Ive used MJ Automotive for years and theyve always steered me straight and been true to their word. Theyve worked on my Honda and Toyota, found me new wheels when Honda stopped making the ones I needed, replaced my tires, fixed gaskets, replaced an oil pan, and just about every other routine maintenance I cant do myself. They go the extra mile on their service, and always a fair price. If youre a AAA member, ask about the discount. I wont go anywhere else!

Took my outback to a dealer shop twice for excessive road noise (figured bearing issue). Dealer claimed tire wear. I called MJ for a second opinion and although they were completely booked they still made time to take a look at my car same day. They assessed the problem thoroughly, rotated the tires, and confirmed it is likely a bearing issue. Because my car is under warranty I have to take it to a dealer shop to get the fix covered. MJ recommend a dealer I should take it to and charged me nothing for their assessment/work. Great people and business (you don’t often find a business like this anymore). Will definitely be using MJ in the future when my warranty is up.

AAA sent me to MJ 3 years ago and Ive been thankful ever since. They repair the right thing and only that thing. Ive compared prices and Ive never felt overcharged. Its rare to be able to completely trust an auto shop. I trust these guys 100% and will never go anywhere else.

I have known Mike a very long time. He is an honest and reasonable business owner and mechanic. I had my vehicle at MJ Automotive two different times for a variety of issues. We have been using MJ for years, since they were in Brookline. This shop is exceptionally professional and honest, and they are upfront about what needs to be done and what it will cost. They communicate with the customer often. Just great people to do business with.

I didn’t have a mechanic in the area but I read reviews online about MJ’s and decided to call about a leak in my tire. Despite them being extremely busy, they were able to fix my car the same day I called within 30 minutes! It’s hard to find a trustworthy mechanic so I definitely will be ONLY going to MJ’s in the future!

I’ve been a customer of M and J for the past 7 years and they always have been excellent to me in the sense that they are honest, prompt and never had any problems with the service that they have performed.

I have a luxury vehicle that is starting to have some minor issues here and there. Until recently I didn’t trust anyone but the dealership for big issues. He quoted me a price to fix a major issue that was nearly half of the dealership price and the quality of the repairs was better. I get personalized service that is timely. He’s earned my business from here on out.

I had my car towed into the repair facility after it broke down I contacted MJ Automotive and asked if I could send my car in to get looked at and repaired The guy Chris was very honest about the timing he could work on my car I told him I found the shop on the AAA Website because I am a member and was supposed to receive a 10% discount and I never received it also I was told that he would call my warranty company to see if the work would be covered he never called he told me if I paid the $485 upfront I should get reimbursement from the warranty company so I took money out of my Savings account for a Headstone for my Deceased Daughters father and figured I get the money to get the car fixed so I can drive my car out of town and go to Gravesite to pay for the headstone and to add a poem to it I figured since I get the money back to put back in my savings and I never got a call from the Mechanic at the Shop But I guess that’s how it goes once money is put in someone’s hands everything changes but I can say they did good work and speedy time frame and had the part I needed there already to be installed

