The best Pep boys there is to go to! Phenomenal service by Emmanuel as he went out his way to make sure I got my tire done so fast I was surprised! The speed and quality. 10 out of 10 would come here again. If you go, ask for Emmanuel, he’s the best!

Horrible service. Always on hold when calling the store. Went in 2 weeks ago for oil change was told couldn’t because of shortage of techs. Ordered 4 tires and paid for installed and had delivered to store. Now the guy only works till 2PM, UNBELIEVABLE and he not even at work today. SMH.

Poor customer Service. Car ready to be serviced at 10:35Am went in at 6Pm to find out status nothing had been done. However I was charged $110.00 for computer diagnostic code to tell me key not detected. I Could have went to Auto-Zone and got that for free. SMH....

I am so mad at my experience there today. It started fine, they price matched a competitor for FRONT brakes/rotors and gave me a qoute including that and an oil change. Great, right? While waiting to get picked up they told me the engine was running roughly and they could give me an $89 diagnostic and get the typically small issue taken care of. Okay. Told them to move forward and notify me of what they found. An hour and a half later they call and tell me they are going to handle the rear pads too included in the same quote for the front. Outstanding! I even called back to make sure I wasnt mistaken. Confirmed. Two hours pass and they call me to tell me they made a mistake and that the job would be another $200 with the rear pads and that they had already started the job and were only waiting on the hardware kit to finish the rear brakes. They said they had also run the diagnostic but glossed over telling me the issue then rushed off the phone. Fortunately, I record all my calls. So I get there when they tell me the truck is ready, dispute the charge (even played back the conversation where he confirmed the work and prices) and they said the initial agreement was only for the front brakes and that extra work would cost more. He really dug in his heels and made it so I would have had to lose it in front of my family to make any headway so I went ahead and paid for the work. Additionally, they never discussed the results of the diagnostic while the truck was in the garage so now I have to get a second service to get the spark plugs and wires fixed. They wanted another $329 to replace spark plugs and wires - nope. So I paid on the payment plan, got home and calmed the heck down long enough to do the math on the bill and I find out the guy at the counter snuck a $130 discount on the rear pads into the bill. Never told me he did. It took some of the sting out but it was damned shady and I question how it would have turned out if I had not been able to produce recordings of the phone conversations. Still, I paid for a diagnostic no action was taken on, was pressured into getting rear drum brakes changed unnecessarily and riled up something fierce. I feel like I was cheated, taken advantage of, played and left in a lurch. I will NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS let Pep Boys anywhere near my vehicle again nor those of my friends if I ever have any say in it!

We usually take all of our cars to pep boyz for oil changes and other repairs.A couple years ago, my mom and I were there for her car to get oil change. She just happened to notice that they were lowering her car while the SPLASH pan was still sitting on the table. She yelled out to the guy to put her car back together.Fast forward 2 years, I was in a spot and took my cx-9 to a jiffy lube. They told me that my splash pan was missing. I shouldnt even be surprised.So be careful when taking your car to these places that they put your splash pan back on.It saves them time, especially on the NEXT oil change, but my motor looks like its been off roading because all road debris is being throw inside the engine bay. You deserve better.

To the gentleman who was “up sold” on his rear brakes. I would suggest he contact consumer affairs and Pep Boys corporate office. Since you have the evidence on tape it will be easy to prove fraud on their part. Thanks for posting your review, I was thinking about taking both of our cars in today for brakes. This Pep Boys store is managed and staffed by some great people. I wrecked a tire and needed to travel 600 more miles to get home. Pep Boys was very busy, place was working at %100 and still made time to get me a tire and on the road in a few hours w no appointment. Prices are good! Service is the best! Thank you.

Front managers are good..want to help..but back end mechanics are lousy to say the least.. this one guy was on the cell phone talking for 4 hrs I was there.. half working in one hand.. I am scared to take my car back there again. I went for 11am appointment and my car got picked up for tire change at 2:30!!!

I took a friend to this Pep Boys Auto location on Sunday because he was having car issues. One of the service staff member there went above and beyond to assist him. I wish that I had gotten his name because he deserves 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for his assistance. One of the other staff member there (although he was nice) basically had written us off but the other gentleman stepped in and went above and beyond what was required. GREAT JOB!!!

