Delightful time. Stopped in on a road trip. Got an iced oat milk matcha and vegan avocado toast. Gal working was so kind and gave me some great local suggestions. Cozy atmosphere with lots of outlets so was able to get some work done!

Refreshing coffee shop with huge upstairs area to visit, play chess, and enjoy excellent coffee in Provo. They even make their own almond milk. Delicious caramel macchiato and avocado toast with a balsamic glaze!

Wonderful and friendly hole in the wall coffee shop just a block from the Provo frontrunner station. Inconspicuously placed away from the street. Great quality cold brew. Strong and a bit bitter but not too much so, not too sour like some are. The iced latte and avocado toast were good also.

Stopped into this gem while on a road trip, luckily my hotel was super close, so I chose without a lot of thought. The coffee was great, the avocado toast was great. The people working there were a delight, and a nice man came in with a sweet puppy that I got to hang out with. What more can you ask for?

Just like everyone has said, this place is incredibly cool. Old industrial work space of some kind. Lots of cool decorations and a chill feel to it. Get the avocado toast with extra balsalmic, you wont be sorry. One of the tastiest things I have ever tried.

Amazing experience at Rugged Grounds! I was in town for a work conference this weekend and stopped for coffee and avocado toast 3x! Barista was incredibly friendly and coffee was delicious. Highly recommend!

This is the best coffee in Provo, served in a beautiful, unique atmosphere. So much attention to detail and one-of-a-kind creativity in this establishment. Absolutely worth checking out! This will be my go-to place whenever Im in town. Fabulous! Highly recommend!

Wish I had taken pics but was a really quick decision to stop here. Cool hip coffee shop. Really cozy vibe inside but not the nicest area of Provo. As if there is a bad part of Provo. The barista was very friendly and also gave me a great recommendation for a bakery to go to. The cold brew was really delicious.

Their avocado toast is worth going just for that alone. So so good. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of coffee and the vibe of this place. The second level is beyond dope, with lots of inviting eclectic decor and space to sit and enjoy your coffee. Highly recommend.

Had the best espresso we found in Utah. Smooth dark roast, milk perfectly prepared for traditional cappuccino, not too hot or too dry as others we tried were. Nice welcoming atmosphere and barista.

Seriously, the coolest coffee shop Ive ever been to! The eclectic antique deco paired with the amazing coffee (they had my favorite kind (honey cinnamon..or the Box Car) that Ive only ever found in Southern California where Im from.You are free to explore the many rooms and even stage area where they play live music from local bands at the venue, and every room is a sight that needs to be seen.

Great atmosphere along with a great coffee and tea selection. I really enjoyed their ice coffee along with their avocado toast. The avocado toast came on a nice thick slice of bread and was seasoned very well. Really loved the rustic relaxing atmosphere as well. Very unique knick knacks to visually digest while you physically divest their toast.

If you are looking for a cute quaint place stop here! Not your Starbucks variety place and why would you want it to be? Its so much better. I loved the pour over coffee and added a hint of honey and vanilla. Enjoyed the avocado toast decorated with chia and sesame. Watched a game of chess. Enjoyed the resident cat. Ill be back. Soon!

Went here last Thursday for a cup of coffee. Skylar and his staff were amazing, kind, and eager to talk to me and give advice on what to check out in Provo. The coffee was really good and I found out they are expanding their shop to do in house roasting as well as bringing live music to the upstairs.They keep the place clean and tidy, but if has a homey down to earth rugged feel to it as well. I plan on coming here every week for my coffee treat.

We had a great time here. Avocado toast and maple hot cocoa were delicious. Decoration is hipster and a man was telling me about his morning yoga practice in the room next door. We played chess while waiting. Only suggestions: 1. offer more food items 2. They had many local specialty drinks with names they had created, however, they did not have descriptions next to the names. We had to ask about every drink we were interested in. Would of preferred to of just read a description.

This coffee shop is so cosy. The Baristas are super friendly. The coffee is robust and aromatic. The environment here is perfect to read a book and enjoy a hot cup of joe.

I got the avocado toast and it was amazing. Plus, the service was excellent and the location was quite cute. I’ll definitely be coming back. Fair substitute for the old coffee pod.

Went there because of the reviews on the AVOCADO TOAST! It did not disappoint, love the crunch and thickness of the bread. The fresh avacado and the combination of balsamic vinegar with seasonings on top was the perfect flavor!!! Also ordered the BOXCAR coffee. Barista recommended, it was smooth and light, yum! Hubby loved the cold brew!!Took my 15 year old with us who cant wait to drive so she can hang out upstairs surrounded by the vintage feel with friends or doing homework.Thank you for making our first experience enjoyable!

Eclectic coffee shop! So unique and fun. Coffee and service was excellent! Must see upstairs.

The whole building has a Bohemian and gypsy Kind of ambience. The coffee is fantastic and fresh roasted, they also have cappuccino and Latte with olive the accoutrements. They also have live music in the back as well as karaoke on Wednesday nights. And walking into every distinctive room gives a feel of walking back into a rugged, lived in, grandmothers attic kind of feel. They have antique typewriters and all sorts of luggage as decorating flares. It may sound odd, but this place is so much more than that. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good cup of coffee and a place to relax. Also, including karaoke they also have poetry readings and live bands, plays, yoga and all sorts of other things. It truly is a fantastic place.

I don’t know if the guy working was just having an off day or what, but my husband and I just left with the worst coffee we’ve ever had. We instantly had to chew gum to get the taste out of our mouths... just wasted $13.

I have never written a review for anything before, but this place has gone above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable. The coffee is the best Ive ever had (and I was a barista!), the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Its a nice break from the overall attitude of the university. I come here to escape the stuffiness Ive experienced at school, and the place never fails to rejuvenate my spirits. I want to thank the excellent staff and kind customers for a good summer. I would recommend anyone come here.

Oh, how I miss Rugged Grounds! I went here nearly every day for the couple months I spent in Provo. The prices are so reasonable and the staff is absolutely incredible. They definitely need more seating, but I usually didnt have a problem snagging a table. To this day, I think they have the best cappuccinos Ive ever tasted. They managed to foam soy milk masterfully, unlike the vast majority of shops Ive visited.

Great prices. Super chill ambiance. Definitely not one of those milkshake shops. They get their beans from a local grinder, so I got just a straight up pour over (my go to when trying out a new shop) of the roast the barista recommended. It was like $3 and some change for a 16 oz. Pretty good flavor, but not too much of it. Mellow, nice acidity, slight citrus undertones. Actually really good fit for an overcast spring day. Ill definitely be going back, but probably for something a little more robust.

We love finding unlikely coffee houses in even more unlikely places. Near the railroad station in an old industrial neighborhood of Provo where more buildings are abandoned than occupied, this former sawmill had a great vibe, authentic people and great coffee. I got the Provo Smog - a London Fog with a shot of espresso.

Every aspect of this little shop is unique and you can tell how much the owners put there heart into this place. I really love The Rustic look that rugged grounds has. Although, I did not get greeted when I walked through the door and had to wait about 5 minutes before my order was taken. The coffee had a great taste and you can tell that it was a good quality! YUM!!
