This place was great. The best thing about it, the service. The staff was above and beyond friendly and welcoming. Seems like a family run spot. The food was excellent. I got the banana, coconut, Nutella crepe and it was delectable! Made to perfection. They have many types of crepes available. It does get busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait for a bit. Seating is available indoors and outdoors. While we were waiting for our food to be made and for a table, the staff came around and handed out free pieces of baklava to everyone that was waiting. The coffee was delicious as well. I would highly recommend this place, not just because of the great food, but because of the excellent customer service. I will definitely be returning the next time Im in the area.

The new owners are delightful and very welcoming. I loved the fast service. I had the huge King Zakaria crape with Nutella, bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream, topped with powdered sugar, and chocolate sauce. Cooked perfectly! Absolutely amazing!!! Highly recommend!

They use a lot of butter. I ordered savory, the crepe was still sweet, so it threw me off. My kids enjoyed their sweet crepes.

Definitely the best crepes I have had in my life! Ive been to many creperies but this has been the only one worth writing a review for. The staff (family owned and family run) were wonderful, the food was delightful, and experience was just all around fantastic! I got the King Zaki and highly recommend it. Also, not to mention the location is extremely convenient located right in the heart of Monterey. If you’re looking for a breakfast, brunch, or lunch spot, this is your sign to come here.

Still my favorite crepe place in Monterey. Everyone is welcoming and they have a large selection of crepe combinations, coffee, baklava and other things. I go here at least once a week usually.

Super nice people, gave us some baklava while we waited. They were overwhelmed on labor day though, ran out of strawberry and substituted banana, which meant that the hour wait was for nothing. On a slower day Im sure its glorious.

My 6 year old told the girl at the counter he likes dinosaurs and she gave home a chocolate. Also the crepes were cooked perfectly and the baklava was delicious.

If you are having a bad morning and feel like food would make it better… This place will not disappoint! My server (Brody) even noticed that I was a little off and he took the time to have a little chat with me and better my day…and to top it off they made the most delicious crepes. Safe to say that I will be an Ordinary Customer for this place moving forward.

I ordered a crepe with smoked salmon, onion, tomato, capers and sour cream. It had a healthy helping of salmon. Tasty. I would have liked the crepe to have been softer and not a little crunchy. The crepes are well priced.

On May 30th, my daughters and I walked past your business and saw a few of your fans outside excited watching crepes being made. We asked what they were looking at and one VERY excited fan told us that YOU made the best crepes in Monterey and that it made no sense that anyone living in Monterey might not have had your crepes. He also stated that we just HAD to have some. So of course we did. And while we dont know of the quality of other Monterey crepes, we definitely enjoyed yours and well be back.

This place is amazing! Id call it a hidden gem tucked away in the city. Perfect and delicious selections. My husband loves crepes and this was a absolutely perfect addition to our get away weekend. We will definitely be coming back... probably tomorrow!

Wow what a disappointment. Came here several years ago, also in July, and the place was jammed in busy and food was great! Flash to times of CoVid. We expected it to be less busy but we were the only clients for the 30 minutes we sat outside to eat our DISAPPOINTING crepes. They were not thin and delicate as a crepe should be no they were thick and rubbery with barely any toppings inside. I was wrong, it wasnt CoVid problems, its the quality of the food and the rude, cross-contaminating cashier/cook/host staff. Oh, and the pricing was embarrassing for what we received. What a difference a few years make. I guess the owners just gave up on service, quality and value. Luckily we only come to Monterey once a year so we can easily avoid it.

Crepes are pre-prepped which makes for fast orders. The batter is a tad sweet. Tried the tomato and avocado crepe which made for a solid and filling breakfast.

40 minute wait at 10:30 am although one three were in line in front of me. The problem was that everyone seated in the full establishment were also waiting for their orders. There is only one Cook, two crepe makers. Crepes are pre-made so they come out cold. Staff is extremely friendly but the product is not worth the wait. I wont likely return as there are other crepe locations close by which Ill try first.

