I came in for a simple tire repair but they tried to talk me into buying a new set, citing some bogus reasons. They must have thought I knew nothing about tires. Their prices are high relatively to the near by shops. They also tend to tell you things that turn out to be false. Not a place Id recommend to my friends.

Would not recommend coming into this establishment if you are a woman and you are alone. They will prey on your ignorance, and inflate prices. When I questioned the gentleman about it he denied it, then i caught him speaking poorly about me outside to another worker because i questioned the additional $40s just to patch my tire??? He denied it when i approached him, even though i literally saw and heard him do it. Very shifty place.

I gave them one star cause i think they’re good people. Good price but poor quality of work. Bought new rims and tires Had them realigned and balance but the result was not what i expected from all the good reviews that they have. I ended up going to another tire shop to get them fixed. My opinion is if you want quality avoid this place.

Hands down the most honest and trustworthy place to bring your carIve been taking my cars my familys cars and all of my friends cars to this place for almost 10 years now I refuse to take them anywhere else this is the only shop I trust every single employee actually cares about cars and treats your car as if its their carTheir prices are beyond Fair theyve actually been the lowest Ive experienced before I found this place I was getting gouged at other shops that werent even doing good work and would scratch the paint on my rims and overcharge for a simple service work but this kind of stuff doesnt happen at island tires I bring very expensive wheels and tires to have put on my cars and they treat them with care they let me watch and help and its just a good fun time every time I I need to go in for servicingDont take your car anywhere else even if its not right next door to you its worth the drive to take your car tile and tires

THE BEST MECHANIC SHOP EVER . I have been to a few other mechanics, none that I ever fully trusted so I kept hopping around until I found this one. I just wanna say how much I love this shop! I will forever refer friends and family here. There’s just so much that I can say about this place but all I really have to say is I will never switch shops. Hands down the best people. I’ve gone here a handful of times and have always had a good experience. However, my latest visit was unfortunate. I brought my car in for a few repairs and none of the guys at the front desk were wearing masks—at a time when COVID is surging and LA County is facing another lockdown. It felt very unsafe and I don’t trust that my car would be taken care of in a covid-safe way even though the actual work they do is always great. Island Tire, please take covid seriously!

Highly recommend Island Tire & Service. I came in with a pending flat tire. The walls of the tires were cracked and bubbling. Island Tire people were very accommodating and helped me out with something to tide me over till a time that would be more convenient for me to replace all the tires at once. They gave me very inexpensive solution for the time. It was a wonderful help. I remain quite grateful for all their help that day.

My tire popped! This place was the only spot in Pasadena that carried my size (255/40 19) used and had my car ready to go in less than 30minutes. Jose is super friendly ans the entire place is friendly and very interesting art pieces!

Came in for new tires for my car. The staff was knowledgeable and showed me a wide range of options for my vehicle. Once we settled on a tire they ordered it and had it available for installation the next day. Service was fast and very professional. This place used to be great. Ive been bringing our cars here for years. I dont know what has changed but they completely suck now and seem to not care at all about their customers. My husband has been waiting for three months for them to order a part for his car. After two months of them saying itll take a month to arrive he showed up in person to find out they hadnt even ordered the part yet. They ordered it with him standing there and said it would take another month. My husband called after that third month was over and they hadnt ordered the part. Not sure why they lied when he was there. We had never had an issue before. Dont know whats changed, but NEVER going back.

I came to this place quickly because I heard from my smog check guy Gary( really nice man) that I had corrosion building up on my battery and if I dont get it fixed it might die.. so I went next door and saw an employee there named Danny which he quickly cleaned the corrosion building up on my car battery and did it at no cost. It was a simple fix he said.So nice that this place has really nice and genuine employees here that are willing to help. Definitely will be back in the future! Hard to find a company that really cares about their customers!To the manager/owner: thank you for hiring Danny! He will bring loyal customers and more business!

I take two cars here, a Nissan and a BMW. They provide excellent service and are very honest. Prices are fair and they do work pretty quickly. The lobby is comfortable and they provide water, coffee and cookies and have a TV you can watch while you wait.

Avoid at all cost! Go somewhere else!If there was a 0 star rating they are the ones who would deserve it, I went there for a minor coolant leak i have on my Tahoe, they took me in and changed a little cap that is attached to the radiator, took my money, just to my surprise that the leak was still there, 90 bucks for nothing ( 5 min. of work ).Went back so they can take a look at it twice just to get told that i need to leave my car there, not even took a look under the hood to see what is going on, I am done with them, they did not do a radiator pressure test after they fixed it and are very rude on the counter, these are the mechanics you want to avoid here in L.A. there is many bad ones and Island Tire & Service is one of them.You guys do not deserve better, thankfully it was only that and nothing bigger.

Nonetheless, mine is genuine and true...Got my 2005 Passat TDI back from a big service a few months ago and couldnt wait to put on new rubber and get her aligned. Bought Pirellis from TireRack then made an appointment with their highest rated authorized installer in my area - Island Tires Pasadena. All great. Low profile Pirellis plus Koni FSDs, fresh alignment - nice! I do most routine service myself, so a few days ago I set out to change the brake fluid and bleed each wheel caliper. Guess what? 3 wheels were missing one bolt each. Though extremely pissed, I calmly called stores manager. I claimed, if I rolled in that way, you would have told me... Also said that I was surprised they would let anyone roll like that considering the liability involved (I have had my Passat well up over 100 a few times since I left their shop!)...
