Better than most insurance plans, uBreakiFix has well trained technicians that are more than capable to fix many devices; I was very pleased to learn that parts were available for my Pixel 5. Great job, I recommend this location to anyone.

$310 to fix a cracked iPhone screen. Even the Apple Store charges less!!! I made an appointment, confirmed it, but it still didnt show up on their system when I arrived. My phone just has a simple crack in the screen, nothing serious and it still functions just fine. They asked $310 to fix this. Wouldve been helpful if they had price estimates on their website so I wouldnt have wasted my time or theirs.

I was referred to come in through my Verizon Assurion plan - came in around 6 and was able to get my phone back before closing time. Super happy with the turn around time and that I was able to get it fixed at no cost. I was helped by staff member Jesus, who fixed my LED screen and was very friendly.

Really wish I knew about these guys sooner. Went in to have my samsung s21 ultra screen replaced and the team did an excellent job. Did not wait long to drop my phone and it was ready exactly the time they said it would be. My phone is (thankfully) working great, I will definitely be going here for any future needs. Today I went to repair the phone, I was told by the receptionist to buy an insurance, to get a 50 dollars deduction. This insurance can be effective immediately for repairing other home appliances. He charged my credit card and opened the insurance Without clearly informing me. It turned out the phone repairing cost is exactly the same as the previous estimate, and the insurance also needs a month time before filing any claims and it charges you monthly. This is a kind of selling insurance with clear deception. Very shocking. Especially the phone and computer sent for repair have very important data, even payment details. Such unethical merchants are very worrying.

I walked right in off the street. They had a customer before me. The minute after they finished I was accommodated. UPDATE:The customer service team reached out to me immediately after I posted my review. They promised to resolve the problem and resolve it they did. I returned to the 23rd Street location and the manager of the store made sure to do his due diligence so that my phone would function the way it did before I brought it in. Its been a few weeks now and my battery is back to performing at the same levels it did before I brought it in. Thank you for taking care of this issue for me.ORIGINAL Review:I brought in my 5 month old, Google Pixel 4a 5g to repair a cracked screen. When my phone was returned, the new screen was not flushed with the top of the phone and the bottom left corner was not sealed. I brought my phone in the following day for it to be fixed again. However, this time, the top of the phone was noticeably consistently warm and the battery drain was exponentially faster (battery went from lasting on average 14 hours to draining to 50% after 32 minutes of use). Heading back to the store for a 3rd time in less than a week to have them look at the phone again and try to troubleshoot the excessive heat and battery drain. Not hopeful for a resolution.

Guys was cool 😎👌😌 booked an appointment, showed them my phone, took about 2hrs even thou there was about 5 to 10 phones ahead of mine, yhey let me stay at the store, manager explain to me my problems and what they gonna have to change, end up having to change more than what I went for but he explained to me why they had to do that. The repair wasnt expensive. All the workers was professional and they even give a 90 day warranty just incase the repair fail what else can you ask for.

The entire staff exceeded my expectations. They eased my fears, were super friendly and provided excellent customer service. It is nice to go to an electronic repair shop where you know you are guaranteed to receive quality workmanship, where your options are discussed regarding your issue, and most importantly you are told the truth!!!!

I had a really great experience at this store! I was so upset when I dropped my z flip and the screen started flashing white. The guy who helped me was so kind and friendly. I was worried about the cost of replacing the screen, but he was able to give me a promo to bring the price way down. I brought it in and had it back in perfect condition in about 2 hours, for an affordable price. Definitely recommend!

Several expert techs tried to get pictures and documents from my dead computer unsuccessfully. Then Mohammed worked on the drive and was able to retrieve everything for us. The pictures in particular were invaluable and the loss was difficult to accept, and because of Mohammed we did not have to! I am very appreciative to him and also to Greg who patiently taught me how to find our pictures and documents on a newly fixed (also by Mohammed) different computer.

DO NOT COME HERE. They charged me $300+ to change the screen on my phone, and they did fix it but with a poor quality screen that has ghosting.Now for the real reason: They signed me up for Asurion insurance or some charge that was reoccurring at $27 a month. This is a total scam. It took many phone calls with my bank to get this charge disputed, and I will have to cancel my card in order to stop the reoccurring charge.These people are crooks.

