Pretty good espresso. Prices were a single for $2.50 or double for $5.
Great cafe with great ambience. Sitting area is picturesque. Staff was great as well.
Nice unique venue for coffee right across from the American Museum of Natural History. Tall ceilings with chandeliers. Good coffee.
This review for an espresso drink: Agree with other reviews that it’s served way too hot, don’t let the photos of pretty latte art lure you in if you’re looking for what you’d normally expect of a specialty coffee spot in Manhattan. Barista not trained to the level of what they’re charging for the drink ($4.25) – they dumped the milk vertically into the cup, cortado filled with tons of cappuccino-like foam, shot was bitter & burning hot. I understand that not everyone makes good espresso, and would not be so disappointed if there hadn’t been misleading photos posted of the kind of coffee served there and if it were just priced like a low-end espresso. Atmosphere & staff nice enough for a quick place to stop, but there are half a dozen other places within a short walk if you’re looking for a nice espresso beverage.
Theyre open! My favorite whimsical little coffee shop on the UWS is open again in the Storico restaurant space across from their original spot. Dont be fooled by the emptiness of the original Parliament storefront, theyve simply moved a few feet over to be in the larger space in preparation for indoor dining. Their espresso is lovely and their pastries are sublime! Stop in and show your support!
Wonderful spot in the New York Historical society The mocha and cappuccino are some of the best I have had in the city. Pastry is fresh and very tasty
It’s a nice cafe to have a rest in between museums and Central Park. The cappuccino I had was average. As most cappuccinos I’ve had in the U.S. it balances the espresso v milk flavor way too far towards milk. But they have good cookies.
There is a very good coffee shop in an office of the United States. Tea is not available here. Only coffee beds are available here, I am a local guide, like me in India and ask any question from me.
Small, high quality coffee and treats. Friendly staff. A great place to visit after the museum or independently (museum entrance not required)
You are better off going to starbucks. The croissants were all soggy and the scones had the texture of day old oven biscuits. It was actually funny how bad it was.Coffee was good, ill give you that.
Very close to the park and the museum. The staff was not very welcoming at first.Prices are high and the menu is short. Everything tasted very good though.
A very nice cafe. I believe they make some the best Cappuccino with soy. Limited menu; however, the sandwiches are tasty and the pastries are very well made. When I am in the area, I will drop in for quick coffee with snack.
Stopped in for something to eat... Had the spinach and feta bureka it was good. But the service was less than expected. Like some of the reviews. They are the coffee shop of the museum gift store... Nothing special. Should have walked up to ⭐💵
I hidden gem steps away from Central Park, a quiet place to grab a tasty brewed coffee (they have light and dark roast) or espresso drink near the American Museum of Natural History, but there is not a lot of seating so you may have to take it to go... good thing there’s a park across the street.
The place is clean, cozy and nice. The pastry is good. The are quite of tea selections, and you definitely can remake tea at least couple times with the same tea bag.
Lattes and cappuccinos are supposed to be served warm, not hot. Thats how these drinks were served. The foam texture and flavor was sour, as well as the taste. Its an ok place, but not a first option for coffee.
Their tomato soup was great! Shop itself is small, but there werent a lot of people while we were there. The gift shop is located inside the coffee shop so the security checks your bag before going in. The people there are really nice tho! Good place to stop by sometimes!
Nice restaurant. The service has a lot of room for improvement. The staff are disinterested to the point of being impolite.
Great coffee and nice atmosphere. Careful of the building security guard. Hell search your bag and wont let you in until the exact minute Parliament opens.
The sign on the door said they open at 7:30am. The website said they open at 7:30am. But clearly the employees didnt know that, because when I walked into the store the barista gave me attitude letting me know they werent ready yet. When I asked what time they open she said 7:30am but didnt seem to acknowledge the fact that she was late Not my fault you cant open your store on time. Youre better off walking to starbucks down the street.
