It’s a busy place but they are very friendly and nice. And vegetables are very fresh and it’s very delicious. Their gyro was better than a greek restaurant that i’ve been before. 😅 and this place open 24/7 i think i went there like 12:00am-1:00am but they were open and there were people so it was very safe and nice.I recommend :)
Great spot. So glad I found it. Didnt hassle me about having my papers like all the nyc restaurants do these days. Great diner food prepared quickly. Exceptional prices for lower Manhattan
Great service. The food was excellent. An ideal diner for those who are looking to eat well and pay accesible prices.
I stopped in for a takeout dinner. I ordered the shrimp wrap with crabmeat. I am from Baltimore and I know crabmeat. The shrimp wrap didnt have any crabmeat near it. However, the shrimp was large compared to other places. I know its a diner but, you shouldnt advertise something that you dont have.
Was not good enough for how expensive it was. Good atmosphere though
Solid diner with solid diner selections. This place used to feel too crowded, but with Covid indoors now feels much more spacious! Plus they have a huge Covid shack now too.Same great food as before. Service is speedy, if somewhat chaotic. Just a gem of a diner that Im to see survived Covid and came out stronger on the other side
A good old neighborhood diner. Locals frequent this longstanding diner where you can get breakfast all day. It can be right inside so there is a cute little outdoor space for covid dining.
Option to add individual salmon to a salad resulted in some canned fish which was 100% not salmon, and definitely not worth $8 (although I have nothing against canned fish)
Didnt have a lot of items listed on the menu. Plus they only had one guy waiting tables even though it was pretty full.Dont get the veggie burger.
Its a NYC diner with an expensive name. Food smelled great but was lacking in seasoning... Reuben Platter and Chicken Salad Club, Caprese. Service was nice and prompt though forgot some things asked for and received things we didnt ask for... Dont think Id be back unless really hungry... but there are a dozen places next to it that might be better... There are good diners in NYC though... If your into lighter seasoned food, perhaps is great. It was not by far the worst...
Great selection, food, and service! And, the location was easy to reach.
A true neighborhood staple. Great diner food. Great service and great prices. Best breakfast for your buck.
Great food and waiter services was excellent..place clean and prices affordable..only regrets are Covid Vaccine Card .before you can be let in...feels like immigration fingerprinting 👎💔👍thumbprint 🥰
This place was the shiznit. Everything you want in a New York diner. Open late or open early. Full breakfast menu any time of the day. I ordered the turkey club which was dry to my taste. I also ordered the eggs Benedict with turkey bacon which was spot on delicious. I actually went back for the Eggs Benedict they were so good.
We didnt come to this diner very often while Good Stuff was open, but I have to admit, the food is better here. Theyve done outdoor dining very well, especially since adding the additional seating in the street. (Though the heat lamps dont always work there.) Food arrives hot, and its tasty. The menu is enormous, so theres lots to choose from. The staff arent as attentive as they could be, but if you ask for what you need, it (usually) arrives.
Used to be the best 😢 We had to wait a long time to order, the food was greasy, flavorless and characterless. Totally disinterested waitstaff. Expensive to boot.
Great diner. VERY CONSISTENT AND FOOD IS FLAVORFUL!!!!
Hollywood diner has the BEST pancakes in New York. Light fluffy absolutely fantastic trust me there is no better. ihop doesn’t come close. You can try pancakes anywhere but trust me Hollywood diner’s pancakes will win the prize. Excellent❤️🏆🥇🥈🥉🏅🎖⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great food and great service as well I highly recommend it.
Sunday brunch, Ordered Eggs Benedict was so in the mood for that, what a disappointment, the hollandaise sauce was too thick no flavor and too orange in color. Was so disappointed that the mimosas was to watered down. The rest of my company said that it was an average and below. I can say a good thing about our waiter even though it was busy he stayed calm and collected. Sorry dont thing Ill go there again for brunch. 😕😞
Fast service, breakfast was great and the coffee was good!
Ordered drinks. Which took forever to come. There was an incident on Halloween night which was not handled well.
Always my first breakfast when in nyc … good food good portion size. Good coffee
Very good service. Food up to par.
Nice spot, the servers were friendly and the food was good.
Fast service and a great turkey blt sandwich.
Good food, efficient staff and a quick kitchen. But freezing temperature forced a quick lunch.
Overpriced for what you get. I had much better food in the village area of Manhattan.
My burger was perfect and the curly fries were crunchy
The food was fare, however, the staff went above and beyond with service. I appreciate people who do their jobs well. Thank you
Great place to eat! Accomodations for outside seating as well as selected inside seating during pandemic. Food is good. Have been patronizing for years.
Horrible! Food was ice-cold, and delivery person brought it to wrong apt and got into a fight w neighbor, insisting that they ordered the meal. Even if it was warm and delivered properly, it was inedible eggplant parm. Never had a worse meal.
This diner was okay, food was abit bland and service could be better. Needed food- expected more, not terrible.
To me its just like a movie critic who downgrades Fast and Furious Six because it didnt have a stronger romantic storyline. One look at this place either on anyone of the numerous apps or in person and you should immediately pick up that this place is a diner! When I looked at all the other area breakfast and brunch options I could tell the food would be more artisan than functional. More of an culinary experience than just a meal.I was expecting diner quality food, lets say, something like 1.5 steps above Dennys or IHOP (IHOB.maybe now) you know what; I got exactly what I was expecting. They greated me as soon as I came in.They noticed when my coffee was low and filled it. They noticed my table was sticky and they fixed it. They handled my special order variance to my brunch, spot on.It was also fun to see the number of pick up - To Go orders that were cranked out of this place. Both third party food delivery services and plain old normal folk coming in to pick up an order to go.So...to all those two star reviewers I say What were you expecting when you were presented with the visual evidence of the place and where did it deliver something....less?I felt very comfortable sitting here in my shorts and tennis shoes and looking at many other of the options in the area Im not sure I would have felt they same at anyone of the others
Good diner food at a decent price.