Ok i have been to this pepboys on multiple occasions for multiple things. My first issue was my brake lights werent working and needed to be replaced and my hood latch release wasnt working and wouldnt open my hood. Dorian who i talked to told me he would look and see what the prices were from his vendors and try and get me the best deal for the brake lights. I waited a few weeks and then called the store only to find out he wasnt around and would be back the following week. That next week i stopped in to see if i could get a answer and the guy at the desk looked for my info but nothing was in the system so no record of what i needed. He was just walking in the door so i gave him a few to settle and he just sat in the shop talking with the guys. I got up and walked out after 10 minutes. Figured this guy didnt want to work and make money. My next time i had a issue with my tire. It wasnt holding pressure for long and so i knew i had something in it. They looked at it and it had a nail in it and the fixed it no charge. That was nice of them since my experience last time was horrible. Now i come back to get a oil change which i bought the oil and filter and again have my hood latch release looked at again and i made a appointment for 3pm. I had other things to do but i came back around 530pm and my car was still sitting there not even touched. I got the phone call around 6pm that my car was finally ready. I was there around 645pm, they closed at 7pm and i asked them did they look at my hood latch. They said it worked fine for them so they didnt know what they issue was. I said ok that weird because when i pull on the release it doesnt do anything like it suppose to. I go to my car turn it on and tried the hood latch release and it still isnt working. I give up on this store. I will take my business elsewhere where people want my business and want to make sure they do what i needed them to do in a reasonable timely matter. Not have me waiting all afternoon for a job that takes literally 10 to 30 minutes max to do. You can do all the tire fixes you want while real mechanics will make 10 times the money when they do the real jobs you guys dont want to do

I took my company vehicle here to get the battery serviced and an oil change. The guy tells me my battery isnt holding a charge and you need a new one but it should be ok. I get in it Monday morning and IT WONT START!!!! I dont know why they just didnt put a new one. Clearly i need the vehicle for work!! I will not be bringing back here.

I had great ease with scheduling an appointment and was able to receive an appointment w/in a fairly short amount of time. I went to the wrong location & this location helped me over the phone, and still accepted my car. I had my brakes and rotars replaced. They also gave me some advice on what I could do to continue to maintain my car. I saved 166.00 dollars here compared to other shops I got an estimate from. The staff was courteous and friendly. I really enjoyed the professionalism of the new manager. This is my new go to spot for repairs. Kudos!

Awesome. Stopped in 10 minutes before closing to get a tire plugged. Tire could not be repaired and my other rear one was ready to be replaced so they stayed 30 minutes late to get me 2 new tires. Price and warranty are great. Will be going back for the other 2 soon.

Excellent! Very honest, friendly, and professional. I thought I had to change some air filters but after they looked at my vehicle, they said it was not necessary and did not charge me. Also finished my oil change within a short amount of time and did not try to sell anything else to me.

🚗I had a good experience and it wasnt a timely wait and cost of repairs acceptable in my opinion. They have a nice desk space which included power outlets for electrical devices. They have coffee☕and tea choices while in their customer lounge. Friendly staff members 🤗.

Came here for some tires for my Honda fit, and oddly enough this was one of the only places I could find that had the size I needed in stock. They were very friendly and were able to help me taken care of quickly, but when I got the bill after they put them on I realized I was a little misguided about the discount I was meant to be getting on the four tires. If youre going do business with the service center, just make sure youre clear about what youre really getting beforehand.

Worst pepboys service ever! I give this place a zero if i could. My engine light was on so I took to them to look at. They did a full diagnostic and told me it was a misfire on coil #1. So I told them to change it and they did a tune-up with additional work that I didnt asked. The total cost $555. 2 days later, my car was hard start, no better than before it was supposedly fixed and engine light on again. I run my own car diagnostic tool and same misfire message appeared. Took my car back to this pepboys. Guess what they said? Its the fuel injector from the coil#1 that they replaced 2 days ago. And charged me $200 to replace it. So I spend a total of almost $1000 and wasted 2 days! Why didnt they detected that the first time?. This place is a rip-off! Dont ever go this place! I regret going there! The mechanics there are clueless. Im taking my car to the dealership next time.