I have been a customer of MJ for 4 or 5 years now. Im one of those people who isnt the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to ways of the automobile, what can I say?Therefore, I rely on others to be smart on my behalf when it comes to my car. The guys at MJ are brilliant. I also have a strong need to work with a garage I can trust, as too often I have been taken advantage of due to my lack of car knowledge. MJ passes this test with flying colors. High level of integrity.When I first started taking my car to them, I did a good deal of comparing their prices to other peoples prices. I even told a mechanic friend of the work they did, and what they charged me. He told me I got a great deal. This has happened several times, that I have discovered they treated me right.At this stage, I dont even think about it, I know they will do me right. This is a freeing sensation, as its great to know they have your back. MJ Autos customer care specialist, (okay, he might be just the guy who answers the phone!), has done me right every time. He has great communication skills, will explain clearly what needs to be done and why, and he is always great on the follow-through. These folks are amazing. Knowing the shop is going to treat me right, not having to wonder and cross research the job just in case, well, it allows me to devote my energy towards matters that I am smart about! Truly the best. The people at MJ are reliable & respectful. Service is explained in laymans terms prior to the work being done. I never feel ripped off, they dont suggest anything that is unnecessary, and weve never had any surprises when its time to pay the bill. I always feel confident the work has been done well. They did work on my tacoma’s brakes and rotors without freeing the calipers. Now I need to replace everything including rotors again 2 years later.Update: M&J owner called me right after I posted the review. Rather than accept responsibility for the their brake work, they claim it wasn’t their fault. I’m not a mechanic but i won’t go back to a garage that only does break work that only lasts 2.5 years. I need another break repair 2.5 years later that’s now an $800 break repair but they claim they stand by their repair? Current mechanic says the last break work I had done didn’t address calipers at all.

I went to get the plastic underneath my car screwed back up because it was hanging down. A gentleman went off of lunch early to do it for me and then they didnt ask me to pay for the labor or screws. Not having an appointment and having them fix it right away was very convenient for me and I will be returning for anything needed for my car in the future. Highly recommend them. Such kind people, with a nice place.

We required a custom hitch installation and we were on a tight budget, Mike Wega, Dave and Sam worked with us to engineer a solution and install our hitch. Service was timely. . I love them!!! I drove over the weekend with out heat in my car. today I took it there an hour I was out with heat. I would recommend them to any one who is looking for an honest and fair garage. I have been dealing with Mike for 15 years. He is an honest business owner doing honest work.

Have been coming here for years. They are trustworthy with reasonable prices. The shop is clean and maintaining Covid procedures. It is a place you can leave your car for service and not worry.

Its unfortunate I have to leave a review this bad. But if your looking to get service done by these guys in the same calendar year you drop off your vehicle. Im sorry to inform you your expectations are way beyond what they are capable of delivering. If you can leave you vehicle with them with no expected completion date then they are for you.

Ive never had a mechanic as honest as Mike. In my last visit, they recognized the type of muffler I had, figured it was under warranty, looked it up, and got a free replacement for me. They go above and beyond to explain the problem so you understand the possible costs as they uncover the solution.

After being told by a dealership that i needed $1,000 worth of repairs to my brakes, it was recommended to me that I take my car to MJ Automotive to get some honest feedback - and thats exactly what I got. No one tried to BS me, scare me, or confuse me. Im so glad I followed the recommendation - Mike and Pam were great throughout the whole process.the only thing that makes me take away a star is their timing. i’ve dropped my car off for 2 days and no work has been done, even when i’ve called to ask for updates/remind them about my car. just make sure you’re crystal clear when you need your vehicle :))

This place is awesome. They saved my husbands life earlier this week. Our truck started having problems while he was on the way to work and this was his first time coming here. Theyre a little isolated so he was really worried about having to leave the truck and take an Uber to work and then pick it up later. They seemed really busy so he assumed it would take a long time before anyone would be able to get to him. To his surprise, a mechanic came by 10-15 minutes later and stopped what they were doing to take a look at the truck. They had him back on the road in another 15-20 minutes (a total visit of half an hour) making him only an hour late for work. All of the staff were really polite and professional. We cant say enough good things about this place. Well be coming back here for all of our automotive needs from now on.

Honest Auto MechanicMy husband had what we thought was a transmission issue but it ended up being a $200 fix. They could have easily charged us $4k for a new transmission.

It was the last day in my inspection period. I had made an appointment at Wright Automotive in Carnegie, where I had always taken my Pontiac. When I got there, I had found they had moved to Wexford and hadnt mentioned it on the phone. I didnt want to drive all the way out there, so I stopped at MJ Automotive. Mike fit me in and I got my car inspected that day. His prices were very fair and you can be sure, I will be back..