The burger is vey good, juicy and lean.
I’ve stopped here a few time, when I come to town, and I can honestly say that I’ve never been disappointed.Everything from the service to the actual meal has been on point and what I would expect from any diner or restaurant.I definitely recommend stopping by if and when you are in town.
Friendly staff, great food, ac was totally welcome.
Me and my wife have been eating here for over 20 years. Still love this place.
Sandwich was soggy and fatty, BUT it did have amazing flavor. Service was good, nice to have them open past 9pm too
Im awed a diner can still operate in Manhattan with the pandemic restrictions in place. They still offer a full menu, we sat outside, in a tented area, a little disconcerting due to the proximity of the adjacent bus 🚌 lane and heavy flow of traffic. But my Corona beau and I had a delightful meal. He went full diner, hamburger, onion rings and Vanilla milk shake. My choices baked potato, with cheese and bacon and a side of big plate of broccoli 🥦. Was just what I was craving. Staff was both friendly and super efficient. Perfect Sunday afternoon meal. Was still full that evening, I didnt need to eat dinner.
Very friendly staff and the spaghetti and meats was amazing need to stop by there more often when I can
I love this restaurant
Love their breakfast, mainly the French toast. It had flavor and wasnt dry or too thick. Will try them out for lunch. Great place and reasonable prices.
Food is always reliable, staff is friendly, and their outdoor space is both heated, while at the same time open enough to allow fresh air flow.
A little less exciting than years back but so am i
The prices are too high for very basic food.
Hollywood is a basic go-to Diner on Sixth Avenue in Chelsea. The food is fine and the service is adequate.
Dropped in on Mon I think. The service here is attentive. The place has a cool atmosphere.
Good food n service.
Wait for order too long and it was not crowded.....
Back of kitchen just NASTII
Good diner with diner style food
Had a nice (very late) breakfast at Hollywood Diner. Sat outside. Good food. Good coffee. Good service despite the humidity.
It was an average neighborhood diner
Love this diner! The food is very delicious here. Atmosphere is also very nice & has a beautiful ambience. Can get crowded but on weekday afternoons it’s not that bad. Prices are good depending on what you order! Will come again!
Good food and service. Pricey though and it’s not for any extra bells or whistles. This place gets really really packed because of the neighborhood and it’s popularity. But I definitely recommend it if you are there and some booths are open. Serves alcohol as well (but limited)
They add unexpected surcharge if you pay by credit card.
Classic diner feel with an updated menu. Efficient service. Observed personnel to be open minded, diverse and welcoming to all Customers. A very welcome quality indeed. The food was good.
Great as usual for years
Been eating here for over 30 years. Food is more than decent, huge portions and the best pea soup in town. (Thursdays only)Prices are a little high for a diner, but the rents in our neighborhood are insane.I love watching how they take care of their elderly customers and parents with kids...tons of patience.Regulars and strangers alike are treated like family. What more could you ask for?
I LOVE HOLLYWOOD DINER - such a great local and never let me down!
Very nice place and good food. I was just walking in the area and saw the tables outside, very impressive.
Liked it alot. Food was good. The only thing is that there are a lot of homeless people in the area so its uncomfortable.
The pasta in this place is bussin
Highly appreciated
Manager was always kind, the environment always look great and perfect. Their services are always fast, effective and perfect. Is a very positive environment to be. They deserve every single penny spend on them.
Poor service. Awful food presentation. Overpriced for tasteless food.
Staff was ok...food blah and cold..even coffee was luke warm...Doubt Ill return even trying to support businesses during this time
Amazing service and awesome food. It is all well served and really quick. Price is really fine and the environment is very original. I strongly recommend for quick breakfast, brunch or late dinner. The quantity and quality is superb. I strongly recommend it!
Little gem in NYC. Love this place. Everytime I get to NYC I always come by for great food, people and service. Its a must-visit place.
Not awful, but average. Nice waitstsff. Pricey for the fare and quality.
Always reluable
Excellent for a late night snack. Menu is huge, they have something for everyone. Decent price and great service. Everything we ordered was great. Would definitely come again.
Great food. Greek owned and run. This review from a Greek family.
It was an ok place didnt really get a warm welcome from the server wasnt to crazy about my food
Great
Stopped in with some friends for a late night drink/snack. I had their margarita and french fries; both were great and reasonably priced (one of the best margaritas for that price Ive had in Manhattan). They accommodated a larger group and split our checks without a problem. The space was cute and I would definitely go back to check out more of their options.
This diner use to be so pack. Due to COVID its sad to see it empty.
Great customer service and the food is very tasty
Visited during a really busy time in NYC abc this place was slammed. The staff did their best to get my sizable party in as quickly as they could. We had to move around which caused some confusion between staff and maybe a little attitude. I had a salad, it was great. There were a couple guys in my group that ordered burgers and were literally given a patty on a bun with no lettuce or tomato (had to be ordered separately I guess??!!) Which is why Im giving 3 stars.
Awesome menu, very reasonable prices and amazing service. The food is great and the service staff is very nice.
