Such a good local spot for authentic gelato! I stop here every time my parents are in town - assuming the weather permits. They have a wide variety of flavors, all of which I’ve enjoyed so far! At this point, my favorite flavor is the mint chocolate chip. It was refreshing and a bit lighter than the other flavors. You should 100% stop by Caffè Panna if you have the chance, but beware, there may be a long line!

Absolutely amazing ice cream and mind-blowing flavors with great portions at decent prices, and ample outdoor seating to enjoy them.This is the place to go if you want to try out ice cream flavors that sound weird but end up tasting insanely good. I had the Basil ice cream with Blueberry swirl and the Malted ranger both of which were rich in flavor but not overpowering, with a creamy rich feel on the tongue.Their tiny size is not tiny by any means and is bigger than a regular scoop from most shops.You additionally get free Panna(Italian whipped cream), one topping and one drizzle for free with your ice cream.They also sell pints, always have a daily special and have their flagship affogato.The flavors changing daily ensures that you will never get bored of this place and always have a fun time.

I had the medium sized red flag and pistachio with oreo crumbles. The red flag was delicious and a great pick for summer. Only giving four stars instead of five because they forgot my order and I had to wait an extra ten minutes (after waiting in a long line to place my order to begin with).

I don’t know how anyone can leave less than 5 stars for this place. It’s absolutely amazing. Honestly the best ice cream I ever had. We got the straciettela ices cream with the red flag, and tiramisu with graham cracker and Oreo brittle topping. It’s so filling but so delicious. I think this is the best thing that has happened in New York. If you love ice cream or just looking for some dessert, please go here you won’t regret a dime of what you pAid for.

Delicious gelato and panna (italian whipped cream) at this cute little ice cream store on a gorgeous corner in gramercy. You order at the window and there is plenty of seating outside. The staff is very nice and there tends to be a line so definitely come on the earlier side or prepare to wait. They have daily flavors listed on their website but release them affogato/ sundae of the day and specials on their Instagram stories. They’re unfortunately closing for a few months for renovations so this is their last weekend open for the seasonLoved their seasonal pumpkin

Finally, finally came to this place. It was WORTH to visit and a must! They make vanilla ice cream with fresh vanilla bean which is the perfect choice to serve with a shot of espresso as affogato. The special flavor ube (purple sweet potato) we got was also delicious. Wonderful ice cream and I will definitely come back again. Plus, the staff was super sweet and nice.

I have been here almost once a week for 4 months and everything is stunning. It really is amazing, you can’t go wrong with anything, I hate chocolate ice-cream but here it’s a different story. Just come you won’t regret it!

It is a very substantial small scoop! I cant handle it myself hehe.Vegan Chocolate sorbet with Panna on top dirzzled with caramels and topped with oreo and graham crackers crunches! The sorbet was really delicious and rich, a bit too sweet for me. The panna is so fresh and creamy with a gentle touch of sweetness. Staff were very friendly and patient. Will try other flavors for sure!

The quaintest gelateria located right in the heart of Gramercy. All the gelato is made on site and every day they have a new special. It is the creamiest gelato in the city and located on the quietest most picturesque street. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays and you are better off going earlier in the day because they run out of flavors later in the evening. My favorite flavor is the cookies ‘n panna definitely get some of the creamy panna and salted caramel on top!!

Been wanting to come here since they opened. It was excellent! Cute little cafe like we would see in Italy with the walk up bar to stand and enjoy your espresso. But obviously the main attraction is the gelato and it was fantastic. I got the special affogato of the day sundae with 2 scoops. Was afraid it was going to be too much but I gobbled it all up. It ate very light and refreshing. The workers were also super nice and helpful. Offering samples and giving recommendations on what to try. Made for a very enjoyable experience. Also got a choc chip cookie to go which was excellent as well. The red flag ice cream is a must try but if your dairy free, their sorbet option is also fantastic!

WOW. Their gelato is scrumptious! Visited on a Thursday night and the line was long, but was moving along quickly. Check their Instagram stories for the menu since it changes daily. Their special sundae of the day was incredible.

As someone who takes Ice cream seriously, Caffè Panna has become one of my favorite Ice cream parlors. What I enjoy most is their ability to stay creative by introducing new flavors regularly. Although Red Flag is my go to, I always end up purchasing another flavor to try. Also, try an affogato. You will thank me later.Whatever flavor you get, you will notice their high-quality ingredients and freshly churned ice cream makes all the difference. As for the space; I can’t wait for COVID to be behind us. I miss enjoying shared scopes with close friends and family in their spacious and clean storefront, with friendly staff members.

I have been in NY the whole week. I have been eating having ice cream almost every night at different places, and OM, this is the BEST!!! it was so creamy and full of flavor, and the best part, it was huge!!

Had coffee and a biscotti. Biscotti was excellent, the coffee in the to stay cup was a small portion, wish I got it in a to-go cup, but I prefer to save paper cups when I can.The place is beautiful and welcome, the staff is very nice and friendly. Excellent and unusual flavors of ice cream. Clearly very unique recipes. Everything seems very hand-crafted and carefully thought out. Limited number of flavors. Its a very popular place. I would have given it five stars, but having tried the lemon curd ice cream and the chocolate, both were too rich for my taste. Im sure others would disagree, but I prefer ice cream thats not quite so dense and intense. The chocolate tasted like a frozen, rich chocolate brownie. Its very good, but a couple bites was enough for me. I would definitely recommend going here, particularly if you like super rich desserts.

Turned away multiple customers before closing time. If they don’t value customers who visit specially, customers should go elsewhere. I did. Venchi at union square is more delicious and MUCH more friendly. Would have thought Danny Meyer would have taught his daughter about the importance of customer service. Don’t indulge them with your patronage.

