As a community everybody want the best their area in term of crime at times like this you suppose to support your mom and pops shop but the question is will they support you? when you need them..I URGENTLY REQUEST and tell our customer and law biden citizens that this bussiness isnt helping me toward a crime that happen with in the store.we as customer should feel safe in our community and your not going get that from this store.you life isnt worth paying people that only want your money and dont care about you!

One of the worst bike shops Ive ever been to...First, Id like to say the good news is this place inspired me to do my own work so I wouldnt have to deal with them.Before this, I had a flat tire. Went in for a tube replacement. They replaced the tube and checked the tire for shards. $10The next morning (after only riding it 3 blocks back home from the shop the previous day), I wake up to find the tire flat again. Take it back in letting them know I had only rode the bike 3 blocks and it was highly unlikely I punctured it again. They replace the tube and charge me for the replacement. I was a bit annoyed but I suppose it COULD be possible a second puncture occurred. This time though... they charge me $15. When I question the increase, they tell me they got newer tubes which are more expensive.The next day after almost no riding? Another flat. At this point, Im assuming they missed a small shard stuck in the tire and bring this up to them. They told me Im being paranoid and that the weather was causing it... ??? They then try to charge me $20 to replace it. Im irate and tell them I absolutely will not stand for this. They back off and charge me $15.Another flat. I finally look up how to replace a flat, check the tire, and find a glass shard they missed. Replaced the tube myself and have been riding fine ever since.Ive tried giving this place other chances before this incident as well. They WILL try to overcharge you. The owner, Victor, is sometimes very nice and other times very rude. If you have a choice, go to shops further downtown or in Inwood. I personally go all the way down to West Village for bike parts now.

Found on Google as my riding mate had his saddle bolt snap. Victor hooked him up within minutes and, had us on our way!! Thank You!

Fast and friendly neighborhood bike shop. Victor installed a new gear system on my road bike years ago and it was excellent. I come here for cheap tune ups and he has all kinds of accessories. Whatever you need he will have it, plus theres usually a few people working the shop to get fixes and installations done fast.

Went to have my back break pad replaced, and owner could not find the right pads, he tried to install the ones he found, claiming that those will work for a few days, and I should come back the following week to get the correct pads. After he finished installing those wrong pad, I literally showed Victor that I could easily remove the plate in between those new pads because it was not secured with anything. What if it was going downhill at 30 mph and the plate comes off with the vibration, I could have seriously got hurt. I insisted in getting the correct pads, after looking for a couple of more minutes in his stock, I pointed the package with the correct pads, which he installed, rushed me to pay and he left the store because he has to move his car. The guy DID NOT adjusted my back breaks properly, nor he even tried to look at the front ones. This store gets ONE star because I can not give him ZERO, and because there is a second mechanic who has better work ethic, he double checked my breaks, and made sure both front and back breaks were adjusted properly, obviously that second mechanic is very aware of the lack of professionalism of his boss. Not planning to be back to this store, where owner is more interested in hanging out in the sidewalk having beers with his pals than providing a good service.

They dont know how to use PayPal or Venmo. We got a flat tire on our bike ride in the city. Unfortunately, we didnt have cash with us. So my cousin & I had to walk back to our car 4 miles.

I have been going to Victors bicycle shop for numerous repairs over the years. Victor is very knowledgeable and does excellent work. The prices are better than everywhere else in New York. And he is honest and forthcoming, I never feel like he is trying to talk me into a sale or trick me on a repair. Victors bicycle shop is by far my favorite bike shop in New York. I go out of my way to go to Victors shop for repairs, thats how good he is.

Victor’s was my “home” shop while visiting NY during most of June. Service and parts were excellent and very reasonably priced. Most importantly I was treated as if I was home, with hospitality and friendliness at both Victor’s and within the entire neighborhood. I also witnessed the same consideration provided all the other customers serviced at Victor’s

Not a great option for bike rentals. The bicycles are in pretty bad condition. The price was not clearly communicated. I’m certain that i was told that a rental of 4 hours was $10, but upon returning the bikes less than 2 hours later, we were charged double the quoted price.

Went to fix my tire because it popped, I went to fix my bike 20 minutes later, I almost lost my life, the wheels got stuck, and my tire blew up, After he fixed it ? Bad reputation and I haven’t received my money back !