First they were completely rude about my repair. Then tried to force an unnecessary repair on me which would have been an extra $400 dollars. When I got there the price that I had called to check before coming to pay which was to include all fees was different when I got to the register. The person Greg that checked me out was obnoxious and has no customer service skills. But Josh that was working checkout was excellent. Then I noticed after leaving and almost getting home my A/C was not working when it was working when it was towed in. How do they mess my air up when working on alternator? I called back this evening to ask what happen because I had another shop look at it and was told it was empty as a bone. Mind you this is a 2006 van. That shop wanted $40+ dollars to recharge. I called pep boys and Kevin answered and said I would have to call back at 8 am when a mechanic was there. Im hello. Why is the repair shop open if there is no mechanic? I have a special needs infant that has breathing problems and she had to ride around in 95+ degree weather while attending appointments. Please tell me where this makes sense to me. They will not get another dime out of me. I used them because they are close to my home....but never again......I hope they are happy with what they got out me. And if they dont resolve my a/c issue after I call. BBB will be notified as well as my attorney.Update: I called and spoke to the service manager.... believe his name was buddy or Bobby. He looked at my van and said the electrical plug for the A/C had been unplugged and was not out back correctly...... Long story short in 30 min... He had fixed the problem, he was very kind and could tell he really cared about ppl not just the money......so for that I will give this place 3 stars and additional one just for him!!!!!😂😂😂

I took my vehicle to Pep Boys this week for a state inspection and headlight work. My vehicle had just been to another shop where I was quoted several hundred dollars worth of repairs. Before investing that much money, I felt I needed a second opinion. The customer service at Pep Boys was top notch. They did a courtesy inspection on my vehicle & made all the required repairs at a fraction-of-a-fraction of the cost as quoted by other shop. Another key difference was that I got to speak directly with the mechanic working on my vehicle - dealerships treat this as an unreasonable and inconvenient request. They kinda saved the day...my day. So Ill definitely go back. If I have any complaint about my visit, it would be the about the bathroom. Ive come to accept the harsh realities one is reminded of in a unisex bathroom, but there is a limit...

I would give them a ZERO if I can. They pressure customers to buy parts and do work that they didnt ask for. Their $99 alignment that lasted 20 minutes or less was more off after they completed it. Their approach is like that of a tiger shark! Worst alignment!

The black shop mech was honest about my brakes. Buddy the manager was friendly, but did not follow up. Ken was aloof impersonal. He was rude to fellow employees in front of customers. Kevin was polite and patient. Keep Ken away from people. My brakes are great, and Im going back to have the rears done.

I tried to give them a chance even though they had only 3 stars. but unless you have an appointment set up. don’t ever come here. was told it would take my vehicle an hour to be ready. took 3 hours and I was late for work. all of the mechanics walk around dragging their feet and do not know the meaning of working at an efficient place. there’s a reason there is a now hiring sign hanging from the building. I promise you this will be my last time spending any money with them.

I have mostly always gone to Pep Boys for any auto repair I need. I was ecstatic to see Buddy from the Glen Allen store now at the Midlothian location! The Midlothian location has definitely turned around with times, cleanliness, and customer service since Buddy made the transfer. I trust wholeheartedly my vehicle in their possession. I know I will receive accurate repair suggestions, a fair price, and excellent work. Kaitlyn is the most honest and knowledgeable worker there! She is the best multi-tasker ever. While on the phone calming an irate customer, she checked me out, and found a part for another customer with attention, respect and a smile on her face for each of us. I will always return to Pep Boys for all my vehicle maintence!

Had a very good experience with the Pep Boys on Midlothian Tnpk. I have used this store before and the attitude from them has always been polite and courteous. In my most recent experience, I needed 6 tires for my Dually truck, on a Sunday. Had the truck in there by 12:00pm, and they were done by 4:00pm. To top it off, They did the total job and I received quality, 10 ply tires and beet everyone else s price!