Im so happy with the device that I received back today!!! Its better than new. After having to wait almost 2 months. Maybe 2 1/2. Luckily the last day I went in the area director was there whim was really nice after calming me down because they had just taken my kindness for a weakness. I dropped off a phone that day as well because of the kindness if the area director. Once my tablet was finished I picked it up finally satisfied even more so because I was told it was on the house. 2 days later I get an phone call with an attitude saying I owe for the tablet and the phone but the price seem to have been more than quoted. It shoud of been 75 being Ive paid addition home the past 3 months for one device.

DO NOT GO HERE. NO STARS. Awful customer service. I had to follow multiple times about the status of my computer. The last time I called on the date I was told it would be done (when I was in the neighborhood of the store so I could pick up the item), I was told part was still on order and to call back in a couple of days. About 45 minutes later after I left the store neighborhood, I received a text saying order is complete- can pick up now. It turns out that the work order was not being updated so they were perfectly happy to give wrong information to a customer, to the inconvenience of the customer. I also paid a lot for this service, which makes the horrible customer service that much worse.

I absolutely love this uBreakiFix location, way better than anyone I have ever experienced. They are friendly, talkative, and interactive. The same employee has been helping me from the past 6 months his name is Hamza. He helped me originally at the Delaney location Thanksgiving 2020 with a screen repair that turned into a full phone replacement and yesterday March 21st with helping me buy a new phone, get a case, and screen protector. While helping me set up my new phone he was patient, interactive, and great person to talk to. He helped me save a lot of money and helped me understand what was going on while dealing with other customers. I was also able to meet Rose who also assisted me and talked about to shows we watched growing up, they helped me have a laugh while I was stressed about getting a new phone yes you come here for business but I also got to have conversations and interactions with cool people like these two. I have an older Android which needed a whole charging piece replacement because mine broke off along with the pins. Although I have to return back to get my microphone fixed so callers can hear me, they were able to get the charging piece fixed on the same day within an hour. Needed the phone for remote at home work, thank you guys, Amazing!

Melvin is a star! Very considerate, patient and knowledgeable. Solved my iPhone/iPad problem in minutes. I use tech a lot, but I’m about as far away from tech-savvy as possible. They charged me for Asurion insurance, told me it was free. But I realized immediately that it wasnt. I called them to cancel. They told me they did. Its been 3 months and im still being charged. Im about to fight someone

I came to this location because of its good rating. My phone had a cracked LCD screen which cost me $200 (half the price of the phone to fix). This is understandable, but I wasnt told the price or given a chance to decide whether or not I wanted to get it fixed until I was handed a receipt. The one star, however, is for the fact that only a few days after it was fixed the bottom half of my phone screen keeps popping open which means that the fixing was shoddily done and that theres a risk of more damage if anything gets inside. Im okay with paying 200 dollars but only to get something done right.

Stay away from this place. They are unprofessional, unresponsive and overall clueless. Below mediocre. I left my desktop computer for a monitor repair and they were unable to fix it. I was trying to file an insurance claim and I needed the model number (which is written at the base of the computer). I called 5 times and they never called me back with the number as they promised. Every time I called, they were completely clueless as to what I was talking about. They said they needed to look for the computer in their basement and that they would call me back. They finally did and gave me a model number. I decided to check on google that the model coincided only to discover what they hadgiven me was the model for a laptop. I called once again and Nothing. So I decided to just go in person to pick it up and just take it somewhere else. After waiting and waiting someone came out to tell me that it was going to taked them long to put my computer back together. Not sure why it had been taken apart. They conviced me to help me file the insurance claim themselves. After another week went by and it got nowhere. I finally decided to just take my computer from them. I showed up at the store, and again the receptionist was clueless!!!! I asked for IVI and thanks to him they knew where it was. I received my computer scratched, filthy dirty and barely put back together with most screws missing. My charger missing.This place is a joke. I guess the positive reviews are for simple repairs, but if you have anything remotely complicated, STAY AWAY.

