Awesome location! Their almond croissant is the best I’ve ever had, a cappuccino along with it goes really well. They also give butter packets on the side for any kind of croissant that you order, which is good. Even though the place is closer to the bay aquarium, their menu items are reasonably priced which is great. I would come here again for the almond croissant.

The best part about this place is the view.Get your coffee and hang out on the large terrace that extends in to the water. We saw dolphins, a sea lion that looks like a regular visitor, and a few sea otters!Coffee and pastries are top notch. Get the ham and cheese croissant. One of the best I’ve ever had. Smoky ham, melty cheese, and poppy seeds added something extra. Blueberry muffin was amazing, lots of cinnamon spice flavor.

The place is very nice and clean, but my latte just tastes like milk. No coffee notes at all.

The coffee was OK. The pastries lovely, buttery and flaky, the view from the terrace outstanding.I had a flat white, the coffee / milk balance was acceptable, the milk steam slightly closer to latte than I would hope for from a flat white.The almond croissant was definitely one of of the better ones. Very flaky pastry and a lovely frangipan filling.

Great coffee and great muffinsThat being said I struggle to order a cream cheese bagel and a buttered bagel only to get to my car and find out I have two cut bagels and a few packs of butter and cream cheese. I am in a car, I dont have a table to apply my condiment on. Im dressed for the day and would like to stay looking near and clean Not too mention that I paid good money to have them done for me. I am not in a grocery store. Its rather infuriating to be honest.

They grabbed a solid corner location with some beautiful views of the bay that you can enjoy after getting your coffee and food. I got a cappuccino and breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was alright but the cappuccino left a lot to be desired. Either the ratio was off or the espresso wasnt great. The service was friendly and for how busy they were, pretty proficient. I wanted to like it, just felt underwhelmed.

The plaza just outside of Tidal coffee is stunning! I was walking from Monterey to Pacific Grove, and Tidal coffee was the perfect snack spot. I got a bagel with lox, a blueberry muffin, and an iced latte. Everything was delicious, and made even better with the beautiful surroundings.

ALMOND CROISSANT IS THE BOSS!! it’s probably the best one I’ve ever had - crispy exterior with TONS of almond clusters, smooth creamy almond butter in the middle. Wow, I’m drooling now.

Service was amazing, great coffee spot, breakfast panini was better than I could of imagined. Great location - nice table spots right outside; theyre near the Dolphin Fountain overlooking the ocean. Sad I didnt get a pic of their delicious cinnamon role that they heated for us. 😋 A bit of a wait if youre not early enough but theyre a popular breakfast spot for surrounding hotels and people walking the area.

The coffee is okay, but the service was excellent. You do have to wait outside due to Covid-19. Allot they had one gluten free option, which was nice to see. They had a good variety of syrups for coffee as well. The spinach breakfast burrito was delicious and baked to perfection!

The coffee is good but nothing really special to me. The view is stunning anyway. The seatings are public.

I don’t quite know how this place exists! It’s too good to be true. A large iced coffee is only $2.75! The house made steel cut oats are delicious. They also have baked goods and other beverages for sale. Plus the location is prime!!

The espresso in the latte wasn’t strong enough, it felt like I could only taste the oat milk. Maybe it was a single shot instead of double? Good breakfast sandwich with nice bread but it felt too basic for the price ($8). Great service though!

The latte is undoubtedly amazing. It would be better if they reheated the pastries b4 serving them to customers.

A bit pricey and they close at 12PM on the dot, but the drinks are good and their fruit bowls in the cooler are tasty. The employees are also really nice so hopefully that means they are treated well by management.

Had a great blended ice coffee and a cinnamon roll that was the best I have had. With stopping by, and watching the otters, was a great stop.

We wanted an afternoon coffee with a waterfront view, and Tidal Coffee did not disappoint. What an awesome place! The coffee and pastry were delicious, and I loved the chic nautical interior.

Very bland tasteless coffee. It’s like getting coffee from Denny’s the diner or ihop. The beans are very burnt and have zero flavor. For quality coffee, please go else where.

Probably one of the worst cups of coffee Ive had on my trip that wasnt complimentary. If you need a ton of cream and sugar in your coffee, this place is probably for you.