The crepes were pre-made and just stacked until they needed them to fill an order...they charged for the higher option and then removed the other items( ie I ordered a strawberry crepe and they charged for a nutella,strawberry and banana minus the Nutella and banana) the drinks were watered down or heavily coffeed

I did not end up eating here, so I am not sure how the food is, but the service was terrible. I walked in and spent almost a full 5 minutes standing in front of the counter while the two employees ignored me. One looked at me briefly after a couple minutes and then proceeded to avoid eye contact again after that until I left to go to a nearby crepe place a couple blocks down the road instead.

This was a good experience during my visit to Monterey old fisherman’s cove on a sunny Saturday afternoon; after walking on the trail with one side water and another side with a lot of trees, for a mile or so, we all felt very hungry, was looking out for places to eat something. Zero’d in on crepe - the first crepe place we went into was madly crowded and we were informed about the wait time is an hour or so. Then we walked further and landed at this place ‘Monterey Crepe Company’, not by choice, but just like that.It turned out to be a reasonably good experience- I had tried the crepe with honey, banana and almonds ..

Super sad this place slipped so bad. We ordered 6 Crepes (about $80) They were as thick as three or 4. Way too thick and possibly 3 strawberries total stretched across 3 crepes. The salmon was fair and the turkey was terrible. (We didn’t eat) Zero fillings pretty much in the crepes and they don’t give toppings or even put fruit at the top. Very odd to even call what we were served a crepe. We won’t be back. My family was bummed as it was a birthday breakfast before our party. Lamest experience in our books.

Cashier did not wash hands after wiping nose and preparing food. Touched food while cooking it. No gloves. Dirty Tables. Bad service. Trash can was full from yesterdays trash!

Highly recommend the Monterey Special. It has Monterey jack, sun-dried tomato, and artichoke. Its excellent and quite filling. Enjoy.

Delicious crepes and wonderful staff!! These are some of the best crepes weve had, and we eat a lot of crepea. Both sweet and savory are done exceedingly well. Lots of filling and delicate crepes. Had our dog with us, so sitting outside was perfect. You cant go wrong here or at their Cannery Row location.

This experience was sub par, walked in and they have 3 people waiting. The owner rudely says wait outside, ok cool. We ordered two lemon sugar crepes with strawberries and whip cream. We received two lemon sugar crepes. It wasnt busy and this guy couldnt even take the time to do it right. Crepes of Brittany will reopen in March.

Shop was closed waaaayy before posted closing time.Although its ever so slightly hard to read, I arrived 1.25 hours before google maps posted closing time and about 5 hours before the stores posted closing time.Interestingly enough, though, the other 2 crepe shops in town were closed before posted times this same evening.Save your craving for closer to the bay area or santa cruz.

We dined during Car Week, it was incredibly busy and the guy making the crepes was friendly and our group had a great conversation with him while he cranked out delicious crepe after crepe. Its becoming tradition for us to go every time we are in Monterey.

The food looks awful for a $70 breakfast and the customer service is abysmal. They cancelled my entree without notice (on my birthday) and when called about it the employee Sam said there is nothing they can do and hung up on me. Skip this place and eat somewhere that values your business, especially during these times.

Such a nice cafe with many crepes to choose from ranging from sweet to savory. I enjoyed coming here on a Sunday morning to enjoy crepes and sit at the outdoor patio with my puppy and husband. The staff at Monterey Crepes is friendly and welcoming. Its a pleasant place all around.

Monterey Crepe Compangbis a gem in Monterey. Fantastic people and even better food. Do yourself a favor and enjoy their cuisine.

Savory crepes were not good and hastily assembled. Nothing like what you get in Paris. Limited choice. The service treated us as if we were an inconvenience. The venue itself is not conducive to sitting around and enjoying company. I do not recommend this place.

Really like this place, but he needs to hire some help.... he super busy for being working all alone...Crepes were amazing!Avocado and tomatoes crepe was delicious... creamy, soft in the inside and crispy on the outside...Ricotta cheese and appricot was so good! Sweet but not too sweet...Monterey special my son said it was so good.We will be back next year!

