had considerably less people in it, but multiple adults (3-4 separate people over the entire shopping time) walking around in the second building with no mask on. I kept finding myself wanting to be outside for safety. When it came time to talk after the test drive, I brought this up to the gentleman who was helping us, and he did pop inside before me to make sure that everyone in that moment was wearing mask, but it didnt take long for another person without a mask to walk in and pass by us, and no one appeared to say anything.Just not my cup of tea, we bought from elsewhere.

Dropped car off 7:30a.m. Tuesday morning for oil change tire rotation and recall on headlights. Schedule was made 10 days prior and they didnt have parts. Picked up on Saturday.... serious inconvenience. If you dont have parts customer should be told not to drop off.
Very quick and efficient. Easy to book online or via the Mazda App. The customer service was awesome too and they made sure everything that I wanted checked was good to go before handing the car back to me. I was in and out in about an hour.

I had to take a Mazda pickup in for some recall work. I interacted with 5 different people in the service department including the manager over a 2 week period because the parts had to be ordered and EVERYONE I spoke to was extremely pleasant and professional. The day the work was being done I was kept in the loop on progress and it all went as planned.Great group of people I would without hesitation recommend them to anyone!!!!

Flew in to this dealership from another state to buy a Mazda Miata and then drove it 7.5 hours back home. They were wonderful every step of the way. Our salesperson, Harold Toast, picked us up from the airport (he was waiting there before we even landed!) and gave us a ride to the dealership. They honored the price we agreed on. No bait and switch tactics occurred. They were completely honest and I had a wonderful experience. The titling process was taken care of perfectly by Daisy, the titling clerk. I had no issues with getting plates, and they even offered to renew my temporary tag and registration since things were slow with my home state due to Covid. They have done everything possible to make the transaction smooth, and I would highly recommend them. Ive helped buy several cars before, and this was by far one of my favorite experiences across a wide variety of dealerships.
