Went in this morning for a pour over... Only took 2 minutes (normally takes 5-6 for good reason). Tasted like hot water with a slight hint of coffee. My boyfriend also had one, his took 4 minutes, was slightly improved, but tasted like gas station coffee. Had the parmesan leek croissant, it was good, wanted it heated up but they didnt offer and appeared stressed out so I didnt ask. Dont get a pour over if you plan to go here, you will be disappointed.

I had the Iced Latte and it tasted very fresh and it was exactly what I was looking for. The blackberry honey was very good and it came with a cute gift bag! Highly recommend snagging some of their candles too, you wont find em anywhere else. A tiny bit on the pricey side, but I understand since I live in a tourist hot spot too. But its worth it! I cant wait for indoor seating to come back here.

I had an iced mocha and it was very good. The shop is at the end of the pier, and unless you know they serve coffee you wouldnt think to go in. Be shopkeepers are very friendly but I would suggest more advertising outside the store to let you know they serve coffee if thats what youre in the mood for.

Very short staffed with only one person working (who was trying her best). There was minimal selection of food with only 2 muffins and 2 pound cake choices which was not a good selection for breakfast and very different from the posted menu and online reviews. No skim milk or other milk options available, only half and half for teas and coffee.

Very good coffee. I am sometimes wary of places in touristic locations but this one delivers. My latte was very well made. The place itself has a cute decor with both indoor and outdoor seating (they have a few tables at the front of the place but also some high stools at the back with great views of the water).

What a hidden gem! At first glance it looked like a typical cafe, but they sell made-to-order waffles, artisnal honeys, beer on tap, delicious paninis, and more, in addition to the great coffees and teas.We had a couple of the paninis, coffee, waffle, and honey. All great with a beautiful wharf view in the back and perfect people watching tables in the front.Ill be back.

One of the best tea I ever had. Ordered the bancha green tea with sage Morgan Hill honey and a hibiscus herbal tea with lotus blossum Morgan Hill honey. So delicious. First time watching them brew tea like that. The honey taste great by it self. Would definitely come back here for the tea and honey.

Always happy to visit here until today. We had to wait for over 20 minutes to get the tea. Having the sun glare in ouir face we didnt realize until later that the tea pot was filthy! As you can see from the pictures that pot hasnt cleaned for ages. It makes sense why out tea tasted like Sh#@. Very disappointed because I live this place. Update I notified of a counter person about how dirty is a teapot was and I asked her to bring the managers attention she said oh we know this happens all the time this is unacceptable and unsanitary and unhealthy

--My wife and I recently did a short trip up to Monterey and got a bite to eat and coffee. We were the only ones there (early in the morning) and got a fantastic seat on their back porch (really small, so snag a seat fast!) but cant best the location with all the boats!--I got a pour over, which was a decent cup of coffee, not the best but far from the worst. Also an almond croissant, which was decently light and flakey BUT had wayyy too much almond extract, it was all you could basically taste. (pretty much the only reason for the 4 star)--My wife got a chocolate croissant and it tasted pretty good. Along with a Cortado which also was very good. For sure would come back here if we ever get that chance to visit that area again.

First off the tea is outstanding and such a great concept. Have only found a couple of teas here I didnt quite care for. Beer is excellent and always have such a great variety.Pretty disappointed this time around though. We come out every year and on the way home we try to bring at least 6 teas for on the road and to enjoy when we get home as it is a 2 hour drive. This year we found out they no longer do iced teas besides 2 varieties whereas you used to be able to ice down any tea you ordered. It wont stop us from enjoying this great tea place, however very disappointing that we cant get the variety we want. Also called as I generally get some of the poison oak honey to bring home every year and they told me that it would be a 40 minute process, maximum. Every other year we were told this was a minimum 2 hour process as the honey is thicker than average. Came an hour and half after ordering and they still needed around 45 minutes. Good thing I didnt order this later. Still love this place but its a bummer living so far and not being able to leave with what we want!

While walking down the Wharf, I noticed Water and Leaves and their minimalistic decor and decided to step in. Since it was cold, I was craving something warm but then I noticed their beautifully plated desserts!Ended up getting their cafe au lait and their lemon blueberry cheesecake. The coffee warmed me up but the cheesecake was A+. Not too lemony and the perfect amount of blueberries added in. It is on the pricey side ($12 total) and there were not enough seating inside or outside. But still worth the visit on a windy day in the Wharf!

The very best espresso I have ever, ever had. I dont do a ton of espresso but Ive done it all over California and Europe and Texas and DC....Really cute spot. Lots of local honey. Amazing tea making technology. Great friendly staff. Thats really what did it for me. The staff was so attentive, so friendly, so interested in what they were doing. You could tell they love their trade and do it well. But that espresso...so nutty, aromatic, fresh, strong but not burnt. Best in California at very least

This one is not like the others. Surrounded by gaudy restaurants and well-placed tourist traps, Water and Leaves sticks out for its lack of fanfare. A plain sign, simple logo and colorful set of chairs decorate the pier out-front the shop. Inside is a clean space with minimal seating, and a beautiful view of the water.I ordered a double espresso - a simple yet great test of a shops quality - then casually observed the process. Measured dosages, scale-checked for accuracy and pulled perfectly between 25-30 seconds. The blend, delicious; the espresso, amazing.I cant speak for the other drinks or treats at Water and Leaves, but Id happily recommend checking it out and hope more stores like it fill the pier.

My husband and I came here two days in a row, and both days the lady with the shaved/short hair with a nose piercing, was extremely rude! She has no customer service skills and should not be interacting with any customer! On the second day, my husband was standing back at a distance watching when I was trying to have a conversation with her. When she walked away, my husband told me that she rolled her eyes at me. The place itself is nice, but employees could be friendlier. I asked the lady with tattoos to wipe the table (even this fact is unacceptable - that’s employees’ business to take care of cleanliness) and that made her very unhappy (as if it’s not her job). Happy to see this place up and running. Its an upscale coffee joint on the pier, great decor, latte art, decent espresso pulls, worth the stop. Great location too, watch the harbor seals from their deck!Pastries are from Parker Lusseau which generally are awesome.Had a cappuccino, they use wreckingball beans, I quite enjoyed it.
