The staff are very willing to help you and teach you how to preform basic things. Im new to owning a bike and the process has been quite intimidating. However, Elena especially has answered a lot of my questions and has helped me with bike issues on various occasions which has given me confidence as an owner and has made my experience better.

Excellent customer service from Trek Upper East Side. First off, this store is very quick to respond to emails, which was great when I wanted to confirm if the bike I wanted was still in stock. I reserved the mountain bike using the online payment option on the Trek website and Carlos at Trek Upper East Side brought the bike out and made sure I was happy with the test ride and seat height before taking it home. Carlos also educated me on the tubeless tire system, which is something I would have never know about had he not mentioned it. A great experience here after looking for mountain bikes for months.
The best experience in a bike shop by far in NYC. Two weeks ago I went to over 15 bikes shop to check out merchandise and try and secure my first road. Not only were other shops out of stock but they were typically pretentious and rude about it. Trek was down to earth and offered exceptional service. After two hours of talking and test riding the bike. I got it. Trek is a wonderful brand of top line bikes but the service was explanatory.
The Trek team has been so kind and helpful! They have provided a lot of advice, guidance, and even a few small maintenance services free of charge. They have definitely earned my trust and I will be returning for all of my bike needs. Huge shout out to Walker for being so wonderful!
The folks at Trek are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions. They went above and beyond to find a replacement wheel during the current parts shortage. I never worry theyll mess up a repair. Im a maintenance customer and Im always impressed with how clean and well organized they are -- and friendly!
The proof of a bike store lies in the small things: All too often, stores have tried to make me pay $10 for a ten cent part. Not so at Trek Bicycle: I had lost a nut from the rear axle of my basic bike, and the kind and relaxed service technician simply gave me a used nut for free and fastened it for me. No big deal, one would think, but on that otherwise very tough day, it meant something to me.They also sold me some simple brake pads for a fair price, without making me feel cheap. This is how you convince me to come back on a better day and spend some real dollars on a nice bike. Thanks, guys!

Its been very hard to buy a bike over the past year but this Trek Shop has been pretty consistent with getting inventory. We ordered online, came to the store, they helped adjust the bike and show us a few things about removing the front wheel for loading it into a car and while we were there we picked up a few accessories too! They were very helpful and friendly!
When I went in the store to buy a $130 pump the salesperson took the time to ask me what Id be using it for. Once explained he told me I did not need this particular pump but rather one for $75. Its not about the quick sale its about building on going relationships based on trust. GREAT JOB Trek Upper East Side!!!
I have dealt with the guys and gal in this store for the past two years. They have been topnotch and stellar in every way. They resolved all my warranty issues, got me the parts I needed for my three trek bikes, and gave me some really good deals on new bikes that we bought. More importantly, they treat me like a friend and not just a customer, emailing and calling me with updates on various matters concerning my orders on parts and bikes.I would highly recommend the store to anyone interested in getting bike parts, repairs, and new bikes.

I love the way they handled it even when I bought the wrong part for my bike they replaced it and I payed a small amount (the difference). they stayed until 6:30 for me after closing. Just to help me get my bike in Id love to credit all the wonderful staff in there for excellent costumer service and hopefully there hard work pays off. And I hope more people come to this store.

This is my go-to bike shop in NYC. Have been a customer for years, and have always had a great experience.My latest experience was just last week, when I was looking for a new bike after my primary bike was unfortunately stolen.Service was exceptional, and everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable, patient with my numerous questions, and gave me good advice re: what gear was essential vs nice-to-have.Also, the technicians were able to install new gear while I waited, and I was back on the road the same day. That was a huge plus.Once again, a great experience, and a completely satisfied customer.
What a gem of a store. has a neighborhood feel with good people who really care about their customers. Olivia is one of the best mechanics Ive ever seen (I bike 7500 miles a year). she soaked the rear derailleur which made all the difference.

The staff at the Upper East Side Trek store go above and beyond regardless of whether youre an existing or new customer (Trek owner or not). Carlos, in particular, has been a pleasure to work with and has been instrumental in educating and servicing us with our new Trek Domane road bikes. Product selection has been great and backed by Treks great warranty policy. A full service department ensures that youll be spending as much time riding your bike in and around the city. Having them just a few blocks away gives us the peace of mind with investing in and owning these high-end bikes.