Good place to get a quick cup of coffee in the morning, or if youre coming from the museum and heading into Central park for the day. They also have assorted pastries, and sandwiches for a quick bite
A nice little coffee shop to sit down and have a little brew
Decent cup if you like darker arabica blends, good service and a nice place to sit.
I read some mixed reviews of Parliament, but after a day of traipsing around the American Natural History Musuem, we just wanted good coffee within walking distance of the museum. We happened to see Parliament as we were heading to another coffee place and decided to stop in. Located in the NY Historical Society, Parliament serves up some amazing coffee and delicious pastries. I had a espresso macchiato and a orange croissant. Both were top notch. Id definitely recommend Parliament, go check it out.
Nice little shop close to museums and Central Park. Offers americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and of course my favorite, flat whites. The shop also offers some nice baked goods to satisfy the hungry palate.
Peaceful, gentle atmosphere. Good coffee, though a bit on the dear side. (Filling up a 16oz mug that I brought in was $3.27 for a black drip, inc tax.)
Nothing special here. Tastes like Starbucks.
A bit pricey but coffee was decent. Nice location near Central Park West.
It was such a lovely place! I absolutely love their yogurt!
Fantastic
Great coffee and croissant to fuel our walk through Central Park. Delicious!
Friendly spot with excellent baked goods
Good tea, but somewhat limited selection with only one black tea available when i visited
Good selection of tea, friendly staff, but most of all a reaaally delicious chocolate chip cookie. As a Swede I would give it 5 out of 5 fika.
Standard cafe with nice shop, trying to be trendy but not quite nailing it
Rotten food, disgusting, if you want to ruin your day this is the place to go. Overpriced for rotten food-1 star
Great espresso. Beware it is cash only (or at least the last time I went there it was)
The pastries are tasty and the coffee is consistently good!
Always delicious coffee and donuts.
Idiot guard insists on checking your bag when the museum is open. I will not have my privacy invaded to go to a glorified starbucks.
GOOD COFFEE
Good coffee and treats. Pleasant service, quiet, and clean.
The quiche was rubbery and the croissant was dry. Both overpriced.
Small place in NY Historical Society. Great coffee and pasties but expensive
FANtastic Flat White! Thank you Shapelle.
Small, busy shop/coffee shop attached to the Historical Society building. Ok if you are desperate but maybe other options around.
Nice coffee and sandwich spot.
Disappointing cup of coffee. Wouldnt recommend it.
Very good coffee in a nice environment
Great pastries!
Good hot chocolate
Small space but really good
Good coffee, good pastries.
Apple turnover with Flat White coffee.
Decided not to stay, too loud
We came here to hide from the rain, the coffee was gross and overpriced and they didnt heat my croissant
Good coffee
Superb place and ambiance
Great coffee
Nice place
Awesome coffee!
Rude Service
A small valid alternative to the internal cafes of the natural history museum, especially if it gets late. Good variety of tea. Great muffins
Its a Starbucks - as good as all Starbucks. And dear, like all Starbucks ...At the entrance of a museum. They have a custom that I really liked: if you want to enter the museum, go in; we recommend an offer ($ 23), but you decide how much you can (and want) to contribute.A civil approach ...
Awkward seats, looks a bit different from the photos. The coffee is pretty good but the service is fast so its fine if you just want a quick coffee.
If you arrive before the museum opens, stay here making an appointment but stay tuned because the queue starts a little before the museum opens. When you are about 10 minutes go to the museum :)
Dear angry, expensive coffee and barely passable not unforgettable despite a pompous fresco on a wall that speaks of the origin of the mixture used. Distracted and rude waitresses to find themselves working in a historic cafe. Cramped space. No wifi. Why on earth come here then? Only by mistake or because exhausted by the visit to the adjacent Museum of Natural History. The coffee store is nice and full of interesting things: if you know someone passionate about history or politics, here you will find the right gift.
The atmosphere is pleasant, but the coffee is just ok.
Nice to meet you
It was very very very very expensive and horrible coffee and bread. The croisant was hard and dry.
Superb coffee.
Good place for coffee and pasta
Expensive!!!
Welcoming staff