The biggest scam around. After getting my 10 yr old Ipod fixed for $25. I started getting a charge on my credit card for $27.21 from Asurion (which owns ubreakifix). Asurion sells electronic warranties. The store told me they would remove it and give me credit. Next month the same charge again. I was on hold for 2hrs to try and get credit with no help. I have to cancel my credit card to stop the charges. Ill never walk in that store again. A complete scam. If I could post with zero stars I would but the system wont allow it.

Had my laptop fixed by Asurion. It was returned to me fixed but wiped clean. Asurion was unable to correct the situation remotely and sent me to Chelsea UBreakIFix. Mohammad reloaded my missing software. The following morning I had some issues and needed more help. Mohammad stayed with me by phone (returned multiple calls) and via remote to my machine until the situation was resolved. Had some bumps in the road-yes- but they stayed with it and got it done Thank you

I was able to make a fast, next day appointment to fix my cracked iPhone screen. Lakoi was my technician. He was prompt, very responsive, and even came to the appointment early. He fixed my phone very quickly and took the time to show me how the screen was fixed and in working order. Absolutely great experience. 100% recommend.

As soon as I walked in staff attended to me right away. They were patient, super nice (friendly), very informative, and extremely helpful. They did a quick and detailed diagnostic on My wifes phone. Explained everything in fine detail and were able to determine exactly what the phone needed to start up again. My wifes phone needed a new screen and charging port for her iPhone 7. Originally i honestly felt I should shop for a better price but in the end it was a good deal for the amount of work needed to really fix the phone. Extremely happy with the reault. Phone looks and feels brand new again. I would highly recommend to my family and friends for all their device tech needs. Suprisingly they are able to assist with more than just phones. Extremely fast repair of my Samsung S10, was able to drop it off, go to lunch, come back and collect! Awesome.

They replaced my broken screen but ever since then, the screen would stop working after a minor drop. Has happened twice, the first time they tried to say there was a small crack in the screen and wanted to charge me but I didnt see any crack and when they took it to the back, they told me the plug had come lose and they plugged it back in without problem. The 2nd time it happened they said it was out of their 3 month warranty and would not fix it without payment. Im sorry but if happens twice in less than 6 months, the job wasnt done properly and they should fix their mistake free of charge. Definitely would not go back to them.I opened the phone up so I could see why the screen kept unplugging and to my surprise, these professionals neglected to put back the bracket that prevented the plug from detaching!!!! This is absolutely inexcusable coming from an authorized repair center. And the fact that they wanted me to pay them again even though they didnt do their job correctly is baffling. I will be contacting google and let them know what type of company they are dealing with.

The best part is, is that they use all Apple products and you don’t have to wait for hours in line at the Genius Bar. Phenomenal service!!!! I recommend this place to anyone. I called about sea water getting into my phone, and they were very upfront with me about saying its very unlikely the phone will be usable but to bring it in and theyll take a look. They told me they would run a free diagnostic to see if they can get the phone running. They dried the phone internally to get rid of any excess water, and it turned back on even tho the Face ID isnt usable. Better than buying a brand new phone anyways!! It was a true free diagnostic. Go here especially if you dont know exactly whats going on with the phone! You wont regret it!!

So my iPad Pro 12.9” charging port got damaged.Went to Genius Bar and they couldn’t help and sent me to their authorized repair place on w. 20th street called Mike’s Tech Shop who declared emphatically that its impossible to replace the charging port on an iPad. The worst customer service I have ever got. I came to fix me cracked screen, the phone was completely 100% functioning perfectly (used it as is for a couple of weeks, so I would know if there was a problem with it). I dropped the phone there and when I came to pick it up the proximity sensor did not work. I left the phone there overnight for them to fix it the next day. When I called to ask if they were done with it the guy that I spoke to told me that when I dropped the phone off at the store it was already like that and basically accusing me for lying.When I asked him why didnt he add this to the report when they take in the phone he said that they do not check that. *so how can he claim that it was already messed up when I dropped it off*?!?!!?!He was rude the whole time, was disrespectful and provided a horrible service overall.Dropped my phone there to fix a cracked screen and up with a problem that will require me replace my phone. I regret my decision of going there.(Have to emphasize what a horrible consumer service) !unprofessional!