Coffee was good, as were the pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Really nice to grab a quick bite if you have plans to get to early and just enjoy on the patio quickly before heading out for the day.

Was excited to see this coffee shop nestled by the ocean on our way to the Aquarium.We were sadly disappointed by the quality of the drinks ordered however. Our light drip coffee was smokey, with heavy burnt flavors, all while being a bit watery. Our friends were equally disappointed with their espresso and latte.The redeeming quality did lie in the food and the overall atmosphere. We enjoyed a creative breakfast muffin (with a hardboiled egg inside) and other breakfast items.But even that alas, was very pricy, and the barista forgetting our food order entirely did not help our experience.If you want a cute looking break while in the area, the food and drink can tie you over, but unfortunately there is much to be desired from a place that looks so nice.

The Coffee is quite good and the pastries, though fresh baked in an industrial sense, combine with fast internet, plentiful tables in and out, and a stunning view of the bay to make this place well worth going to instead of Starbucks for a morning coffee. It is attached, ownership-wise, to the hotel it is in and the selection of goods and decor are more market research than thoughtful and from the heart but, whatever, Im flying from my 3 shot medium latte and not being bothered after sitting here for an hour so I can forgive a little lack of corporate imagination.

We literally eat breakfast here every time we are in Monterey their breakfast burritos are some of the best weve had, as is their coffee and non-coffee drinks!

Popular spot at the Monterey Plaza Hotel. Excellent pastries. I had a blueberry muffin that was moist & loaded with blueberries and a very good hot chocolate. They offer a variety of hot & cold coffee drinks. Outdoor seating available. Currently no indoor seating during Coronavirus.

Its kind of overpriced and they burned my espresso. Its adequate but I liked Bright better.

My experience was great. I just had black coffee and my friend paid. I didnt even go inside so I dont know how much it was but the atmosphere is wonderful. In the afternoon in the outdoor seating area there was some places to sit either in the sun or shade from the buildings. The entire patio is basically over the water creating a wonderful view with the sound of the waves as some background noise. Overall great experience for me.

Great coffee place. Got a double espresso early this morning. Super friendly staff and the drinks weren’t crazy expensive. The espresso was hot and smooth.The shop itself is inviting and really clean. Plenty of seating, and a cute selection of Steinbeck novels on the shelf!

Very tasty coffee and lattes. Whats really special about this place though is where it is located. Outside the cafe you can enjoy the beautiful views of the water. Would definitely recommend!

Great coffee and wonderful staff

Tidal is super reliable. They have a good selection of baked goods including a delicious gluten free coffee cake and an interesting and tasty savory breakfast muffin with a whole hard boiled egg inside of it. There is usually some outdoor seating available with great views. Service is generally quick and always friendly. The only negative I would have is that their coffee is only average.

Comfortable and convenient for early morning coffee and breakfast eats. Within walking distance of other hotels. Try the Chocolate croissant, its delicious!

The coffee I ordered was a bit on the strong bitter side (individual drip for 2.5), and the line was out the door (waited for about 10 min). I really want to love this coffee, so Ill give it several more tries! Great modern/industrial interior space.

Waited in line 30 minutes!! At 10 am they were out of all breakfast burrito except for one breakfast burrito that had chorizo in it!! Yuck! The other food choices looked gross..Their oatmeal looked like it was reheated...I would definitely say walk a few blocks to anywhere else!!!!!

They had soya milk and a variety of coffee options. They have space for sitting in or outside and great views of the ocean. Short walk from the aquarium and there were plenty of easy lunch options too.

A little overpriced because of the location, but the views from the plaza are worth so much more:) Also my morning muffin was served super cold and wasnt offered an option to warm it up

A great selection of tea & they are very knowledgeable about making blend recommendations. The tea was great. They only have pour over coffee, no espresso. The sitting area is very beautiful, including a heated bench with a pond.

They have great sandwiches and pastries there. And various hot or cold beverage. Nice atmosphere and an awesome view of Monterey Bay on Cannery Row. Beautiful sunny day. They also have outside tables and chairs facing the bay.