Went in for an oil change on October 10,2017 only to discover that when he (Harvey)was finished he did not connect a piece back on my car, as I was driving my car started shaking rattling and the engine started revving, my car cut off at least five times in traffic, all this after an oil change( Im thinking to myself), I almost couldnt make it back oh did I mention the engine wouldnt allow my car to go more than 25mph I had to drive the whole time with my emergency lights on while waving my hand out the window for people to go around, I was terrified, had to just about run lights (luckily I didnt have to) because I knew If I was ever stopped at a light the car would rattle and I would hear loud clicking noises then itll cut off..... (I did experience this), when I did make it back to pepboys they fixed it then told me the problem but I didnt get an apology for their negligence, lets just say that was my first and last time going there, Ill stick with merchants

I got treated like I was going to steal something,I got approach by a white guy asking me can I help you and I told him no,then said if you not buying anything then leave I just ignore him went over to the black guy behind the counter he was even nastier, so I left, Im guessing another bad day for the employees,follow up,I got a response from the owner to investigate the matter no need this happen a while back,neither of the two guys that gave me a hard time I havent seen in there lately,the service was100% better, so you are getting a 5 star rating

Wanted twenty dollars to put on a headlight. Sometimes these type of places put them on for free, other times they say they cant put them on at all, but $20? I declined. My normal place charges $10, but they werent open so I went to another small town place and he charged me $15 and started immediately, took him about 15 minutes. Figured that was fair enough, Ive heard bad stories not Pep Boys anyway, rather spend local.

Very disappointed, have done business here in the pass with no problem, have been trying recently to have my car inspected but theyve been busy and I understand that, called yesterday and asked for an appointment and was told that its first come first served,I was in parking lot 25 mins prior to opening this morning, met manager at door at opening and were told he was to busy, I could leave it or he could do it tomorrow first thing, no other customers in sight this morning????

I came here because it is a convenient walk to pick up the vehicle and dont need to drag the kids with me, after the inspection would be done.MAJOR MISTAKE. I failed inspection because the headlights were out of adjustment. Same excuse they used last year to fail my vehicle.They also said I needed a tie rod and a wheel alignment, that was a extra $330.00 for that. $270.00 for labor out of that. Ridiculous pricing for the labor. Well... Lesson learned.Never again will I get robbed for trying to inspect my car for convenience. You have lost this customer pepboys.

I went to the Robious area pep boys 2 days in a row trying to get my tires rotated and get a tire pressure monitor sensor, and could not get service because they were under staffed and claimed they couldnt get to it. So I took it to the other location on Midlothian Turnpike to see if they could do it. To my shock and surprise, they did not have a tpms in stock, and what really baffled me is that the manager claimed they couldnt program the one that they had to order to work in my vehicle, and told me that i had to take the car to the suzuki dealer to get them to program it. What kind of tire place operates like this?? I dont recommend this place...also while my tires were being rotated, somehow, a stud got broke while removing a tire...which has never happened until now. Very shady workmanship is what I sensed, but I could be wrong. Avoid this place if possible.

Do not shop at this location they use predatory and discriminatory practices against women do not shop at this PepboysMy girlfriend was involved in accident on the interstate and the end result was that her room was broken after visiting a local tire place he informed her that she would have to go somewhere else to get a rim she came to this Pep Boys location and talk to an associate named George during the conversation George continually tried to pressure her into getting for new rims versus just one rim the final straw was after she said she could only afford one Rim George said the following even though the rims are the same size if you dont get the same brand of rims it will mess up your suspension I highly recommend you get for brand new rims as it will cause you more problems down the roadLuckily my girlfriend knew she was being scammed and left immediately after telling me of this story I immediately followed up with management who basically told me to kick rocks because they could not help me after reaching out to their corporate office I was funneled again back to the store and promised a phone call back after initially talking to the service manager who during the conversation dismissed my concerns after two weeks I have not received any kind of contact again from any other manager so I assumed that this issue was brushed under the rug but please if you value your money and value customer service do not shop here they know that theyre using predatory practices and do not care as long as they make profit please please go somewhere else.

I was there 6 hours even with an appointment. The mechanic took my car on a joy ride around the parking lot, and when it was over it still wasnt fixed. They also increased the price above the work order I signed off on.