In the midst of a pandemic, I set my repair up online, dropped my sad phone off around lunchtime, picked my happy phone up a couple hours later, and feel completely satisfied with the service. Waited outside for 5 minutes when I was picking up because only one person is allowed in at a time for social distancing (its a tiny space, thats exactly how it should be). Everyone was extremely professional and very very friendly. Super satisified. lots of thumbs up.

My computer was broken and did not boot. Brought it in to fix and had to get my computer completely wiped and reformatted. They managed to get my computer to boot back up, but it broken again after a week. The computer is now on an auto-repair reboot cycle and never fully boots up. Initial fix was a quick fix that didnt last. Ended up paying $200 for nothing. I would have rather spent that $200 towards a new computer instead.

I had a stripped screw in the back of my laptop. They removed it for free! Great experience, employees were very nice!

My phone was a few years old and was having issues restarting, and the staff was able to get my phone up and running long enough to save a few years worth of photos.They were consultative in letting me know my options, the potential outcomes and chance of success of each, as well as pricing upfront.

PURE FRUSTRATION. Brought my phone here with a broken screen but otherwise perfectly working, including touchscreen. Its a Pixel 4 XL, i.e. less than 1 year old. Took them the whole day (your phone is complicated...), then they said they couldnt replace the screen at all. The next day they returned the phone to me, with the same broken screen, but now it wouldnt even TURN ON. They denied having broken the device, claiming we run Google tests before we return the phone to the client. Nevertheless they took it back in, and fixed the power button THEY had broken, but now the touchscreen was non-existent. In other words: they took in a broken screen, did NOT replace it, AND broke the touchscreen (and the power button). IN ADDITION, on the second time they returned me a phone HELD TOGETHER WITH BLACK TAPE because otherwise it would fall apart. They said the tape is just temporary, it will get back to normal. Pure BS. Its been a week and the phone is still LOOSE. They BENT the back panel, like if a kid tried to open it, and now it wont stay put anymore. Seriously, they solved nothing, made things worse, wasted a long time, and never claimed any responsibly for anything at all. Im never coming back here. The only reason Im not more outraged is because I had bought insurance, which replaced the entire device. Otherwise, words cant tell how ugly this situation would get.

Well.. this is your spot. I had trouble booking online appointment.. when I walked in at 4 there was 1 person waiting in line, the owner attended to him quickly and engaged with me.He asked all the relevant questions, he listens well and clearly enjoys giving good service and taking care of his customers. He answered my concerns about the quality of my phone model, and advised me on how to get adequate screen protection, he also gave me options to buy a new phone, not from him, but for me to compare my choices if I chose not to repair it. The screen protection he recommended wasnt even his product since he cant supply due to him being an authorized Samsung dealer so I must say he had my interests at heart.He promised 3 hours and had it done before then. He is a bright and helpful guy, and the phone was fixed perfectly. Its an expensive repair but his price was same as what others are asking for, he puts in a new battery, and its original factory parts.Really happy, I highly recommend this.

Beware! Price on the website & email clearly stated $150, but they charged nearly $200. The tech was overbooked and showed up 5-hours past the window. When I called customer service, they said they had no idea who I was, despite being a uBreakiFix truck in front of me and receipts of purchase. Maybe its a one-off but would never purchase again.Edit: The vendor responded, apologizing for the confusion. The website is purposefully misleading. It says, Estimated Total: $149.99, Due Now: $30.00. The language intentionally sounds like a downpayment when its just an additional fee.

As a senior citizen, I really need helpful people. We have used this place a few times for other devices and they are alway very nice to us, listen to us and invite us to come back if there are any issues. That means a great deal to me. There are other places on the block but I continue to use this place.

