LOVEEE Milkbar! They have some of the best treats (we especially love their truffles). We stopped by to try their seasonal Apple cider donut cake (we got a slice) and Apple cider donut truffles. Both were really good (I personally like the cake more, but it was very close). This is probably of my favs along with their original birthday cake flavor. This store location is a bit smaller than others, but they still had a decent amount of goodies here.Pros:- Decent storefront size- A good variety of milkbar products (cakes, cookies, truffles, etc)- Nice location to pick up some things then head to the park and enjoy!Cons:- Line is likely to be long during busy hours as the store is small and not many people working at the time- No outdoor or indoor seatingIf this is your first time, try their truffles and a cookie or two! You can’t go wrong (unless you don’t like sweets and were dragged here by one of your sweet-toothed friends)Wish there was an UES location :/

We went here because we had heard rave reviews. We got the chocolate birthday cake and it was fine. It was $10 and I guess that is reasonable for the reputation and location. Service was not bad but also not really friendly. It was totally fine but not five stars and did not live up to its reputation as amazzzzzing.

Five stars for the Crack Pie and Birthday Cake, they absolutely lived up to the hype!unfortunately, the team member behind the counter created a negative experience with her poor attitude and obvious contempt for her job. while we did enjoy our treats, i cannot recommend this location as the lack of hospitality ruined the overall experience.

Last night was my last time in any Milk bar. I ordered a pint of cerealmilk icecream and water (I was the only customer in the store), employee who took my order shouted to the other employee can you get up and help me with this order the other employee shouted back cant you get it yourself the conversation kept going between them shouting at eachother. If it happened before I paid I wouldnt purchase anything it was so uncomfortable and disgusting. Unfortunately, prior experience with a different location wasnt pleasant either. I am questioning if they are training their employees to be specifically rude and unprofessional. Zero professionalism and zero hospitality. I think it is a good call they started mass production, they should definitely only focus on selling products in grocery stores.

The past 2 times I ordered, my cake slices were STALE. It makes me so sad because my first few Milk Bar experiences ordering full sized cakes were good. I wonder if they use their older cakes to prepare the slices.....I also ordered the soft serve swirl. The strawberry flavor was super artificial but the cereal milk was as good as usual. I ordered through GrubHub delivery and it came very melted so I highly suggest only getting the soft serve in person.Im going to give this place one more try for the cakes and if they ruin my friends birthday, sadly I wont be going back.

It is good but not the best. I like Insomnia cookies way better. The milkshake (chocolate birthday I believe) was not good at all. The confetti cookie was my favorite from all the cookies (got one of each). The strawberry shortcake truffles were ok. The red velvet truffles they had (seasonal) were the best. Ill go back when the red velvet truffles are back or if I am really craving the confetti cookie. Definitely not a place I would care to go back though.

Just not worth it.This place is sad. I went here because I know it was Christina Rosies store but wow was it bad.First, the foods flavor was not to the level I expected. I was better off at the local bakery. Tried like 15 different things between me and my friends but hey, maybe it was not my cup of tea.Second, presentation is awful. Nothing looked appetizing and everything is pre-packaged in this old looking plastic like its 20 years old. Like really? The least you could do was make it look cute.Third, even the store was not pretty. It was pretty small and boring. If this is the fancy standard Christina Tosie has being a judge at master chef, then wow. I really dont want to go to any of these famous chef restaurants and bakeries. The only thing I somewhat liked was their Birthday Truffles but again the presentation was awful. There are sooo many bakers with cuter things to purchase.

Everything was beautifully crafted from the food to the store decor. I really looked forward to the experience but the food quite didn’t live up to the hype for me. Milk Bar is a classic NY staple that always satisfies your sweets craving. However, at this particular location the hospitality by the staff was mediocre at best, kind of pulling away from the experience. Not that anyone was specifically rude, rather acted in such a way that was almost uninviting. Still, you come here primarily the sweets rather than the service

I finally made a visit here (after loving Christina Tosi’s episode on Chef’s Table) and unfortunately left pretty underwhelmed. The counter service was not welcoming or that enthusiastic. I had the cereal milk/cookie soft serve with corn flake topping and it tasted like...pure salt. I normally can appreciate the balance of sweet and savoury, but this was just way too much, especially when I had a craving for a DESSERT. Great decision.I hadn’t heard of this place before, so I was kinda surprised by the cereal ice cream. My wife had the cookie compost shake. They were both salty-sweet. That caught me off guard given how sickly sweet the cakes looked. I thought the crunchy cornflakes and ice cream went together perfectly. Salty sweet, crunchy smooth, dry wet. Tasty. So we were desperate for ice cream on an excessively hot day. I thought my daughter would take anything frosty and sweet. All she wanted was vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles. And I would take anything tasty and cool after we had walked 4 or 5 blocks in 95°F heat. However, when they offered a sample for us to try of their standard base - the cereal milk flavor - both my daughter and I felt instant revulsion. I didnt say anything in case she liked it, but she was even more grossed out than I was. We practically ran out of there, and tossed the mostly full sample in the trash at the corner. Is it always like this? Slightly sour and oddly pungent? We eat a lot of cereal at home and the milk tastes absolutely delicious after even our most healthy cereals are eaten. This ice cream did not taste like cereal milk. It tasted like sour/spoiled milk that should not have been used to make cereal in the first place. I only gave it two stars because we didnt try anything else and the cookies I have had as gifts (the last one about four years ago) were pretty tasty if a little overwhelmed with stuff.
