I’ve always had great experience working with Jake and crew. They are professional and courteous and most of all trustworthy. They are my first choice for any car repair and service. I know they are honest which is the most important quality that I am looking for.

After living in so many different states and getting ripped off all the time especially in NY I am so happy to say I found the most honest mechanic!! Jake is so awesome! The best is I’ve been to him twice now and the first time he saved me money cause he told me to call the dealer for a recall and sure enough it was recalled. The second time I went to have him fix my tail light after telling him the dealership wanted almost 1,000 to replace it. He got on his computer and helped me find one. He even offered to put it on for free for me. He saved me over 700 plus when I tried to tip him for putting it in he wouldn’t take the money. Talk about awesome customer service!!

I rarely recommend companies to people but would not hesitant to recommend these guys to family and friends. We recently had a battery replaced and oil change and have had oil changes in the past. I had a tough situation after an Oil Change at Kennedy Transmission. Basically an Oil Filter failed.The GM Mike could of made it very difficult for me to submit an Insurance claim. Instead, the tone of our dialogue was always professional and courteous. He even advocated for me when the Insurance claim was taking longer than expected.This was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever experienced. Mike always listened to me, and assisted me through the process. Mikes Insurance ended up replacing my engine.Mike is honest, and exudes integrity. We need more business peoplelike Mike in the Auto Repair business.

Have you ever needed to get your car repaired and left with a giant smile on your face? It’s not typical, but is what happened after our experience here. My moms car broke down, and I had absolutely no idea where to send her. It was random that I sent her to this business. I’m so, SO glad I did. They were honest, and were able to do a more minor repair than we were expecting. The best part is that I have a place I feel comfortable sending my mom to in the future. Within five minutes of talking to Josh, I knew that I was talking to a capable, experienced, knowledgeable transmission person (as opposed to the dealership where I had previously went, who only could read the codes!). Mike & the gang here at Kennedy are top notch. My car needed a rare part to be repaired. Mike got on the phone immediately to track down the part. Several calls later, Mike found it in Canada. I was having transmission issues with my truck so I gave Kennedy Transmission a call. They were able to hop in and take the truck for a free diagnostic drive that same day to look/feel for anything out of the ordinary. When speaking with Mike (owner), I got the impression that he takes pride in his work and reputation and was not looking to just make a quick buck hoping that I would have to come back in the near future. They are not open on the weekends which is slightly inconvenient to go without your vehicle for an extra couple of days while it isnt being worked on but I thought it was well worth the wait. Being a paranoid guy that spent more on the transmission repairs than my truck was worth, I have had two different occasions where I thought something wasnt quite right with the transmission and they were happy to go for another test drive to confirm my paranoia. Worth mentioning that the transmission work is under warranty, and they work with Synchrony Bank to help finance larger repairs.

If you are looking for a place you can trust in the West Metro that is honest, reliable, efficient, and fast, this is the place to go. Mike and his staff definitely give this place a small town Mom and Pop feel and did a great job. I highly recommend them!

My car was brought over here by another shop that thought my issue was transmission related, and that shop wouldnt have the capacity to handle the problem. After Kennedy took a look, they determined it wasnt transmission related, which made the repair cost considerably less.Thanks to them for determining the real problem, and Ill consider them for future jobs!

The Plymouth location rebuilt my cars transmission in January 2018. When I started having issues again a few weeks ago, it was still under warranty and they rebuilt it again at no charge to me. They said they had to purchase additional parts this go around that werent needed the first time, but did not charge me for them. While it took longer to complete this second time (almost 2 weeks vs. a few days), it also fell on a holiday week, parts had to be ordered, etc. They (Mike) always kept me updated throughout the process on how things were going. The car had to be transported from the Bloomington location where I initially brought it to the Plymouth location due to not enough people at the Bloomington one. Kennedy had it brought back to Bloomington when they were done, which was nice of them since that was much closer to me. Also, when the transmission failed the first time in 2018, and the tow truck company that transported my car to their shop broke my seatbelt and refused to take ownership, Kennedy replaced it at no charge to me, even though it wasnt their fault. They are always friendly, sympathetic (car issues arent fun), honest, and stand by their work.

Was desperately trying to find an honest place for my daughter to take her truck. Been burned badly in the past by disreputable places quoting thousands of dollars in work needed. I was put at ease from the moment I called until the work was fully completed. Trust is a word I do not use lightly, but I will use it here. Not only did he give my daughter updates, but he called Mom too because he sensed my angst. Talk about going above and beyond! 5+ stars in my book.

Great people equal good service

I had a dealer recommend an almost $500 service for a right axle transmission seal leak. I called Kennedy Transmission of Plymouth and spoke to Jake about checking it out and possibly doing this service. His response, sure, we can definitely take a look at it. I asked what it would cost and his response was Nothing, Im sure they charged you already...WHAT??? Who does that??? They got me in very fast and an hour later they told me it looks great and I wont be spending any money on my car today. How good is that?? Will definitely be coming back to this shop and Id recommend them to anyone at this point. Thanks for the excellent service!!UPDATE 1: I told Jake that I thought I may have some minor transmission issues on my van. He said to try some engine cleaner before I spent any money on them working on it. I did that and seems to be working better!UPDATE 2: Brought my other car in for A/C work and possible suspension noise. They quickly diagnosed and recharged my AC at a reasonable price. They put the car up and couldn’t find any issues with the front end, so sent it home with me after driving it around multiple times. Said to bring it back if I continued to hear/feel anything. I was thinking this was going to be a pretty expensive trip and it only ended up being $100 and my AC is ice cold and I have more confidence in my front end. Thanks Mike and Jake!They are easily turning into my goto local guys!

If I could give 6 stars I would! Not only do they do great work, they were extremely honest. They did not at all try to take advantage of me and when they could have easily said the transmission was shot, they didnt. They fixed only what was needed. They listened to me and did not make me feel like an idiot, and as a woman, that tells me all I need to know. Highly recommend the place and will be using this as my go to place!

Took my vehicle here to Mikes Kennedy transmission for a problem that seeemed like the Transmission was slipping turns out josh and the crew found out it was not a transmission problem at all. Turns out it was a plugged up catalytic converter!

We felt like we were treated fairly and quickly. That says a lot about business these days.

Overpriced and low quality work. I had to pay of hundreds of dollars over and above what they charged me to rectify the issue. Get your wheel bearings replaced somewhere else!
