Both good and bad experiences here, more good than bad.I took my car to autosense in millersville who recommended a timing belt replacement, new brakes, and a few other things. Basically $2,000 repair on a 3500 car. Went to Honda man for a second opinion and they did the brakes for much less and said the belt was fine. They have saved money on other repairs in the past.They have also burned us a few times. We had ac issues. They fixed it for a nice chunk of change, and we then had more issues a few weeks later. We took the car back as were told they would make it right and cover the costs of the second fix. Two days later they say the car is ready and charged us another 400. I reminded them that they originally said they would cover the cost, which they acknowledged but changed their mind. As a regular customer, it was a major disappointment in service.

I have been going to them for about three years and even let them repair my car after someone hit me. I read the reviews and never questioned their care. Patrick is the biggest fraud of them all. Hes friendly and laid back. He never calls to give you updates, you have to call them repeatedly. They never told me what service or give me records on what was being done to my car. I took it to a much better autoshop today and they told me that the filters were full of dust and that is why my air condition smelled odd. They have gotten busier and sloppier. It took them two days to replace my windshield motor and I still had to go back as they ordered the wrong part. Buyer beware! Always ask questions and get documentation. Now I know.

Had my clutch and flywheel replaced. They did an exellent job and the turnaround time was incredible! I know a lot about cars and they knew more than the dealer! Also they charge very fair prices! Ive told multiple friends to take there cars to Patrick and his crew and all are very pleased with the service! I take my non- Honda cars to Honda Man as well.

I have a 1990 Honda Accord. I went to Hondamans simply based on their raving google reviews and I am so happy I did! Most companies wont even touch my car due to it being modified but Hondamans got it done within 8 hours from my walk-in (no scheduled appt.). All the men who greeted me were cordial and after giving me an expected rate of between $200-$500, the final bill was $280. Very pleased. Will return.

Hondamans is the best auto shop on the face of the Earth. For the cost of a couple of lunches, I got 1. an A/C problem diagnosed, 2. a window unjammed, 3. my power door locks fixed, and 4. a troublesome battery leakage problem fixed. They are consistently less expensive than any other auto shop. Most importantly, they are completely, 100% honest.

Highly recommended!I see why this shop has great reviews. My GFs accord was shaking when accelerating and so I took it up to Hondamans to get it checked out, they narrowed it down to the axles and got them replaced for a very reasonable price. On top of that they didnt even charge a diagnostic fee! Will be taking my Civic SI up there for maintenance work as well.

Hondamans are an awesome place to have your car serviced, especially if you drive a Honda or an Acura (they repair other cars too). They are very friendly and honest. The do not try to rip you off for unnecessary repairs regardless of whether they think that you know or not know how much you know about cars. They also provide you with options rather than going with the most expensive repair and take advantage of you (for example, problem A can be completely fixed for $$$ or you can spend $$ for a less sophisticated fix but your car will be as good for such and such period of time) and they can tell you how much they charge for everything rather than some places where their response would be you would have to bring your car here and I will tell you then. I can definitely say that I finally found mechanics that I can trust and recommend to other people.

If you have a Honda or Acura, and are no longer getting free service from the dealer, stop taking your car anywhere else. IMMEDIATELYThese guys know these cars inside and out, and are incredibly honest about what repairs you really need to make to keep your care in good running condition. Reliable and honest service. I needed to have service done for my car engine, as well as for my airbag. I was given a fairly good estimate for the repair of my car engine, and then I was told that as far as the air bag repair the warranty should cover it and I should take it directly to a Honda owned repair service. Im overwhelmed by the honesty of this place, which is very hard to find these days. Most places would probably charge me for the repair without letting me know that Honda should have it done for free.

I tried to get my brakes done after work one night at a chain shop and they said I needed front and rear rotors, front and rear pads, and rear calipers. They did me a favor because I brought it to Hondamans where I used to bring my other Honda (this one hasnt needed service.) Patrick called and said all I needed was rear pads. When I asked if he was sure thats all I needed, he said yes - I had a solid car. Made me very happy.This shop is the best. Its refreshing to have an honest mechanic! I will be sure to bring my CR-V back here anytime I need work!