Incredible gelato and expresso! The favors are intense and have so many magical combinations. The only thing is the shops hours are all over the place. Very disappointing when you’re expecting to be able to get a gelato sundae at 12pm and they don’t open until 1:30.

There is no shortage of ice cream shops in NYC, and you might be googling the best ice cream places in NYC, but stop right now and look no further. Forget Ample Hills, forget Van Leeuwen, the flavors here at Caffe Panna are out of the universe and constantly changing. I had the Red Ranger and Olive oil peach, and they were both phenomenal. I recommend you get the “tiny” size and try multiple flavors, because they are not to miss. I

That was amazing! Like eating frozen heaven! I got the pistachio and blueberry basil, great combination.

The ice cream here is unique and you can tell the creator has put a lot of thought into the menu. The Nutella crunch flavor was amazing (texture and taste), but I thought the vanilla was a bit bland. The chocolate was also unique, but not necessarily in a good way. Will have to try the others. It seemed like a lot of items were unavailable later at night, but understandable I guess. The service was disappointing in that they did not start our sundae orders until after I checked in (10 minutes later). All in all, I don’t know if I will be back unless I’m in the neighborhood and with somebody that hasn’t been.

It was a crowded rainy evening and this spot was still packed! I shared the special sundae and it was awesome! They change regularly. This one was Tropical Punch Ice Cream, Golden Oreo Ice Cream, Mango Pineapple Drizzle and Grapefruit Zest.

Tried their coffee affogato and absolutely loved it. The panna on top was creamy and light, and the coffee ice cream had crunchy chocolate bits in it that tasted wonderful mixed with the espresso. Will return to try their daily special affogato sundae!

Amazing affogato. We tried it with two scoops of ice cream - chocolate and coffee stracciatella. The ice cream was insanely good and the combination with espresso was superb. If available, do try the stracciatella ice cream as the choco chips in the affogato were a definite highlight for us.

They forgot to make our order. They were apologetic but they then told us they also ran out of the ingredients to make the sundaes after 20 minutes of waiting and asking what was up. They then had to substitute flavors.Ice cream was ok. The cinnamon bun sundae comes with a really hard cinnamon bun which doesnt really work. I think they have some kinks to work out.

The whipped cream is very fresh, and light, a must!They also cater coffee and European style hot chocolate.The chocolate frangipane (marzipan) & tahini ganache are must try for chocolate lovers in search of new tastes.Edit: on my second visit, I sat down for a hot chocolate at the bar, which is delicious. Ive also seen their staff work above and beyond to please customers -- they are the sweetest!

Staff was helpful in offering samples of the different flavors. I chose Gingerbread Spice, Chocolate, and Cookie Dough. The gelato was on the pricey side but tasted wonderful so I did not mind as much but, given that, this may only be a place I visit occasionally.

This time I stopped and saw that the menu seemed to be streamlined a bit but ended up just getting two single scoops of different flavors.Caffeine Bianca Straciatella: after eating a few bites I had to be reminded what I was eating. The coffee flavor is very subtle, I would have preferred more flavorCookies N Panna: innovative and great. The choclate base is made from crushed oreo cookies and then more bits in the ice cream. Would have like more bigger oreo pieces in there

This is fine-dining-style ice cream for the public. I tried three of the daily rotating flavors. The vanilla with olive oil and plum sauce was unabashedly plummy, and not like sweet fruity plums, but like salted sour plums, with occasional breaths of olive oil. The buckwheat ice cream was lightly toasty, with a ribbon of salted caramel that carried the flavor. And the chocolate berri crunch, which is the flavor I settled on, was intensely chocolately, with a salty, buttery crunch that actually stayed crunchy. The panna is a sturdy sweetened whipped cream, not the soft dollops of apple pie commercials, but a chunky slab that’s almost a scoop in its own right.All of the ice cream was soft, dense, and rich, much closer to what you’d see on a dessert plate at a restaurant than what you’d scoop out of a grocery store pint (even if you choose a premium brand). The flavors were all well-balanced, with components unafraid to lean into the savory spectrum, and added to that composed-dish quality.If you want a scoop of a culinary experience after a meal, or just for a snack, come here!

Fabulous ice cream with a consistency similar to gelato. They also have affogatos and coffee. The lines can get long, but they often hand out samples to those on line, which is great customer service. In fact, the customer service here is superb. Do not miss the spectacular chocolate sorbet. One can rarely call chocolate sorbet decadent, but this one is so rich and dense that it is.

Yes, this is what Ive been looking for, freshly made cream known as panna to top off delectable flavours of daily made ice cream in homemade cones. About the happiest staff around scooping a select number of flavours, nothing disappoints. Busy, busy, busy but a nice place to spend time with friends. Menu changes are frequent and youll just have to come back daily. Hot beverages and affogato too!

The Panna(whipped cream) is excellent. They have unusual and usual Gelato flavors. Even a chocolate sorbet that is vegan. The crunch that tops the Gelato is great. I havent had the espresso. Haley (the owner) is very friendly and often there. Its usually busy on weekend nights - but we are happy to wait in line. It is not unusual for us to spend $20 for Gelato for two of us.

This has probably been the most shared ice cream/gelato spot Ive ever come across in my Instagram news feed, and its only been open for two weeks. But I can assure you, its worth the hype. I love the idea of daily rotating flavors, I hope that is something that doesnt change. The flavors are so carefully thought about, and bold in taste. I had the spooky pumpkin caramel crunch and the chocolate and I could have eaten the whole container. Highly recommend everyone check out this great spot.