I would rate this 0 stars if I could. I went in with a simple screen fix which they cost me $180 (it should be around $60) Then they messed up the inside of my phone, thus breaking my antena and now my phone is not able to recive or send texts or facetimes and nothing needing wifi will work. The other places I have taken my phone to have aIl told me that it is permanantly damaged and I should get a new phone. I have not had any of these problems before I brought my phone here. I have not only wasted the $180 but a day of my life at this store. If you care about your devices or money at all DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Bottom line up front: I paid $152.41 and my phone is still not fixed. I dont recommend this store. I recommend you ship your phone to your manufacturer or choose another company.I paid $152.41 to get my phone screen fixed, but it started to malfunction again within 3 weeks. I brought the phone back into store, but they wouldnt honor their 90 day warranty. Essentially, I have not received the service I paid for.After 3 weeks, my screen start malfunctioning again. I brought it in again to get it fixed under their 90-day warranty. When I received the phone, they said it passed the test for the second time. However, after I checked my phone, it was not fixed.I complained and demanded to get it fixed, but now they said they cannot fix it because of the water damage which was the oxidized port. They wanted me to pay additional $129 to replace the port before they can fix the screen. I explained to them that the problem is the screen, not the port.The port has been oxidized for quite a while and they accepted it in my first appointment. They didnt mention anything about my port being oxidized or water damaged. As a result, I paid them $152.41 and my phone is still broken.Why did the store accepted my phone in the first appointment and told me it passed the test even if my port is oxidized?Why do I need to pay for the new port if the technician said my phone passed the first and second tests?

I recommend to stay away from this place. they kept my device knowing that after 90 days I would not be entitled to my refund.When you buy a device(including Laptop) from either Apple or Samsung make sure you keep your warranty up-to-date. and always renew it before your one year warranty is up. never go to an independent hole in the wall You break I fix.......12/2/21 Im having problems again with my device. Repaired my phone screen within 2 hours on the spot. Very friendly and communicative.Maintaind factory warranty as thy are certified by Samsung and all other manufacturers. That said it was kinda pricey because thy required the end product to be up to spec/certifiable.

During this pandemic and quarantine my laptop stopped working - specifically it didn’t turn on. I have a protection plan through another service, but all of their stores are closed. I went to my brand’s site to find a certified retailer. This location had good reviews and they were open! I dropped off my laptop and Thursday, 5-days later, it was actually fixed. The price was $99 for repair. They were really nice guys too. I just wish they followed up and let you know when they’d get back to you - even if it’s 5 days because they’re slammed, just say that to help manage customer expectations. Other than that, really good. I plan to bring my 2nd laptop to them too.

A structural problem had made me use binder clips to keep the computer together and functional. It eventually caused the device to make a disturbing sound. I took it to uBreakiFix (HP factory authorized service) in Chelsea/Manhattan and they knew the problem right away; with the internal cooling fans. Parts were sent in a timely fashion. When brought after parts receipt, I also pointed out the structural problem, cause of the the cooling fan problem and asked if they could fix that too. Done! Great work Chris and Melvin!

Professional high quality work. With that being said, waiting almost 2 hours after arriving 45 minutes past the original pick up time for a job to finish was really disappointing. As if paying $400 for a $200 job wasnt bad enough.

Fast, efficient, no nonsense and reasonably priced. I walked in with a Samsung S7 with a swollen battery pushing apart the screen and ready to explode. This shop on 23rd St assessed and replaced it in 45 min even w/o an appointment. Looks good as new. Definitely recommend. Theyre open 7 days a week.

I had the best experience of my phone being repaired here. I was in a rush and he was understanding, he fixed my phone and also explained what he used and gave me informative tips on how to prevent my screen issues from happening. Great service. Had a big problem with my iPhone stuck in a reboot loop, and Melvin was able to find the problem and fix my phone so I didn’t have to factory reset.

Brought a Google Pixel XL to the store to fix the charging issue, end up with not only the charging issue not fixed, but the phone is not able to turned on at all. Even worse, they refused to even seal the phone without charging extra money. Now I have a broken and cracked phone.They kept saying that the battery was dead, so the phone couldnt turn on. I offered them a solution that put a new battery into the phone, and made sure the phone was able to turn on, and I would pay for the battery replacement. They refused to do. They told me that they didnt have any more Pixel XL batteries. Wow, just less than a day, they magically sold all their batteries!?!When youre bringing something to fix, you shouldnt end up in a worse condition than you have brought it.

Extremely rude service, the man I spoke to (Chris) tried to charge me $150 for a repair that shouldve been covered by my warranty. I then called Samsung in front of him to check, and they contacted Chris directly to inform him that the repair was indeed covered by the warranty and that they would cover any associated costs - he still refused to fix the phone though.Very unprofessional, rude, and clearly wanted me to unnecessarily pay for the repair.
