Cedar Ave Repair shop may seem like good local spot to have your car maintained, but all the glitter is not gold. The staff is friendly but not trustworthy. I had both of my vehicles serviced here for quite sometime and I was totally ripped off. I paid a premium price for multiple services on my vehicles the quality of work was pathetic. The owner, Dale, comes off as a nice but he is truly slimy. Dale claimed he found and fixed multiple leaks in my luxury vehicle and charged me a premium price to fix the leaks but he never fixed the leaks. The next day I noticed my vehicle was still leaking fluid. I took it back to Cedar Ave Repair to fix the leaks which the owner Dale stood by the quality of his work and insisted the leaks had been fixed. This was a lie! After taking my vehicle to a dealership for service, it was revealed that the work Dale performed on my vehicle was held together by zip ties and clothes. The mechanics at the dealership was floored that an ASE Certified Mechanic would do such a terrible job. Unfortunately, my vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive until the faulty work was fixed. The faulty mechanic work at Cedar Ave Repair cost me more money in the long run to fix. Long story short,if you are in need of service to your car find a more reliable and honest mechanic shop because Cedar Ave Repair is not that shop. My recommendation is to drive on past Cedar Ave Repair and find another South Minneapolis repair shop whos honest, dependable, and knows how to get the job done because Cedar Ave Repair will turn your vehicle into a lemon. Cedar Ave Repair is a total sham and an embarrassment to the repair industry and a real embarrassment to the South Minneapolis Nokomis community.

I enjoyed my experience with them. They were honest and upfront in each step of the process. I took a gamble considering I drove 2000 miles the next week I had my car back from them and it paid off. Great work guys.

Owner is very nice and transparent about his costs to repair your car. He will also give you option for good used or rebuilt parts if you’re on a budget. They keep my 1997 Honda Accord wagon with 275K running safely.

They are the best ever! Very friendly and welcoming! My favorite guys! Even if I need just air in my tire or a quick service check they do it on the spot! They do amazing work, great pricing, they take care of you ASAP even when they are overloaded! See Dale or Mike they are awesome!

10:27 2029 I went to repair a piece of the steering wheel I the direction of the left hand tire of my car because it thundered erro when I turned it I what they said is that they were the brakes ok they put them for 390 dollars only for the front ones I the problem never was solved the car is worse

Honesty and Integrity - this shop has both. They take appointments and you can also schedule early morning appointments for maintenance so you can sit and wait (for minutes, not hours). Fair pricing on repairs and will only repair what needs to be done. Will openly and honestly discuss your vehicle and not force any unnecessary repairs/costs on their customers. Give them a chance - you wont be disappointed.

They recently reopened after changing ownership but their level of service is still good.Dale was in constant communication with me about my car and he was super flexible

Cedar Ave Repair has always come to my rescue with honest, skilled, friendly service at very affordable rates. These guys are honest, friendly, and do quality work at a great price. We’ve been taking our cars here (foreign and domestic) for over 5 years for all kinds of maintenance and have always been happy with the result. This is by far the most honest mechanic shop in the entire state of MN. They are knowledgeable, friendly, fast, and best of all priced to fit my budget! I recommend all my family and friends here every time someone mentions needing car repairs!!

I had dealing with a stuck tailgate on my truck for a couple of weeks. The dealer had quoted me an enormous amount to fix it. I decided to try myself only to be foiled by plastic trim. I took it to Cedar Avenue Repair and admitted defeat. In less than 30 minutes he found a break in the wire and instead of charging me a bunch to fix the handle he called me back and told me to pick it up. I have never had that level of honesty from a shop before and will always bring my vehicles there from now on.

Dale and his team are knowledgeable, friendly and always explain the options for repair before doing any work. Couldn’t be more satisfied.

After having AAA come to change my flat tire, I noticed a noticed a noise after driving for a bit. I called at 5:15p and Terry said Bring it over, I will check it. May not be able to fix it tonight, but Ill check you tire. This man came out in the cold and checked the lug nuts, he tightened them (I thought AAA was supposed to make sure this would not be an issue). I offered to pay him, he said no charge! I left my flat tire there to be repaired, so impressed!! Thank you Sir Terry! I will be back and refer family and friends!
