Price listed on FB Market place and Website were about 1000 less than what they had posted in the car window. I drove over two hours to see a car that was supposedly in mint condition with no scratches or dings. Motor was in perfect shape and all that. When I got there the car had numerous dents, cracked windshield, and a HUGE oil leak. Then the person helping me lied to me about numerous things saying that the windshield crack was from the snow but you could see obvious impact points. And told me the price was 1,995 and the “dealership fees” would bring it to 2,995 which was the price they had listed in the window of the car. When I mentioned that he said he would drop the price to about 2000 which is still above what was listed. Bottom line, they are very sketchy, they lie, and they try to pull a fast one on people, I even told him I was going to be coming from hours away and wanted to make sure all the info was accurate and he said it was. Never mentioned ANY of the issues to me on the phone. 0/10 I feel like they are pretty crooked.

Found a car listed at a decent price, test drove it and came back with my son so that he could drive the car since it was for him. We all agreed it was a great car and priced right. Set down with the sales rep to do the numbers to only find out that the advertised price was not the actual price that they were using. $1,200.00 above posted/advertised price. They call this prep fees, no where on their site is this posted or on CarGurus for prep fees. On top of that they wanted to charge me for the glass etching which we all know is done at the dealership when the car is purchased new. But I said Id give them the cost of the etching and the advertised priced. The salesperson said that they had many people coming to see this car and would call me back after he speaks to the owner. I had cash on hand, Im sure they will find someone to pay the additional fees . I feel this is false advertisement, if they come through which is highly unlikely I will retract my review.Not Happy, wasted day!

The car listed on line was only half of what they wanted for the car. He told me this after taking off work and test driving it. I should have known not to trust these people again. They sold my boyfriend a truck that leaked gas a the transmission went in 1 month

Be aware that prices on site are NOT what you will be asked to pay when purchasing a vehicle. The prices that they have listed are the prices of the vehicles only- they do NOT reflect all of the fees you will be required to pay. So, before you even look at a vehicle be sure to add about $1500 onto the listed price (I say “about” because after scouring the entire website I was unable to find ANY mention of these fees or their exact amount, so I am using the amount added to the specific vehicle I was looking at).If I had just missed some small print regarding the added fees on the site I would accept that I had just failed to do my due diligence. However, there is no mention anywhere, which I think is extremely unprofessional and misleading. I feel like I was tricked into driving hours to check out a vehicle that was advertised falsely.I would suggest calling to ask the exact fees and TOTAL cost of a vehicle if you find one of interest and don’t like in the immediate vicinity.

Worst experience in my life. I live about 1hr and 30min to 2hr away. I see a car listed for $992. Im like to good to be true but it says that price on their website, car gurus, and several other sites. IT SAYS CAR PRICE: $992 NOT FINACE PRICE OR PRICE DOWN.... NO THATS WHAT IT SAYS THE PRICE OF THE CAR IS. So I drive all the way up there with my mom. We get there look at the car some small damage but I was like something not right hows this car go from $4500 to $3500 to $992. It definitely been in an accident. Well after looking I went to go see the carfax and ask for a test drive. Carfax is clean..I was about to test drive and we just asked whats the price to see if were on the same page..... he came back with$2400 not including fees and tax and plates and reg. I go everywhere it is advertised at $992 he says thats the money down in order to finance. I said IT DOES NOT SAY THAT ANYWHERE ON THE PAGE it says $992 is the price. I told him to have a good day and he should do something about that listing before they get into some trouble with the law. Well I leave and I am sitting at the gas station looking on there website at the other prices for there cars and to see if it says thats the financing price. Found out the civic I also saw was only $1995 or something around that. So I walk back over since there is no where to park there and u have to park somewhere else and walk. I ask if this is the real price or also a fake price. He comes back with $2995. That is no where near the listed price again. This time he said it was the fees and stuff..... I just bought 2 cars in the last 5mo. Not once were the fees $1000 or more. Unless it is a big time dealer like toyota because we did get a new 2020 corolla at one but thats a lease so understandable. But everytime I have ever bout a used car they charge tax on the price because they have to. Also the $169 plate and reg. Never anything more. That only comes to about $250. Not $1000. If they wanted to charge $100 for dealer fee I would understand that and pay. But not an extra $1000. This place is a scam that uses false advertising than jacks up the price when you get there. We luckily walked away and didnt give them out business.... however it did wast my whole day driving and I still dont have a car to drive thanks to the horrible service at MOTOWN. I have many business owners and lawyers in my family I will be talking to all of them about the false advertising and how this place went about business and if there is anything I can do about it. My one uncle needs more info, but definitely said there is something sketchy about all that and to not use them. I wouldent even want to give this place business even if I can get something out of a lawyer, however if its worthwhile that might be a lesson they need to learn .The BBB will also be getting a notice about this. if you are looking for a car DO NOT COME HERE. even if they dont jack up the price for you it gonna be a $1000 or more in additional fees from the listed price. You can go to almost anywhere else for a cheap used car and not pay those fees. What a horrible experience all around. First, after confirming we would be there at 10:30 when they opened for a test drive- nobody showed up to open the place up until 11am. The hidden fees were a part of the problem but not the main part. The prep fee they talk about wasnt actually for any preparation work done on the cars. They said they might do an oil change as their prep work. The prep work: will cost you ~$1,000. But the bigger issues were simply unethical business practices. After confirming the price of the car before the test drive against the advertised price on car gurus, when talking numbers to get to a deal the salesman Ricky called his boss to confirm and came back and told us that the new base price on the car was $1,100 more than advertised!!! He had no excuse for the false advertising other than thats what his boss said. In addition, on cargurus it showed a clean carfax history with no accidents but when we looked at the actual document for our specific car today it was involved in a accident!!! Ive never experienced a more unethical, dishonest business in my life. Some people may think, theyre used car dealers - what do you expect? Im telling you, they are much worse than you could ever imagine.

BUYERS BEWARE! I wish I didnt even have to do 1 star. My husband and I drive from upstate NY to New Jersey to buy a 2009 dodge ram from Motown Leasing And Auto. We FINANCED the vehicle on June 25, 2019. We drove the vehicle back home on the 26th... made it home check engine light came on. It was the evening time so we decided we would take it the following day so we parked it for the rest of the day. The next day June 27th we wake up oil is all over our drive way, my husband realized theres obviously a bad leak, so we had the truck towed to the dealer($95)...So they tell us the problem which costed us ($500) to repair. We get that fixed thinking were all set. Picked the truck up on June 28th. Drive it the rest of the day no issue. July 30, 2019. My husband and I are on our way to a job when we hear knocking/rattling. Contacted the our mechanic he told use to bring it in, thats when we find out the engine was about to go. The price for that to be repaired is a $3897.73. Contacted Motown they told us its nothing they could do to help us. It was a as is buy. With my review I hope to help at least 1 person avoid the mistakes we made.1. If Motown wants to sell you the vehicle AS IS *DONT* under any circumstances do it especially if your going to be financing.