Awesome crepes! We loved the egg & spinach crepe as well as the nutella & banana crepe! The only thing that I would suggest is that they have a restroom available for customers. Oh! And a little bit of home decor (something to the effect of Starbucks decor) would go a long way! If there were maybe a sofa or two here and there, it would really jazz up the place a bit, imho.But other than that, its all about the crepes! Theyre delicious!

Food was good. Good coffee, but no free refills. No bathroom. You order at the cash register and he brings the food to you. Not personable at all. Not a warm friendly place at all.

Great strawberry and whipped cream crepes with a touch up f sweetness! I like bed thrm for flavor, crispiness and softness at the same time and freshness with strawberry flavor on top and not too much sugar because I am not a fan of over sweetened food! The owner is very friendly and makes fresh crepes in front of you! Coffee or something also good!!!

Dont waste your time. Both days we tried to visit, they were already closed by 7pm.The sign in the window says youre open until 9pm, but thats obviously not the case.

Cute local company, very friendly and cozy and located in downtown Monterey. Great location for people watching. The crepes are excellent and are made fresh to order! We got one sweet, and one savory. The coffee was only ok....I ordered a hot mocha, which was not a typical mocha like youd expect from a large chain coffee place, not bad, but was served lukewarm somehow? Overall, definitely visit for breakfast

This place has gone downhill in the last few years. They used to make the crepes fresh when you ordered them and now theyre pre-made and reheated. As a result, theyre much harder than they used to be. Their crepes used to be softer and thicker. Next time well try Crepes of Brittany.

I was unable to eat here because my family and I were refused service. a very rude employee said he wasnt going to serve us because he didnt want to when we tried to sit on the patio. I dont know this mans name, he said it was Eric but he could have been lying to me. Hes a Caucasian man with glasses and he isnt the owner of this establishment. I was about to purchase food from this place and I was told I couldnt for no reason whatsoever. If I could rate this zero stars, I would. I will contact management about this.

There are other places in Monterey to get your crepes, but this is BY FAR the tastiest. The service great albeit a little slow sometimes because everything is made fresh. Its so worth the wait though. Also their selection is gigantic, I always have a tough time deciding.

Wife had the strawberry and nutella crepe, I had a maple syrup one. In hindsight, my wife made the better choice!Got served quickly, but only one person on (at 8pm). Others behind had to wait a bit longer as he juggled between the cash register and making crepes.Freshly made with a proper crepe stove and taste great. Would have been worth the wait if we were further down the queue.

Ive never taken my wife somewhere that she refused to share her food with me: thats how much she enjoyed her meal. Incredibly delicious, Im definitely coming back here soon.

On my honeymoon in Carmel valley we decided to get dessert. As most locations were closed in the area, we found this place in Monterey and decided to take the half hour drive here. Hours state open until 9pm however we got there at 8:30. One employee sitting on the counter, the other came out and said they we closed. Door wide open, we walked right in, yet closed? We told them we drove a good distance to get there and they could care less. Read COUNTLESS other reviews saying they either close early with no notice or deny service pretty often. If I would have read those reviews prior to having my husband drive us out there we would have never gone. Don’t bother going if it’s within the hour of then closing, you will have wasted your time.

Guilty pleasure. Sweet crepes, mmmmm. Also has savory crepes. Great little spot in old town. Nothing fancy and the decor is dated, but the crepes hit the spot.

Yummy selection of crepes. They have a location in Downtown Monterey but also ha e a booth out in front of their place on Tuesdays during the Farmers Market. I recommend getting the egg and turkey crepe with cheese. Super filling!

Absolutely terrible service!! The store hours show they close at 10:00 so we went in at 8:30. The guy took the order of the family in front of us but never acknowledged us. We waited and waited until he had finished making the crepes for the family who ordered before us. Then when we go to order the employee said he was sorry but they are closed. The time is now 8:50 and he said they closed at 9:00 and not 10:00 as it reflected on google. Either way terrible service which is disappointing because it was a favorite spot that me and my family would love to visit when we came to town. Previous visits the service had always been great but this last experience was enough to make me never want to go back.
