Great food...portions are way more than can feed 1 person... At least for pasta dishes anyway.... Great service.

As a vegan its important that diners have options for me. They really listen and dont use butter when theyre cooking my food. Also their veggie burger is delicious!

Manhattan Diner is a gem. The food is fresh, always of excellent quality. Chicken Souvlaki and Turkey Club are amazing.

I went here some years ago. It was an early morning experience after a long night. Having bacon, eggs with waffles, All of it was good and fresh. Flavorful. Staff were friendly and the prices were good too. This is a feel-good place that I have been going to for a while now. Youll be treated right.

Best diner I have ever visited. The place is nice and the service is stupendous. Food was delicious, amazing and just delightful and delicious. This is literally the best food I have most likely eaten outside and in a diner. I will keep on coming here.Prices are also very reasonable especially with the delicious food you get. Decided to try this diner because I had a bad experience with one closer to me. My daughter and I were greeted immediately and sat within 30 seconds of our arrival maybe even sooner. They bring water to your table within a minute of sitting you down then about a minute later the waiter comes to take your order. Being that it was my first time there I asked for 5 minutes to thoroughly examine the menu. Everything looked delicious. Ended up getting the quesadilla and multi grain pancakes with fruits for my daughter. Food was done to perfection and very delicious. Totally recommend, great atmosphere, delicious food, fast and friendly service. Prices are the average for a diner. Will return.

A bit of a hit and miss kind of place: weve had some nice food here, and others that were very disappointing. Worst was the chicken and waffles... It looked soooooooo sad. But the sandwiches are very nice. OK casual place to grab a quick bite.

This was the best Diner in our New York holidays! Because we are a quiet difficult group (veggies, vegans n stuff) its always hard to find something, where eveybodys gonna be happy. But here we had such a big variety of choices!Friendly stuff, good location and omg the cheesecake !! (best in NY)

Great option for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Usually they don’t serve breakfast on the hotels of Manhattan so this should be the best option around the middle part of central park (Upper West Side). Good food and amazing service! I highly recommend that!

I stopped by after a long run for blueberry pancakes with bacon and an espresso. The stack of pancakes was huge and tasty with perfectly cooked crispy bacon. My only gripe is that they served it with breakfast syrup (thats high fructose corn syrup junk). They gave me maple syrup without complaint when I asked, but really, in 2018 you shouldnt have to. The espresso was fine, but a little weak. Bar seating feels good, tables inside a little drab.

I spent $24 on french fries and eggs and coffee. It was a little bit of fries for the price I paid. My food was cold coffee was horrible. The price wasnt worth it and I was around the corner at the hotel. Im very disappointed. I wont be ordering again from you.

Small portions, they dont offer to refill your coffee / hot water for tea, you have to ask, no covid protocol.

First visit to this location was absolutely awesome. The older gentleman who greeted us was pleasant, attentive, food was quick and very good. The 2nd visit here was like the opposite of our initial visit. New younger crew and the greeting was stale, service delayed, food was old in taste and we waited for over 30 minutes to get the check after we finished eating. Granted we had to call our waiter for the check, but I sat there for 20 minutes with my credit card in my hand visible to the waited and greeter! Not sure we will return here. The place is one of the nicest looking restaurants on Broadway UWS.

The steak is pricey and the quality of meat was lacking. The eggs and the home fries were great.

Only a few outside tables so you may have a wait. Ours was 30.minites. my moms burger was cooked perfectly and fries were piping hot. My grilled cheese with bacon and tomato was delicious. My aunt had tuna fish on rye and eats here often. She said some of the best tuna fish salad in the area! Wait staff was pleasant and efficient. Food neighborhood place

Covid has definitely changed alot about indoor dining but Manhattan Diner is managing the change rather well. It is very clean, spaced seating, pre-wrapped utensils in bags, and the food is good. The wait staff was friendly but may need to practice more awareness and attention to detail.

This place is a classic. The ambiance and food are on point. They are also wonderfully accommodating when roll in with our kid—bringing drinks in cups with lids, etc. We live in the neighborhood, to us this is simply *the diner*—as in, lets go to the diner means were heading to Manhattan Diner.

Great staff. Split a half chicken dinner with a friend that filled us up! Healthy and delicious. Went back after a concert at Symphony Space for chocolate & rice pudding - huge portions & yum!

I was in search of good pancakes, and I found great ones here. Friendly and fast service, lovely spot to have a breakfast with a friend. Definitely would return for another window seat meal.