Some how my front derailleur snapped on my Felt road bike and I needed to get it replaced. Elana, the Service Tech hooked me up. Shes knowledgeable, thorough and so nice. I dropped my bike off, she ordered the part and less than a week had me back on the saddle. Ive been to this shop prior to Trek taking it over and Im glad they did. Prices are fair but more importantly the customer service is 5 star. Not just with Elena but the whole staff.

Amazing service! I had trouble installing a crown race (really a spacer) onto a carbon fork, and they helped me sort that out super quick. Didnt even charge me, which I feel bad about. Ill be sure to head over there again to buy accessories/parts for my new bike build.

The mechanics here are great, and staff is committed to making sure you have the best experience riding your bike and in their shop.
Very helpful staff that are knowledgeable! With the pandemic going around still, they are practicing safe distancing and limiting the number of customers in the store. Plus they have a pretty good selection of bikes, equipment, and apparel. I would call in advance to see if they have what youre looking for though.
These guys are the best: super friendly and welcoming (love that they are explicitly an LGBTQIA+-friendly business too) and do quality work at a fair and transparent price. No sense of the snobbishness Ive sometimes experienced in other bike shops when I bring my sturdy but decidedly unsexy entry-level commuting hybrid in - they will help you out whether you need something super basic or really high end. They did a great job servicing my bike a few weeks ago and then when I turned up needing a brake cable fixed today they let me in even though they were closed to do inventory, fixed my cable on the spot and when I asked what I owed them for the work the lovely Olivia said there would be no charge! I have already recommended these guys to friends on the UES who cycle and I wouldnt go anywhere else now to get my bike fixed.

I went to this location to find an updated version of my current Trek bike which is 18 years old. Dylan. the incredibly knowledgeable associate, showed me the new versions of my old bike and helped me pick the right one for me. After a test ride, he answered all my questions, of which I had many and then helped me add features to help customize the bike to my specific needs. My new bike is perfect. Knowledgeable people and expert technicians selling quality products. It rarely gets that easy!

When I bought a Trek FX3 Disc, I didnt know where to start. The folks at Trek were patient and helpful with every question that I had even if it seemed to me like a dumb one. The bike itself is terrific; it has a smooth ride, and I love how many gears I have. I still have a lot to learn when It comes to bikes and what everything is used for, but I trust that I can always ask my local Upper East Side Trek location to answer any questions.

I bought and assembled my bike a few years ago. I didnt assemble my bike properly so I took it to Trek. Bas (my apologies if I didnt get his name correctly) fixed it quickly, and he didnt charge me. But I tipped him for his hard work. Excellent staff!

Had some issues with a tune up, but the shop followed up even after a long period of time had elapsed (because I was out of town for work) and provided a refund to resolve the issue. Excellent costumer service!!!
If there was a “Minus 1” I would add it.While the store has a welcoming “façade” of inclusiveness they are actually very slow, rude (if they do pick up the phone...) - I brought in my bike for basic service and - despite numerous calls placed - I am still waiting to get it back 10 days later.They ironically claim they’ll give you a free loaner, but then they don’t have any “available”.This is a Manhattan store that feels very “entitled” and over-priced; stay away.Edit :Thanks for the response.I obviously don’t post with my original name - and my “basic” service took 12 days; the fact that I receive an automatic notification of a service “delay” does not make it any better specially when I am “guaranteed” at the storefront entrance a replacement loaner for services >24hrs and - after days of delays - I am told that that service is not offered anymore because “all the bikes are gone”.One day I spent so much time trying to call the store (“the line is busy/hang up on me”) that I walked there just to find the “crew” hanging out.Another time I went to check the status of my bike (since calling is useless) entered the store at “5:01” (literally) (door was open, lights on); and the convo went as follows :Crew : we are closedMe : can i ask a question ?Crew : we are still closed[with entitled, arrogant tone]I could have been asking for directions - really. And - sorry to be pushy - but I was told it would take 2 days and it took 12; with what this store charges, it could have been at least polite.As stated earlier - typically entitled rude and inefficient Manhattan Store.
I was in the market for a road bike at the end of the summer and had initially purchased a Specialized with a September ship date. As a result of the Great Bike Shortage of 2020, September came and went and the ship date pushed to February. I cancelled the Specialized order and consulted with a cyclist friend for advice. She recommended Trek, not only as an excellent value, but more importantly as having the best service in the business.I had my marching orders to get an Emonda ALR 5 and stopped by Trek UES to see if by any chance they had what I was looking for. Carlos was incredibly helpful, and while they did have an Emonda in stock, we both thought it was a size too small.Carlos located the bike in the next size up in Philly. He worked with the Philly store to have them ship the bike to Trek UES so that I could test ride it for fit. Once the bike came in, it was not only the perfect size, but it was the color scheme I wanted too (for some reason I thought they only had the other color)! Carlos was incredibly patient in adjusting the bike perfectly and getting me setup with all of the components I needed. As a first time road bike owner, I had a ton of questions and he answered them all. He also provided information on bike maintenance, recommended routes, and even gave me tips to acclimate to being clipped in. I took the bike for a spin that afternoon - it is so fast and fun, and zero issues being clipped in!!I absolutely love my new bike and am so happy to have wound up with the Trek! Could not be happier with outstanding customer service by Carlos and the Trek UES team! I am a customer for life and highly recommend!

