Horrible communication. My vehicle was towed here by AAA on a Friday early evening. Its Tuesday evening the following week and I have yet to get a call from ANYONE at this shop. Side bar, these people supposedly fixed my car by replacing a $550 solenoid on 10/6, my vehicle stalled out exhibiting the same issues on 10/15. Owner Jeff said he would have someone look at it on Monday morning 10/18 and apologized for his techs. Its now 10/19 with no word or follow up on why my vehicle has stopped after they serviced it now two weeks ago. AAA recommends this place and I am doing everything I can to have them re-evalute their recommendation of this place. Their reputation is on the line with this place! STAY AWAY! NOW, they are ignoring my calls!! I have left a message for the owner to resolve. Still waiting.......

Had some maintenance work done and it was not done correctly and was leaking. When I brought it back they wanted to charge me to diagnose it. Brought it somewhere else and they fixed what was done incorrectly. Had this happen on another occasion with another repair. Very high priced. Will not be going back.

The guys at Hage-Kobany are fantastic! They help me stay on top of regular maintenance, do their best to keep repairs economical, and stay in communication so that I always know what the expect when they have my vehicle in the shop. I never feel that they are trying to sell me anything- just sharing their knowledge on what needs to be worked on (or has potential to go wrong) and my options to fix it. I send all my friends to this shop!

I wanted to post the 100th good review... Im slightly disappointed im not but other than that service was great and the guys at the shop were upfront and honest and Im still here so the brakes work!! Had the work done in a few hours and im happy!

I went in with my wife, we were comfortably seated, were explained as to how long it may take for the work to be done ! There were bottles of H2O if we would like one ! The two gentlemen were great ! After the work was done, the young man with the “man bun” We did not catch his name, said she handled well, said he thought he noticed a sound. To the people that review this transmission shop and give it a bad rating because of price do not listen this is about how their workmanship is and what kind of professionalism they bring to this all I got to say is you get what you pay for you might be able to go down the road and get it at turbo Tims for $1,000 but guess what it aint the quality I guarantee it dont be mistaken these guys are the best around.! This is the only shop I trust. Theyve kept my dodge running the passed 6 years. It probably should have lasted 6 months. They also check out vehicles before you buy them, so you dont end up with a lemon.

Ill definitely be back when ever I need work done. They have great people and great prices. They did try to over sale me on any thing and give me a ride home while they worked on my car. Far as repair shop go this was my best experience

I took my car here with a transmission issue. They gave me an estimate of $4000-5000 for the repair. The second opinion I received elsewhere was for $1000. Thats a big enough difference to me to write something about it so no one else uses this company. Try Turbo Tims instead.

I am a very knowledgeable customer, came here to discuss the malfunctions I am having with my transmission. When the snow event clears I am going to drop off my car for an $89 diagnoses and hope for good news. (My spare car is sporting 4 baldies and is paralyzed by snow.) Several mechanic friends mentioned this shop to me, (2 who told me to come here vs their shop) and it is not a Johnny come lately business, thus I am giving 5 stars for my limited experience here.

They really know a vehicle. if there was a problem after fixing it they will always take of it. I go there because of how much they do know about a vehicle. I’d pay $300 Extra to bring my car anywhere else. Brought my car in for a brake job and the wheel fell off 500 feet down the street from there parking lot when I left. Would rather have a small child work on my car.

The process of getting a transmission replaced isnt exactly fun, but the team at Hage-Kobany made it as smooth as possible. They set realistic expectations on the timeline, had open communication and provided status updates, and never tried to over-sell or add on any unnecessary charges (which has been my experience at several other auto shops). I primarily worked with Austin, who was great!

Austin and Jackson are amazing to work with. They kept me informed on all steps taken and they were the only place in the area willing to try to fix my transmission instead of telling me I had no choice but to replace it.

Except for maybe 1, none of my tires were mounted properly. Because they constantly lost air, even the 2 they replaced 7 months later, I needed replacements . Also, The bushing they replaced was not done correctly and it had to be replaced a year later and caused damage to a part that wasnt available.This is really sad to me because theyre nice guys but they just didnt serve me right.

My car got towed in on a Monday night. Tuesday morning the mechanic told me it was a busy day, but if they couldnt get to my car Tuesday it would be a priority Wednesday morning and they could help set me up with a rental in the meantime. FRIDAY afternoon when I had still heard nothing I called them and was told someone was looking at it then...and then no one had a chance to call me back until after they closed for the weekend. No mention of a rental. When I finally got the car back it was out of gas. The tank had been more than half full when I dropped it off. Did someone leave idling for hours? Joyride it? We may never know.(To be clear: they DID get the work done, and and one star is not them for being busy, but for being dishonest about how busy they were and poor communication in general).

Hage-Kobany are very fair priced. Do the job right, and will provide a loaner car if necessary. Jamison and his team are top notch! Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful experience with Hage-Kobany. Needed a fuel filter replacement on my 2011 Ford Edge. Very quick with repair, car drives like new, excellent value, and went to additional lengths to help me out. Also having a lender car while your vehicle is being repaired is such an added value. I would have spent even more money on Ubers to and from work, adding even more to the costs of an unfortunate situation. Will definitely return for any future repairs and highly recommend to others.