50 minutes for a take out delivery 5 short city blocks from the restaurant. It took so long that the lettuce in the Caesar salad had wilted into an unappealing mess and the croutons were soggy and inedible. Not the first time Ive been disappointed ordering from this joint. I would have given this sorry excuse for a diner zero stars but at least one was required. I cant think of any reason to order from Manhattan Diner again.

We ate there breakfast and late night coffee and cakes. Wonderful. Quality throughout. Friendly service. Fair prices.

Had a solo lunch here before hitting the gym and I have to say I really enjoyed eating here. It was comfortable and the service was responsive. I had a egg avacado wrap that was a monster and delicious. Definitely will eat here again when Im in the area.

Love this place. One of my favorite diners. When I go to Symphony Space or have my art shown at a nearby gallery, I eat here. There is a expansive menu, generally good service, clean and pleasant decor. The specials are reasonably priced and have free refills of coffee. I have been in eating establishments that charge for refills. This diner is also Wheelchair and Walker accessible. The other customers seem happy too.

Went to the diner and ordered food. He asked for one persons type of eggs and gave everyone else the same. Food came out in like 3 minutes, which was alarming. Food tasted like it came out in 3 minutes. Eggs were powder and the meat did not taste good. Server never came back to the table. Overall it was pretty pricey 70$ for 4 people. Quick in and out which some people might like, but definitely not worth the quality of food. Just go to McDonalds for fast food, as the quality of food is better (didnt think Id ever say that)

So I googled this place and stopped for a bite because they had pretty good stars. Was i disappointed! We were sat in the front booth by the cashier. Our order was taken immediately, fantastic (one star). After that, it was as if we did not exist. The food was brought to the table and the waiter never came to check on us again. The host was at the table behind us flirting with a customer, while my sister was waving for someone to come refill our water. (The owner had to come aid us). In addition, the pancakes were freshly made but tasted horrible! My daughter and I took one bite of them and were disgusted. I pushed the entire order to the side and the bus boy cleared it without asking if anything was wrong with the food. So i paid 27$ for a blt and fries....what a terrible experience. Maybe if you do not have kids or are a regular here you would have a better experience, but a never again for me!

Very nice relaxing atmosphere. Extensive menu selections as typical of a Greek diner at decent prices for the area.We had the open faced turkey with named potato and corn. The portion was huge. Mounds of moist white meat turkey covered in thick, tasty turkey gravy on a bread base. Good baked potato and decent corn for sides.Also, had the Popeye salad which consisted of bed of fresh spinach topped with tomatoes,cucumbers,roasted peppers,carrots,mushrooms and croutons. A side of excellent balsamic vinaigrette was served as well.The salad was very fresh and outstanding in flavor and textures.Service was friendly and quick.Great choice for diner style food in Upper West Side.

The food is good and is ready fast. The only problem was that one of the waiters was very rude, and we had a hard time getting the waiters attention so that we could order. In conclusion, the food is good, the service not so much..

I cant think of another restaurant that has better Matzo Ball soup! I think its almost excellent, and would be if they added parsley. They do accommodate me with chopped fresh parsley when I ask for it.

I just love this place! I leave in the bronx but my daughter goes to school around there. I have been in this dinner so many times because there food is just great.

Great Pancakes, good prices!

Very disappointed with this place. Ordered a cup of the clam chowder, which was the soup of the day and it was pretty good. Unfortunately the burger I ordered “The Manhattan Diner Burger” was a complete joke. Allegedly it comes with caramelized onions and a special sauce, but the ice cold onions were hidden under a slice of cheese glued to the bun with no sauce anywhere to be found. And though I ordered the burger medium rare, it came out pretty much raw. Thankfully for me I’m fine with extremely rare beef, so I was annoyed but not completely turned off. The beef seemed to be decent quality, but there was almost no seasoning at all. My friends got breakfast foods and they all seemed to enjoy themselves so maybe if you do decide to come breakfast is the way to go. I usually stick with a restaurants specialty, but thought I would be safe ordering the signature burgers. I was wrong. All of this would normally warrant a 3 star review because the food while not amazing certainly wasn’t 2 star. What knocks off the additional star was the completely terrible rude service we received. Rude waitress who rarely was even seen. Granted she was busy, but when she would come around was rude and short with us. Decor is nice, maybe only come if you are going for breakfast.
