I came in today to browse. The guy behind the counter greeted me and asked if I needed anything. I told him I was just browsing and had a look around. They had an amazing selection of games and accessories. I asked the guy behind the counter a few questions about games. His general knowledge on these games was very impressive. I quite enjoyed talking to him. I bought a few things and thanked him for his time. Its been a long time since Ive left a store in such a good mood. My only regret was not asking his name. If you stop in definitely have a chat with the guy with black hair and glassses. Ill definitely be coming back because of him.

This place is incredible. They have many rare items in stock. Prices are not too either. They had a bunch of GBA’s, SP’s, DMG’s, etc. etc. etc.

They are very helpful and offer a good price for their games and systems/accessories. Their offers for trade ins are also fair and I was able to trade in games that are no longer accepted at GameStop.

Top broken when returned to me, disk drive broken and making weird sound, called me to ask me if the disk drive was broken before I stated no. they told me that it was broken and also was the top of ps4 I informed him that the top was not broken when U brought it in and the young lady with the purple hair opened the top n maybe she broke it I was told there is no way she could have broken it. Very rude on the phone when I was asking why do they have her taking things apart if she doesnt do repairs.I was told to make sure I donut bring roaches into their store.

My husband tried to purchase a retro game system here. He was told that the ps3 was $130, but he would have to purchase $50 in games and accessories to be able to purchase the game system because of the “console shortage”.The problem we have with that is ps3s are not in demand and you can buy them on eBay for around $100. He wanted to support a local business by paying a little extra for the game system instead of just buying it online.However, they would not sell it to him unless he spent $50 extra. That just doesn’t seem fair. I would understand if it was a ps5 or ps4 but it is an outdated system that isn’t being scalped at all. Probably will not be back to this game store which is a shame because we always liked it here.

Called about my sons Xbox 360 and they told me to bring it on in. Drive down, walk into the store and they send me away without so much as a hello saying they dont repair THOSE Xbox 360s. Couldve told me that before I drove down in the rain trying to get my poor little guys xbox fixed or at least his game thats stuck inside of it.

The people inside were nice and professional. They had my phone fixed within 2 hours at a good price

Nice workers. Also smelled like weed when we walked in. Or a skunk. But why would the inside of a building smell like a skunk? Anyway, the place was VERY busy so maybe a customer smelled like that. Idk. 🤷‍♀️One worker was super helpful. Overall they were helpful and we got what we came to get. So that was good.😊

My sons LCD was broken. The screen was black on half of it. I was very satisfied at the job they did in fixing my sons Switch Lite LCD screen. When I picked it up, it was like a new system. I went in today looking for a GameCube memory card. The only other option I had was to order it online and wait... good thing they had a variety in stock! Fast and friendly service with a MASK! Wasted more money in gas than they offered me for two game consoles. Called and asked for an estimate and they told me they couldn’t give me one over the phone, drove out there only to be told they’d give me 15$ for both a PlayStation and PlayStation 2. Don’t waste your time or gas, just know they won’t give you anything worth what you have.Employees don’t greet you when you come in, and multiple times when I’ve come down to browse I’ve walked the whole store and left without being spoken too. This has not been a one time occurrence, and happens every time I come in.

Some of the employees are very low energy. But the rest and kind and helpful. And they have such a wide selection, I love going here and finding something I wanted that wasnt there before, or I had not seen. And they have a nice system for staying clean too!

They should give you more than seven days to bring something back if its not working. At least thirty days. I have used them before and had no problem. But I guess they guy didnt care, so I want be back anymore.

With the current status of our world, its nice to see a local business workout ways to stay open and still keep their employees and customers safe the best they can.I wanted to pickup a couple of thing to keep myself busy at the house so I contacted them through Facebook, and got a very quick response stating they had what I wanted. Got to the store to see that they were taking certain precautions to keep everyone safe, which made me happy to see. When all was said and done, very quick and friendly. I was in & out within about 3-4 minutes with everything I was wanting. I highly recommend shopping with these guys!

This second time around was a very bad experience for me and my family. We took my sons switch here and we thought it would be a success but it turned out that it just kept being problem after problem. They said one thing was wrong with the switch then they called and said they found something else wrong with it. They said they will give a discount but really it was just trying to keep getting more money out of us. Instead of it being about great customer service for the customer it was just about getting more and more money. It was horrible. I thought this was supposed to be a family friendly place but its not. I really had to pray for you guys. Yall have a blessed day to you and your employees.

My experience with play and talk was very good. We had some bumps at first trying to get a switch we bought from a guy online fixed, FYI dont buy a switch from some random online, go to play and talk and get one from them first. It will save you alot of repairs and alot of money 💰. After we got our switch from play and talk it worked great but it was used and had some minor issues. Play and talk gave us store credit and covered their warranty and we got a brand new switch right when they got new ones in stock. Had to wait of course for the new switches to get in the store, but who hasnt been waiting for a switch they are ridiculously hard to find right now !! . Play and talk had great customer service and the new switch works amazing . Definitely will recommend play and talk to folks and will be a returning customer. Thanks guys.

People are friendly but bought 3 games there in a span of a month...had to return all 3 because they didnt work....shouldnt they test them before they sell them...tired of wasting my time making trips there to buy then take the games back...that being said they dont give you an issue returning the games but 3 games bought and 3 games returned....not a good ratio....just saying

TLDR version: they fixed a broken controller really fast, and for a very reasonable price, and the people and store are awesome.I have passed this place many times, and finally went in last week (on advice from a friend) for repairs to a faulty switch controller (with multiple problems). The staff was really friendly, helpful, and well informed. Also, they were really fast. They had it working like new in 20 minutes. I was going to run another errand while they fixed it, but was mesmerized with all the... stuff. Their inventory is impressive! They have current gen games, older games and systems, controllers and peripherals for all of them, refurbished stuff, 3rd party stuff. While there, a couple of people came in and sold old stuff, their prices sounded fair from what I could tell.

Every time I come here is always wonderful. The employees are quite courteous and generally greet you the moment your foot is in the door. The selection of games is always a dream to look at and the prices are usually pretty good. I recommend this place to anyone looking to get any video game or phone repairs and game enthusiasts alike. You wont be disappointed!

The best place to buy video games. Everyone there is very kind and they are always there to help you. I have asked for game recommendations and every game they have recommended to me was an amazing experience. If you want a video game but you dont know exactly what you want this is the perfect place. Even when you know what you want 99% of the time they will have what you want at a fair price. Some people will see this and think this is a fake review but it isnt. I genuinely think that this is the best place to buy anything video game related.

Right off the bat, I want to 100% recommend Play & Talk.I’ve been doing business, more or less, with these folks since they were working out of the Bruno’s next door, and I gotta say that it’s great to have a small business like Play & Talk here in Mobile.I recently had PS4 Pro issues: freezing and crashing in-game, with brutally long reboots and awful performance. I called Play & Talk to ask their professional opinion, and was told a hard drive replacement was my best option. I went in and was quoted a price for a 2 Terabyte hard drive replacement. When they called 3 days later after repairing the console, I arrived to find that my console was ready to go, and the ticket was the exact price I had been quoted in-shop, no bs whatsoever. My console’s performance is now better than ever, my wallet is still in good shape, and I have no hesitations about coming to them about any of my future issues.Honestly I can be pretty (or mostly) cynical. Or perhaps I’ve just been ripped off one too many times. But Play & Talk’s no non-sense staff, local style, and consistent delivery of good service all give me a little more hope as someone who just wants some proven professional help with my digital world. Too much to ask? Not at Play & Talk, folks.