Friendly service. They seem to be very thorough. Prices are reasonable. Limited parking but there always seems to be one vacant spot. If you want they will email you when its time for service again.EDIT: Changed from 5 star to 1 star. I moved from the local area but drove a good distance for my last oil change there. As usual they checked for things that may need repair. Among the list of things they said needed repair, I was told I had serious engine and transmission oil leaks. I told the guy that there were no oil drip spots where I park my car. He shrugged and said again that I had serious leaks that needed attention. I told him to finish the oil change so I could leave. Today after 2000 miles since that oil change, there are still no drip spots where I park and the dipstick still shows full. They have zero credibility with me now. I dont know if it was a renegade mechanic or policy change that caused their bad diagnosis but I wont be back again.

-1 star for price. Its on the high end.-1/2 star for strong arming me into a replacing something that didnt need to be replaced. I should have just said no, but I got tired of arguing about why they didnt need to replace it. So I just gave in.- 1/2 a star because 700 dollars later and it turns out, although they did a good job on the work they did, they still didnt completely solve the problem. Of course, it would be another 100 dollar diagnostic fee for them to figure out what they missed.

Hage -Kobany makes you feel right at home. They are honest and have honest prices. I love how they talked to me first about the parts needing to be replaced before just replacing them and about my other options. Would definitely recommend.

They are the kind of shop who will call and say it was something simple and then not try to up-sell you .... like some of the other places in Columbia Heights. Oh my transmission is a dream now. My 25 year old F150 has been revived by the best transmission place in town . They did apologize that a few bolts broke and parts were missing from my transmission; they did not charge me much more and I love the service. (Oh I suspected that bolts might break as I have done a lot of work on this truck and have broken my share of bolts). Fast honest dependable service. If you have a transmission issue take it here.

These guys are the best.I cannot wax eloquently enough about these guys, they truly are the best. My family has been going to them for many years now and after I got my first car I have continued to go to them. Ive started to do more and more work on my car myself and they have been such a generous resource for me when I have questions or just need a helping hand with a small thing. I have great faith in their ability to diagnose problems and whenever I have something tricky I always go to them first.Their prices are always super Fair, and I have never felt like I have been cheated or treated unfairly by them either during or after service.Theres a reason theyre so popular of course and so if youre looking to get serviced on make sure you schedule an advance as they tend to get very busy. This seems to be especially true right before the winter season when everybody needs new tires and wants to get their batteries checked et cetera.Jeff is the man.

How they handled my car is disappointing. They didnt really fix the braking sound of my car. And recently, I spent nearly $700 on a repair and when they gave the car back to me, they told me that they had done a full inspection and EVERYTHING looked perfect. TWO WEEKS LATER, I took the car in for a due tire rotation, then they told me there were two other major issues that emerged and would cost me another $1000. How they had missed these two major issues two weeks earlier is beyond me.When I asked them to come up with a solution because of the negligence of duty on their part, they were not responsive at all. And they say their goal is to make their customers happy. Interesting!I would recommend Hage-Kobany Transmissions. And be careful next time when they tell you your car is in great condition.

Great service and very fast! Total charges came in exactly as estimated and work was done within 24 hours. The guys kept me informed on everything and never pressured me to fix more things on my aging truck. I would highly recommend them!

I have used Hage Kobany for about 15 years now. My family has for about 30 years. There is not another Transmission Shop in Minnesota that can compare. Always friendly and always honest. I myself run a shop, but the one thing we dont do is rebuild transmissions. We recommend HK to everyone because we trust them. And now my customers share that same trust for them. Most of the technicians have been there since Ive been using them. That tells you something.

I had one great experience with Hage-Kobany and one that was very disappointing.The first time I got everything I expected. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, and they fixed everything that needed fixing at a good price. Thats why I went back a second time.Unfortunately, I then got screwed pretty badly. I brought my car in to get my AC/Heat fixed among other things. After leaving my car there for almost 36 hours (which was reasonable for how much needed fixing), I got my car back and the AC still wasnt working; the fan was working again, but no cold air.I called back expecting them to fix the problem at their cost since Id already paid them close to $1500 for their service and because of the inconvenience of it would be to leave my car there another day. Or at the very least, I expected an apology.Instead, I was told explicitly that they assumed the problem had been fixed when they reconnected the blower motor and that Id have to pay more for them to take another look at it. I suggested that that assumption was their mistake and that they should rectify it. Nope, I was told. I asked, So its on me, then?Yes, Im told.Thats the last time Ill go there.

I definitely will continue to have my vehicle serviced and maintained by Hage-Kobany! Its always great service and a friendly place to bring my car. Very reasonable prices as well.

I recently had my 2008 Saturn Vue in for a transmission rebuild. Hage-Kobany was the only shop that pointed out GM was reimbursing for this type of work if the transmission had a wave plate issue, which my car did. I dealt with Jamison who was very honest and upfront with and came in under the the price quote I was given. I am very stratified with the services received and will gladly pass along what a great place this is to get your vehicle services.

Hage-Kobany have helped me over the past 17 years with numerous jobs on 4 different vehicles. They have always given honest, accurate quotes, and done quality work. I bring my vehicle there for oil changes, upon which they inspect my vehicle, giving me a timeline of when I should have certain items replaced. There have been numerous times when Ive gon in, and they tell me to wait 1 more oil change before having the work completed, as it was not necassary at that time. That, to me, shows their honesty and character!I have referred Hage-Kobany to numberous friends, family, and co-workers, all of which have been more than satisified, and have gone back again! I even had them inspect my car the first day I bought it, finding 3 different items to be fixed, which I brought back to the dealer and made them repair for free before my warranty had expired.Its good to know I have a mechanic I can trust! I would reccomend them to anyone!