I had the best retail buying experience Ive ever had here, a bike shop! I dealt with several different members of the staff - as I came in on various occasions to zero in on the right bike for me - I had a million questions and they were all extraordinarily kind, patient, and exceedingly knowledgable. Oh, and I love my new Trek bike! Im glad Ive found a local shop that feels so welcoming. I wont be going anywhere else!
I brought my road bike in to get repaired - the rear gears were not shifting properly. I was told that I needed a new shifter and that given the model of my bike - a 2010 Trek Madone, that I would need updated shifters. I was also told that I along with the new shifters I would need an entirely new drive train - crank, front and rear de-railers, cassette and chain (since the new shifters wouldnt work with my older components). I was presented with an estimate in the amount of $1200.00 (parts and labor) and as an alternative, I was also presented the option of buying a brand new bike (it was on sale for $2850). I decided to take by bike to a nearby shop where I was told that my rear shifter cable needed to be replaced - $26 for the cable and labor. My bike shifts perfectly now. Im so glad that I went for a 2nd opinion and I will not ever bring a bike to this shop for repair.6/30/20 - UPDATEWithin 24 hours of posting my review above the manager of the store emailed me. He was extremely professional and sincere in his reply, stating that he was sorry about my experience. Additionally he stated that he wanted to rebuild my trust in the store. We connected live and over the course of the next few weeks he was able to come up with a suitable solution. As a result of this experience I have amended my rating of the store. While the initial experience wasnt positive, it was the speed and professionalism of how Tim dealt with my dissatisfaction that has renewed my trust in their business.
I was under an unexpected time crunch and shopping around for quick service. I needed a lot of work done and knew I didnt have great odds based on my experience with bicycle repair turnaround in-season. When I called Trek UES they told me to come in as soon as possible for assessment. Less than 24 hours later I had my bike back in perfect working order. Bravo!

These folks should give customer service classes at Business Schools. And the bike service they do is nonpareil.Carlos checked me in when I had to have a brake put on my bike. Checked a few other things out and gave me an honest appraisal. When the appraisal went up by some $10-$20 in a week due to a more expensive than expected part, he called me and explained it to me thoroughly.My bike feels tight and super fast after it left Trek UES’s hands...what more can you ask from someone about your baby!Support you local bike shop! After multiple flat tires, I asked what I can do to stop getting flats in NYC. Rather than upsell me on expensive solutions, they asked me where and how I ride my bike then explained in great detail the pros and cons of various options based on my riding habits.From their advice, I chose to keep my tires until the winter end, but will return in spring for a new set of tubeless tires. I walked away having learned something new AND feeling good about the choice and the honesty of the staff. This is now my go-to bike shop.

BEST FRIENDLIEST upfront MECHANICS on UES. Best prices too.Used to go to Bicycles NYC until they charged double retail for products (chains/cassettes/pedals) and their labor costs are 25-35% higher, additionally that place tries to sell you thinks you dont need and the mechanics are nut-jobs.I have 3 bikes- a triathlon bike, a road bike and a commuter bike and this is the only store on the UES, I will step into now. Shame on the other UES bikes stores as this is the only place that deserves your business.