I have read the reviews and I have heard all the good things my friends have told me, let me tell you they arent lying. I recently got an oil change at the College Park Honda Dealership and they told me I needed an additional $2000 in repairs and that the repairs are critical to my safety. I decided to take it to Hondamans, even though its a 40 minute drive from where I live. They took a look at the car and told me that the repairs werent necessary at all, they even let me look at the parts in question while my car was still on the lift! Then when I was getting ready to pay for the inspection they told me there was no charge for a simple inspection and also recommended a self service repair shop near by because I mentioned that I wanted to learn more about cars. The people that work there are so nice and truly care about you and your car. Hondamans is by far the best mechanic I have been to in my entire life and as long as I can actually drive my car there I will go nowhere else!

Patrick gave us the name of a reputable towing company, and had it billed to the shop. He fixed her car in one afternoon -- right before the 4th of July - which was important because she would have been stuck here without a car.Thank you to Patrick and his staff for continuing to treat my daughter well and ensure her car is safe and functional.

I haven’t been to a Honda dealership in years because I found him! I’m currently sitting at honda in Annapolis and I was told it would take an hour for the recall repair when I scheduled and I got here and was told it would take hours and to come back this afternoon. This experience at the dealership has given me a new appreciation for IAS. Ive been going to Hondamans for about 25 years - before John started Hondamans. Theyve always provided very good advice, troubleshooting results and quality service. In addition to never performing unneeded work, the prices are very good and Patrick does a great job juggling the backlog of jobs to get everyone in and out within the estimated timeframe. The one time when they misdiagnosed an issue and unnecessarily replaced parts, they refunded me completely for the parts and labor and then fixed the problem correctly! will continue to trust my cars to John and his capable staff!

Hondamans is the best mechanic if you in a Honda it Acura. Their mechanics know Hondas, yet are much cheaper than the dealer.We stores here on a whim about six years ago when we needed a new Hood for an old Honda Civic that got damaged from falling ice and snow from Snowmagedon. Hondamans gave us the lowest price by far to fix the damage.Weve used them multiple times since, always will before other mechanics. Even their oil changes are cheaper, $30 for regular and $45 for synthetic.The place is always very crowded, with a full parking lot and even using spaces from the place next door. But they are also quick fixing your car, especially with an appointment.The mechanics treat their customers well. They will review for simple problems without a charge. They will let you know what needs to be fixed now and what can wait an oil change or two.They particularly impressed me when they advised us that our car was not worth fixing. They could have fixed it for $3,000, but they takes us out of it due to age. Even if they just money by not doing it. Thats what you call putting the customer first!In the end we bought a Honda Odyssey, we considered other vehicles, but duck with Honda. The biggest reason we stuck with Honda was to keep using Hondamans. So, they are the only mechanic we will use.

I took in my 2008 Acura MDX for the 105K mile maintenance. They know exactly what they are doing and took care of everything that I needed. Honest and courteous... its tough to find that combination with auto services these days. I never felt pressured and they took the time to explain what needed to be done. Ill be bringing my Honda/Acura cars to these folks in the future.

The short version: $300 and didnt fix my heater problem. They said it was fixed but had a note on the receipt saying this was the 1st attempt due to the cars high mileage. When asked about the note, they said they were just covering themselves whatever that meant.Once the car warmed up, I realized the heat problem was not fixed but by then, the shop was closed. This shop is so far and inconvenient from my house but they got such glowing reviews I thought the inconvenience would be worth it for a job well done. Given my experience, I am amazed there arent more bad reviews. Beside the fact that the repair was not done, these guys did not call me back, were brusque/almost rude when i did call.I obviously wont be back

I have used the Hondaman for servicing my daughters 98 Accord and my sons 06 Civic. They are reliable, only do the work required and really provide top notch service at a very competitive price. I wish that they did VWs as well! :-)
